Hello there my name is April Chambers I went to Dollar general this morning roughly around 10:30 ish a.m.. gentleman on shift his name is Tyler I went in and purchase some items and decided to go to the clearance section where they have all the clearance items and found Ziploc bags with little cute designs for my son and my daughter. I speak to Tyler whom I was under the impression is the store manager that was told to me from the cashier on the shift he was working. I talked to her as I go to check out she says they are ringing up as $4 and I was like how is that possible it's over there in the clearance section without a clearance sticker. she tells me to go talk to Tyler and I asked her if he's the store manager and she says yes so I go to the office as he was in there talking to someone. I told him about those bags ringing up for 4 dollars each. thinking I had a few dollars in my account. He says just tell the cashier to price override it to a dollar each I said okay so I go to her and she price override it when I went to swipe my card it declined so I go back to the office and talked to Tyler and told him hey I thought I had the money in my account so I have to wait for my husband to give me the cash and later on today I will come back to pick these up is there anyway you can hold them. Tyler says yes go put them in a bag get a slip of paper write your name on it and he'll hold them in the office I said okay now how will the next cashier know if I'm coming to pick it up and he said don't worry I will let them know. So as I said I would I go back there around 8:40 ish late evening to go pick them up Thursday, 24/2019
I talk to Natasha about it told her everything. The lady who was working that night shift when I went in. She said she wasn't informed about it and the store manager so happen to be there checking on nightly crew and I guess she was on the phone calling Tyler to see exactly what it was he said overhearing Natasha and my conversation. Tyler on the phone said to her he thought it was Christmas stuff when he did clearly see what it was I wanted to get proven on cameras. The store manager her name is Margo. After hanging up the phone she tells Natasha to scan the product the box's of ziplock bags snack size . so she scans it and she says it's showing that it's not in stock but it's not showing that it's been marked down so it was put on the shelves without a sticker on it in the clearance section in the store and I was also fed misleading information. after this was done I said okay what are we going to do about this matter so instead of honoring the price that was told to me. she says well I can't even change a price I'm sorry they're $4 each. Considering the whole going back and going through all this . This needs to be addressed. This is considered false advertisement feeding false information not only it is the employer may I say store manager it is also the employee.

Just because something is in the clearance section doesn't necessarily mean its marked down. It just means the store discontinued the item.
