The store is filthy. The shelving is dirty, the floor has not been mopped and there are puddles of water throughout the store. Your shoes stick to the floor where you walk. There are ants on the floor as well. The employees leave the front doors open and smoke right where customers enter the store. The aisles are cluttered with boxes and very dirty. I enjoy shopping at Dollar Generals, but I will no longer go to this store.

I shop dollar general all over the east coast of Ohio but my home store #3738 at 886 liberty st in Hubbard is the worst I have ever been in. You can tell the staff working at this location is unhappy and is like a revolving door you never see anyone stay for very long. The manager is totally unprofessional and unhelpful. I have witnessed her dress down employees and delivery drivers alike using profanity. The store itself is filthy and cluttered to the point that maneuvering a shopping cart is almost impossible. The main register used for transactions always crashes when I attempt to use digital coupons. I honestly avoid going to this location but I needed a few items on Thursday and made the mistake of using this location as it is only a mile from my home. The terminal crashed again and took 20 minutes to reboot before my transaction was completed the whole time the MOD was on the phone with Doris from the moment I walked into the store to begin shopping and was discussing employees and complaining she continued to be on the phone checking out customers that were behind me when the system crashed and was still on the phone when I left. It is in poor taste to be trashing your employees and delivery drivers within earshot of customers. The MOD stated to me that she was talking to the manager (Doris) and that the next time I was in that I should request the MOD open her register for me to check out. I explained that for over a year now that this particular register has been a issue and they may want to service the equipment instead. The whole time I could hear the manager complaining about how customers are a pain in her [protected]@!.

I am so shocked over hearing the manager stephen make sexual comments about women and reference his assistant manager as to the size of women he likes and what he would like to do to some of the female customer's. He had an employee who recently quit because she has 2 injuries that Stephen told her to handle on her own. I heard these words come out of his mouth myself. He didn't want any accidents on his record. I didn't really like this lady, but she worked really hard and put up with NO family time.

I came into your store today very sad and scared and kind of in a rush and you were so cold and hateful to me; you see i was in a hurry sad and scared because the puppy my 10 year old son bought me ( for mothers day with his birthday money ) was at home very sick. She is dying from parvo and i was trying to find some medicine for her to try and help her, and you yelled at me and said you didnt have what i was looking for. So i grabbed Pedialyte and checked out crying. You weren't even busy... im sorry you were in such a bad way and i hope god blesses your life truly. I forgive you.

I am a frequent shopper of Dollar General store in Brookfield, Georgia. There is absolutely no black hair care products in the store. My sister and I has informed the managers and the issue has not been resolved. Of all the many Dollar General stores in Tift County that is the only location that doesn't sell black hair care products. There are black employees that have and currently work at this store. As a customer, it is very inconvenient to have to drive to another location or other retail to purchase the products I need. I hope that this issue is resolved sooner.

I have got a threatening call from [protected] many times this month and on june 22nd 2018 from restricted number. I happen to attend this call as it's restricted from US Dept of homeland security.The scammer spoofed the DHS number using hacking software i believe, I checked with my sources and co firmed later, and tried to threaten me scare me not to tell anyone turn off wifi internet to buy these cards otherwise would get arrested etc. I could type only one gift card details code at back scratched.The amount is worth 1600$ split into 4 Google play gift cards each 500$, 450$, 325$, 325$ etc.
Please refund me the whole amount asap.I have filed police complaint against such scammers. Please refer to case # [protected].
The scammer redeemed my cards.I have tried to get in touch with dollar General store outlet where I got them, Google play customer care service center gift card support, bank of america debit card fraudulent claim department to report it to them,

I sent my boyfriend in to get a carton of 305's cigar cigarettes and they charged me for ten individual pack's instead of charging me for a carton then when I took them back in and said I didn't want them they would not refund my money then when I asked for the 1-800 number they gave me the wrong number how can they get away with ripping people off like that and think it's ok

I went into the twin lakes wisc store to get my green dot card reloaded and the woman that helped me was not only very unprofessional but she did not any idea how to load my card. I then explained to her that i have loaded my green dot/ money pack card at many dollar generals on a daily bases and i have never met a person that is not only very rude but at the sametime didnt know how to do it. I tried to explain to her how other stores have done it, at that point she began to be yet rude somemore. She stated if i had a issue with the store that i could file a complaint. I stated to her that i intended to. I did not catch her name but she did tell me that she was not a manager that she was a key holder and she has only been working there for a month. This is very poor customer service and i can assure Dollar General that i will NOT go to that store again. Not only was she very rude but the store alone was very messy and disgusting.

I was an employee at the Killeen, TX Dollar General on Rancier. My store manager Agnes had hounded me from the day I started. She would berate me to do better even though i had always done my best. She would ask me frequently if I was able to do my job. And all but threatened my position saying I need to do better or it won't work. We'd stock up on weekends and she'd come in complaining the store looked horrible. Quite loudly and in front of customers. The most upsetting factor is it seemed she was only bullying me and none of my coworkers. I believe that I was being bullied mainly though because I was the youngest worker there and did not have the years of experience and confidence to steel myself towards her bullying. It got so bad that in the recent weeks leading up to my quitting that I dreaded attending work and was becoming anxious every time I had the sickening realization that it was time.
On a simpler note, my hours were never remotely consistent and seemed like I was only hired to fill in the unwanted shifts. Like my preferences were never taken into consideration. We worked evening shifts with 2 people which is absurd given it is the rush hour in it's own. And in being so we aren't able to get done everything that needs to be done because both persons are busy the entire time. Our scheduling was insane and should have had more than one person manning the registers at a time, not just one in front and back.

This product I purchased on 6-8 2018 was Welch's fruit snacks strawberry a 2.25 ounce for $0.85 and the expiration date is 2012 now what's funny is that Dollar General was not even built in 2012 so I'm just wondering and curious does the Dollar General have anything that's not expired in their store because if so that goes to the state because that's illegal

I was trying to use a five dollar coupon and the young ladies refused it. So I tried to then proceed to tell them politely they can't do that. As I was walking out the manager asked "you don't want it?" I said not if your not going to accept your valid coupon. She said "oh well". Basically I didn't actually need the stuff I was value shopping. People actually need things though and this is crappy

This Dollar General is absolutely disgusting. The employee's all stand around and gossip with each other while there is one person on the register checking people out while the other 5 employees stare at us customers lined up literally to the back of the store. I NEVER see any one stocking shelves and all the Isles are full of UBoats. You can't even get to what products are even on the shelves. They NEVER have any thing on the shelves. We "the customer " have to dig through the boxes on the uboats to try to find what we want. I live on the same street as this store yet I go all the way to the next town because i HATE going into this store and so does everyone else i know. The employee's are always UNPROFESSIONAL and rude. I am a loyal client at your store in the Bronx store next to the freeman street train stop and its1312 southern blvd the . there is a woman that i think she may be manager or something. Hispanic and kind of butch looking and she is overly rude obnoxious and makes people feel like they are bothering her when they go to the store. She makes me think twice to go in and unless i don't see her i go in the store but i needed to make this complaint because im sure someone would appreciate this job when this person obviously is hurting the store

Hi, this store is located in Hawley, Pa., it was a grocery store, then transformed into a Dollar General, our community is in great need of this store, we have a lot of elderly that walks to this store due to this being the only place within about five miles for them to buy a few groceries .This parking lot is a huge danger to drivers and walkers, it is in need of great repair, driving in there is a hole 10 inches deep, about 36 inches around, these continue through the whole parking lot, also no painted lines to park. I don't understand this since your corporation has three new stores on route 590 within about a 15 mile stretch. Please repair this before someone falls or a car has major damage . The Burlington Dollar General is disgustingly dirty always. The people employed there always appear dirty. They smell awful! The floors are grossly filthy. I understand it is a very busy store but something needs to be done. The counter is so dirty I stand with my stuff in my arms because I don't want my stuff ruined by the filth. It needs help bad!

I purchased items on 6/23/18 9:30:04 0903 01 9855 at the store in Clay, WV.
My husband uses these receipts for our household items when he shops on the weekends for his next week's work.
So, when he gave the "man" the receipt he was told this was already used and threw the receipt in the trash, never offering to give the receipt back in case of need of any return items for which a receipt is required!
My husband said this man waited on him one other time and upon scanning the receipt for the $5 off, said, "People abuse these $5 off."
So, this is what I get from the situation. He basically called my husband (ie. me) a liar. We are not wanting hand-outs, we work. We don't own for anything so there's no abuse of any kind in just a $5 discount.
The issue itself is not about the $5 as the above sentence should explain. The issue is this clerk and his opinions and methods involved in the service of this company.
My complaint isn't wanting anyone fired but I do want what was allowed under the receipt and an apology and accountability to his actions and is his opinions and efforts going to continue because if this is so, I WILL NOT shop here, we will go to the competitor Family Dollar in Clay, WV.
Does his actions allow for him to get $5 off or taken when we were not allowed, and how many other customers has he done this way. I'm considering going on FB to pose this question.
And, two further points, my Uncle owns the building the DS is in and I can ask him. I also have a lot of friends who shop there and they can also post here about it if the above-case is on-going.
I expect a reply and will be contacting the manager, Debbie ... on Monday at 7:45 to let her know as well.
I don't understand why he should take it personally for the $5 issue. As an employee it would be more important to have a friendly helpful rapport than to be off-hand and not providing a service that this huge company offers. There's something wrong and it's affecting us, and who else?

FYI, I did call the store to speak with her and the "man" answered. I asked to speak with her and he informed me of the above. I told him why I was calling and that I would be calling her Monday to express this issue.

I would like to tell you a bit about an employee at the dollar general store in gibsonville nc 27249... Only store in gibsonville.. Her name is Misty Bellame.. She's always disrespectful to me when I come in the store.. I haven't a clue why... She speaks to some people in front of me and never speaks to me..she walks off during every transaction with my debit card until I'm done. I asked her this morning why she does this and she said it was none of my [censored]**** business.. I said wow! And walked off. My mother went to buy balloons this morning, she wanted about 20 filled up and, Misty got to 12 balloons and then told my mother that she was out of balloon gas. So I went just now to get balloons and she asked me how many I wanted filled..I said is the tank ok she said it's fine... She just didn't want to fill my mother's request...and these balloons were for my brother's suicide death date.. keep in mind I've never been in there with my mother so she has no idea were related.. Misty is always nasty towards my wife also.not disrespectful because my wife would handle it but always short and never ever helpful in finding products... I've also seen Misty walk out of the store with the register area unattended, and get in the car for a few minutes with another girl, reeking of pot upon coming back. I witnessed a kid steal while she was outside.. I told her that's very unprofessional coming back in the store with the smell of drugs on her.. maybe that's the reason she acts this way towards me.. doesn't explain wife or mom.. again, she has no knowledge of them.. All the people out of work maybe she should be replaced... I'm a avid shopper there and now when she's working, were going to family Dollar...very sorry and sad!? Very unprofessional

The store in Manton, Michigan is new so you figured it would be in better shape than it is. Right now in there clothing area there has been a yellow basket left filled with stuff in it for at least a month now & it still not taken care of. This store needs to worry more about its customers & less with stocking the shelves with new products. Its so hard for anyone to get anything because they are stocking shelves eveyday. Please let this get taken care of this could be an amazing store if it just gets cleaned up a little.

Opened my bad of popcorn put a bag in the microwave went to go wash my hands looked back at microwave.
Heard a load popping sizzling noise inside my microwave was bright light hurry up and unplugged microwave opened the door and the outside corner of my bag was on fire I doused it with water.
Someone needs to recall these popcorn bags if I would. Have not noticed it would have burnt my house down over a $1 box of popcorn.

The parking lot is so ridiculous at our jefferson, oh store location! Dollar general has been notified for 2 years about it and will do nothing. It's so bad it actually breaks cars driving through the massive holes and i've heard from the manager that they would rather fix customers cars than pay for a new lot! These "potholes" are as big as the whole entire entrance so you can't go around it. It's about 2-4' foot deep! And many more throughout lot. Even the delivery truck drivers complain weekly. I've heard the manager say to them that corporate will not do anything about it, she has sent them pictures and numerous complaints and they said it's easier to just pay for peoples cars to get fixed then pay for new asphalt.
