Dollar Tree bad customer service. rude managers. cashier who shortchanged us.

My husband and I are seniors on fixed income. We are customers of various Dollar Tree Stores for many years. Never had a problem until May 24, 2017.
I made a credit card purchase around 2:45 PM that day. My husband walked into the store and said he wanted 3 more items. I waited near the cashier's counter. He went to a different counter - just opened up by a cashier. I saw her while she rang up the 3 items and said $ 3.17. He handed her a $20 bill and said to her OUT OF A $20 BILL PLEASE.
This cashier made an error and rang it up as $5. She closed the register and handed him $ 1.83. He immediately corrected her saying she owned him $16.83. The cashier said, that she had a long day, was tired and not paying attention.
She called over the Assistant Manager. I explained what happened. She took the drawer into a room. Came back in a few minutes and said that the DRAWER DID NOT WEIGH OVER. This rude woman was not interested in any explantion we could give. She wanted us to leave the store. I said I am not leaving without correct change.
She called over the Manager, who was just as rude and miserable to deal with. I explained that the $20 was the only money my husband had. I put it in his wallet and saw him give it to the cashier. She told us to leave.
I said, YOU HAD BETTER CALL THE POLICE TO STRAIGHTEN THIS OUT.

The police came, but said they could not make the store give us the money.
The police escorted us outside because those arrogant managers wanted us out. FINE WAY TO TREAT LONG TIME CUSTOMERS.
We did file a police report, but the police told us JUST DON'T SHOP THERE ANYMORE. JUST FORGET ABOUT IT.
I asked him to get, from the manager the toll free number of the corporate office. They refused to give the number nor address of their corporate office.
All we got was a receipt and $ 1.83.

To this day, I have been calling and leaving messages for the Regional Manager. This Mark Dillman finally called back yesterday, and said he was going to look at a video tape to see what happened. I asked to see that video tape to prove it was not tampered with.
He was NOT appologetic in any way. I feel he did not believe us. Would not give us the benefit of the doubt and simply does not care if they lose a long time customer.
That survey you can enter by phone or online is a JOKE. They act like they care about the customer, but in fact, they do not.
I will not lose $15.00 and will continue this fight.

How odd that a multi-million dollar corporatation - Dollar Tree Stores - would attempt to steal $15 from senior citizens living month to month on social security.

A word to the wise. If you do shop at any Dollar Tree, WATCH YOUR WALLET. Count your change and make sure their cashiers know what bill amount you gave them.

Signed, A Feisty Senior Citizen

Dollar Tree ebt transaction and customer service

I am a grandmother of 9 I have 4 grandchildren living with me. I am a manager in retail and have been in retail for 28 years. I know my customer service and how to treat customers.this took place in the Cornelia ga. Store Last week on May 19th after working all day my grandson and I went grocery shopping. I have to watch every dollar we spend, my husband is disabled and my income has to go a long way. After selecting our item my grandson was getting a head ache and was hungry so we grabbed a drink and some snacks too. When the cashier rang our item and I slid my EBT card it wouldn't work. I ask her to key it in, "oh we don't do that" and she then in a loud voice yelled to the next cashier, we don't key in EBT cards do we? She said no. I was embarrassed and infuriated. I was spending almost 70 dollars and had some cash items to. She was very unprofessional. I work in a little country store in the middle of nowhere. We can key in the cards that won't slide, I've never worked nor shopped anywhere that could not do this. So needless to say my grandson got nothing and you have lost our business. I was so excited to see the changes but they are just to rude and also very slow always long lines.

She proceeded back on the telephone and said and i quote "This white [censor] is interrupting our call bae i am sorry about that." I have been a coming to this store for years and never have i been as disrespected as she has done to me. I request she be terminated immediately.

Dollar Tree unethical behavior

I was in the dollar tree store off park victoria ave.in milpitas, ca. Last week and I must of stood in line a good 20 mins.. It was very very busy and they only had one cashier working and trying to do the best she could since her store manager was not responding to any of her calls for back up.. She kept calling her to open another registar but no one ever answered her or came to help.. As I was getting closer to have my items rang up I could hear someone snoring very very loud.. Coming from the stores office.. I looked over at the cashier and said I take it that must b your manager who you have been calling for... She shrugged her shoulders and said i'm sorry maam for you having to wait in the long line.. I told her it wasn't her fault because she was doing the best she could while her so called back up was in a deep deep sleep... As I was talking to herguess who finally decided to come out of the office but only to be very very rude.. I asked her are you the store manager and her response was why? I said well first of all we were sorry to wake her from her nap and 2nd how did she not here the cashier calling for back up atleast 5 or 6 times on the overhead.. And her respone was i'm sorry but I was busy doin paperwork... Anyways I just flat out let her know that we all heard her very clear snoring and we knew she was lying.. So I asked her again if she was the store manager and she turned and walked away. Iasked her for the number to corporate and she said look it upyourself. I told her she was very rude because as we were talking her cell phone kept ringing constantly and twice she answered it only to tell the person on the other line that she would call them back because she was dealing with a old lady who was causing a scene.. I said excuse me but I am not an old lady causing a scene I just asked for corporates ph.#... She just ignored me and went back into the office.. I asked the cashier for the other womans name and she said tanya.. I asked if she was the store manager and she nodded her head and said yes... I told the cashier I was sorry if I caused a scene and she said no I didn't.. Oh yeah by the way the cashiers name was natalie... She handled the rush hour solo very good.. Always kept a smile on her face.. As for miss sleeping beauty, she is very rude and unprofessional and surely does not deserve store manager title... I have been shopping ther for a very long time but I honestly am gonna find another store to shop at.. You can thank your sleeping store manager for losing me as a customer...

Dollar Tree dollar tree belton, texas

On today, I attempted to purchase 3 glasses with congratulation saying for graduating students. Carmela scanned the items and they came up 0.01 instead of $1. She proceeded to tell me that I could not purchase them as she didn't have time to pull from the shelf. Please keep in mind there was a entire shelf of glasses. From understanding the law warrants a consumer to be able to purchase based on price scanned. I felt totally discriminated and would like a resolution for not receiving those glasses.

Dollar Tree kimberly furgson

About two weeks ago my Nephew and Nice were in there to get water and a few other thing's and the cashier Kimberly went from behind the counter and got in my Niece's and Nephews face screaming at them and telling them to get the [censor] out of the store. The shift manager that was on that night didn't do anything about it. Kimberly has it out for my family and is taken it to her work place. I find this kind of action unprofessional.

Sincerely,

Charles Smith

Dollar Tree unethical behavior

The incident took place on Tues, May 23, 2017 approximately 9:53 pm. I went to the door to go in to the store and the store door was locked. A male employee was about to vacuum and he looked to a female clerk standing near the register, Secilia, she looked up and said and gestered we are closed. I asked her how because it was not 10 pm. The male employee looked at his time and agreed with me and Secilia began to yell at him while walking towards the balloon area/office. Then Secilia looked up and yelled, "We are closed, I will call the Fxxxing police, I am ready to go home, we are closed". I am very upset and she needs to be fired for how treated the other employee as well as a customer. I will return all my items I had bought earlier.

Dollar Tree store changes

I live in a community with a lot of seniors. But we also have some kids that come in with their parents.
The Roseburg Or store has closed the bathrooms. And putting "Sorry for the Inconvenience" does not help.
We are loyal customers and this new development is way more than "inconvenient".

On average I have spent 100.00 a month in that store.

I will not be back.

Dollar Tree store manager rebecca

She gave away 2 12 roll packages of paper towels for $1.00 each to another employee . When myself and 2 other ladies asked if we could have a bundle she said oh no that was a promotional deal and we are out . I have never seen a deal like this at any store... This was actually theft and the cashier even questioned her and the other employee about the price. The manager told the cashier just to ring him out

Dollar Tree rude manager

I go to store #3528 located at 3925 Durand Ave Racine, Wi. The rude manager of the store Betty allows the lines to get very long with 1 cashier as she walks around and talks on the phone. She very loudly talks about she wants to leave and hates the job. Is very short with the customers and really has a uncomfortable vibe. She should not be in a position as such. On another occasion she was very rude to a co-worker I was em gassed for her. Her demeanor is always the same, rude! I'd hate for a person to lose their job, but she's doesn't deserve hers- unhappy customer😡

Dollar Tree I was refused service.

On 5/19/2017 I went into my local Dollar Tree in Gastonia, NC. I've been shopping at this store since its inception. I picked the items I intended to buy and proceeded to the register. I reached a register and asked the cashier if her line was open she looked toward the back of the store as if to see if she could ring the items up. Someone whom I could only see their eyes looked up and said "yeah she's closed." I responded who are you and proceeded to the line in the back of the store. I was conversing with the person whom accompanied me. The cashier attending the register said "excuse me" in a very rude manner, I responded "I wasn't talking to you". She went on to babble something under her breath. I continued to converse with the person who accompanied me to the store. Again, the cashier said' "excuse me" with a more intense tone and I replied "I'm not talking to you" she kept going with the rude talk so I responded again "I wasn't talking to you so you need to shut your mouth." This cashier told me to leave the store where I shop all the time and in front of about three customers told me to "leave her store" and she refused to ring up my order. The two other cashiers were outside smoking cigarettes by this time. As I was leaving I requested to speak to a general manager the cashier replied I'm the manager. I went on to say no your general manager she said he's not here. Finally I said is there a number I could call to make a complaint to the corporate office she replied "no." I put my items on the counter top and left the store. I went back in to get her name and she was on the phone with the so-called general manager, Jason. I got her name and left the store. My time is valuable and I don't appreciate wasting my time with a rude cashier. I would like this matter addressed immediately. The name of the cashier is Buffy Quinn, 2104 W. Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28052 and the store is store #6019. This incident occurred at or around 2:20pm on Friday, 5/19/2017.

Dollar Tree store number 1932

I visited your store (5723 Preston Hwy in Louisville, KY, one week ago. I called and left a message in a voice mailbox - but never got a reply.

The store I visited was THE single-most FILTHY store I have ever been in - period. Every single aisle and space was littered with trash. The carpet was disgustingly dirty. I am not an OCD fanatic - this store was simply remarkable for its lack of cleanliness. I cannot believe that anyone could ever let their work space (or home, or...anywhere, for that matter) get so dirty.

If I were the superior to the manager in charge, that manager would no longer be working there.

Dollar Tree employees of the dollar tree in delhi township: rhonda and eric

Yesterday on May 17, 2017: I went into the Dollar Tree to purchase 2 Bags of Cheese Doodles and 2 Brushes. When I went to the cashier line the cashier Eric reeked of alcohol. I could tell that he's been drinking, so much so, that Eric rung me up wrong. For the 2 Bags of cheese doodles, Eric the cashier rung me up for 1 Bag of cheese doodles, I paid the e.b.t. for the 2 bags of cheese doodles he rung me up for 3 hairbrushes and I only purchased 2, so Eric called his manager over her name is Rhonda because he realized that he rung me up wrong for 3 hairbrushes and I only purchased 2. Rhonda said that I had to pay $3.21 cents for the rest of the items. I said how? with the e.b.t. I should only be $2.00 for the 2 Bags of cheese doodles and I know that it's .07 cents on the dollar far as tax wise so I should on be paying $2.14 cents for 2 hair brushes and you are suppose to charge me $1.00 for the other bag of cheese doodles. Rhonda the manager yelled out we don't give change in food stamps trying to get a laughter reaction from the other customers then she said that I had a ### attitude which made me really angry. I said to her it's not my fault that your cashier rung me up wrong and she said you are right, I asked what the her supervisor name is she said Shawntae and she said Shawntae or Corporate will not do anything to her and maybe she's right I've been trying to get in touch with corporate since yesterday. I have not gotten a return call or none today. I drove from state to another that's how long I was on hold and never got to talk to a person at all this is so frustrating if someone could call me at [protected]. Thank-You.
