Dollar General product expiration dates

I have recently noticed that the products has been horribly out of date and expired. I went to purchase bread and I seen the date was 3 weeks old and it was 6 loafs on the shelf for sale. I recently go sick from the same store with some peanut butter I purchased. I did not look at the date and took it home and made a sandwhich and got instantly sick. I looked at the date and the damn thing was 6 months expired. I told the manager I DID NOT WANT MY MONEY BACK JUST SOME MORE PEANUT BUTTER so I go back to get more and they were all 5 months expired, I said just give me my money back. There was a clerk working who asked the manager if she wanted him to clear out the shelves and she said no. Needless to say you will loose my business to family dollar. I have been going to you guys for over 10 years and now all of a sudden you guys are terrible and your manager on duty that night was very rude and unprofessional

Dollar General store manager

Yesterday which was 8-5-17, in Hattiesburg Ms. On Old Highway 11 which is in West Hattiesburg (Oak Grove Area). The Store Manager is so horrible. He left a young lady at the register by herself, The line was wrapped around the Lil snack rack thing. And he did not attempt to help the young lady. Everytime I go in that store that young lady is always by herself and barely gets help. And I don't think that is fair, they have that young lady stocking and having to check customers out and they expect the young lady to do everything. Everytime I come in she is sweet always speaking and helping people why the managers do nothing but sit in your office. The young lady name I Know starts with Amy I'm not sure of the rest or if that's her name for sure.

Dollar General dirty, overstocked aisles

Store #11894 in Pomona, KS is an embarrassment to our little town...we were all so proud to have this store; so convenient and we actually felt part of the shopping world without having to travel 10 miles. The overflow at this store is horrendous! So much so that a cart won't travel through an aisle completely! I could go on, limited on characters...

Dollar General unprofessional

Good afternoon. Last Thursday (August 3, 2017) around 3:15 p.m., I was at the Dollar General in Weatherford, Texas which is located on Fort Worth Highway. The line was very long and there were only two checkers. Of the two, "Jennifer" began complaining very loudly about an issue with a customer that apparently was holding up the line stating that this customer just didn't understand that Dollar General did not accept certain coupons, she complained how long the line was getting, her voice was very loud and rude, continuing to throw this customer under the bus so to speak. The other cashier for some reason was not able to log on to the other register. The customers were getting very frustrated and annoyed at "Jennifer's" lack of professionalism and her attitude. Three customers left because of her. I was one of them.

I went again today Sunday (August 6, 2017) at around 2:15 p.m. It was not crowded at all. When I went to the register "Tonya" was there. She is wonderful by the way. Love her smile and wonderful customer service. I asked for a price check on some lemonade. There was a sign stating it was on sale. "Tonya" called "Jennifer" over the intercom. There were at this time about four people behind me. We waited...and we waited...no "Jennifer". I, in fact, just saw her behind me in another aisle a few minutes before. Apparently, this behavior keeps happening..when you call for help...she doesn't show up. I told "Tonya" never mind, it was fine. I paid full price. I didn't want to hold up the line. Of course, after I pay, "Jennifer" shows up with a not so great attitude. I thanked "Tonya" for her help and promptly left.

Customer Service is a hard job, no doubt. This really is a great store with a great location. Perhaps some of the employees need a refresher course in Customer Service 101.

Dollar General customer service

After many days of shopping in the dollar general in Newton, MS I will NO longer shop there. Me and my son went there today at 7:48 p.m. (8/5/17) stock was everywhere store a complete mess but my complaint is this ... I am a couponer myself so I know what was going on. A customer lady came from back of stock room with a young man who worked there. She had 15 gain washing liquid in buggy then she had him go and get 15 more from a hidden box in the cluttered boxes! I asked the young man if by chance anymore in back.. he simply stated no. She purchased everyone of those on several I mean several phone numbers . One of the many reasons that store never has products! If customer service allows this to happen I will make sure to spread the word and I will no longer shop there ! What that cashier did was almost illegal.

Dollar General customer service

Hello
I hope everyone's day is well.
I just went to store 13455 in las vegas at 12:01 8/5

First i love you market chain stores. BIG fan! I recently moved here from san diego. We only have regular dg stores.

There is an hispanic female employee that the management seems to always be retraining on how to interact with customers. I finally had an interaction and it is making reconsider spending money in DG ever again. I give good word to any one that ask and i give give ratings for dg.

She is rude, unhelpful, lazy, a bigot, and very unprofessional to say the least.

My number is [protected].
I would love to speak to someome about how my wife and I were treated.

Thanks

Dollar General district manager

So I worked for dollar general for a couple of years and quit last year. I had put in a two weeks but was fed up with the district manager not doing anything to help our store. The store I worked at was in shawnee, ks. We lost our store manager in September of 2015, then two more employees a few months later due to stealing. From the day we lost our store manager til the day I quit I had two days off that entire time. I told the district manager that we needed someone else to help cover the shifts for me and the only other manager, which never happened. Well recently I was told I cannot work for your company ever again because I did not complete a two week notice. I understand not rehiring for a year or something reasonable like that but not ever. I was a hard working employee who worked day after day not getting a day off for months and then is told I'm never able to get rehired?

Dollar General general manager amber

She screams at her young employees in front of a long line of customers and never steps in to help. She doesn't care about the customers and is very cruel to some of her employees. Something needs to be done now! Managers shouldn't be allowed to bully or harass their employees! She has also pulled in another employee to join in on attacking younger employees.

Dollar General store appearance

Greetings, I am a frequent shopper at the Capitol Heights store, which is in my neighborhood. These last months I have grown more disappointed and discussed of the appearance of this store. This store has not been open that long and on a regular basis, it is always junky, things stacked on carts and boxes that never seem to get put away after delivery. As a customer, it is sometime difficult to shop do to all the items blocking other items. I went into the store again today after work, and yes boxes, carts and junk everywhere. There were no shopping carts available, because they were all full with store items. I guess the store manager may not have enough employees to help, but this store has become a site for soar eyes. I took a few pictures today. I will now go to another Dollar General that is better kept up until this store regroup itself or new management comes in.

Sincerely,
Ms. Shawn Holmon

Dollar General manager unprofessionalism

Store #06893 in Seaford, DE needs to replace the manager Karen. She is a middle aged Caucasian woman who is very unprofessional. There was a customer who thought a product was one price however it was another. There was a DG sale tag under the product, and the item the customer picked up matched the sign. The allergy product didn't ring up the sale price so a young manager Teona was called. She said she couldn't change anything and then proceeded to get the head manager Karen. After a long wait, she was retrieved. Karen came up to the register in a huff and in my opinion was accusing the customer of moving the sale tag. She kept saying, "customers move these all the time" and then proceeded to say, "do you really think it would be this price?" The customer responded, "I don't know. I don't work for DG." Karen then basically in a rude manner said that she wasn't getting the product for this price. All of this is happening in front of a soda delivery person, myself and another customer who has an issue with incorrect product placement.

I frequent DG at least 5 times a week. It is closer to me than going all the way to Walmart. Every time a customer has an issue and Karen is the manager, it takes a long time for her to come up front. The other manager Daniel is always on the floor fixing different things that need to be fixed. There is another African American manger that I see that is always on the floor taking care of business as well. But never Karen. I have seen the other managers during different shifts but I only see her in the morning. I feel she may be abusing her authority. I'm pretty sure if you give the other employees an opportunity to confidently and anonymously give details in their experience with Karen they would be critical as well. I'm just a customer and I notice all that. Imagine what the employees feel.

In any regard, maybe she doesn't like to deal with ppl. She doesn't need to be there at all. I may just have to suck it up and forego the convenience of DG and just go to Walmart. If customers are treated in such manner maybe DG doesn't want our money. I'm saying our because I will be sharing this story with my community. I can't believe treatment of customers in that manner is tolerated.

Dollar General general manager and higher

This is a multi million dollar company, yet they pay and treat employees/managers poorly. They are always understaffed and expect their employees to jump when needed. It is a fear based atmosphere and "cut throat." This is the reason for such a high turn over. Additionally, they particularly take advantage of their special needs adults. It seems that upper management need to take an etiquette class on how to treat human beings. Apparently, narcissistic personalities permeate the upper management staff.

Disappointed in GR, Michigan

Dollar General customer complaints

I am an employee of a dollar store in Kentucky and the reason how come we do not have bread and milk on site is because we are understaffed people come in and buy all products in bulk every time that I have a customer walk-in whether I'm checking someone else out or not they will interrupt me as I'm ringing someone up and not be patient and wait and they will ask me where product is when they do I tell them we're said product is or I will find someone immediately to help set customer I have no issues helping my customers leaving the store and having a good day and feeling satisfied and happy it is very hard to do when you're standing in one spot for anywhere between 8 and 16 hours a day cannot move around people need to know that things are not priced by our store and as far as the $3 coupons on the receipt you have to do the survey online to get the $3 off survey when you take it into the store The General coupons are for $5 if you spend 25 generally on Saturdays the $3 extra off is not a digital coupon it is an online survey you have to take as a customer to get. my store if I'm not staying in there and have no customers I am stalking the Shelf if I am out stalking yourself somewhere I leave something that makes a noise that the customers can see that they can squeeze ring a bell instead of having to yell out and call out does anybody work here there's always about my register if I'm not at my register I hope some of this information is beneficial to you as a customer

Dollar General no cashier at checkout

Several times while at your waddington, NY store I have to scream through the store to get an employee to ring me out. I don't know where the employee who is supposed to be at the cash register goes to. As a customer I should not have to wait when I'm done shopping . sometimes customers are lined up before a cashier comes out. I have visited other DG in my area and the wwaddington store is terrible for not having a cashier when a customer is ready to leave.

Dollar General semi in the parking lot behind my house

My yard backs, maybe 200ft, up to a dollar general at 41st st s and 23rd st (209 e ave) in Broken Arrow, Ok. It is 0114 in the morning and the store has a semi parked, running between my house and the store. This does not happen often but when it does, it is loud and keeps my family and dogs (barking) up at night. My neighbors have the same complaint though since I work for a police department they have come to me. I have been told by the local PD that this is a code violation guarantee to stop this. There is a Wal-Mart 2 miles south that allows semi parking over night.

Pls advise your response.

Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Dollar General management smithville ok

I am filing a complaint against Stephanie Bawden Case, manager, and Samantha Ward, assistant manager of the Dollar Store in Smithville OK. This is because they are discriminating against regular customers who shop there. They refuse to give these customers assistance simply because of personal grudges due to Samantha Ward's negative comments against these customers stemmed from personal grievances. This is making it difficult for these customers to shop there, which is the closest and most affordable store in the small town area. This is giving the store negative attention, which is threat to hindering sales.

Thank you for your time.

Dollar General restrooms

First of all, I am a very well mannered and very attentive parent! Tonight I went to the store to quickly purchase cat litter and food. My four year old daughter is potty trained and has been since she is two. As we are waiting in line with a small hand basket of things, she says that she needs to use the restroom and it's an "emergency." He fully understands that this means she has to go now! This isn't done often and usually she can hold it, but this was different. This is our local DG, so I've been here before and have used the restroom. You must ask for a key, but they give you the opportunity to use the restroom. When I asked if I could get the key so my for year old can use the restroom I was told NO and that the restroom was not public because someone pooped on the floor! I was absolutely mortified that I was actually denied this access for my child! I stuck it out and quickly checked out and left. As we were walking to he car my child literally had an accident! This was SO ridiculous and preventable! I obviously was NOT going to pooped their floor or allow my child to do this! This restroom was located in front of the store near the checkout and could be monitored easily! It was NOT in a stock room or in back of the store! I'm furious! 😡

Dollar General store service

I shop the dollar general on a regular basis because it is near my house and it is convienent. I have never had any issues Except for today when I went in to buy fly spray . After circling the store for 20 mins I found nothing and was about to leave. As I was l leaving I was approached by one of the cashiers who told me I had to leave my bag upfront. Apparently she thought I was going to steal something. I felt really embarrassed by this clerk. I have never seen any signs saying to leave my bag up front and it being my purse was a no go so I just left . I will not be returining to this store . So thank you to dollar general for thinking your long standing paying customer was going to steal

Dollar General trouble finding products

This Dollar General is nothing but a waste of time to visit. Nothing ever needed is in stock or on the shelves. One cashier is all that is ever operating. Very time consuming to visit this location. In the rare occasion that what you need is actually in the store, it takes forever to check out. The employees are very unhelpful and do not open another register when there is a perpetual line of customers ready to check out; they just walk past the line, which is all waiting at one register to check out and go outside to smoke. I can never find the products that I need, I have to go out of my way, to another location to try to find what it is that I need. All of my friends and family have said the same thing about this location and it is very ridiculous that a store as new and nice an establishment as this can be so poorly operated.
Thank you.
