Dollar General altha fl dollar general

Y'all have GREAT employees there in Altha Florida! Always helpful and sweet and professional!

But however there's a issue! Y'all do NOT have air conditioning in there at all! There's Nats in there from the doors from being wide open because there's no air to circulate or keep the employees and/or customers too!

Y'all had someone supposedly fix it and it still isn't and hasn't been for a good minute, and frankly that's not fair to the customer and especially employees because I know damn well y'all dont pay worth a damn anyway for the amount of work y'all want done! They are always so hot when I walk in there so friggan HOT sweating their [censored] off as well as the pregnant woman that is made to work in that heat! That's not healthy for her period and all y'all did was offer ONE Gatorade per shift? Really? Y'all need to do something about this! That's not cool by any means I guarantee y'all have air where y'all are at working in your offices, but expect them to do what they do in that heat especially in Florida! Get it together Dollar General!

Dollar General dollar general employee complaint

I shop in our lovely local dollar general almost daily. It is usually a wonderful experience, but... I was very insulted by a new employee that has quite a attitude. This is not the first time this has happened. She rolled her eyes at me when I was not sure about the new way to insert bank card into machine instead of swipping it. I said. "How is your day. she didn;t say nothing. She continuted to bag my merchandise, which I bought around 44.00 and she put my bread on the bottom d the cans on top. When I came home my eggs were broken and my my bread was smashed. She didnt have to give me a attitde like that. I was very upset. The new manager I have not yet have called, she really is a great girl and has that store in top shape. I will be contacting her tomorrow. The girls name was Kaylee or Kayla. She was so rude her job is defiantly not in customer service. She really needs a class on how to treat your customers. But, to the rest of the Dollar General Employees and managers are awesome you really have a great leader Samantha running your store.

Kaylee is defiantley not Dollar Generail Material

Thank you

Mrs. Banhart

First, you need to learn the English language. Second, the cashiers are told to use as few of bags as possible. And third, shop there when Kayla isn't working.

Dollar General associate at register singing while wearing earbuds. could not hear my questions.

While paying for the items I had, I asked the associate if she had any regular packs of m&m plain candies. She didn't respond. I asked again, and when she didn't answer, I stopped looking for the item and looked up. She was singing to music I could hear, myself, wearing purple earbuds. I told her to never mind, and I just picked up a king-size pack. Even then, there was no response, after making eye contact. I know I had the look of a person with a question, but that was either ignored or not seen. I paid for my items, Allergy tablets, diphenhydramine, 100 tablets, and the king-sized m&m plain candies, and left. She did say "Thank You". Maybe there was a pause in the music, or she was between songs, and felt she could, for that brief moment, acknowledge me, a paying customer. This isn't my first negative experience there. Another time, I asked an employee, who I believe was this same associate, but I can't be positive about this, if they had more of a bagged candy, Jolly Ranchers Sour hard candies, up top, in the inventory on top of the shelves. This associate said "I don't know ", and walked away. I thought she may have been getting a ladder, or another associate, but this wasn't the case. She went directly to the register, and began ringing others up. Even when I purchased the items I could find, and she rang them up, she did not mention the question I asked. Another time, I witnessed a man who, after paying for his items, had the associate on the register say "Hey! Hey! Put this where you got it from!", pointing at the yellow bin the guy had used to hold his items while shopping. I would've been polite, as this man should've been. But, her saying a loud "Hey! Hey!" was very out of line, and reflects poorly on your corporation. This particular Dollar General has an associate professionalism problem. I am always a person who comments about good manners and friendliness to each associate. I am very quick to point out respect and honorable attitudes, being retired US Navy, and who appreciates discipline, respect and hard work. I give them the benefit of the doubt, even saying encouraging words when someone appears depressed, or down. However, blatant disrespect shouldn't be tolerated, especially when every dollar from customers should be appreciated with today's prices. I have never reviewed your corporate training program for new associates. But, I can see that any policies on customer service and respect aren't being enforced at this location of Dollar General in Boiling Springs, SC, store number 04847. Thank you.

Dollar General complaint against employee

I am complaining because last night I had a horrible experience shopping at the Dollar General store in Thurmond NC. The blonde haired woman who was in charge of the store, I think she is a manager, named Dawn was very disrespectful to us. She very rudely informed us that it was closing time and we needed to hurry to the register before it was closed down or we wouldn't get to purchase our 32 items. My daughter went to check a price for me while I waited in line and Dawn gave her a mean look like she was trying to steal something and questioned her about what she was doing. Then at the register I was trying to be as fast as possible getting my items checked out as the lights were being cut off while we were checking out. So I couldn't see very well and was trying to hurry as best I could which had me shaking after an already stressful day, it was clear to see that I have health issues, I'm disabled. Well, being rushed and all I wasn't allowed the time to pull up my DG digital coupons which I really needed to use since I'm on a fixed income, and I was frantically searching my purse for my EBT and Debit cards so I had my purse out taking everything out of it right in front of both employees and put my belongings back in and closed my purse in front of them. The dark haired woman running the register was very kind I want to compliment her for her kind customer service. However, Dawn continued to be very rude and it only got worse. When we exited the store she noticed my purse on my daughter's shoulder and said "Anytime someone comes in with a larger sized purse we have to search it, it's store policy, so I need u to come back in." As instructed I reentered the store and emptied my purse, which is not very large, onto the floor as I thought she requested being that is the quickest way to see what's inside it. She then smartly remarked " I told you I had to search it, you didn't have to dump it out." After seeing the contents of my purse she just walked off as I collected my belongings and I, a disabled regular customer, had to pull the doors open in order to get out. I have almost exclusively shopped at Dollar General for years and I have NEVER encountered such disrespect and been treated so terribly and I am utterly OUTRAGED by this mistreatment! She could see I was overwhelmed and stressed but instead of trying to help she only made it worse to the point that I was shaking. I have talked to others and found that many have had issues with her, she has a horrible attitude. I have always shopped with Dollar General but this experience has me considering other stores for my regular shopping. I guess I'll just start going to Walmart. I feel this is a serious issue that requires your immediate attention! I sincerely hope that you will take the appropriate actions to take care of this problem. I will be posting on Facebook about my experience last night to warn others and will keep them updated as to how you handle this matter. I thank you for your time it is appreciated but I am so angered by this mistreatment I endured and think it may even be discrimination because the other customers who were in front of us were not treated the way we were with such disrespect. I believe she violated my rights, she definitely does not know how to properly treat a customer, In my opinion this is a serious problem that needs to be addressed right away. This issue occurred at store #17265 on 07/09/2018 at 22:12:56.

Sincerely,
Tamela Mcgee

5he employees have to be clocked out by 15 minutes after closing or they risk getting in trouble. You should have shopped earlier in the day.

Dollar General management

The Dollar General in Shelbyville Il, 01123 needs new management. The store is a mess. Clothes threw all over the floor and customers walking on them. Food and different items on the floor. Lots and lots of expired food. I have picked up many items expired and put back because it does no good to tell anyone. It seems like the manager is always off work and people working for her. She is phony and talks about customers and staff in front of other customers. She tries to act kind but is not. She had some good employees and they have left because of her. I know some of the employees that have left. Great decent hard workers. the people working there now either have not been trained or something, they do not know anything. If I go in usually there is no one to greet me. When I go to checkout might be 5 minutes or more before anyone shows up to check me out. The manger needs fired and another one to take over. I have stopped shopping there and have told anyone and everyone to go to another store because of her.

The Dollar General store in Jacksonville Beach Florida would be a good store if it had better management. The manager Ann Leopard runs around the store looking like a clown that escaped from the circus with all the crazy hair colors and the crazy eyeshadow. It specifically states in the policy no colored hair and customer's have complained about how unprofessional it is along with her rude attitude. Then you have the assistant manager Brooke Money who's alcoholic husband comes in the store and the two of them are arguing and cussing so the customer's being checked out can hear them. You can tell the young man on register is embarrassed and keeps apologizing to the customer's. The assistant manager is also rude and lazy. There is discrimination and favoritism going on big time. When customer's ask for the number for the district manager or corporate to complain about these two they laugh and give the number but as soon as the customer walks out the door they will call the district manager to tell their side of the store first. It's a shame because this store does have some really good employees but theses two make sure they are not around very long. Dollaar General expects some employees to follow policy but yet corporate does not enforce the policy for management. They get rid of employees that work but keep management that covers for each other when customer's complain. That's a shame.

Sounds like you got a personal issue with the manager instead of against the store.

I have a personal issue with any company that don't make employees follow the policy especially management. I don't know the management personal but when I'm a paying customer in a store with my elderly parent and I see and hear management cussing and laughing at other employees playing instead of putting a stop to it. Then, yes I have a personal issue. Management should be held to a higher standard and set the example for other employees. Dollar General don't even follow it's own policy so I can see why they don't care what takes place in their stores. Bottom line. If I'm a paying customer then yes I have an issue.

Dollar General store temperature

The DOllar store on Route 21, in Masontown Pennsylvania is extremely hot. It's nearly impossible to shop for more than 5 mins without getting over heated. It's at least 25 degrees hotter inside than what it is outside. So, when it's 80 degrees outside it's nearly 100+ inside. It is even worse for the employees working inside this store. You can see, just by shopping in there, that they are hot and miserable. Something needs to be done about this immediately. This has to be some kind of violation of the employees having to work in this store!

Dollar General cashier on her phone

The lady at the register was on her phone the entire time. She didn't even greet us when we walked into the store. The phone call seemed to be a personal phone call and had nothing to do with her work. All I'm trying to say was that the service was very bad and it was disrespectful for her to be on her phone the entire time while checking me and my family out.

Dollar General cell phone and plan

i baught a phone plan and phone, on 7/6/2018, that do not work and I was not allowed to return them the cashier had not given me the phone I had asked for that cost the same so bc of the cashiers mistake im out of 70 dollars. im a single mother and student I cannot afford to spend another 70$ due to the inability of some to do their jobs. I specifically asked if they would work together and was given false information. so after not giving me what I actually asked for and not giving me the right information after I pointed out their mistake I feel like I should get a refund for the 30$ cell phone and 40$ plan.

So when the cashier gave you the wrong phone - you didn't open your mouth and say that's not the phone I want? As for "The customer is always right" That was a marketing gimmick and is completely untrue. As in your case.

Dollar General employee smoking marijuana

I was in the store in Bristol Rhode Island and a female employee was smoking marijuana in front of the store . With her uniform on when i ask the cashier if i could have a word with the Store manager she call her and to my surprise it was the woman i just saw smoking marijuana. Her Name was Monique
I think theres a place and a time for everything but i dont think smoking marijuana on the clock is a good representation of your business. There where people with small children shopping i though this was a family store not a smoke shop.

Dollar General dorcy luminator floating lantern

I purchased a Dorcy Luminator Floating Lantern on 06/16/2018, 17:44 at Dollar General Store #09295 in Mobile AL. I first opened and used it on 07/04 and yesterday. Well, it does not work today. I returned to store w Lantern, battery and receipt to get even exchange. Manager opened another, tested the one I brought back and it didn't work. Put the new battery in and it worked.
Larry, the manager refused to give me an even exchange. He is definitely focused on profit and not customer satisfaction. He suggested I buy a replacement battery. I told him that I didn't buy this Lantern for single use and informed him that I will report to Corporate and he said o.k.
I escalated to Dollar General Customer Service Inquiries. Will see what happens.

Dollar General dollar general 1906 a oxford ms 38655

I absolutely despise coming to this store. The working are rude and the store is a mess. This morning I told myself I will give them one more chance. I get here at 7:55 to get in and run errands I need to do this morning. Guess what? It's now 8:03 am central time and 3 workers are sitting in their cars in front of me and the store is not open. I have now seen two customers try to go in and leave. This is a problem and should be addressed. Thanks

Dollar General trina supervisor in fortuna california

I had the worst experience in Fortuna California tonight. I will never shop at Dollar General in Fortuna again. I loaded over 271 digital coupons and purchased a few items that had coupons and $3 did not come off of my 30 pound bag of dog food I purchased. The cashier was kind and said he needed to get his manager he wasn't sure how to handle it. She (Trina) walked up to me (seemingly in a bad mood at 9:10 pm) and said when did you load your coupons. I showed her my phone which had the coupon on it and told her a couple days ago. She didn't reply and started pushing buttons on the cash register and said why s the computer doing this? the cashier replied, the computer has been slow my whole shift. She said there is nothing I can do I do not have the authority to take the $3 off. I asked if she could override it since I showed her the coupon. She said no. I looked at my husband and said this isn't fair this is why we came here to get the dog food on sale. She stood there with a mad look on her face and asked me if I want her to VOID the whole transaction. I said no I guess I will get it but I would like the information for corporate or her manager and she said call Jessica tomorrow and complain to her (as she walked away) . I was upset and told the cashier its not his fault but it took me 20 minutes to load my coupons and that's why I like to shop there to get the sales. Trina overheard our conversation and she yelled from the other register while helping a customer..Jessica is going to tell you the same thing I told you.
I replied that she doesn't seem to have any empathy or seem to care and never once apologized that shows me she is not customer service oriented. She replied, she is sorry I perceived it that way and to have a wonderful night. I said you really don't care and your tone is rude, she said honestly I don't care and I said it is showing me as a manager at dollar general. She yelled to me as I was walking out, I probably make more money than you do and I don't care at this point.
The whole time this is going on there is a line of customers.
I am appalled.
I spend about $200 month on dog food and toiletries and have never been treated this way in a Dollar General, I am now a person who will drive by and take my business elsewhere. I just wanted my $3 coupon. I wish I would have walked away and not bought anything after being belittled and treated like I was.
I take pride in where I work and I will give my loyalty and business to a company that has employees who care about its community and the people who bring business and shop at Dollar general.

Dollar General the store itself

I would like to file a complaint. This store on 6th ave Mineral Wells tx has only been open a couple of years. For such a nice new store it is impossible to shop at. Ridiculous to shop at . My pictures will explain a lot of my frustration. No baskets available because the workers are using them, the aisles are blocked to where you can't go through them, the shelves are empty so there's nothing to choose from, and there is always 1 cashier and 10 ppl in line! I wish you would go take a visit and see for yourself what I'm talking about. Thank you for your time.

Listen [censored]...the employees make minimum wage. They have to stock the shelves during business hours so there are going to be empty shelves. The dollar general in my town has 3 people max working at a time. It's usually only two. So if you want a great shopping experience stop being so cheap.

@shadowc You have the right to work. Don’t let someone take it away from you if you feel it was wrongful termination. There should be a legal aid office/an EEOC office located in your town or surrounding area where you live. A trained employment consultant/employment legal expert should be available to meet with you by appointment. Details disclosed with a professional may assist in clarifying any confusion and In a more confidential setting.
Beware of Wrong legal direction offered by someone that doesn’t know your state laws & the federal laws. It will make it worse if ineffective counsel is given.
Good luck in your future endeavors.

Search a business online. That’s how I found this site. A billion dollar corporation to a local small business shows up via this site In the top 5 search results enough it appears you too are here among the millions of other users on this site researching. This thread has trailed off into nonsense unfortunately, but this site isn’t expendable in the 2018 smartphone era we all live in.

An online platform like this can shut down a business better than any attempt “in person handling this” could as mentioned in the advice offered by this brilliant thread commentary.

Amazon makes Walmart scramble daily. Dollar General is a low income shopping demographic if you research marketshare each year. Let’s focus on this user’s alleged post & make up a drama discussion about the real reason a super successful DG manager fired a DG employee who sacks groceries making minimum wage.

Do the rest of the site’s users a favor and not comment again after this. You’re here for drama and it’s distracting.

Dollar General service

I was threatened and assaulted by another customer at the store in Danville Virginia. The number is 12808. It happened in front of the two employees on 7/6/2018 at four pm. The customer threatened me and when I said I was going to call the police he came towards me threatening and cursing at me and pressed his chest against mine. I backed away and called the police and he left very quickly. Which when he started to cursing and threatening me the two employees did not ask him to leave and did nothing. I believe the male cashier in the line that he was in knew him because when the employee talked with him he said a name. Which when the police arrived he said that he didn't and did not tell the whole truth.

If more would have happened I would have defended myself but I wasn't going44 to put other people in jeopardy because of a ignorant customer and ignorant employees that weren't doing anything even though there were kids in the area.

Dollar General service

My name is Sasha Abshire and I live in Winnie Tx. I use to shop at the Dollar General at least 3 to 5 times a week. Winnie is a small town and we don't have much here. The Dollar General, Family Dollar, Market Basket, Tractor Supply, Lumber Yard, A few fast food places and convient stores. So choices of stores is pretty limited. I like the deals y'all have and until what happened to me the service as well.
I went to Dollar General one day to get a few things and as i was checking out i noticed a few police officers standing at the door. I just thought to myself the stealing in this town is out of control. I checked out and PAID for the items i had and was walking out the door when I was stopped by the 2 police men. The alarms didn't go off or anything so i was confused. One of them ask me if they can search my bag and of course i was like well yes but may i ask why. He says they think that you have stolen something. At this point i am infuriated. They search my purse and did not find anything. He tells the manger and his words were "Well i still dont want her back on this property!" So i get a trespassing notice and told not to come back. How exactly would you feel if this was you and you had never stolen and yet was kicked out for it? I have the trespassing paperwork and I'm sure I have my receipt somewhere. I just need to find it if you would like copies of it I will gladly send copies of it to you. Now i have to shop at a place i dont like. Im so sorry for any inconvenience but I am asking that this please be taken care of or delt with. My phone number is [protected] if any questions please call. Or email me at sashaabshire.[protected]@gmail.com

Dollar General service

Employees use inappropriate/cussing language and some employees play inappropriate/cussing music loud in the store while shoppers (and children) are present! I never go in this store unless it's my only option and it's solely because of the invironment I know my children will be subjected to. Someone needs to do something about these immature adults. They need a baby sitter. (New Hope Road location)

Dollar General store condition

I live in Lake City, Mi, our family dollar store presently closed causing myself to go to the Dollar General. This store is so filthy, unpleasant odor, filthy restrooms, product spread over the floors, unsafe for customers. Rusted shopping carts, sloppy looking employees, and so much more. I took pics of the condition of the store. Sharing on Social media

Dollar General can’t adjust incorrect price on alcohol?

It's July 4th and very few stores are open. DG is close and open and has some wine that we can stand the taste of. I grab a 1.5L bottle of Liberty Creek Pink Moscato labeled $7.95 on the shelf. I get an overpriced 12-pack of Coke as well to add to some rum at home. The employee rings up both items and I saw the wine rang up at $8.95. I state nicely "I believe that is $7.95." He states, "No, it rang up at $8.95." I go to the back of the store myself to check and grab the shelf label that states $7.95 and show it to him. He calls the manager over, she checks the label and the bottle to match, then tried to override the price. She then states, "The computer won't let me override the price for alcohol. You have to pay what is shown." I stood there with a dumbfounded look again emphasizing "But, the shelf price tag in your hand says it's $7.95." Again, in a louder voice as if I didn't hear her the first time, she says "The computer won't let me do it." I say, "Are you the manager?" She says "Yes, I have the manager keys." I then suggest that she reduce the price of the 12-pack of coke by $1.00 if she can't adjust the alcohol. She gets very upset with me and yells, "It doesn't work that way." So now I stand there for spite while the line grows behind me because I know I'm correct and she is wrong. I have a friend with me who was also getting the same brand of wine. We both left the items on the counter and walked out. We drove 12 miles to the nearest open store which was Publix. I've had many prices ring up incorrect at DG and after seeing the ad or shelf label have corrected it one way or another. I'm tired of how weong their systems are almost every time I go there. I will never give them my business again.

I don't know if every single person who commented before simply works at a Dollar General so you're being nonchalant- who cares abt a dollar, but it's the principle of the fact the product was advertised at a certain price.

Now if it has rung up at a different price, anyone will feel like they should pay the sticker price bc when something is set at a particular value it doesn't matter if it's just one penny or of its 100 pennies off, you'll expect to pay what is advertised right in front of you.

(& If you deny you'd be 100% hunky dory, well, you're only lying to yourself!)

ONE DOLLAR. 100 PENNYS. ..come on people lmfao.

I'm sure you paid more than a dollar in gas to drive that extra 12 miles when you could've saved that dollar buying your wine at the DG.
