Dollar General staff including manager did not want to give me the $5.

the store on mendon rd refuse to give me the five dollar for saturday over $25 dollars I had to go and get all the stuff so they can deleted and rering again making people wait and making me change registers. only cuz I couldn't find my coupon in my wallet and had to go get it. I gave them the two slips but it was not enough I had to go with my kids embarrass and get the groceries. that's not fair to treat us that way cuz they''re tired. the two slips should've been enough why delete all Items and ring them again I ask the manager and she said it was your Policy. that was a crazy thing when everybody heard that they were mad. the mendon rd store in woonsocket may need to get a day of rest since they look overtired. Rhode Island 02895.
Thank You and hope you correct this policy is different from all other store I am going to Family Dollar they even say hello when I go in. november 25 2017.

Dollar General service

I have worked for Dollar Gerenal for 5 years the first day I stepped into their place of employment didn't have a clue what I was doing. I was put on totes and at that time didn't no should I run or stay. Why, because it was so overwhelmed. I wasn't explain how to do anything. But, at the same time I was happy because I knew i had a job. Coming from csm to a assistant manager from Dollar General market back to Dollar General I work hard driving 45 mins to an hour I love my job. Sometimes open to close. Didn't know I was about to lose my family have 3 kids didn't even see them. Coming home when they were sleep and leaving before they got up my daughter couldn't get involved in activities because I was to focus on my job. They would call when are coming home my respond was I'm coming but wouldn't never make it. But, I realize I have people that love me at home. but, I'm here so I stopped and realize if I get sick or any anything would happen they wouldn't care. Because I seen and heard things that wasn't right. So, I started working the hours that I needed to work then go home. finally, got married. My employees knew I wasn't focus on the store money start missing store started to get cluttered up. But at the same time I was tired but did anyone care dollar General dm' s didn't care as long as you worked so their stores look good. Yes, paperwork wasn't right but I had other managers that knew what had to be done. But it's all on the store managers. As soon as weekly paperwork came out yes I followed all procedures I reviewed cctv I ask for help but what did TINFFANY tell me you are the manager how could I do anything without help but I was told I already had a team it was my fault I hired those people that I had. If I knew that I had someone behind me to get my store back in good standard I would have let everyone go. Oh, the one you interview you let her stay and she was the one taking totes on stuff out the front door. But i didnt know a thing becuase i was in the dark just like you were. Because I was the manager. you let me go thinking that I was the problem I didn't want nothing from dollar General but making that store a better store. L.p. comes in didn't help thinking they help the problem didn't do nothing because you still got the wrong person. That young lady just put everything on herself. ( Lee know what im talking about)Do you think they would have told me anything think for a minute I was the manager. But, now they can. The only thing tiffany was trying to do is be friends. Talking behind every last store manager one back. oh, I have a story to tell about that. What about the [censor]es that we were. I ask for help they came when they wanted to come. Now, I don't have a job unemployment was denied but when I ask why I'm losing my job it wasn't nothing to explain just call the 1-800 number. But, I'm not finish yet this is just the beginning because I'm not just stopped here I'm going live. They want you to work hard 80 hours or more but on your check you are only getting pay for 45 hours. They don't care.

Dollar General the dollar general sign

Dollar General has a store sign that's broken up and hanging above where the entrance and exit doors are located. This has been the situation for months now. It seems to be a lack of urgency for something that looks unattractive as well as dangerous for the customers and your employees in my community. Please attention it. Thank you

Dollar General employee

I just visited Dollar General Store #1752 in Fort Worth, Texas and I have never been as insulted and offended in all my life! Upon entering with my children in tow, I wasn't not greeted as per the norm in any retail setting, instead I was TOLD, not asked to leave my bag with my personal belongings at the front! Not only did your employee insult me in front of my children, but in front of a full store as well! I have never known there to be such a "policy" and do not appreciate being stereotyped! I will NOT spend my hard earned money where I am insulted and not given the same courtesy as several other patrons who had bags as well! I will be contacting the Corporate Office and sharing my experience on every review board I come across! This company has forever lost a customer in me and I will definitely NOT recommend ANY of my friends/family patronize this business!

Dollar General unethical behavior

i was at the dollar general in shelbyville ky. 11-22-17 picking up some two liters and bread for thanksgiving. i was back getting the drinks when i hear a woman yelling at the top of her lungs, "i am not waiting on you", "go over there i will not check you out". she screamed this around 5 times. everything went quiet and i peaked around the aisle to make sure it was ok to go up to check out. everything looked ok so i did. i get to the register and she looked toward a man exiting the store and told him " have a real good one hear". and this man gave her a very foul look and left. as i was finishing the check out process, i told the girl that in these days and times you should not try to instigate things with people. the people in las vegas were only at a concert and got shot, can you imagine what a face to face encounter could attract.. i was so scared i even cried when i got to the car and home. this was terrible behavior and i'm thinking of talking to a lawyer to see what i can do for her putting my life in danger

The store Manager at the Bristol, FL store (Marsha) is the same way. Rudest & most unprofessional person i have ever seen. her hygiene is terrible & smells like dog crap every day. She talks to her employees like they are dogs, hollers at them & barks orders at them while she sits on her big behind in the office. She talks about employees to each other & if you quit or get fired, she will freely discuss your business with any employee or customer that comes in that store. something really needs to be done about her.

Your comment sounds like you may know this manager more personally than just as a customer. If you were or are an employee, you could try bringing the issue to the corporate office or a human resources representative.

Your complaint is very hard to read due to your grammar and spelling. If this individual mistreats her employees then it is their duty to contact upper management or human resources.

Dollar General cashier

We need to make a last-minute purchase for Thanksgiving and was in line in front of two white anglo women who were being very nicely greeted by the cashier, when it came to my turn she didn't even asked me if she could help me she rang me up got me out of the way as quick as she could. I don't appreciate racism just because I'm Hispanic I shouldn't be stereotyped as a Mexican that was exactly at 10:20 this morning to 1040 and it is Thanksgiving day.

Dollar General awful

Why sell items that are not in stock?
it's not a secret that Dollar General is very popular in the United States. Many people tried them. And most of them had problems. Different ones.
One of the most popular issues is unavailable items. Unfortunately, I had to deal with this. It irritates when you choose what you want, then you pay for this, and a little bit later they tell you that the items are out of stock, sorry, wait for them to arrive one day... and then you have to open disputes and ask for your money like an idiot.
I did it twice and want no more. Enough.

Dollar General items left behind

Good afternoon! I went into your Dollar General store #15652 and some of the items I paid for were left behind. My husband called the store to check to see if 3 of the items we didn't have mistakenly were left behind. Per the lady we talked to no bags where left and there was nothing she could do about it. I called back to let them know that it was a few hours back so maybe someone had put them back on the shelve but we didn't have the items. Her response was I can't make a bag appear out of thin air. I then ask to speak to a manager and she stated she was the manager on duty. Well I let her know that I didn't think that was a way to talk to her customers. She then said she would review the tapes and called me back. She stated we grabbed all the bag which I know we did but I do believe our items were left in the rack down below where she bagged them. She never once stated sorry that happened or offer to help out with anything. I understand that some people may call and say items were left behind but I am not that person. I think for a manager she should have been a little bit nicer the way she handled the situation.

Dollar General store in general

The Dollar General store in Fincastle VA is in serious need of someone who cares about retail. The store is a constant mess. I only go to this Dollar General if I have to. There is a Family Dollar in the next town over that I will go to. It is much, much cleaner and the staff much more friendly.

The store in Finacaslte constantly has carts full of merchandise that needs to be shelved. They have so much crammed into this small store, that merchandise is falling off the shelves and on the floor. Today I went there and there were do many carts with boxes on them, they were pushed up against the shelves and you could not see anything. It truly is a dumpy store. When I go there I try to get in and out as fast as I can because I feel like something is going to fall on me at any moment.

Would someone please come and take a look at this store? It is need of help. Most of the time they only have one register open and when there is a long line, no one comes to open the 2nd register.

Dollar General the manager at rosiclare il branch needs fired

PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THIS AND ADDRESS THIS DEVASTATING PROBLEM YOU HAVE IN THE ROSICLARE IL BRANCH, , , , , , , , , , I have a complaint on the manager at DGS in rosiclare il. His name is Willy and he needs to be fired . in mid August he stopped my lady as she was checking out and accused her of stealing 3 dollar fingernails. Very unprofessional . He didn't take her to the back of the store and be a professional and investigate the situation, no he belittled, humiliated and embarrassed her to the point to where she was crying right there in front of the whole store. He is not a cop but he acted like one by detaining her an demanding to search her purse. Would not let her leave until his demands were meant . She presented the manager Willy proof by reciept and he was so sure she stole them he wouldnt even look at it . . still embarrassing her in front of the whole store and the people in it . He laughed and smerked and was full of confidence that he was right he threw the receipt back to her.. This is how incompetent of a manager he is when he finally looked at the receipt, he didn't know how to read it and it was right there in blAck and white .. Nor did he take the time to review the in house tape recorded. So now About an hour of holding her captive he gets a police officer there. Again makes a scene with the cop there humiliating and accusing her of theft in front of check out counter. It took the police officer to say, did you review the tape, so an hour of interrogation, humiliation it took only 5 minutes of watching the tape to decide she was innocent . Willy the manager at the rosiclare il branch was mad as hell because he thought he was so right, yet, he was so wrong an so out of line he said just go.. Not an apology, not a he was sorry for the unprofessionalism he presented for making her literally break down an cry . He terrified her and he should be fired . she came so upset and crying i asked what's wrong ? So we went back down there an this time I showed the manager the receipt and pointed to the purchase and unbelievably he still denied it was not on there . After the third time your manager finally seen the purchase on the receipt that was presented to him and then he demanded that we leave the store and not return ..WOW ! I ask you DGS district manager is this how you train your managers to treat the paying citizens. I highly recommend he is fired .. Thank you
MIKE BLAIR

The individual who was questioned by the manager (your "lady") may want to contact the corporate customer service directly. Since you were not present for the entire situation and was not the individual accused of theft, the complaint should not come from you.

Dollar General check out clerk very ill

I stopped at the Dollar General and got more than I expected! The lady checking us out was extremely ill, she had a fever. She had snot running out of her nose. She also advised us to use hand sanitizer upon checking out. I asked her why was she here and not at home. Her reply, "I would lose my job". As I was walking out, the manager was walking in with an arm full of food. I threw my bags in the trash. I threw $64 in the dumpster. I have one of the largest business' in the town and shop for all my supplies at this Dollar General. I put up with the rude employees that make you feel like you are bothering them by checking out. I put up with the crowed isle and stock carts in the way, but this is too much. Yes, I could of dropped my stuff and walked out but I didn't know how bad it was until I was already being rung up and at that point I think I was literally in shock. She wiped her nose and handed me money. Here is the best part, I woke the next day and felt like crap. My throat was sore, I ached all over. I have 6 children. Here we go... and no insurance.

The girl stocking shelves could of been up front. There was enough stuff on the shelves. Maybe DG needs to cut back hours and open up room for more employees. This is bad business and needs to be dealt with.

Dollar General phone return policy & manager's customer service

My dad (72) lost his net10 flip phone. I searched several others including wal mart and none had the flip net 10. So I brought another company flip thinking it would work from your store. I called and they said it wasn't compatible, so I brought the unopened pkg back and the workers informed me that they couldn't exchange or refund the item. I asked why she says the manager want allow anyone but her to take phone returns. So I asked okay so now what am I supposed to do. They (The two working) tell me to come back tomorrow. I asked what time does she work. When one gets back she tells me 7 to 4. I say I work 6 to 6 at hospital for the next three days.. It will cost me an hour's pay to come see about a twenty dollar phone. I am not happy at all... Everyone is not a crook and I am not happy with this idea, policy, or law. It needs to be a sign put up saying our policy is that "no phone refunds or exchanges unless manager is at store" so customers are not inconvenienced. I could have brought the same phone at walmart and took it back with no problem. We don't have banking hours. If that is a policy I feel that the managers should have to stay for the doctors and nurse's who don't have bankers hours.

Dollar General store conditions

Everytime I go in store 00920, Oceana WV, it is a disaster. There are carts full of merchandise blocking the aisles, everywhere. You have to move carts to get sown the aisles or to look for products on shelf. I have severe anxiety every time I visit this store. I drove 40 minutes out of my way to avoid shopping here and going to another store. Also, at checkout there is always a 10 minute wait. There are always ppl lined up to check out. Please address these issues. Thank you

Dollar General manager at store #11292

Last night I went to the Doller General in Coker, Alabama in which I go to several times per week. Last night I went there for some soft drinks, a phone charger and some lollipops for my 12 yr old daughter. I walked in and got a buggy and went to the back right corner of the store where the soft drinks are located. I put some diet Mt. Dew's in my buggy along with a few Dr. Pepper. At the time the power to the store went out as there was a rain storm with high winds outside. At that time I pulled out my cell phone and turned on the flashlight feature so I could see to walk. I was then met by your store manager who's name is Anita I think. She has short brownish/red hair talks very loud and is rude to her Co-Workers. At this point she didn't say anything to me. I continued to walk up front to the cash registers area where I along with another couple for several minutes. I thought while I was right there at the phone chargers I would look for the one I needed since that was on my list for why I was there in the first place. I still had on the flashlight feature on my cell phone and walked about 5 feet to the cell phone charger display and found the one I needed and walked back and put it in my buggy. I stood at my buggy for about 10 more minutes and then walked over to the lollipops. Which is in the candy section at the front of the store by the cash registers and your "manager" is standing guard at the front door and is literally about 7 feet from me. The basket of lollipops are on the top of the display and have a sign that reads 3 for $1.00. So I get a blue, a green and a pink one. I could see the colors because I have my flashlight on remember. I start walking back to my buggy and your "manager" say's. "sir you need to come to the front of the store" in a smart [censor] tone! To which I replied "I am at the front of the store". She then stated it was for my "safety". Which I'm sure is a blanket reply for "so I can see you". I then said " lady I'm 15 feet away from you, ain't none trying to steal these .33 cent lollipops". I then asked her if she wanted all of us to go sit in our vehicles? She replied with another smart [censor] tone "y'all can if y'all want to"! Another 5-10 mins went by and the burglar alarm started going off in the store. Anita responds "I don't know why it's going off, I haven't even turned it on"? I said, "it probably thinks I was trying to steal those .33 cent lollipops like you"! She didn't reply. After a few more minutes went by Anita spoke up and said we all could leave if we wanted to because she did t know when the power was going to come back on. To which we all left and didn't buy anything. I'm telling you this to say. I've never in my life been accused of stealing anything. Not a single thing. If I had any intentions of breaking the law I most certainly would not have worn a t-shirt with the local fire department logo on it for which I work and have for over 20 years. Your "manager" Anita, and I use the word manager very loosely. Is a perfect example of what not to hire as a employee much less be in a supervisor position. She wants everyone in the store to know she's in charge. She is very rude to customers as well as the other employees that are under her authority. During other shopping trips I have witnessed her ordering her Co-workers that they need to go put back the returns and go do this and go do that. All the while the Co-worker is ringing up my purchases. Absolutely ridiculous behavior for a so called "manager". Anita is in no way shape or form manager material and is tottering on the edge of not even being hireable material. The Coker, Alabama store does stay busy because nothing else is out here. But everyone hates going in there because of Anita. She is rude and give Doller General a bad name!
