Dollar General perkinston, ms store on hwy 53

This store only has ONE person working inside at a time. I feel bad for the workers. They are forced to stock shelves and help customers. How is one person supposed to keep a store running throughout the day? How are they supposed to take lunch breaks or bathroom breaks? Not to mention, the shelves are almost always empty. I have no doubt in my mind that this is a scheduling/management issue.

Dollar General customer service

I went into store #10142 with my mother about 30 mins ago. It is now 2:45 p.m. My mom has severe back issues. They had 3 12 pack pepsi for $10. She got 3 and I got 3. When we got up there to pay, I took mine out but my mom lifted one up but kept the other 2 in the buggy bc she can't lift. When we went to get them outta the buggy, the top one had a small leak and it had got all over the other 2 packs. I took it to the door and told the lady at the register and she asked me did I drop it. I said no ma'am I did not. She said I have to go get my manager. So this white gray headed lady (same one that rang us up) comes and asks me did I drop it. I said No I didnt drop it. These came outta the buggy and we didnt know it was leaking until we picked it up & moved it around. She goes & gets 2 bags to put the other 2 in bc the boxes were wet. She said very rudely "I'm gonna exchange it this time, but there wasnt a leak when it was rang up." I said " How would you know if it was leaking bc you walked off the register and let the other girl take over bc you were too worried about getting out of here." I told here that the cases were not took outta the buggy so they werent moved much so maybe thats why it didnt show the leak until we moved it to get in the car. By this time her attitude and tone had done struck a nerve bc Im a manager myself. You dont make a customer feel like theyve done something wrong. You fix the problem. Instead of arguing with the customer, you try to fix the problem so its a good customer experience! Everytime Ive ever been in this store, someone is always rude in this store! Ive heard plenty of people talk about this store.
So I go in to do my refund and she tells me she's leaving that the black girl will do my refund (like I said she was ready to clock out) and the girl couldnt figure out how to refund the 3 for 10$ amount right. She proceeds to tell me she's cancelling the return and gonna ring up everyone else behind me when I had already waited for 4 people to get to that point! She rang 5 people up! I had to get ready for work. Them being rang up and me being rang up pissed me off! There time and where they needed to be was no more important then my time and where I needed to be! Is this how you train your management and workers bc they need more training! Im very, very unhappy and this is unacceptable! I would like a response and I would like to know what kind of actions will take place. But I will never go in this store again! I dont want to blast Dollar General bc I know you cant help what some of your workers do but I also know some of these workers dont do anymore then they have too to get paid. I trust this will be handled appropriately! If you need anymore info off my receipt please let me know. I am including my phone number and email too.

Dollar General signs and pricing

I went to the DG in Zebulon, GA. They had a bunch of stuff on the sidewalk. Some signs were 20% off and some were 90% off. I got about 15 items from the area that was 90% off. As I entered the store, I asked the store associate if the items were 20% or 90% off. She did not know. I told her we would see when I checked out. I did my shopping (a buggy full). I go check out. I ask the associate again. She then asked the manager that was walking away from the area. She replied 20%. I had put the items on the counter. I told the associate I did not want the items. But, she started to ring the items up. There was a line behind me and they were getting mad at me. I then said again that I didn't want the items. Then she had to go get the manager to reverse the charges. All this time the associate and then the manager got rude with ME! What the heck did I do wrong? I was not thanked for my $60 purchase. I then went outside and took a picture of the sign and took it inside and handed it to them. When I got home I also noticed that 3 of the items that I bought were also priced wrong. I was over charged for those 3 items. I will not return to that DG. I will be watching my receipts when I shop at any DG. If this is a trend or regular practice, I will boycot all DGs! Not that it will hurt your business, but, I will feel better!

Dollar General hostile work environment

The manager lissette is spreading rumors that lies about how I was in the bar getting drunk while being pregnant to other associates and customers. I can get statement from those people, she also accused me of stealing five dollars from the literacy fun and I have proof that I donated it. She also called me in to sign a write up and didn't allow me to clock in also she added stuff to the write up after I signed it. I felt like I was in a hostile work environment and felt like she was out to get me. I had been there since the store first opened and had only one write up with the old manager but ever since lissette came along she's done anything she could to get me fired and now all she does is talk to customers about me

Dollar General district managers

I have a friend who works for your fine company. Who is a VERY HARD WORKER and DEDICATED EMPLOYEE who has done far more than he has been given credit for. He has been a ASM for over a year an a half. I just learned that within a month he was demoted and no is being transferred to another store due to the DM racist an homophobic bully. Please respond to this I would like some questions answered and would like to know how your company employs such a bigot. Ive heard he has talked a Store Manager who is of the African American race all about the KKK and how he bullies women Managers. Please respond to this an I will give as much information as I possibly can. This is unacceptable and I do not believe he should be in the postion he is in.

Dollar General sale on merchandise

Went to DG to get a few thing. Grab me a sales paper and notice there is a sale on appeal, it the blue dots, green stars, red triangle buy 1 get 1 50% off.
Had two pair of Union sweat pants and two msu, they all 4 was blue dot. The signs in the store, nor does it state in the sales paper that them items are excluded. I even double checked to make sure. Get to register to get cashed out, and was informed that them items doesn't count. Why wouldn't they be part of the sale if the paper, signs (all through the store) does not state that they are not. If you have a sale going on that states blue dots and etc... you need to uphold it and not say NO on items that is not stated in paper, or on the signs! Ridiculous.

Did you ask them where it said they were not included? In my local Dollar General ad the outside pages do say that exclusions apply, which would most likely include all sales shown. Typically stores will mark items that are included in the sale, and not items that are not.

Dollar General cashier

I shop at dollar general every week, probably for the past 7 years.
Normally I do not complain about service because everyone has there bad days, but after several trips to the store and being treated rude I have decided to let the company know I will no longer be shopping at Dollar General.
Today I was in the store, handed my items to the cashier who was talking to another employee. I said hi and asked them how they were doing and they both ignored me. They were speaking to each other about another employee. They were talking about how they complained to the manager that this employee wasnt doing their job. I feel as if this conversation is inappropriate to be talking about this in front of a customer, but it seems like every time I go in to shop the employee are complaining about other employees and their job.
The cashier took my money and as I left I told the cashier thank you and she again ignored me as if I wasnt even there, again they went back to their conversation. I have had this happen several times.
I own my own business, and I know that sometimes customers like to complain over petty things, but I am not one of those people. I feel it is rude not to even look at a customer who is spending money with you, and going out of their way to be nice.
I would never ignore a customer of mine so I do not appreciate it being done to me on a regular basis.
I do not wish to get anyone in trouble, however I think someone needs to address this issue and find out why it is the employees are acting this way.
I hate getting customer complaints myself so I am sorry to write this.

Dollar General dollar general manager & employee

I was checking out at the dollar store when out of nowhere the very rude & unprofessional manager (Margarite), began to raise her voice at me telling me I wasn't allowed back in the store because she said one of the employees told her that I asked her if I could get an item for free. (Which is a bald face lie) however, as she was telling me all of this in an extremely rude manner her voice grew louder & louder. There were several other customers behind me in line the whole time witnessing this woman verbally attack me, which is the epitome of the word embarassing. As I remained calm, waiting for her to finish hollering at me, I politely told her that all of this heresay was an extreme genuinely false allegation & that I would never ever have the guts to do anything remotely close to what I was being accused of. I also told her that whichever employee told her these things were evidently untrustworthy people & that she did not need to believe what she was told. As I was trying defend myself while remaining very calm & speaking very respectively the whole time, but she never once ceased to calm down & even try to listen to me. I even asked her if she could please lower her voice because she was humiliating me & her exact response (& I quote) was "this is my store & I will say, do & talk how I want, when I want anytime I please!" at that point I said "ma'am, even though I have done nothing wrong at all here, I apologize for all the turmoil & confusion, but I would like to ask you if you would kindly allow me to continue to shop here in the future". Her exact response was "lady if you don't leave now, i'm going to call the cops" I nicely said "yes ma'am, I will leave, but you must understand that I am being punished for doing absolutely nothing wrong" & she said "I do not care, now get out" as she pointed her finger towards the doors, so obviously I began to make my way out of the store. During this time another employee walked up & stood by the manager & told me to keep walking & if I stopped walking out, she was about to call the the police if I didn't leave the premises within 10 seconds. Although that entire time I was proceeding to exit the building. I have never once been so humiliated in my whole 26 years of life as I was during those few minutes.

Dollar General rude customer service

While shopping at the Dollar General store tonight in Brazil, Indiana store #15732 I stood at the register to check out for I counted 5-8 minutes. I could not find one cashier or store worker. I almost left my items and walked out. When a lady came up to the register with an unpleasant look on her face. I simply and kindly asked " do you work here." She went on to say: " Yes, I work here you know I don't just stand at this cash register all day as some suppose. I do other things too." I just looked down and payed what I owed and left. I was very disappointed with her attitude and reaction to me. I have worked in retail for years.. and that behavior would never be tolerated. I would hope this gets addresses and her bad attitude is dealt with. Thank you for your time.

Dollar General customer service

Stephenville dollar general has an employee who's name is cantina. She is rude disrespectful an obnoxious. I do not want to go back to this store until she is not there. She is this way to everyone. What a way to treat your loyal customers. I'm positive there has been other complaints. Why is there someone like that in a managers position if what they teach their recruits they can't even show to their customers also.

Dollar General store cleanliness

This store is horrible! You could never get down the aisles to get what you need because there's always stuff in the way. I have to take my child out of the buggy my purse out of the buggy and carry my service dog down at all just to pick up one thing because it's always so junky! The store manager is so rude she cusses in front customers about employees and today when she checked me out she was on an earpiece talking to somebody about getting 5T clothes. That is rude and not professional at all! And they have the fire exit blocked.

This is not the worst part she also interfered with my parenting. When my child dropped something from the shelf I slapped her across the face and fourtimes. She followed me outside the store and I asked her what she was doing as I had not stolen anything. She accused me of abusing my child and said she was going to take my license plate number and contact CPS.

this is the second time i have gone there and he has said very rudely that they dont like to take printed out coupons although i got them on dg web site. the first time he wasnt going to take it then another employee stepped in and said we do take them today someone else was ringing me up today and i wouldnt take one of them and she called him over he put i t in then said to her dont ever mess with their money its ok for them to steal from us with their fake coupons but we cant say anything about it. i know you will do anything to him but he is arude little smart butt i will never shop at another dg as long as i live i use to enjoy shopping npw because of people like him i do most online
but it wont be with dg

Dollar General toy flyer

I went on line to find there was a special toy flyer to look at. I am the chairman of the Highspire Community Events Comm. We do a tree lighting in town followed by a visit with Santa and we supply a toy, or game of some sort for all the children who come from ages 1 to 12. I tried to copy this flyer and could not. Stopped by our local store they do not have access to this either. I wanted to get this so I could get these toys approved by the comm. If there is anyway I can get my hands on this flyer, it would be appreciated. My address is 114 Roop Street, Highspire, email is [protected]@yahoo.com or phone is [protected]. I understand that people are buying more on line but in the case of ours we need to physically see the flyer for approval. My store is on 2nd street in Highspire, Pa. Dollar General wrong price

I went to store 009 98 at 18o6 on 1026 2017 I purchase two six packs of Busch Light 6-pack 16 oz product number 0 +[protected] the Shelf where the product was located clearly labeled the price as $5.20 when it rang up it was $6.95 I pointed out the discrepancy to the clerk she tried to override the system to give me the product it what it was labeled for it and she said she could not do it it would not let her I am highly dissatisfied

Dollar General service complaint dg of gustine ca 95322

Poor customer service lot of employees walking around usually 1 cashier
at times 2 huge lines and its frustrating because its only store in town
and if you have a $100 bill you cant buy nothing theres never change they
have signs posted saying you pay with a $100 bill u will not get change
I know neighbors and myself have called different phone numbers for
Dollar general and complaint and nothing has gotten done and I personally
know one of employees she was in tears from all the complaints she gets and she says the manager snaps at them when they give her a complaint,
that store has more potential the powers for better numbers a lot of people walk out because they never have change or cant buy ice cream
because of the slow service the people don't care they are just there to collect a check theres a couple of them that do tell us to keep complaining.
So please do something about it better for everybody.

Dollar General store not opening on time

I go just about every morning to this Dollar General on my way to work. The store is supposed to open at 8:00 and I have to be at work at 8:30. I run in about every morning to get snacks, drinks, and something to warm up for my lunch at work. There have been several days they open 5 or minutes so late... This morning I got there a little after 8:00. There was already another person outside waiting and she had tried to call the store and everything and no one would answer. All the lights were on inside... Finally at 8:15 I had to just leave because I had to be at work. The other lady was still waiting and I have no idea what time someone finally opened the store. But I wasn't able to get my lunch or anything for work because I had no time to stop anywhere else. It has happened several times but it was only a few minutes late opening. There is a Fred's down the road I don't like to stop at as much but I may have to start because there is no guarantee this store will be open when they are supposed to be.

Dollar General cashier at checkout.

On 10/25/2017 I was in my usual store #17131 purchasing work items for my business and my children . I'm in this store at least 4 or 5 times a week, some times every day.
On numerous occasions lately a young black female who just got promoted, has been very rude and even to the point of telling me tonight "That she would not ring me up again because their was an issue retrieving her coupons the first time she rang her up."
I havent ever had a problem with any other employee or my on line coupons at any point.
This woman was so rude tonight I won't shop that store any more, not only tonight's rudeness but her bad attitude every time myself or my associates visited that store .
I just felt before you lost other good clients I would make you aware of the situation. I've also included my receipt that she rang and said our discounts were on there and weren't.

Dollar General employee at register, rude

I place a product on the counter. The product had a $2 off coupon attached. When she scanned it she said computer doesn't match to product. I asked her to get her manager and manager said same. I said " coupon was attached and is not expired I dont understand." Manager again said I can't over-ride it sorry. I told the young lady to delete the product that I did not want it a full price. She proceded to add up my other items. As she bagged the last item I saw my total, so I put a $20 bill on the counter. She took it and got my change $3.69 and the receipt and shoved all of on the counter all spread apart toward me. Did not say thank you. She Acted mad. I told her that I was sure she was trained to hand the change and receipt to the customer and say thank you. She popped off saying " well you put your money down on counter". I said "Brittany you should never speak to a customer that way". She looked away and began checking out next customer, as I picked up my loose change one coin at a time. Brittany needs further training. She is young.

Dollar General lady manager

She is not helpful what so ever and very rude, especially to me. I will take my business to Family Dollar across the street from now on . Twice she has been extremely rude to me . Last week there was a sign up for Clearance on all summer yard products except on planter barrels and it named them all . The items were all grouped together in the last two rows of shelves on an aisle. What I brought up was not on the exception list but rang up full price . She was called to the front and was showed and just grabbed the item and said these are never clearanced and started back when I said well there are more back there you might want to move them cause they are not on the list as exception when she smarted off I will just take down the damn sign . Today my card was not being accepted by the register saying invalid # . The gentleman checking me out was very nice she was called up again and she told me it wasn't her problem something is wrong with my card with a line of people behind me. Embarrassing! Had to leave my stuff behind . Went next door and used my card just fine. Come out and she's smoking, I let her know nothing wrong with my card I just used it, she said not her problem and proceeded back in mumbling under her breath something about my smart mouth. She is the one with the smart mouth.

Dollar General employee

I go to DG several times a week and every time i go the employee's are on their cell phone. They hold it up to their ear or they will have ear buds in and be talking. The conversations are usually about other employee's that maybe closed the night before or something and i have heard them saying inappropriate things and words. It is just very rude and not business like at all
