Dollar Tree customer service/ unprofessional manager

On 29 October 2017, I was shopping at store #7156 (the NEW location in Hinesville, Ga). I was in the store for approximately 20-30 minutes before heading to the checkout line. Upon approaching the checkout line, I noticed that there was two cashiers assisting other customers. At the cash registers, I also noticed the lights which indicate if the lane is open or closed, (one was on and the other was off). Obviously, I choose the lane that had the light on. I ended up getting in line behind a customer that had an enormous amount of items. I didn't consider this to be a problem because I was next in line. After standing in line for 5 minutes waiting for the cashier to finish, about 4-5 more customers started to line up behind me. About a minute or two later, the cashier (which turned out to be the manager named Eddie) that was previously on the checkout line with the light off went over to open the cash register to my left. Once the lane was opened, Eddie proceeded to say, "She (the cashier) can help customers on this register." As opposed to saying, "She can help the NEXT customer in line." As soon as he made this statement, customers that were at the back of my line made a mad dash to get to the new lane. After this occurred, I decided to stay in the line that I was in, because after all I was next in line. At this time, I had been waiting in this line approximately 7-8 minutes when the manager Eddie said, "Ma'am, She can help you at the next register." I told him that I was good and I'll wait. Then he proceeds to say that the register was closed despite having the open light on. Then he told the cashier to turn off the light. Once again, Eddie told me that the register was closed. I informed him that I had been standing in the line for over 5 minutes before he decided to close the line (and turn off the light) and that that was not fair to me or my child to have to get in another line and wait additional time when he allowed other customers to jump ahead of me by not opening the new checkout lane properly. He rudely stated that I could stay in the lane but the cashier was not going to cash me out because the lane was closed. At other stores, if the lane is closing, if you are already in line the cashier or manager will still check you out. I could see his point, IF I had initially went to the lane and it was closed when I got there, or IF I walked up to the lane after he closed it. However, that was not the case. I stood in that line over 5 minutes waiting for service and to be treated like this. The manager was very RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL. Needless to say, I did not purchase any of the items that I had picked out. I was set to purchase a great deal of items but did not because of the treatment that I received. In my opinion, this store/ corporation stands to loose a lot of business because of people in management positions that don't know how to manage. It's truly sad because I genuinely like Dollar Tree stores and after the treatment that I received, I doubt that I will ever shop in one again (at least not this one). When placed in a management position, managers need to realize that a customers time is just as important as his/ her time. The same way Eddie values his time, so do I and I don't like wasting it standing in line unnecessarily. For the resolution, I would like an apology. However, I seriously doubt that will happen. As soon as the incident occurred, I called the number for corporate headquarters twice, but have yet to receive even a phone call. I sincerely hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, but it probably already has because Eddie seemed very comfortable with his actions regardless of what I said and despite how long I had been waiting prior to him closing the register and turning off the light.

Here's a thought... If customers are a priority, I suggest that Eddie receive more customer service/ relations training. After all, if it weren't for customers he probably wouldn't have a job. Also, if being nice and professional is too hard for Eddie, maybe he should find another line of work!

Hope this issue gets resolved!

Dollar Tree wyoming pa dollar tree

HI I was in the Wyoming store on Tuesday and I have to say, the bathroom was disgusting, the cashier at first told me they didn't have one. The manager guy was very rude to me and didn't help me at all. The store had stuff all over the floor. I will never ever go there again. Disgusting. This store should be ashamed of itself. Oh also the people they let work there have piercings all over their face which is not professional at all and they talk about their sex lives while you are in line.

Dollar Tree salted peanuts & honey glazed peanuts in a jar.

I live in Connecticut and frequently shop in your Danbury and New Milford stores. These stores are now charging 6.35 % sales tax on the above jarred peanuts. This is a grocery food item and you are NOT by Connecticut tax laws allowed to charge sales taxes on these items. I have receipts from July & August of 2017 from your stores showing these items as non-taxable. So why are you now charging a sales tax? You are breaking the law ! You need to look into this matter immediately.

Additionally, your New Milford in CT has mostly empty shelves, is littered with empty boxes, and the workers are very rude. It's a disgrace !

I buy in bulk and do not appreciate being charged 6.35% sales taxes on food products that I know are non-taxable.

Dollar Tree manager

I believe the manage at this location : 15156 W Whitesbridge Ave. Kerman Ca [protected] is over charging customers, I have caught her twice in a month and she gets upset when we ask for receipts, last night 11-1-17 I purchased 8 items and she charged 10.00 and gave no receipt. Please check on this. Thank you. I BELIEVE SHE IS EITHER STEALING PRODUCT OR NOT BEING TRUTHFUL WITH RINGING UP CHARGES. I believe she is taking product home as well.

Dollar Tree store manager, assistant manager, employees

Your store manager Christina is very rude and disrespectful. She curses people out and she kicks them out of the store. When you ask her name she says her name is Tina or she does not want to give her name at all. All she do is sit in the office laughing and talking to the other managers. It is this manager name Jasmine. She called the customer a b[censor] and kicked her out of the store. She laughed in the customer face and told her she will deny her sale. It is also another manager name mazi. I think that is her name I don't know if I am spelling it right. I know she is short with glasses. She is also rude to the customers. There is an employee name Melissa she yells at the customers and gets very rude. They have been out of helium for a week now all because they do not want to blow the balloons up. Something has to be done about this store they are out of control. They need to be fired this has been going on since the store opened .Christina has accused a customer of stealing and they really didn't steal anything. You are losing a lot of customers due to the way the store is ran by the managers . It is some cashier that are nice that will help you out talk nice to the customer, treat the customers with respect.Corporate needs to come in one day without letting the managers know your coming.Especially to catch Christina and the other managers in the act to see the way they treats the customers. I have talked to the other customers and we all feel the same way. That you are going to lose a lot of customers because of the managers. All the managers do is sit in the office and talk to each other laughing and talking. The managers don't do no work they are always too busy talking to each other . Please do something about these managers. I love shopping at Dollar Tree but something has to be done about these managers. All they care about is they pay check and not the customers. They are young and immature with attitude's. A lot of us customers have footage on how they act in the store. We could bring it to the news and the Better Business Bureau but we wanted to tell corporate first. I have been to other dollar trees and none of them act like this one.I have been treated with much more respect at other Dollar Trees. I should not have to travel out of my neighborhood to go another Dollar Tree to get respect and good customer service. I am older enough to be they mother.Dollar Tree on 2294 Nostrand Ave Brooklyn, NY 11210 is horrible. PLEASE HELP THE DOLLAR TREE CUSTOMERS

Dollar Tree the appearance of the store

On a weely basic this store appearance is not good for the customer to shop at. When you walk in the store the customer has to walk over boxes just to shop in the store. This is every week when the truck has drop. This store is in the need of a manager organized structure within the store. When you get to the check out I should not have to take the things out I buy from the hand cart and then take the hand cart back from where I got it from.

Dollar Tree disrespectful cashier

I was standing at the register and my husband came and put something in the belt and she says don't throw it up there like that she then started laughing . I then asked him what was that for and she said in a slow tone it's a spoon you know you use it for this or that and I said ok I know what a spoon is and I'm not talking to you . She laughs and says hurry up and get out of here I feel sorry for you and your family. I said you call this being professional your at work she laughs and slams my receipt down saying I enjoy my job how ever I choose. I said by being disrespectful to customers. She says and says yup bye.

Dollar Tree customer service

Store employees at the Tully road location, there were 5 or 6 people working in the evening and only one of the employees that was really amazing switching from doing returns to working the register, filling balloons without missing a beat! She was very nice and friendly thank you Laura, they need more like you! As for the managers, well... If Anita is a manager, she needs some serious lessons in how customer service is supposed to be. She is loud and very rude, she's not good for your store! Josephine Perez San jose, Calif.

Dollar Tree the store itself

The store in Peekskill, ny on 1847 east Main Street at the beach shopping Center location is a disgrace. There is nothing on shelves stuff thrown all over and boxes everywhere. Nothing is organized, because there is nothing up. You can't even walk down the isles. This store has been in this condition for a long while, now with the holidays it's horrible. I would be embarrassed to own this store. Someone is going to get hurt. I have asked why and they just shake their head this store needs a surprise corporate visit.

Dollar Tree managers

The managers get movies and they don't put out the movies they keep them in back so the employees can look thru them first to take to good movies then later put out what's left so there is no good ones for customers to buy. Also manager ceyanice is always on her cell phone when working and not helping customers. I have asked for help from her and she says I'm on phone look for someone else. Very rude.

Dollar Tree josie a store manager @the dollar tree in lawndale, ca

My store (05298) manager (Josie) is very rude and very unprofessional always degrading her assossiates in front of customers. She hired me knowing I had a little bit of back problems and still makes me carry the heaviest boxes but gets mad because I'm unable to at times. I had an incident at work and she still hasn't told me to file an incident report and is getting mad because I didn't tell her that same day. I told her the next day because i had a bruised eye and my wrist might be sprained. I also didn't tell her that same day because she was pressuring me to finish my boxes & clean the aisles. I was too busy and completely forgot about the box falling on my face and wrist.

Dollar Tree dollar tree at 209 e. 103rd street, chicago, il 60628

My experience at the Dollar Tree new location at 209 E. 103rd in Chicago unfortunately made me never purchase anthing there again. There was only 1 register open & after cashier asked for help as she had a long line, it was 10 minutes before other staff members came onto the floor. As a paying customer my time is valuable also. For others shopping there, I hope this issue will be resolved by more management training or hiring more help especially with the holidays coming soon.

Dollar Tree assistant managers gomattie and theresa.

Assistant Managers in charge...Attached is a picture of Gomattie Lying on boxes of products while on her phone surfing the web. Theresa was the only cashier on register and she was more interested in having a conversation with gomattie than cashing. The above ladies mentioned are known to be very rude, swears a lot while at work and lack customer service manners. I'm a regular customer at this location at 115 and Jamaica Ave which is the dirtiest store in the area. There were two very helpful young ladies Who was cleaning and packing the aisles Diana and Maria, I witnessed a previous employee who is working at another dollar tree (Charles) posing as a corporate official to harass the new employee (Maria )which was encouraged by the parties mentioned above just for laugh. This store is never clean, rat dropping's, items all over the floor and some of the employees have no customer service training, no hello, thank you for shopping or do come again and definitely no smiles. This location needs to be monitored and trained and might I suggest you take a look at the cameras because the people in charge is not doing" their job"

Dollar Tree no public restroom access for pregnant women

Requested the restroom key based on the sign on the restroom door. Was told very rudely that the restroom was closed. I left, called and asked to speak to the store manager. The person was agressive and yelled at me. When I quoted the State of Oregon law regarding the requirements of a restroom for a pregnant woman, I was told to stop cussing (which I didn't cuss) and hung up on. The store is in Roseburg Oregon 97471. I am also a store manager for a major corporation and I know the Oregon laws. Your company hires those that discriminate against pregnant customers. I will not be shopping there again and I will notify city officials, we are a small town.

Dollar Tree bad behaviour

I was in the store in Sedalia mo this morning on 10/25/17, there was a very rude woman talking loudly on the phone and basically cursing out who ever she was talking to, it sounded like another employee about a scheduling issue. there was no need to be so loud and rude to whomever she was talking to. also why is the back half of the store so empty, the aisles are bare and it looked like the stockers were taking forever putting things away, and when I went to the bathroom which is their stockroom it looked like hell, freight everywhere. maybe the young lady that was yelling on the phone should have been doing her job out on the floor rather than causing a scene where everyone could hear her, it seems every time I'm in there and she is working its pandemonium

Dollar Tree I am complaining about assistant manager ebony at the brandon bloomingdale location

Wanting to file a complaint on unprofessional, rude, aggressive behavior of an assistant manager Ebony at 865 E Bloomingdale Ave location in Brandon. I went to the store to return a box of 36 LED candles from a pick up at store order from dollar tree.com. she was outside on her cell phone and immediately saw me coming with the box and tried to turn me away saying that they don't do returns from online orders. I had called customer service online the evening before and was told to bring the product to the store and have manager there call the customer service online to verify that the right item was returned and the refund would be processed. I told Ebony this and she again said that they don't do online returns. She then got on the phone with her so called store manager and went inside the store with me standing there outside. I then proceeded to call the number for online customer service and walked inside. The customer service representive asked to talk to the manager and the assistant manager Ebony rudely said she couldn't talk because she was busy talking to her store manager on the phone. After hearing me tell the representative that she wasn't available to talk, she loudly sighed and rolled her eyes and she took my phone. She briefly to talked to the representative but then cut off that lady and slammed my phone down to continue talking to her store manager. On the phone with her manager, She attempted to return the led candles her own way and counted 24 candles in the box for return although I pointed out that if she counted again there was actually 36. She was very agitated at this point and rolled her eyes at me and said she will do it her way. She kept raising her voice at me and I asked her on several occasions to not raise her voice at me. While she was attempting to return the candles her own way, the customer service representative told me that Ebony cannot run my card because the item was not purchased at the store. It was an online order picked up at the store. Ebony continued to not listen and became more agitated and refused to call to the representative at this point. The representative asked me not run my card, that she would help me with the refund over the phone. She apologized to me and agreed that Ebony's behavior was very unprofessional. It was a very unpleasant experience having to deal with Ebony. She does not represent your company well. I have never in my life filed a complaint like this towards someone. Nothing may come of this complaint but I feel better sharing my experience with you to help prevent Ebony from treating customers like me in a very unprofessional, aggressive manner. I will be very hesitant/ high unlikely to ever order through this company thanks to Ebony.

Dollar Tree dollar tree customer appreciation day 10-15-17

I went into the store located on West Florissant, Ferguson, Mo on customer appreciation day and no one working there knew what I was talking about. I thought I was going to get a dollars off if I spent 10 dollars like last year no one knew anything about this, this is my second time submitting this info with no feedback. Does the company not respond to customer complaints? I requested a dollar coupon and left a message for someone in the office and no one even called to see what I was talking about. It was advertised online and finally another customer came in looking for the same deal saying she saw it on line and we did not need a coupon. They never passed out coupons and I am in and out of that store all the time.
