Dollar General service in general

My wife and I visited your location at Imperial Valley and FM1960 in Northwest Houston this morning 9/6/17 at 11:00 am and as we were checking out there was a line at one of your registers and I noticed there was a young lady at the register across the store and when I got up to her she looked at me and said she was taking a break and walked off. Keep in mind there was a line at the other register and she was going to take a break. She was quiet rude and I was taken back. We are seniors and we needed to get out of the store and go home. I wonder do you teach your employees to treat the bread and butter of your business to act that way. There is a Dollar General right next door that we frequent as well and we have NEVER been treated that way. I understand loosing my business well neither make you are break you but if you treat enough customers with that attitude you will feel the effects from it. You have a lot of competition out here.

Dollar General employee "silvia" from store #17090

This lady is accusing and chatting to everyone saying my son stole a wallet which was left behind by customer which he returned personally to customer . This lady is racist and byast towards my children and me which we are the best customers of this store.My older son went today 9-5-17 in the morning and felt uncomfortable when SILVIA was just following him asking him questions and telling him his brother had stolen a wallet

Dollar General racism by store manager in boston, ga

I visited dollar general in Boston, ga store over the weekend from out of town. As I was shopping I couldn't find what I was looking for so I ask this lady which was biracial herself and to find out was the manager what isle was the medicine on and the manager she tells me it isn't like you don't know where anything is you come in here all the time so I explained to her that I'm from Florida I'm just passing through and decided to grab some things and I must have a twin because I'm not from here . So I asked her again will she show me where the medicine isle at again and she told me no she's busy which she wasn't she was talking about her personal life to another employee. After she told me no I walked away calm to the counter to pay for my things i did have i waited there for five minutes and no one still haven't came and checked me out so i walked back to isle that the manager and her employee was standing at still talking and ask could one of them check me out and the manager says to me yeah because I'm ready for you to get out of my store. They follow behind me to the counter so they can ring me up and as the employee was ringing me up I heard the manager tell the employee if she wasn't mixed and all the way black she will go get her gun out of her truck and shoot me because she don't like crackers and her mom is white. When I heard her tell her employee that about me I asked the manager what was her name and she turned her badge around and said for what but before she turned her badge around I caught the first 3 LETTERS OF her name which was cyn and her employee didn't have on a badge. That was my worst shopping experience shopping at a dollar general in Georgia and the manager doesn't need to be working there after she threatened to shoot me and called me a cracker . Something needs to be done about this and in will be calling corporate on her.

Dollar General credit card machine malfunction 9/3/17.

Purchased items at that store on Sunday 9/3/17. Credit card charge $39.40., Everything ok but on Monday 9/4/17 two unauthorized charges on my card for $39.40, the same exact amount from dollors general store where credit card machine malfunctioned with my card on Sunday 9/3/17. Respond please emeadiatly That money was for food now I'm broke because machine malfunction at ur store don't let me down, respond quickly please thank you Charles H SCHULTZ.

Dollar General store environment, lack of cleanliness, clutter

I regularly visit the Dollar General on North Military rd in Lawrenceburg. This has to be the dirtiest, most cluttered store I have ever been in. The store definitely is not ADA compliant. There are totes, boxes and carts in the isles throughout the store. There is no way that a person in a wheelchair or one that uses a walker can safely maneuver in the store let alone a customer with no mobility issues. I will start planning my trips better so I can go to a nicer location.

Dollar General digital coupon and customer service

I went to dollar General today because I downloaded the app well being new to the whole couponing with digital I followed all coupons getting exactly what was stated well my coupons wouldn't work so I tried showing the coupon to cashier she wouldn't even look saying she has nothing to do with it mind you manager was standing right there and nobody once offered to help so I ended up paying full price so looks like I'll go back to family dollar where they actually treat there customers with respect it's a shame to treat customers like this

I have taken the 3.dollar survey and have the coupon sent to my email. Since I can not print it out (though I can show the code to the cashier from my phone ), they refuse to key it in stating they need the coupon. So WHY can they not just key in the coupon code? debbienunemaker@hotmail.com

Dollar General racism by store management, customer service

One of the reasons I was excited to move into my neighborhood is because there is a Dollar General in walking distance from my house. It is convenient to go there for everyday needs. Sadly yesterday I had to tell my kids they couldn't go to that store any longer.
When I was sitting in the lot waiting for my dude to come out the store. There was some yelling and I looked up to see a black women going to her car and the store manager an old heavyset white woman was yelling at her and taking video of the lady on her cellphone. I didn't know what was going on but that black lady (customer) called her a white [censor] and White store manager yells out You n[censor]! Me being a black woman did not like that. I was like Hey you don't have to call her that. The white store manager said "Yes I do!" So I went in the store and told my dude, "Put that back, we are not buying from here." The the manager starts taking pictures of me. I asked her to not take pictures of me. She continues. I asked to see her phone she tells me I'm not getting her phone. She tells me she is the manager and can do what she wants. The way I feel the store cameras have that right not her. Please have her erase my pictures. She said I was telling her customers not to buy from there. I told my dude not to but from get because she is a racist and I will go to the other side of town before I take my business to get dollar General.
I work in customer service. If I call my customers oit of their name or display racist remarks or actions I would be fired. The lady in Jacksonville Arkansas at the store on JP loop and military needs to loose her job. All other employees need to take classes on how to treat their customers and how to handle different situations they may occur at their stores or in life. Employees are hekd to a higher standard tgan customers. Neither person was right. But the representative of Dollar General did a Very Poor job.

Dollar General employee and in-store customer service

I visited my local neighborhood Dollar General location #13962,
3510 N. Decatur Rd, Scottdale, GA 30079; on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at approximately 11:00 am. When I arrived I saw a young lady standing right outside the door entrance with her phone in hand, speaking with another adult woman. I proceeded to enter to purchase 2 items. Once I arrived at the register, there was one worker handling a line of about 5 others. I noticed these were the same patrons that were standing in line when I entered the establishment. However, the worker (an older woman) made a mistake with an elder man's purchase and needed to get I guess a return handled. She had already taken at least close to 10 mins with one customer. When she told the gentleman that he would have to get a return, she started yelling for another employee (literally yelling her name thru the store). She called out maybe 5 times, before the same young lady I saw standing outside of the doors came slowly walking in. No since of urgency, and she was outside for at least 15 minutes, the time it took me to arrive, look for my items and stand in line and watch the line only grow longer.

I found out that the young lady's name was Kia. She handled the return at a separate register and called for the next customer. At this point I was completely astonished at the level of professionalism. These ladies, ESPECIALLY Kia, are the worst customer interactions I've experienced! I unfortunately had my items rang in by Kia and had to deal with a poor attitude, lack of professionalism and friendliness. I'm assuming she has either been with the company for a while and/or has a tier to be able to handle something the other employee couldn't, but I can't believe she is in her position. From the moment I entered the store to leaving, was just a very poor experience. I visit Dollar General locations all the time and I am very disappointed at the lack of care and rudeness I have experienced at this location.

There are a couple employees there that are very friendly and know how to handle their guest service, but please do something about the bad seeds. Kia is a bad seed. She doesn't smile, she's rude and she should NOT be the face customers should interact with. I'm not looking for credit or any rewards...just some type of disciplinary action. An employee should not be standing in front of the doors in full uniform with there phone, while another is getting slammed and having other customers wait in line for over 10 mins. No one in line had more than 10 items...there is no way we should have to deal with the lack of urgency and rudeness we encountered!

Dollar General closing store before the close of business

Saturday night around 10:39 I arrived to the dollar general in Summerton, SC on 30 South Church St and the doors were locked. The sign clearly said open until 11:00. As I walked to the door before knowing that the doors were locked The cashier walks to the door unlocking it to let another shopper out. I asked if they were closed and she said yes my manager called and said that we had to close early. I asked if I could "please" come on to get a cup for my sick baby I even offered to give more money for the cup and she still turned away my service. I called back to ask for a manager and the "manager" says that they were closing early for security purposes. I've seen where this store stayed open until closing after being robbed and even have the police come monitor. I had to go an extra 45 min out my way to get to Wal-Mart for a cup that I could have easily gotten for my son here. This is terrible. First, it's been said that the computers I down right at closing and now you're falsely advertising your hours of operation. I am a loyal customer who's been mistreated and let down by this company too many times.

Dollar General customer service

I would like for someone to please contact me. I have called about a month ago about an employee yelling at me and i never received a call. I decided to go back few weeks later to a manager refuses my coupon. I need someone to contact me because seems to me that the district manager or area do not care about his or her customers. I have been an angry customer and was told that when a complaint is made that someone is suppose to call you within 48 hours. Is this how dollar general treats their customers because if so I will just stop shopping and spending my money and take my business else where. I have called the customer service number let my information and even filled out a survey and left my contact information still nothing.

Dollar General renuzit solid air freshener

I am a weekly shopper at Dollar General store 12496 in Macon, Ga.
I was in your store today and tried to purchase renuzit solid air freshner. I had a coupon for $1.50 off 2 air freshner. The coupon could only be redeemed at Dollar General. It clearly stated that if the coupon did not scan the cashier (Laveta) had to type in a code that was on the coupon. She refused and she told me it wouldn't scan. She never tried to type in anything and had a bad attitude when I asked for my coupons back. I did let her know that she would be reported. I never try to get anyone in trouble, but I just felt like your company needed to know what terrible customer service skills your employees have.

Dollar General employee

Employee named Nina was being rude i told my wife she was being rude and Nina said, " i know im rude and i dont care or maybe ur just sensitive today." My wife told her "stop talking to her like that." Nina then said, " whatever i can say what i want and shes being sensitive today i dont care if im rude." Cashier named Nina then shoved everything we bought into one bag and it was ripping i had to grab another bag to keep my items from falling on the floor! She was very rude and disrespectful!

Dollar General store refused to sell product for the price they had posted in store

I visited Dollar General Store #06410, at 7846 NC Highway 801 S, PO Box 190, Cooleemee, NC 27014, this evening (Sept. 1, 2017). I came to purchase soda, this store had a sticker on shelf advertising 6 pack Pepsi and Mountain Dew Bottles (16oz) 5/$10. I took 5 6 packs of Mountain Dew to the register to purchase, however when Jim rang them up the total was wrong. I stated "you have them advertised on the shelf as 5/$10", he said ok I will go look, he returned shortly stating where did I see that? And that he didn't see it. So I went back with him and pointed out the sticker on the shelf. When he saw the sticker he immediately pulled it off the shelf and concealed it in his pocket and stated that he couldn't sell them for that price, that they aren't on sale anymore. The law states that if you have a product advertised in store for a certain price, you have to sell that product to the customer for that price. I have worked in customer service for 20+ years and have always stood by this policy. He had the manager come up and remove 4 of the 6 packs because I stated that I wasn't going to purchase 5 of them gir $3.50 each when they were advertised 5/$10 when i took them off the shrlf to purchase. Very disappointed. Your stores need retrained on this policy, apparently they think it's ok to pull advertised prices off the shelf in front of a customer and tell them their not going to sell the product to them for the advertised price.

Dollar General bad quality

I am complaining because there is a guy working that is really unprofessional because he's always on his phone or using his headphones and the lady that's in charge there's always like screaming out for help in the back row so they can help her but the guy in the front doing nothing just on his ear and music on his headphones is never listens to her because he can't hear her and he is very unprofessional because he has he gives the customers a bad attitude and last time I went he was really mean to all of us

Dollar General new store conditions

8/31/2017
We have a new Dollar General store located at 15667 E. Airline Highway, Norco LA. The store just opened maybe about a month or so ago. Several people including myself have seen the exterior trash and baskets all over the parking lot, the grass is overgrown and not maintained.
The inside of the store always has stock carts everywhere. You can't walk on certain isles due to them being blocked.
The previous location was congested and was the same. We thought the new store would be kept up nicer and roomier.
Please have someone look into the keeping up of this store. It is on a main highway and does not make a good representation for the Norco area.

Dollar General an employee getting special treatment

An employee at the 2394 store in North Wilkesboro is getting special treatment because she is dating the bosses son. They work together, she leaves early whenever he works and she doesn't do her job well whenever he's around. If he's not around, then she's traveling to his store or another store and everyone else has to pick up the slack. I understand as a key holder it's our responsibility but it's also the responsibility of the store manager to prove an ethical job where favorites are not chosen. The other coworkers have been complaining about it and the store manager refuses to do anything since it's her son. Also, we're all worried about if we complain too much she will fire us as it has happened in the past. I've debated posting this for quite some time because I don't need my job to become in jeaporady but enough is enough. It's highly unethical, unprofessional and very biased how she's treating us at this store except the one dating her son. If you ask around the employees they will tell you exactly what I'm telling you because we're all very fed up with it.

Dollar General ethics, and communication.

We here at DG, In BELLS, TENNESSEE.
Need assistance in mgmt. And someone to hear us. Never had I seen a mess like this, in awhile. There are entirely to many employees, in this one store, the hours are not scheduled correctly and not fair. Why would someone that's work for competition get more hours, than someone else, that needs them. Mgmt. are scheduled a number of hours, and still freight is not done, sale tags are constantly passed, pull dates. Ppl are in the wrong place, at wrong times. Why keep hiring ppl, when you already have us there, to work the hours. Why can't everyone have hours, on a rotation. Therefore people, would stay longer, if treated right. To much of a turnover at DG. Help to make it great. Get mgmt. training, and he needs to cut out the respected person, deal and treat everyone the Same.

Dollar General dollar store

The dollar general store in my area is a disaster. Everyone complains about it yet nothing is being done. When the truck comes it’s even worse. merchandise is always in the way where you can’t find what your looking for. Obvisouly the store is understafffed and something needs to be done about it. This store and majority of the stores in my area take no pride in their work except for the store in Slaughter is the best. Would you please do something about this ? I wouldn’t be surprised if something falls on a small child in this store. See attached photos. On the other hand the employees are very nice and helpful they just need some help in organizing and cleaning this mess up!

Dollar General unable to obtain copy of receipt from purchase needed to obtain refund from another source

I have a serious problem, and I need your assistance.

On 4/24/17, I used my debit card to purchase 2 Vanilla gift cards in order to buy a laptop online. The laptop did not meet my needs, and I returned it to Telikin at the end of July. At that time, I requested that they remit my refund to my PERSONAL credit card instead of Vanilla cards because I believed the cards to be non-refillable. Unfortunately, I discarded the gift cards when they had a zero balance and do not have a copy of the store receipt for them.

When I had not received my $800 refund from Telikin in what I considered to be a reasonable time, I called them, and was informed that they had, indeed, sent my $800 refund back to Vanilla.

When I talked to Vanilla, they had received my refund from Telikin, but were unable to send me a new gift card containing my $800 refund because I do not have the numbers of the cards I purchased. I gave them the last 4 digits, which was all the information I was able to get from Telikin, but they said that they cannot locate my info without the full 16 digit card numbers.

Vanilla informed me that they would send me a new card with the balance owed to me, but that I needed to provide them with the store receipt in order to do so.

I have been unable to obtain a copy of the receipt of 4/24/17 in the amount of $1034.32 because the store manager told me that they have no way to print duplicate receipts. I attempted to contact Wayne Faircloth, the area general manager, for assistance, but he did not return my phone call.

Please help me. I am on a fixed income, and need that $800 to pay my mortgage next month. I will greatly appreciate any assistance you can give me in this very serious matter.

This underscores the importance of keeping good records. You have a computer so the next step is to learn how to use Spreadsheets. Obtain a copy of Open Office and learn how to use Calc. You can then use a spreadsheet to track your credit cards and finances. This will also aid you at tax time as you'll have access to records.

GI I PERSONALLY BOUGHT A MY VANILLA CARD AT A DOLLAR GENERAL IN HOUSTON TEXAS THE VANILLA COMPANY IS ASKING FOR MY RECEPIT TO WHICH I HAVE NO MORE. IN ORDER FOR THEN TO ACTIVATE MY CARD. HELP PLEASE

Dollar General poor management

Was in Atchison, Kansas store today Must have gotten truck in yesterday. All aisles blocked with product couldn't get thru or even get to shelves. Employees standing around visiting with each other. No one was even attempting to put merchandise on shelf. Other times they are outside visiting and smoking sitting in front of store. Why don't you hire extra help on truck days an get product put up. A lot of elderly people shop at this store and someone is going to get hurt with aisle being blocked
