Dollar General store display or appearance

Please remove some of those items that somewhat Block the entrance of the store. There are several Soda Displays and other things that has cluttered the entrance of the store. I think there is a Clearance table of items that is no longer accessible because of the other displays (Chips Display, etc...) This store has become very cluttered and looks in disarray. I am writing you because I actually drive the extra miles to specifically shop in THIS Dollar General because the Dollar General store on Six Flags Drive in Austell, Georgia is always junkie and the lines are always long and the customer service was less than desirable. The shelves were either not stocked or just out of order so I preferred to travel to the Lithia Springs location to shop. I am a frequent Dollar General Shopper but after today, I may simply start going to Kroger instead. I have written really great reviews for the Lithia Springs store and other store in other states in the past because of the friendly service and the cleanliness of the stores. Usually, this store is not cluttered and it usually FEELS good to spend my money in a friendly environment; however, this store no longer appears inviting and I have to let you know. I have lived in this community for more than 25 years and I really want a place to shop in peace...in a place that is clean and inviting. I am asking that you Please restore what I call MY Dollar General back to its nice and clean and spacious store that me and my family are accustomed to. Thank you.

Dollar General service...

Any store that does not have a restroom available for their customers does not need customers. Just a few minutes ago I was attempting to do some shopping at your store in Goose Creek, SC on Goose Creek BLVD. I had an emency bathroom need that hit me and I was denied access to the restroom. I had to hurridly leave the store, leaving my intended purchasing and rest of planned shopping, I will not be going back.

Dollar General return without receipt, only had item 2 weeks

We went into the Dollar General store in our local area this past Saturday 22nd. We had purchased a single electric burner a couple of weeks ago and even though I tore the house upside down, I couldn't find the receipt. My husband said, most stores will give you store credit without a receipt and wasn't worried about it too much.
The store we went to, after standing and waiting on a manager for about ten minutes wouldn't even fool with it. There was no store credit, nothing. She just said, well we don't like to do returns without a receipt. I said, okay does that mean you will still do it? No. They would not do this. It is a electric burner that costs 10 dollars. This is not some high priced luxury item here.
The burner doesn't work. It won't even boil water. Well, it will if you leave it on about 45 minutes. This is ridiculous and it doesn't cook noodles right either. It takes so long to get hot, that the noodles get mushy and they are just nasty to eat. We wound up buying a better one from Amazon.
I took it to the Dollar General store that is closest to our home, different one and they said well we can give you another one. I said, I don't need another one. I have bought one from Amazon. I want store credit. I would have even taken 10 dollars from something in that department at this point.
This store I couldn't even get the manager to come up and talk to me. He was too busy stocking shelves.
This is ridiculous. I have returned items to the Dollar General without a receipt before. A pair of headphones and a pair of earbuds. They never give me one problem on those items. I don't know what crawled up inside of them this time but I have an electric burner that doesn't work at all that I can't get the store to do anything about. The company told me to take it back to the store that they should have some type of return.

Your return policy of 30 days is a joke. Just gives your lazy employees a reason not to do any work. I definitely won't be back to ANY of your stores.

If the policy states that you need a receipt for returning an item, then the store has every right to refuse you. Frankly, the manager who offered a new burner was being generous.

No returns without receipt. If you kept the receipt you could've got your money back. You could also get another one. Store rules apply to you, too.

Dollar General advertised savings & coupons

I went in the dollar general on 7-26-17 to buy my house hold needs as I do every week. To my amazement when I picked up my 6 rolls pack of essential paper towels, The sign below it read; Get 5.00 coupon when you buy any 6 roll of essential or bounty paper towels. I went on and got some more items. Went to check out and used my debit card I got 48.00 and some change worth. The cashier couldn't give me a receipt cause she didn't have any receipt paper for the cash register. she had to go back and look to see how much I spent so I could write it down in my register, to keep up with my balance. And of course I didn't get my 5.00 coupon on the paper towels. I think it is a shame that with the money dollar general brings in the workers don't have what they need to get things done properly. And I feel with the money I spend in the store, I should have got that little bit of savings. And every time they have a sale on soda's, when I go to pick up some they always seem to be out. they tell me the same thing every time, the truck will be here tommorow.I check back, but the sale is over before the truck can return. So you tell me ; what's the problem with some thing so simple? people don't want to be treated this way! THAT'S BAD FOR BUINESS!

Dollar General all hostess products

No stocking of Hostess products at the Dollar General on N. Wheeling Ave. in Muncie Indiana for probably 6weeks or more. We buy Ding Dongs and Snowballs there. What's the problem? We shop there all the time as it is just across the street and we bought all the products listed above a long time ago. If you're needing a good person to keep store displays stocked, my husband does this kind of work and needs a job

Dollar General service

I was in store 09868 and cashier name amy was rude talk bout other employees one was about assitant manager who was working. N was working hard ever time i come in . she always jump on the registor because amy is talking to customers personal and saying how that manager is being fired because she doesnt work or do her job. I done dealing with her she rude and never helps complains and she stands around alot. I shouldnt have to wait in line ivet 10 minutes and i do because amy is talking n slow. And hearing she being promoted for what? Her [ok( services sucks and she does nothing. And if she does and you lose that assist manager because of this i let people to know how stupid your company is. I lov e goung in there when the assist manager it fun and quicklines.

Dollar General paypal refills

I have been to 10 different Dollar General stores from Lafayette Louisiana, Crowley Louisiana, and Rayne Louisiana. None of these stores had a single employee who knew how to put money on a PayPal card and when asked they all had excuses ranging from the machines were down to they didn't know they refill these kinds of cards, one even told me I had to rebuy a card in order to do it . Not to mention how rude they all were even the managers Rayne Louisiana store being the absolute worst. I was treated like I was an idiot in front of the rest of the customers this manager even raised her voice when she spoke to me as if I were a child . With that being said I know for a fact that Dollar General do allow you to put money on the PayPal cards, you're one of the very few places who do this .So I would like to make a suggestion maybe at one of your next meetings you can address this issue and make sure each and every employee is trained to do this sort of transaction . I would like to also suggest that they be retrained in customer courtesy because there is a lot of other competition out there and the dollar general stores could lose a lot of business because of its employees and managers attitudes towards the customers, because as we all should know customer satisfaction comes first when running a business that deals with the public .

Dollar General customer service and coupon policy

About 2 days ago we went to a neighboring town to get some "good" deals at this store. We had coupons we where planning to use with some of the in store promotions they had for the new week. We where unsure about the use of a digital coupon with a manufacturer coupon so we asked the cashier and he confirmed we could use it together. We looked for the items and made sure the manufacturer coupon applied to the item and made our way to the pay. We where going to do a store promotion of buying 8 dollars of a certain item and receiving a 3 dollar discount and using the coupons. Well he scanned every coupon after every item, wich would make it impossible to ever have an 8 dollar total. I know that was incorrect and asked him to do coupons last like any other time or store i use them and he refused saying I didn't know how to use coupons. Wich not only is untrue it's unprofessional to speak to someone like that. Being a cashier myself I know what it takes to satisfy the customer without breaking any rules.. and our intent was not to break the rules but to save money, he would have had to apply the deal if i didnt have any coupons. But he refused. Another employee that had checked me out in the past and knew I used coupons before and we didn't have any problems in the past walked over he told her the issue and she said she didn't know anything to tell me to leave. Instead of trying to solve a sale..or a situation they didn't care. What is the point of using a coupon then if you are paying full price for an item, you can even use a coupon on a clearance item much more in this scenario. You do get re-emberrsed for the coupon and every employee has their own coupon policy on what they will take or not. The digital coupon sometimes works and other times excludes certain items in some stores . Everything is a disaster and an unorganized operation not one person has the same answer or information and I can not imagine a business is ran in that fashion. I look forward to your deals but not with this much inconsistency and bad customer service. I drive 20 minutes to get to my nearest store for this. No thanks. I am sure this will be ignored just one more complaint to the big stack you guys have on going.

Dollar General air conditioning

Store Number: 12886
Myself along with other people say we won't return until the A/C is fixed. It has been out since late May and the temporary A/C units do absolutely nothing. My candy bars are melting in my cart! I get so overheated I feel sick and I watched as the poor employees there suffer through it! One of them nearly passed out! While several others got physically sick! This is ridiculous and is costing the company my business and several other people as well!

Dollar General store coupons

I always use the 3 dollars off coupons on the visits .. and the young lady refused to take it
Because her excuse was that ppl were screenshoting the coupon .. but I was downloading mine in front of her not screenshotting .. she refused to take it that's some bull. . If they aren't gonna take them. .
Then why are u all still putting them on the reg.paper

Dollar General manager being rude to customer

I went to this dg on on w Huntsville Ave Springdale Ar friday 07/21..I was gonna used my coupons and theres this guy manager looking at my stuff n scan 3 of em gain detergents..the coupon says $5off3 gain fling, detergents liquid or powder..n he look at the first word fling n says this is for flings only n I point out what the other part says n he's like let's see if it scan n then he scan 4 of my kotex n I gave em 4 kotex coupons n he red only the first part where it says 1 coupon per purchase..n I told him it's says 1 purschase per item 1 coupon per item n he's like no y'all need to learn how to read coupons before y'all do couponing cus y'all been cracking the system up..excuse me who's y'all it was just me ..he wouldn't look at it so we started argued when he says y'all n I told him I'll call the cooperate on him n he says he's been hearing alot from cooperate lately..I told him he don't own the store ..I've been couponing for years n I know what my coupon stated..n there's no coupon that says only one it's always stated 2 identical or 4 ..now how does the $3off$15 work cus they say they won't accept phone coupon whaat

Dollar General #8356 unlawful and violating behavior

About an hour ago I went to Dollar General with my three children. My oldest son is 17, my middle son 14, and my daughter who is 11 years old. I go to this store very regularly, its right down the road from where I live so it is very convenient and I have never had a problem when I went there until today. First of all, as I was walking around shopping for about 20-30 minutes, I turned down the "dollar Isle" and every single time I looked up there was an employee standing there staring at me. I thought nothing of it, as I love to see all the neat stuff they have and bargain shop. Well after about the tenth time I am being stared at I asked the woman if everything was ok... And she says to me that she was wondering if I needed any help. But she said it very sarcastically and rude, so I said no, if I needed help than I would ask someone, but thanks. At this time I'm starting to feel uncomfortable because I'm feeling like she is harrassing me for no reason, or trying to make me look like some type of thief of outcast in some type of way. Well I had 2 more things to get on my list and I said out loud to my kids I would like to hurry up and get out of here. This woman is getting on my nerves the way she is just rudely standing there staring at me, not doing anything that could be considered in any way her job. Well my daughter had been saying to me that she needed to go to the restroom. So I told her to go ahead and go, and I told my 14 year old son to go with her. Out of safety I always make my children go in pairs. So I hear them ask the woman at the register for the key, and I go on continuing to shop and get the last thing that is on my list. The next thing I know I hear the woman thats following me around say very loudly, empty your pockets! You cant eat in here like that! And then I hear my son's voice! This woman and another employee with her had cornered my minor, 14 year old son as he was coming out of the bathroom and told him to empty his pockets like they were the police! I could not even believe what was happening! And when I asked them what the hell they were doing they then had the balls to incinuate that I was neglegent! Bottom line- they violated me and my son in several different ways. And I'm just going to put it this way, if I cannot find a way to speak to someone about this, and these women do not lose their jobs for the unlawful and horribly unethical and immoral way they treated my MINOR SON, than I WILL be filing a lawsuit against the Dollar General and very soon.

Dollar General led light bulbs from globe

I represent an energy efficiency lighting program. At your Corruna michigan store, the store manager Heather Gomez refused to place the energy efficient bulbs on the sales floor. The bulbs are currently in the back room but she refused to put them out or allow me to until after a floor cleanung next week. Heather was very rude to me and this is a very good program with discount funding provided by Consumers Energy that makes a 2pk only $1. This is a very good program worked out between CE and dollar general and is done to encourage energy efficiency but it does not work with the led bulbs off the sales floor.

Dollar General dial soap 6 pk $2.00

Hello my name is Shanda Bass I went to the Dollar General 3150 Northside Dr Jackson Ms 39213 on Saturday July 22. The soap was on sale I had coupons $3/2 my daughter and I went got the soap tried to check out was told by the cashier they couldn't take any coupons for the Dial Soap I was like that's not right the product is here and I have coupons she said she was told by her manager not to accept any coupons. I feel that was totally wrong that I couldn't purchase with my coupons I am an honest person that goes to dollar general at least 3 or 4 times a week never had this happen before I understand some couponers have done things they weren't suppose to with coupons but all your honest loyal customers shouldn't have to pay for someone else mistake I left the store without purchasing anything I just said thank you and left wasn't rude or disrespectful she said she was only following the instructions she was given by her manager and also said that's why it was soap on the shelves because they're not taking any coupons for it your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated thank you

Dollar General cashier jessica seanz

I went in personally to the Dollar General located in Zapata Texas on Hwy 16, I was very disappointed on the service given by the employees. It is rude and unpofessional that a cashier as she is working she is texting on her phone at the same time. She didn't throughout 5 separate transactions since there was a line of customers waiting to be charged.

Dollar General heavy duty batteries double aa

Bought from dollar general bout a week ago its licking battery acid and it ruined my controller for my game and knw my son can't play it no one here is happy with this and expect for it to be fixed and do what a company should do there not cheap think that you should have to replace it never had a prob til knw hoping u make it right one very unhappy customer will not shop there again

Dollar General the store itself and employees/ manager

We were in area checking out COE camping sites and went into Dollar General in Aliceville, Al. I know it is the only one there, the town is very small. My compaint should be with the manager over the store. I was shocked to see 2 employees at checkout talking and one eating chips from bag @ checkout. One other was sitting in chair to left of door entrance. My point being, the isles were full of products on the floor areas thrown down, not picked up, thrash on floor needed sweeping up, products in carts and thrown in plastic containers, needing to be placed somewhere, pushed against shelves, MANY products on shelves laying DOWN, NOT ARRAINGED on shelf. The manager is not having the employees do their job and keep store up to expectations of Dollar General. Very disappointed in this store! Needs new management apparently.

Dollar General staff treating other staff terrible

When I was at the dollar general at franklin Texas 77856, I saw there was an assistant manager treating other assistant managers like trash. Her name is Patricia, the ones she treats bad is lane and Brandi, and some of the other workers. I don't know there names, but she doesn't care what she says to anyone. I am highly disappointed in what that store has done to others. Please fix the problem and make everything better. This is annoying and disappointing on what a company can't do. Have this fixed!

Dollar General checking out

So I work with individuals with special needs and doing so requires me to take them shopping for whatever their house needs or what they need. So we visited the closest Dollar General that they live by which is store #15692 after getting things we needed we went to the registers and started checking out..we had two separate purchases that needed to be made. The woman in the middle of the first transaction hollered at another worker told her she needed to get, on register cause it was almost her break time...so I pay for the first transaction and start to put my 2nd transaction on the counter and she informs us that we have to go to the other register cause shes on break... Needless to say we waited in line with a bugy that had already been paid for, so we could do our 2nd transaction of 4 items so she could go out and smoke...I think this was very unprofessional and, I, will never go back to this store or take any of, my special needs participants either!

Dollar General store manager

In the store in mcleansville Nc the line at register 2 was around the health and beauty isle. The store manager Sheryl walks past the line not tona register but into the back office. She turns comes out with her personal things in her hand to leave the store not assisting the cashier. She then goes outside comes back in and goes and gets the key holder to take debit or credit on register 1.
