Dollar General the manager at sylvan springs/mulga store

I was in the store and the Manager Dean had opened the register to check out customers and when I got in line he looked at me and told me the register was closed so I went to the other register that Deb was running and he continued checking customers out and even looked at others and said I can check someone out over here, he is Rude, Disrespectful, and yes before you ask I use to work there and was wrongfully fired so maybe you need to rethink your employees and managers at your stores. This complaint has nothing to do with him firing me either.

Dollar General michelobe ultra

Michelob ultra was in the wrong place in the cooler under the price of $9.50. The store manager, denise, however would not sell it for that price even though it was their fault for wrong placement and advertisement. This is poor customer service. Im a senior associate in the retail industry and instead of trying to make the customer happy she came out with an attitude. The entire cooler was misplaced. I have a photo as proof.

Well, genius, since you're a retail senior associate, you would know that is not a DG sign but a Family Dollar one. Idiot.

Dollar General manager and horrible customer service

I've been going to this store in De Leon Springs for quite some time now. I always feel rushed & as if I'm causing a problem. I've worked in customer service my entire life. I honestly go for convenience when I really am in need of something. I will drive out of my way to go to one further bc this guy is always a complete a-hole. He always has a puss on his face & rude. Never smiles, greets or anything. Iva sat up front at the register waiting many times bc he's "too busy" to attend to customers making purchases. No wonder there isn't any staff there. I wouldn't work with a grump like that if my life depended on it!God forbid if you need to ask where something is located. Now, I totally get that people have bad days here & there. But I've given him the benefit of doubt many many times & he continues to be obnoxiously rude. I hope someone reprimands him or makes him aware at least of his behavior.

Dollar General sales associate at dollar general on garth rd in baytown, tx

I went to the Dollar General and got what I needed, while I was walking to the cssh register and employee walked up to me and hugged me and said, "My names Steven."
I didn't know this man and I'm also a female minor so I just found the entire situation inappropriate and it made me feel very uncomfortable. After this experience I don't even want to go to Dollar General stores anymore.

Hi my names is James Navarro,
I went to the store today to get some dog food. I walked into the store and asked the employee, where do you keep the dog food. I attempted to get he attention, by waving my hand in the air. She finally looked. She was on the phone stated she was busy. This was about three min of me waiting. She's stated it's down the end. When I walked up to the counter she was still on the phone. About five min into this she notice me and didn't even attempt to approach. She came up and stated she was busy. I didn't like the service nor the fact she ignored me this was about 9:15 AM. Dollar General okawville il dollar general

This is a small town grateful for this store and the wonderful employees there, but the cooling system has NEVER been sufficient enough to cool this store! It is too HOT to shop so I feel for the miserable conditions the employees have there! No one deserves to WORK... unloading and stocking in this heat. It's 100 degrees here all week and FANS do NOT cool! They blow hot air! Please fix this store so we can leisurely shop!

Dollar General pod for load delivered to facility

Today I called Terry Gordon, Accounts Payable Supervisor and he was not nice at all! I have been calling for a week straight leaving voicemails for him to call me because our driver lost his paperwork for a load we delivered to the Scottsville, KY branch of Dollar General. I called that facility and they referred me to him. I called back today and he actually changed his voicemail to say...their new policy is to not provide a proof of delivery for any freight carriers. So instead of him calling me back from the detailed messages I left, he simply changed his voicemail. I have been in transportation for a while and if you don't know already...things happen and drivers lose paperwork. Mr. Gordon began to question me and ask me what my driver did with his paperwork. Hello, Captain Obvious, if I knew I would not have called to ask for a copy. It definitely makes more work for me also trying to track it down but this is part of transportation. I can understand how it is frustrating on their end also, however, the broker will get paid for the load and we are just out 750.00. The brokers can get copies of the paperwork but not the people whom actually hauled it. So, in conclusion, I recommend Dollar General make some changes regarding this policy and their "Supervisor."

Dollar General I was hired for a job on june 8th then fired before I even started

Hi my name is Lisa Dulac I went for a interview on June 8th was hired for a part time job at 1237 W. main st Monongahela Pa 15063.I completed the paperwork on line on the 9th. Terri Pelczar and I discussed on June 16th that I come in on Thursday June 22nd to do my CBL's she said she wouldn't be there and she was going to have another staff member set up the program for me. I came in at the time we discussed at 4pm and the girl that was working called her to see what she needed to do. When they spoke Terri told her she terminated me because she called me several times on Tuesday June 20th to come in to complete my CBL's and I never received one phone call. I asked her what number she called I checked my phone records when I got home. She never called. Can I get this termination off my public records because I still don't understand why or how all this happened. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my ordeal.

Dollar General service

I went to Dollar General 00036 in Albany, Georgia on 07/19/2017 at 4:53. I wanted to return a pair of sandals and a shirt. I had my receipt. The manager on duty scanned my receipt and I saw that my shirt rung up for 3.75. I told her I paid 6.25 for the shirt. She told me she had to give me what it rung for. I informed her that I was not taking that amount and I have a receipt that clearly has what I paid for it. She told me I don't have anything to do with that. It is corporate. I informed her that I have brought back something before and another manager did an override for the price I paid. She says, who did that. She was not suppose to do that. This woman does not need to work with customers. She was very rude to me. I apologized to the customer behind me for this inconvenience to them because she did not care. I asked for the 1-800 number and she told me it was in the office and I can go online to get it. Where did you all get her from? Who does that? I have worked with the public for over 25 years and this is no way to address a customer. She did the refund again and I told her that she was giving me too much money back. I told her I would not take anything that does not belong to me. She got agitated with me. She rung it up again. I pulled out my debit card to put it back on the card. She stated I will just give you the money. She wanted to get rid of me, but I was not the one at fault. She was. I gave her my name twice and she still spelled it wrong and put the wrong last name. She did not give me her full attention because my name is Konya Anderson and not Kenya Walker. I will never go into #00036 again. There are other Dollar General stores that I can go to. This really needs to be address. I have never agreed with the customer is always right, but in this case what is the receipt for if I cannot get what I paid. The receipt has [protected]:53:[protected] at the bottom

Dollar General no customer service

I went to one of the local stores today since I live about 4 blocks from the store. I find it convenient for making small purchases like milk, eggs, etc... Today, however, was a whole different story. I have been in retail, restaurant, and property management for the last 23 years and if one of my employees treated a customer like this, they would be standing in the unemployment line.

I went in to purchase a couple of things and stood in line like I usually do. This seems to be a regular practice of only having one cashier on duty. I placed my merchandise on the belt and waited patiently. I noticed the employee was not the friendliest (he never is) and seemed to be in a hurry. When it was finally my time, he saw the $20 bill in my hand and said, "Oh I don't think I can check you out. I don't think I have enough fives in the drawer. Darius. Can you check him out? I don't think I have enough fives in my drawer." At this point I said "I'll just take my things over there." Mind you, I said this very quietly--not yelling or raising my voice--but sarcastically enough for him to know I was not happy. He made a comment to the fact that I went to another cashier to which I turned and politely said, "I was being sarcastic." He obviously didn't pick up on it the first time.

As Darius was checking me out, I simply asked what his manager's name was. He told me her name was Karen so I asked when she was usually there. At this point, the other cashier, (who asked me to move) Told the cashier to kick me out of the store for being rude. Last I checked, I had that right although I was NOT being rude. Do I not have the right to ask for a manager's name? I asked him why he was kicking me out to which he replied that i was "sarcastic." Well, obviously he would not have known that had I not pointed that out to him. I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was gone for the day.

I left the store with merchandise in hand since Darius had already rang me up and sat in my car as I called corporate office to lodge a complaint. During that time, Darius came out of the store to "count the cars" in the lot. It was a poor attempt to see if I was still out there and if I was calling someone.

Unfortunately, this is the only employee that I have ever had trouble with. He always seems unapproachable while everyone else will smile and make small talk with me. He just complains about how hard his day is.

I would like to have a call back from the district manager but I am not holding my breath after reading the other complaints on here. As a multi-site manager myself, I would want to look into this and resolve the issue.

Dollar General re: digital coupons

Visited my local DG in Trion, Ga today and was not pleased. All advertised merchandise in the weekly paper was not advertised on the floor. When I asked the store manager why there were no discount prices marked on the merchandise she claimed there was no sale on anything. Then ask about the advertisement in the paper and she told me that the sell was not until the 20th when it clearly advertises it to begin on the 16th and she threw a box down in the floor. I put this stuff that I had already gathered back on the self and then left the store I will not be visiting this store again. I do understand the digital coupons may be aggravating for the employees but if that's what you are offering your employees need to understand that it is not the consumer's fault.

Dollar General service

This is the second time I'm making a complaint about the staff at the Dollar General in Marshfield Missouri. The staff is not willing to help you find anything your looking for and the worst one is the assistant manager she is very rude and disrespectful. I just needed help finding a certain laundry detergent and she acted like I was asking her to kill someone. She didn't want to seem to help anyone in the store or do anything but mess her phone. If she continues to do this I will take my business elsewhere.

Dollar General unprofessional behavior from store manager

I've been a regular customer at the Dollar General on 180 Church Street in Westernport, MD, since moving to the area several years ago. However, due to the consistently rude and unprofessional behavior from the store's manager, Peggy, I will now be taking my business elsewhere. I'm not usually one to file complaints, but when I called the store today (7/18/2017) and was treated with a very unprofessional and snide response, that was the last straw.

A family member of mine is a former employee of the store, and Peggy apparently can't separate her personal feelings from her conduct while serving customers. Shortly after this family member's employment, she became unaccommodating to myself and my brother while we were shopping. It's progressed to the point where she is just downright rude to us. I can understand someone having a bad day, but this goes beyond that.

If Peggy can't manage to treat all of her customers decently, regardless of how she might feel about someone they're related to, then perhaps she is not suited for her position.

Dollar General manager changes schedule last minute

My daughter works at the dollar general on fuqua in Houston Texas. The manager never makes the schedules in time and always calls last minute to make changes to the schedule. I need corporate feed back on why the managers can do what they want when they want to.
I think this matter should be investigated. My daughter requested time off and it was approved by a key holder but then the manager decided that she was going to change the schedule.
