Dollar General poor customer service

Let me start by saying dollar general needs to do better over all! Customer service sucks and the stores are disgusting and hazardous to people. The managers are slack as hell and rude. I want to report all the dollar general stores for fire violations. The district managers and store managers need to look for people who want a job not a pay check that they don't deserve! (Janelle) the manager that works in Summerton SC 29148 almost ran into my son with a box cutter and never said a word. All I'm saying is you're lucky you didn't cut him or Dollar General would have a lot more to worry about!

Dollar General poor customer service

This is the second time that I go to DG in one day & just hate the fact that the checkout line takes forever. The male cashier was screaming Jessie name which was the other cashier & she never came. I went to go look for her just to find her talking on the phone on the trash bag aisle. I still told her that they were calling her in the front but she never got there since I stood in line for a while for checkout.

Dollar General unprofessional conduct and dressing

I was in dollar general store number 12097 tonight. Where one lady whom works their that I see in a regular basis never had on shoes! You are a company and you let these so called emoyees run around the store with no shoes on and playing with Halloween swords? I have never seen this in any other dollar general. This girl shouldn't be an employee at all. Running around in her sock feet, playing with toys, and looks like something off the streets! When asking her why she didn't have on shoes she reply my feet hurt and my boss let's me. While talking to another employee while still inside running register I find out that she's the boss'S daughter in law well she said mother of the boss'S grandkids she gets away with everything.. if this is the way you run a company I will not be back in this store. This is nasty from s customers stand point and as far as the boss of that store if she tolerates that from her employee maybe y'all need to do something with her! They all look like druggy up their anyways. Have you ever thought of checking in on your stores? And popping a random drug test every now and again? Geez this store is a joke!

Dollar General customer service and store appearance

Store is nasty carts and things you bring the boxes out on where blocking many of the isles so much I couldn't even go down most of them cashier was very rude and even to the point where she tossed my bags in my cart and had a very nasty attitude...I shop at this store more then 3 times a week but I'm at the point where I don't think I will be returning after today

Dollar General condition of your store/ hazard

My complaint is on store # 11439

Let me start by saying your store is a hazard to anyone that goes in it! It is the most disgusting, filthy and unattended store I have ever seen! All carys were filled with merchandise ( All) merchandise all over floors. Unable to walk isles at all. Flies everywhere and the smell of rotten something obviously food. The employees looked unbathed! You can't miss them since they greet you with cigarrette smoke at the front of the store! It is unbeliveable how you are throwing money away on employees who do not do their job! I would rather spend my money with DG but am seriously just going back to walmart after this horrible experience in this store that is new and should be in immaculate shape rather than this scene straight out of a Tornado scene!

Dollar General semi driver

I was headed north bound in Knox, IN today around 11:45 and was nose end of my vehicle lined up with where the truck connects to the trailer when your driver merges into the left lane at me. In the fast moment I had my options were limited; if i speed up I'll hit the nose of the semi. So I slowed down. braking, my timing wasnt good and i knew we'd collide and to avoid collision i was being forced into on comming traffic. i quickly crossed the road and pulled into a parking lot where a vehicle had fallowed me. The gentelman asked if i was okay and informed me that the semi didnt indicate at all he would be switching lanes. I didnt get a licens plate # but the # on the door of the trailer was 53920.

Dollar General customer service

Went in to make a purchase & the cashier obviously didn't know what she was doing because I used EBT cash. She continued to hit food stamp or something, I explained to her that I don't have or receive food stamps. The manger steps in & was rude and no help at all. I asked what was the stores number not phone number but how all stores have a location #. He gave a phone number that was displayed on the front window of the store I went ahead and called the number & left a message. And of course no response or anything.

Dollar General management

I was in the rogue river store a couple of nights ago and the young girl that was the running the store that night was so rude, not only to me, but also the cashier. She just belittled the cashier, it was so unnecessary. I believe her name was Sheryl. I have never seen any employee treated this way at this store. I am a regular customer and always enjoyed my shopping experience until that night. I felt so bad for the girl at the register.

Dollar General the assistant manager of dollar general was verbally assaulting me

I went to dollar general after already dealing with the assistant manager banning me from the store with no rights to and for no reason, being publicly thrown out and cursed out while I was with my mother and small children, followed home and harassed by this woman, having this woman call the police and falsely accuse me of things that were proven to be untrue, having to call corporate office in order to speak to the district manager (to fix everything this woman put me and my family through. This woman had the audacity to continued to seek problems with me when I tried to go about my business and shop for my items. As soon as I first walked into the door the atmosphere was uncomfortable and I was clearly not wanted there since she was shaking her head at me and whispering comments to other employees. I didn't let her bother me and I went to the front counter to check out. She was standing next to a trainee and instead of explaining the job and helping this employee she was on the phone loudly stating how the job wasn't her priority and that she didn't need to work there then she walked of and made fun of me. I continued to be rung up and left the store feeling aggravated, offended, and disgusted that such an ignorant, unprofessional, childish woman would be allowed to continue to treat customers so horrendously. Hopefully something is done and the correct actions are taken. Personally I will never go into another dollar general again and I will encourage other to shop in stores that don't tolerate the mistreatment, harassment, and utter lack of respect for customers.

Dollar General service

August 23, 2017; Between the hours of 5:30 & 6:30 PM, CST
The Dollar General store at 100 Tyler Street, in Covington, LA, has zero customer service or care. Because this location is the closest to my home, I am in there often. As a consumer drawn to thrifty bargain prices, I've become a frequent DG customer. The usual experience of this store is that it is often dirty, unorganized, having inaccurate and/or conflicting prices (if the price can be found), and managers that are ridiculously ignorant of manners, much less customer rapport. So, I have come to have very low expectations when it comes to my shopping experiences at this Dollar General Stores. But, this afternoon, the low DG standards of no-customer-service... were beyond their usually pathetic low.
The only one at the check-out counter was a young woman chatting on so long with a "group of loud obviously know acquaintances to her" that were buying random items and cigarettes one individual in the group at a time with no concern or regard to the long line of other shoppers waiting to check out. The lady behind me, with a cart of items she had stopped in to get on her way home from work, grew so feed up with the ridiculous wait, that she just abandoned her cart, filled with the items that she had just spent time collecting, then stormed out of the door. After the next customer did the same, that's when I noticed that this clerk was now on a cell phone to the manager asking how to handle a cigarette transaction for the guy that was now at the counter. That's when I put my items (that I had been holding for the past 15 minutes) into the same cart that was left by the first woman and walked out. As I exited the store, it was apparent that the "manager" to this check-out clerk was sitting in the front seat of her car parked in the closest parking spot to the front of the DG, chatting through her opened window with individuals who were in the car directly next to hers. As I pasted the cars, I heard her talking on her cell phone to the clerk inside who was behind the register! It was literally 6 steps from her parked car, to being inside of the store!
That is when I decided that this scenario had to be recount. This infuriating experience was an absurdly insane view of the lack of leadership on the part Dollar General. These employees were treating their jobs like it was happy hour at the corner bar. The district manager for this Covington location should be assumed and discussed to read this. And, if he/she is not highly disturb to know about this blatant disregard for the Dollar General brand and reputation on the part of these employees, that district manager should seek other employment accommodations.

Dollar General - risk management

I am a store manager. I called in with an on going pain I attempted to correct with Advil or Aleve. Seeking medical attention for pain is not something I jump to because our job consist of walking, standing, lifting, etc for 50 to 60 hours a week. The pain was to the point I couldn't walk without limping. I called on Monday 8-21 and was told to take Advil...

Dollar General sweet potato wrapped in chicken

I would like to know why the Dollar Generals in Sioux CITY, IA. haven`t been getting these dog treats in! not sure of the brand but they are sweet potato with chicken strips wrapped around it. I've been going to the stores for the last month. Lately I walk in the store and if they don't have the treats I just turn around and walk back out. I go shop some where else.

Dollar General dollar general employee name keisha

I was ruly treated wrong today by an employee name keshia had attitude purchased motor oil. and a few other items she had a bad attitude I left went home cause I was upset forgot my oil went back to get it. she dropped it on the floor not putting it in my hand. I said I'm not picking it up a customer was at the register picked it up I said I'm calling your manager she talked back at me. after she made the mistake now something needs to be done. I go to shop at this store at least 10 times out the month if not more I spend my money and get treated like this I'm not satisfied. with this. if need be can you please call me at [protected]. my name is veronica. thank you very much...!

Dollar General blonde manager on diamond

There was a manager walking around the store on the phone talking about doing drugs, getting high, and drinking extensively. He did not appear to be doing anything productive but he was still on the clock. He was talking very loudly and being disruptive. I ended up leaving before I got anything because he was making me upset and uncomfortable. I did not catch his name.

Dollar General not having a product

Your location on highway 1417 in Sherman, Tx doesn't sell Teddy Grahams. I have been craving them for days. I had just gotten done with school and thought I would pop in to get my favorite snack and when I got there I saw that you don't sell them. This really saddened me because I can usually find any snack food I want there. If you would try to add them to your snack choices it would be greatly appreciated by teddy graham lovers.

Dollar General the manager jackie edwards at the monterey louisiana

The manager Jackie Edwards was in the store today with an old faded t shirt and jeans. She was even kicking some boxes and using profanity in front of customers. She even used the f-word. It is a shame you would allow an employee to act that way in your store. That lady Janet is so unprofessional. Several customers was in the store complaining about her and also saying they would not be back. It is a shame you would allow 1 employee ruin our community's new store.

Dollar General sales associates and "manager"

Today I walked into the Dollar General in Deerfield by 54th and Dixie and was completely embarrassed when a male employee walked up to my Daughter and told her that she was banned from the store because some manager said so, so I asked what are they talking about and he said I'm on the phone with her right now he called her btw and she said she can't be in here and I'm asking why and he wouldn't tell me. So I leave because I refuse to buy anything in that store after being embarrassed in front of everybody and the sales associate claiming to be a manager who was not even working, she just showed up to talk crap followed me home screaming obscenities, videoing me but was too scared to even get out the car. I have never taken anything from the store. I've never been so embarrassed in my life this was ridiculous and something seriously needs to be done. I'm not the only person that this has happened to. At that the stores always disgustingly dirty the sales associates are very rude, the managers well the fake manager accuses everyone of everything including employees that worked there before and now dollar general is being sued for that reason by a recent employer. I will never ever shop at ANY Dollar General store again. I left a complaint with corporate I'm hoping that they actually do something about this instead of making money they're banning everyone and losing a lot of good customers. Please do something to stop this nonsense. I had my grandchildren with me also who where screaming because of the way they went about this.. They're 3 months and 1 years old and where terrified due to this.

Dollar General heat

Dollar general in Winamac. The store is so hot! Not only me but other customers are complaining too, there is no air! Food isn't good because the heat is getting to it. The store should not be 90°. The milk sweats so bad your soaked by the time u carry it to the register. The lines are so long it take at last 15mins just to check out! Something must be done!

Dollar General recent employee

I am a recent employee of dollar General in Franklin, ga. I have recently resigned I was a lead sales associate. Something has to be done about the manager and assistant manager . Alicia Summers and April Humphries. There is some funny business going on there. You are losing so many good employees who are willing to work and want the opportunity of moving up. You have managers taking pills on the clock. Coming in on off days trying to work drugged up. I have never worked for anyone who comes in and takes out their problems on their employees. I would even work off the clock because they needed help so bad . I got tired of being the only one caring about my job. They have harrassed me and tried to fight me. I have messages of her threats against me. Something has to be done about this. Customers complaining every day about rude managers and that is not how you run a business.

Dollar General poor customer service, manager so rude, and store looks very messy, halls full of boxes, worst store ever

This morning I went to buy 2 items and I had really bad experience, cashiet was new and he dindn't know the register, manager took so long to respond when he asked for help, they were over charging me for this 2 items and manager was rude all the time. At the end I showed her that it was an extra charge of 6 dls so I canceled the order, and manager was like ok whatever.
I spent like 20 minutes there, trying to get what I need and I didn't. : (
