Dollar General manager attitude and rudeness

I was in the sherburn mn store and the manager on duty was rude to myself and customers and the venders in the store. And the store was dirty and filthy thru out the store and bathrooms. And not happy with this location and the staff. And a friend of mine was in the store doing some 3rd party work and the manager was rude to her and was telling she could only use black trash bage and nothing else. And has no customer service skills at all and needs to be talked to or written up.

I was in the Dollar general in Tracy mn and had very bad and rude service . I usually shop there from I moved from. And now I don't know if I will go back again and shop there. And the management staff was following me and my family thru the store while we tried to shop. I noticed and then we left cause I'm not gonna be stalked or deal with staff being rude and treating people with disrespect either. And why is the manager threatening some the people here in this town from others I have talked to here and alot of us are leaving town and moving g cause of the rude behavior from Dollar general employees.

Dollar General employee who refused service

Hey my name is Ashley Marioth, I went to the Ashville Ohio dollar general last night on 8/1/18. During the evenings I don't have a car because my husband works 2nd shift so he has the car with him to get to work an back. I had realize at 9:45 pm that I was down to 1 diaper for my son. So I hurry up an I literally ran all the way down to the dollar store. When I get there I notice a bunch of people walking up to the store an then turning around and walking back to there cars. When I got to the door this girl was literally standing in front of the door refusing to let people in. Mind you it wasn't 10 yet. I got there at 9:59. Now I know it was 1 min before closing but I begged her explaining to her that I ran all the way from Powell St to the dollar store an told her that I promised I just needed to get one thing an I would be very quick. She looks an me with this smirk on her face like she thought the situation was funny. Her an the girl at the cash register was smirking about the whole thing like they thought my situation was funny or something to them. She then looks at me an tells me no sorry. I then was like REALLY! I said come on it's not like I'm going to go full blown grocery shopping I just need to get one thing an I ran all the way here. She then pulls out her phone an looks at the time an of course yeah at that point it was 10 because I had been sitting there arguing with her for a good min or 2. I felt it was very rude an unprofessional, not very good customer service when technically when I got there it wasn't 10 yet. I don't feel she should be standing at the door at anytime before 10 keeping people from walking in an refusing service to them. That's making the company loose money. All she was caring about was herself, all she cared about was getting her shift over with. Didn't care at all about the fact that I don't have a car to drive down to Circleville to get diapers an that I ran all the way from my house to get there before they closed. When I could have simply got the diapers from the dollar store if she would have let me in. I wish I got her name but I didn't but I'm sure someone can find out who was closing that store on that date. Anyways I hope this message gets to the right person, I would greatly appreciate it because I think the company needs to know when that girl is closing what she is doing to customers. If I was the company I wouldn't want someone like that closing my store because she has no good customer service skills. I just don't feel it's right to stand at the door a min or 2
min before closing! There was still people in line too that they were servicing so what would it have hurt to let me get what I needed real quick? When there was people in the store still? Dollar General employee

As I enter the store the date of July 12th, 2018 around evening time, a employee black, male was out of conduct with me as the costumer. " HE YELLED ! " AND SAID YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID. Bryan Anthony Phillips as the costumer look very strange as I look he look directly at me. The employee and I look very difficult as I look with a misunderstanding. As the customer myself Bryan look and was going to continue to shop. He continue to yell made a scene with other customers. So I Told Him my name and said you know that I own this dollar general on and of Roosevelt Dr. In Little Rock, Arkansas so I escorted myself out and let him know I felt attack, went to the police sheriffs office use the phone made a statement saying that I was just banned from the police station. Don't know the cashier at all. Not familiar with him from the area of Arkansas. All and all I reported the employee in to the officers no idenfication was know the reason why I was terminated from my facility. I never felt threaten in my own State from anybody and especially an Native of Arkansas.

Dollar General store closed prior to what sign said

I was just at the location on kingshwy in Cape Girardeau, Mo. I arrived at 8:51 to find the door locked with employees inside. The sign on the door says they were open till 9 and I've been to 3 dg's prior only to find them out of the item I needed. I rushed to this one, only to find inconsiderate employees standing inside but refusing to open the door, even tho they were supposed to still be open. They turned and looked at me but turned back around and ignored me. This is no way to do business and if your employees don't care about taking care of customers and being open when they are supposed to, I will take my business else where. I went to the scott city store, Gordonville store, and the other dg in downtown Cape and they all 3 were sold out of the pain patch that actually works. I rushed back across town to this one only to find them in there but closed early so you can imagine the frustration. I do have pictures with times available to prove that this location closed prior than they were supposed to.

Your watch must have been running slow. Your watch might have said 8:51 but the DG register probably said 9:01 meaning CLOSED.

Dollar General everything

This store is the most disfunctional store I have ever stepped foot into. It is absolutely disgusting, embarrassing, and very poorly managed. It makes me an anxious mess every time I step foot in the place and can't find anything! Always empty shelves with racks and racks of merchandise that is boxed and sealed and not put away and employees hanging outside smoking or in the break room . They are very unprofessional and not very often prompt to help at checkout. Always on their phone while checking out. Something needs to be done!

Dollar General store is in complete disarray, most food shelves are empty and food is either expired or almost ready to expire!

I live just around the corner from this store and I was thrilled when it opened! It used to be so clean and organized and I have consistently spent thousands of dollars at that location since it opened. The staff used to be so friendly and would know me by name due to my frequent stops. That all began to change last fall when different employees started showing up in the store. At this point the store is NASTY, the shelves are not stocked and there are huge rolling carts full of unstocked merchandise blocking my way through the store. I have been forced to go to WalMart because I can never get what I need anymore at my DG Store! There doesn't seem to be a regular manager assigned to the store and most of the employees won't even smile at check-out.

Please give me my store back!

Dollar General cashier impolite and inept

I was at your store at 16015 Lakeshore Blvd, Cleveland, OH. The kine was moving very slow because the cashier was slow and giving all the customers in line. The problem was that when paying with a debit/card the finger poke was not working so you had to use the pen on the machine to press the selections. I watched 3 customers in front of me experience the same difficulty. When I reached the register paid by debit card, pressed the "OKAY' button and it showed that I requested $20 cash. I proceeded to inform the cashier that I did not request cash back. He then said, "you need to use the pen". I replied, "why didn't you tell me this"? He replied, "I don't have the time for this". I then said, "why don't you tell the people in line that they need to use the pen"? He then accused me of trespassing and picked up a red telephone and said that he was calling the police. Not wanting any trouble I left the store. I noticed that I had left my debit card in the machine. I asked him if he had seen my bebit card and then he threatened to call the police and I left again. I cancelled the card thru the bank. Later I saw him and he said tha the manager had my debit card and that I could pick it up from Nicole in the office. Now because of his ignorance and impoliteness I had to cancel my debit card and wait 7 to 10 days for the bank to issue me a new card. I will never patronize Dollar General again and will encourage others to do the same.

You said that you had no idea that you were to use the pen. But you also say that you watched 3 people in front of you have a problem and have to use the pen? Either way, the cashier definitely overreacted.

Dollar General service

Hello, i am sad to complain on a store for this but it was so sad that the manager Temicka at your general store in Opelousas la. At the address of 5661 Hwy 82 on the Washington Rd

The manager made the statement when an applicant called to check the status of his application and she said they do not need to call and check because I have myon crew that I want. I thought that very unprofessional to say when my own has applied at the same store and was never called, but if thats how that store works Isee why. Young guys need to work besides getting knocked down by that type of manager. It hurt my feelings to hear that. Date happened 7/31/18

Dollar General service

I was at the grapevine location and when i was about to pay i notice i had forgotten my wallet at a nearby restaurant i let the cashier know and she got mad rolled her eyes and said whatever... i was in complete shock there was no point of being rude to me. Then i notice the other cashier getting mad at an old gentleman for not leaving his credit card where it was supposed to be.. i think if you want to keep customers you should really check your employees i should have gone to Walmart instead

Dollar General coca cola

False advertising on pricing on a bottle of Coca Cola also the manager wasn't in the store to take care of the issue as he was carros the street tacking care is his personal stuff as he took over 15 to get to the store he was with an attitude and didn't took care of the situación i asked for his name and store # and he refused to give it to me. The store number is #14597 locates in 13295 nw 27th ave Opa-locka fl 33054
Very poor training and very poor costumer service the manager even called me ignorant to ask for his store number so I can report it

Dollar General customer service

I am from you about your store in Apache Oklahoma that is getting hit hard by a woman that is using coupons inappropriately. I have witnessed her use coupons on items that are not for the coupon states there for the store is giving her things for free and losing money. She is also balancing coupons meaning she will use a Huggies diaper coupon that is meant for the bigger bags on the Travel size when the coupon clearly states you cannot use it on the Travel size so the store will owe her money. I have also witness employees their key items in for her when the coupon won't scan. The employees there even seem to favor her so much as they even hide items for her so she can get the best deal. She also shops at the store in Medicine Park Oklahoma which the employees there have grown quite mean towards even a couponer that is couponing the right way because this woman has hit them so hard. Please make this stop not all couponers do the wrong thing.

Dollar General nasty store

I walked into the store at 155th and North Scott Belton, Mo and you cant get through the isles from all the stuff sitting in the way, Open bags of trash spilling out onto the floor unstocked shelves. This is a fairly new store and it makes me sick Its been going down hill for the past few months . Pretty bad when you have to leave and go to another competitor so you can get what you need and not be disgusted.

Dollar General french vanilla coffee creamer

How can you put on your product "non dairy, lactose free" when it states in the ingredients "CONTAINS MILK"?
I purchased this because my grand daughter is allergic to milk products. This is not ok. Non dairy and lactose FREE should mean just that! I called dollar General and they said it's not their problem and refused to let me return it. I would like to inquire about initiating a recall for this product.

Dollar General employee

Today, Tuesday July 31, 2018 at 12:00pm I was shopping in Dollar General at 10925 Homestead Rd Houston, Texas 77016
Worst Experience ever, employee by the name Mika had the worst attitude and extremely rude. As she was ringing my things she was complaining about her job and I notice that I had forgotten my debit card in my truck so I told her nicely if she could wait for me or just cancel and wait till I wen to get my card really fast, she rolled her eyes, starting mumbling something and making faces at me with an attitude, I told her she didn't have to be rude and her attitude was uncalled for, she kept on going so I walked out and returned with my card to get my items and kindly asked for her name and with an attitude she said "Mika, anything els you wan to know" extremely rude. Manager was nowhere to be found. Just terrible.
Hope to hear back from this incident,
Just wish they could get the right training and your store can hire kind and friendly employees.

Dollar General hiring process

My name is Tavoshae Morgan. I have been applying for a position at the dollar general warehouse in my area for a while now. I did eventually get an interview and also went on to the next step of the hiring process. This was where we toured the warehouse and also filled out more paperwork. After this, I was told that I would get a call on the following Wednesday to come take the drug test. I didn't receive a call but weeks later I received a letter in the mail stating that I was no longer considered for the position. No one could tell me why I didn't get the job because you can't ever talk to anyone personally. Always automated. This happened in 2017. I recently applied again in July 2018 and I checked my dashboard and now it's saying no longer being considered. I know I am well qualified to work there. I just want a legitimate reason as to why this is happening and why it is so simple for other people to get there after one try. I know at least I have been trying over the last year or so.

Dollar General employees/service

I was recently in the Dollar General in our town getting supplies needed for my classroom. When I headed to checkout, there was no one at the counter. I waited at least 7 minutes. I had to go find the employees. They were both outside taking a smoke break. I normally do not complain, but I find this unacceptable. There should always be someone available to wait on a customer. I will continue to shop at Dollar General because the company supports education, but wanted to make the issue known. This is a problem in our town. There is rarely someone at the counter and when there is, it's one person with a very long line. You never want to go in if you're in a hurry.

Dollar General cashier rude

Hello,
I visited the dollar general in Waynesboro, Pa on Saturday and the cashier was very rude, she acted stressed out as my card didn't work in the credit card machine. She first said I have to reset the card reader . Then she said I have to take other customers on other register, then proceeds to scream for a other worker to come up then saying I don't know what he is doing . Then coming back to my register she try's it again . There was some stickiness on my card from the bank sticker so she blamed that for the reason . I said did it take my digital coupons . She said yes it did . I thought it didn't due to I was counting the amount I was buying . So the receipt said only .50. Cents taken off . She said well I'll have to return everything and re ring it . I said ok ! She said so that's what you want . I said yes, so she said I'll have to take customers before you . So in a few minutes the guy took me and I started unloading a full cart of bagged items. He said no that's ok, and gave me the $5.00 . Then I heard a new person coming in to work, she said to her how stressed she was and she said the machines have been resetting and causing problems all day . So I assume my card wasn't the problem . But I worked in the restaurant field and customer service 30 years and this is not the job for this girl . I didn't get her name. She was blondish hair and high strung . I'll take a picture of the receipt as I recieved the $5.00 coupon in cash . This dollar general was on Anthony Hwy Waynesboro, Pa

Dollar General the store

The store in Waldron, Ar. is way too small and too much merchandise in it. Isles are always cluttered and have boxes in them. You can't meet another in the same isle and pass they are soo small. We need a huge store, like in Norman, Ar. there the stores are only 10 miles apart. Here it is 30 miles to the nearest stores anywhere. Puts a very bad hardship on people when can't get at this store cause it is too small and or crowded. Is very sad.

Dollar General district manager-sarah hadley

I am the assistant manager of my store and our district manager, Sarah Hadley, is not fulfilling her duties to our store or our staff. She is completely unreachable to anyone other than our store manager, which is a violation of the company's open door policy. In further violation of the before stated policy, I personally tried to contact her this morning about an issue and instead of contacting me back, she contacted my store manager, disclosed the nature of what I wanted to discuss, and allowed my manager to provide an answer that she accepted instead of responding to me and letting me address my issue myself. I felt very disrespected by that action. She is very disrespectful altogether. She makes demands that are unreachable due to issues with payroll and staffing or that are just simply out of our control. She plays favorites among the managers and makes sure that anyone she does not like knows it. She is simply not fit to be in a position of such high authority, and what's worse is she is about to move up to our regional manager. When this happens, I will no longer work for this company. If I make it that much longer.

Dollar General bread trade from clover valley left on floor in isle

i recently visited my local dollar general store in iminersville pennsylvania zipcode 17954 and my wife and i went shoping we started in the toy isle and moved around the store we were looking at items on the shelf and we turned to walk down another isle and the bread tray was laying on the floor in the isle my wife kicked it resulting in an injury on her toe i was told as well that before we had arived one of the managers that were there when the delivery guy was there had got in an altercation with the delivery man resulting in the delivery man telling dollar general manager to go f&$% off left his tray on the floor and returened to his truck to i assume make more deliveries i feel as if all of this could of been avoided if the man from clover valley would have removed his tray from the floor however this was not the case im in contact with a lawyer i have recieved legal advice and it is pending i do not want to drag this through the court system and make things bad for all so if we can settle this outside of court would probably b best for all please contact me in this matter asap or i must pursue in court my name Nathan Toney i live in minersville pa adress 2 sunbury street apt 5 my email is [protected]@gmail.com my contact phone # is [protected] it would greatly b appreciated if i can b contacted on this matter to resolve this issue thank you and have a good day
