Dollar General redbox

I have suggested to the store manager many times that his store needs a "Redbox"... Every time he has stated that he's working on it but there doesn't seem to be any progress in getting one in our store.. There's a DG 10 miles up the road and they have one! Our store at Derma, Mississippi needs one.. Would someone please look into this and get us a REDBOX... Thank You!

Dollar General employee/manager's bad attitude.

I went into my local dollar general to get super glue this morning. I found some Loctite super glue stock at the front priced at $2. I placed it on the counter and the cashier said it was $3.25. I asked if that was right because it is priced $2. She said she can't change the price. I pointed to the display. She checked it and said it was for super glue, which was clearly marked on the product packaging. She became very rude, insisting what I had was not glue but gel. She then said it was stocked wrong, she can't change the price, do I want it or not. I took my money and left. I went back to complain to the manager and found out she is the manager! I asked why she had been so rude and was told she was not being rude. I just don't think a customer should be treated in such a manner. It was not my fault that the item was stocked in the wrong area. I chose an item and figured it was priced correctly. This happened today, 6/16/17 at the store in Noel, MO. The manager's name is Dawn. She really needs to be able to work with the public with some respect.

Dollar General disorderly store

I walked into my neighborhood dollar General to get baby food, toilet paper and dog food. As I went to the far aisle(carrying a baby on my hip) to get baby food there was a mound of inventory overflowing from two buggies parked side by side in the aisle entrance. I had to move both buggies to pass. After I moved the first mound, I then had to move a stack of boxes to get to the baby food which come to find out...was never stocked on the shelf. I decided to forget about the baby food and get toilet paper. When I got to the back of the store there were these tall roll around dollies that were also stacked full of boxes. The dollies lined the entire back wall. I couldn't get to the second item I needed, so I decided to forget it to. After I pushed around the dollies I decided to squeeze into the gardening aisle and by pass the rest of the enormous obstacle. Once again another buggie mounded with inventory was in the way. When I squeezed around that buggy I bumped it and almost all the inventory hit the floor. It startled me so I stepped back. That one step caused a domino effect with all the watering cans. They feel all over me and my 5 month old baby. Not the first employee came to help out or even check where the noise came from. I just grabbed the buggie and kicked all the watering can to the side in a small pile. I rolled the buggie up front and left. I thought to myself...maybe a truck delivered today and they were short staffed. So I returned 2 days later for the dog food. And guess what...the store was still in a huge mess. Tried one more time for dog food. Walked down the aisle and saw an elderly woman having to break open boxes to get cat food! This is ridiculous. This store has lost my whole families business. Someone from corporate needs to make a surprise appearance over there and fast.

Dollar General manager

The Dollar General in Corsicana Tx on 7th there was a sell for apparel yellow. Buy one get one free when you got to the counter and checked out both items were ringing up full price when I brought it to her attention she told me that there were no signs for that sale so I walked her back there showed her the sign she pulled it down said" well that sells ended, I walked back here personally and make sure there was no more sale signs up."so she pretty much called me a liar like I found the sign and stuck it up or that's the way she made it me feel I've worked in retail before so I know they're supposed to honor their sales if they left their seals hugs up but she left it as I put it up and she wouldn't going to honor it.

Dollar General store closing at 6pm on a tuesday

My husband was shopping at the store near 50th and State Ave. Kansa City, Kansas, today, 06/13/2017, just before 6pm. The associate there said he was the last customer, as they were closing early. This hjas happened before in the past. Can't the district managers find anyone that can be at, and do their job? If not, just close it, all together. It has been a mess since it was built. The store is un-orginized and un-stocked and the parking lot is always litered. Please fix the issues and accomendate the comunity it is in, otherwise...Why be there?

Dollar General sign light not working

The dollar general located at Moffett Road and Central Boulevard is what store I am referring to. The sign light has not worked for several months. This makes the parking lot darker and I do not feel safe going to the store after dark. The parking lot also has areas where the markings to turn in and turn out are worn off. This makes a hazard for a possible wreck. We are frequent customers in fact almost daily. Please have someone come out and fix these things. Thanks!

Dollar General the store

I am an avid Dollar General shopper. I currently just moved from Patterson, LA to Berwick, LA. The Dollar Store #13678 located @ 4790 Hwy 182, Berwick, LA is a disgrace. I have shopped at many other Dollar General's and never seen such incompetence in regards to stocking. The shelves, as well as the frozen sections are almost always bare. Considering that this particular Dollar Store is supposed to be convenient for the consumers in our area, it is sad to hear that most Berwick residents shop elsewhere due to the lack of products being stocked. I much rather go to The Dollar General than anywhere else, especially since it is in a very convenient location, but recently have had to switch to another store to avoid the incompetence at this store. I now have to go out of my way to shop for needed items, but I feel I should not have to if this DG store were ran correctly. I feel that new management would make a big difference, and be of great help to the residents in Berwick, LA.

Dollar General employees

Today on June 12, 2017 my husband was asked to leave dollar general because him and a friend stopped to say hi to each other in the store. If this is truly your policy, you should make sure to ask all the elderly people that go in there and talk constantly to also leave! He was very embarrassed and very angry! The employees are always rude in that store! Will have to find somewhere else to shop!

Dollar General bad attitude

6/10/2017 I went inside my local dollar general & was refused service because it was 9:49pm & they close at 10:00pm. I waited at the register for about 6 min until someone came to help & then they said sorry we are about to close.
This was uncaused for ! The worker's name was Nina. She saw me at the register for the longest while i waited for her. I was buying cigarettes so i had to wait until someone came behind the register to get them. I remember the time because i was in a rush to get there. I feel like they should of locked the doors if they were going to refuse service . I would like justice maybe a suspension because now i don't even want to spend my money there. & its the only local store i go to for my daily needs.

Sorry Katherine but that entire store is a joke. I'm pretty sure one of the young employees come in high everyday.. Forget his name. They never can remember where anything is... They also scam their employees by letting certain people buy bulks of items for the price of 1 item. I wouldn't be shocked if a big scandal hit them soon . SAD really. I suggest you shop in the DG's around Marianna. Way more professional atmosphere.

Dollar General rude behavior from manager

Today, 06/10/2017, I was attempting to make a tax exempt purchase from the Dollar General in Buckner Mo. The first associate was unable to complete the transaction, stating that she had only done one such transaction previously. She stepped to the back and asked the employee sitting back there for assistance. I am assuming this person was a manager of some type. It is hard to know for sure because the turnover rate is very high at our local Dollar General.

The manager/second associate asked me to step to another register so she could assist me, which was very reasonable. She began entering the information from the tax exempt form that I had presented. There were no phone numbers listed on the form for the church that holds the tax exempt status. I was unable to provide the phone number for the church because I do not have the number. I do not own a cell phone or have a home phone. There is no possible way that I could stand there in line and provide a number. I am sure I could have made something up but I instead chose to tell the associate that I couldn't get the number. I asked if she had a phone book to look the number up or if she could google the number. The manager got an attitude with me, stated that she didn't have a phone book and didn't have her phone and wouldn't look up the number. I was surprised with her attitude but politely informed her that I didn't need her products and that I would go to another store, probably the Dollar General in Odessa because they have always been able to help me. I was not rude. I didn't yell. I didn't curse. I simply stated the above. She told me to leave 'her' store and that I was being rude. I said I wasn't being rude but she told me I was being very rude and told me to leave.

I have never before been asked to leave a store. I am horrified that this associate thought I should be forced to leave, especially since to the best of my knowledge and belief I hadn't done anything to warrant being kicked out. I hadn't raised my voice, cussed, thrown a hissy fit or in any way acted out. I simply had asked if they could help me provide a phone number that was needed to complete a tax exempt transaction since I had no means of providing the number on my own. Instead of a polite response I was met with rudeness. I responded in a normal tone of voice and attitude that I would just go elsewhere. I really don't think that being kicked out of the store was in any way shape or form an appropriate response.

If possible I would like the tapes of the cashwrap area to be reviewed. If I was out of line in my actions or words I would like to know so that I may apologize to the associate.

thank you for your help

Lisa Postlethwait

Dollar General store 15601 store manager

Someone needs to look into this so called Manager, she is rarely there, doesn't work any nights and Everytime I'm in the store she is always talking about her employees being lazy and threatening to fire them, when they are the only one working all the time, she schedules them 11 till close, when in fact she doesn't pull shifts like that she's gone by 4pm the latest. If it wasn't for her employees nothing would get done. They do there work and hers. She needs to reevaluate her self. Managers are on salary and she sure doesn't deserve hers she cheating that system all the way and laughing all the way to the bank. The employees need the bonuses not her they deserve it. It's sad these employees and customers have to listen to her belittle her employees. Very Poor Unprofessional.

Dollar General employee behavior and work responsibility

Store #03221

Yesterday my fiancé and I were in dollar general which is normal we are regular customers. The gal who was running register. Apparently did not scan 2 items that were in front of her 1 was placed on counter and the other was in my fiances hand. I found this out by going in this morning to get some meds for my son. As I was checking out another employee who I have never seen and the cashier from day before set the blistex in front of me asking if I planned on paying for that. I was obviously puzzled and then asked if it wasnt scanned yesterday. She then said "no you walked out without paying for that or the mtn dew. " I think said i apologized and told them i would pay for both no problem. I was then told I was banned along with my fiancé from all dollar general's for stealing.

The day this happened
We just cashed my fiances check.
Cash is never an issue. We don't steal.
The 3 items we had were
Cigarettes
20 oz mtn dew (was being drank but I believe was placed on counter)
Blistex ( I personally placed on counter then picked up when leaving.)

The cashier NEVER stopped us or said anything. We didn't even realize a difference or i would have went back. The store wasnt busy so I'm unsure of why this wasnt addresses when it happened. Or why the cashier didn't ask to scan the pop or bother to scan the blistex . AGAIN THESE WERE IN FRONT OF HER. I do understand that the drink shouldn't have been opened. But scanning all items is her job. Why are we banned? The lady who told me we were banned also argued with me on watching the video saying I had it in my hand the entire time. THAT'S NOT CORRECT. 1 of the 2 items were actually paid for today at my morning visit when I made another purchase. We weren't trying to steal. And don't think this should have happened at all. I would like to speak with someone about this.

Dollar General parking lot

Ripley, TN

The parking lot at this store is in a general state of disrepair. There are potholes too numerous to count and the parking spaces are not clearly delineated, especially along the sides of the lot and in the center. Patrons are parking haphazardly, often times not allowing appropriate space for other vehicles to travel safely around the lot. This lot has been in this condition for a few years and only continues to deteriorate.

Dollar General employee

Hi, I am writing this because Everytime I visit the Clementon, NJ location on Berlin Rd. 08021, the employee is always extremely rude and treats my husband's and I like Theives! She is about 5' 10" - 5' 11" tall, long brown hair in pony tail with tattoo on her neck! We shop at this store every single day, weather it be for allergy medications, to drinks, to clothing and heigiene products from the minute we walk in the door till the second we leave she stalks us! We have never done anything wrong in any store let alone this store and she singles us out every time...she will come move 1 item where we are standing stare at us and go away, but follows us to every isle! It's rediculous! She makes extremely rude and uncalled comments to other employees such as how "somebody better come take over my register before she [censor] snaps the [censor] out" with 5 people in her line...she over charged me for my clothes today...it was buy one get one free as long as tgey had yellow dots, argued with me and said that it was buy one get one half off, I had bought two clothing items with the same deal yesterday, she argued with me and refused to fix the problem and said "it is what it is" I am a loyal and reliable shopper at this location but if this continues and the problem with her is not dealt with accordingly, I will make sure everyone around here knows and also make sure that nobody shops here! I don't appreciate having my $$ snatched out of my hand!

Dollar General store manager

My name is Staff Sergeant Carson. Today on June 8th I took an emergency call as I was backing out of a parking spot and was almost hit while on my motorcycle by the store manager because she wanted a particular spot in front. I went in to ask for the manager and the same person that almost hit me was the store manager Tammy Stamford 18425 US-171 Rosepine LA 70659. She was very rude and disrespectful all over a parking spot. I was in uniform and took this type of attitude from a store manager and did not get any time of resolution from her behavior. I intend on discussing this with the public newspaper if the issue is t resolved.

Dollar General manager harassing customers

My niece went to dollar general in florence Arizona. It was 5 minutes till closing. The lady working whos name is Linda told my nice that she does not have to keep the store open until the closing time that is posted. She told my niece that she had less than 2 minutes to get what she needed. She went in for a simple bag of shredded cheese. My niece was in there 30 seconds. Linda followed her to the back where the cheese is kept telling her she needed to hurry up and that she does not have to let her buy it and that she does not have to keep the store open until the posted closing time. The entire time this woman was extremely rude and harrasing her she was in there. She was in the store less that 2 minutes. No one deserves to be treated that way and someone needs to make sure that the job is being done correctly. If you cannot be a professional when working in customer service then you should find another job where individuals are not being harassed because they needed one small ingredent to finish dinner with. This behavior is completely unacceptable.

Dollar General service

I stopped to buy my local Dollar General store, #12206, to buy a few last minute items for the night. As I pulled up, not out of my car yet, a store employee stood inside the door and waived me and other customers who were pulling up and in their cars off saying they were closed. She gestured with waves and the cut across the neck signal. I looked at the time and it was 8:50. So I thought I completely missed closing and the store closed at 8pm. I got out of my car to take a look at the posted store hours sign to see what time the store closed but there were no postings to tell me what time. As I looked I could here the people inside say what is she looking for and a response of the store hours. I asked the lady standing inside what time do you close and with an annoyed tone and very rude body language she said "Now!" My complaint is not only that the store closed early since it should close at 9pm but also the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the staff. There could be a number of reasons for closing early but regardless of the reason there is never an excuse for rudeness and poor customer service.
