Dollar General i am complaining about the dollar general on north lee hwy in cleveland tn store #10285!

The managers and key holder Carol you have working this DG are the rudest/hateful women. They never smile or greet you when you walk in! The store is always a mess! The employees act like they are scared to talk! You can cut the tension with a knife! Please address so I can enjoy shopping at this DG again! It's closest to my house or I would go to another one!

Dollar General extremely poor staff and management

Store 00197 time 0847 am 5/21
I am not currently from here but this location staff and manager Charles and Randy your district manager. Which I found out everyone name so I can inform you. Reason for complain is that I ask for assist from Charles and walk with Randy to the back office. Then Brandy the cashier I ask where item was located and yelled while Charles at that time talk to her about someone yesterday stealing a balloon. My point is with that staff and management include region all need a coarse on people still. What mean by that a friends greeting and if you can not answer the question a yes or even a no but not walk away. I will inform my family members, church members, and other not to shop there due to staff

Dollar General items always out of stock,

Every time I go shopping, they never have stock of items, when I first started going to dollar general they were always stocked, last several times I went never have all items I need. I wish they would better stock items. Just costing the store a lot of money not stocking items. Every time I been going lately,
Getting about half of the items I need. I'm going to start shopping other places
If there's no change.

Dollar General your 2 cashiers or managers at the friendship road store #17302 seneca sc 29678

I went in at about 7:15 pm along with my daughter and son in law and my grandson. I am 44 yrs old. And my daughter is 26 yrs old and son in law also 26 yrs old. I went thru and got my order and proceeded with the grandson and paid 12.65 for my order and it was fine. While my daughter and son In. Law continues gathering their items I went out put my things in the car. Which I totally knew I had not purchased my cigarettes because I didn't have my drivers licence and knew I couldn't purchase my cigarettes so I waited till my daughter and son in law got to register and then I told the cashier I needed a pack of marlboro cigarettes and she asked for my I'd. I told her I don't have mine with me and as I was this the cashier Rudley starts saying no I cant but bc of no I'd. As she did my daughter said I'll go get mine out of the car and I say ok that's fine and I just handed my money to my son in law who also btw also 26 has his license in his wallet and when my daughter said she would get hers out of the car. Not only the cashier ringing the stuff up but another cashier manager what ever they were also rudley states no we cannot sell these to y'all. Ok my daughter says why I am 26 years old and I have my licence to show and again both your employees started saying very rudely and very discriminatory saying it's against the law. Ok first off even if my daughter paid for them. For me I am grown and she is a adult and secondly how can they refuse to sell a pack of cigs to anyone that is grown. Of age and has I'd and the money to buy the cig and is not a child and was not buying for a child so tell me how its illegal to sell a pack of cig to a adult 26 yrs old well 2 26 yrs old people both with Ids and money and can prove they certainly are capable of purchasing on their own either way. Frankly If I would. Have had my time over I'll skip dollar General and shop at family dollar up the road bc not only did they speak rudely to me and my kids. But they said it's illegal just how is it illegal to sell 2 adults a pack of cig as long as they were not buying for a child that frankly is a bunch of hoopla i do intend to ask my attorney about this matter bc long as they had their ids and both did so how can they refuse to sell a item to 2 26 year old adults and not to mention how rudely we were spoken too both these cashiers Lied or discrimination against us bc regardless who the cig were for there was proof with 2 different adults and they had no cause to refuse to sell a pack cig not mention their attitude towards all 3 of us. Frankly that's bad business sell some Thing and have to turn round then refuse bc I had no I'd on me. I called asked law enforcement they said as long as their I'd proved Their age then no there is no law bcuz those cashiers did not know the kids well 26 year olds they could buy cig if they wanted too they maybe even smoke too. My kids and my family will no longer shop in this store and family dollar is there to. Plus then out of our way have to go find a gas station just for a pack of cig. Not mention. Lies they told and attitudes. And I know from now own my family won't return & shop at this dollar g'eneral ever again.

Dollar General vacation pay

I worked for dollar general for 3 years and I decided to leave the company because of the way the district manager verbally bashed me on the phone because I wanted to quit . I think its sad that you can give your all to a job and then when you realize you are never going to be able fulfill your dream with with that company they will not give you your vacation pay... you work all year for that;thats messed up! and whats more, if they would look into that district managers district thay would see that her stores are always needing new managers... I will be contacting the bbb and an attorney. you should give people what they work all year for.

Dollar General good employee

Know you lost a really good employee from store 11473 who has been with this company for 24 years I was he manager for 11 years and I know she was one of the best workers I ever had she was cheated out of 2 vacations not while I worked I made sure my workers always got their vacations but the district managers always promised her she would get paid for them which never happened. I retired on good terms with this company and gave all I could for it so did this asst. Manager which she never going credit or thank you for all her work I think she deserved better than she got do not know why or how she left but hope you all start treating employees like family again like they used to

Dollar General excessively loud music.

I was just in the new Dollar General on hwy 45 in Wren Ms this morning. I had to run out. The music was so loud the speakers were distorting. When asked to turn it down the cashier said " I like my music loud. " That may be so, but this is a retail business, not a bar or party. Some of us like to concentrate when we shop. Light background music at about a 3 level is appropriate, not blaring top 40 set on a level 10. bottom line, you are losing money because of this. You need to put in some across the board store guidelines regarding music volume. This is ridiculous.

Dollar General manager

I was running to my daughters this evening, and decided to go to Dollar a General to get fish oil. Yes, I was aware I didn't have shoes on, but knew I would only be a minute. Shortly after entering the store, a cashier informed me, next time I would need to have shoes. I hurried, got my items and got in line. The manager comes up front, and informs me I have to have shoes on. I informed him he was the second person to tell me that. He said it was a safety issue and I could not buy anything until I had shoes. I was already next at the checkout! I asked if he knew how many times I am in there in a week, and he said, you need shoes. He then turned to the cashier and told her not to ring me up until I had shoes. I told him where to stick the stuff. I understand you have policies, however, I do not feel the situation warranted him telling the cashier not to ring up my items. I was already at the checkout. I only needed to get from there to the door. Just blows my mind that I see people in stores with bikinis on and that's okay, but no shoes, and I am reprimanded like a child. He sounded like someone who had a bad day, and needed someone to take it out on. Considering the cashier said next time, I think the most professional action for the manager would be, let me pay for my stuff, I'm already in line, and remind me NICELY, that next time, no shoes no service.

Dollar General complaining

Time of event was at 5:46 pm - I was just at your store #17438 and the sales clerk told me she could not give me a bag because Dollar General was saving money and I only had one item. The item was a bag of fries but the white lady behind me got a bag and I ask her way did she get a bag and she said because she has 2 items which were 2 small water bottles. I have never been in a store that treat their customer like this. I will not be going back to Dollar General and I will be going on facebook and let everyone no how Dollar General treat their customers.I hope they look at the tap in that store but I doubt if they even care. I AM SO UPSET ABOUT THIS. I guess here in NC blacks are not treat the same as WHITE people in Dollar General we just hold our stuff in our hands and leave the store. I will not be surprise if I don't get a call back or nothing happens to the women because that's how this world is NOW. NO GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE

I bought Clover Valley Root Beer at Dollar General, & let me tell you, there is NO ROOT BEER Taste to the drink. They have too much Vanilla & it makes it taste like Cream of Soda. Maybe they need to look at a bottle of A & W Root Beer for the ingredients so they know how to make Root Beer! Never going to buy another Clover Valley Products again. I'll Stick with Name Brands!

Dollar General that is very disrespectful assistant manager you have

You have an employee there he is an assistant manager he is very disrespectful and rude you can hear him talking about things that are going outside that are not appropriate for a business every time I come in there he always has this attitude like he doesn't like his job he's always outside and when you need his help he's always on his phone or he has music playing that I believe that is not appropriate for a business I believe something needs to be done with this employee because this is not the first time I've come in there and he's done this his name tag says Lou this is at 1021 Virginia Beach Boulevard in Virginia Beach

Dollar General your store does not open at the time specified. the lights are on and it is closed

My husband and I was at your store in Elkhart Indiana does not open when it is supposed to. It was to open at 8:00 a.m. and it was closed. All the lights were on and no manager. Danielle the substitute store manager wasn't there. We went back around 8:30 a.m.-8:40 a.m, and they still weren't opened the stores cashier was outside also she couldn't start her job and it is filthy inside.

Dollar General store manager w 7th st hopkinsville, ky. june is her name

She is a very rude individual. Was picking up a friend from work who was supposed to be getting off at 2pm and was not off yet at 215. We had plans to do something and can't make plans because the manager does not let her employees off on time. I asked through the door if she was going to be done soon because we had things to do. The manager flat up told me that my friend was on her time and that I needed to leave the store. I go in there today to see her for lunch and now I am being told that I am not allowed back in the store. I can be in the parking lot but not in the store. This woman should not be a manager at any store.

Dollar General firing of manager

I shopt at The Dollar General Store #00164 located on 7th Avenue South Charleston, WV two to three times a week. After not seeing Sasha, the manager, for several weeks was told he had been fired. What?! Why? Explained to me he has been fired for not having a drivers license. Told he has to have a license in order to go to the bank to make deposits. The bank is three blocks from the store. We do not have a gang problem in South Charleston & have never heard of anyone being robbed on the "mean streets" of South Charleston. Who ever is responsible for the firing has made a huge mistake. Sasha was always friendly & helpful. Never in a bad mood no matter who he may have had to deal with. ALWAYS pleasant. Who made this foolish decision? Ive spoken to others who shop at the same store. No one can make sense of what has been done to a great young man. I will no longer shop at Dollar General & others have said the same thing. Will take my shopping needs to Family Dollar, which is right around the corner, or Dollar Tree which is right down the road. I do not know who the district manager is for the South Charleston store but he is a fool. Is he a bully or just have a personal problem with Sasha. Unbelievable. You've lost a great asset in Sasha. What a shame.

Dollar General service-poor management at the california missouri store

The dollar general in California Missouri was doing pretty good and that's good because it's the only store like it for 15 miles. A lot of people have been driving to the dollar general in Tipton, Mo because since the new management has taken over, the store is filthy and the floors are disgusting. The aisles are full of toys and products laying all over the floor etc. most of the cashiers are rude and act like it's a bother to help you. Also they are consistently out of major stuff like ibuprofen and Tylenol, scotch tape etc. There is clutter everywhere and this isn't on stocking days, this pretty much all the time now! Would like for it to go back the way it was. Also some products that would be great to carry are ELF brand of makeup and Argon oil for hair. Many people in this town use Elf and have to buy it online. Several of us also REFUSE to use cover girl anymore. Anyway, just a thought .

Dollar General managers

I work at Dollar General and the manager fussed at me and accused me of something that I hadn't been doing. I try not to complain about it but she did that stuff in front of customers. It was humiliating.
I was told they'd rotate my weekends and they haven't. Another thing, whenever Corporate is supposed to come in that day, they always take my day from me or they switch my schedule and tell me about it an hour later OR they don't inform me the schedule was changed. I was also fussed at for scanning the barcodes too often when I was trying put stock away. I'm sorry I don't know where everything goes. I'm still rather new and that store is a disaster. Plus I can't hardly see the small print on the tags.
Other customers have witnessed it and one of them told me she'd put in a good word for me at that place I wish could remember the name of. Then a couple of weeks before that this man asked if I could find a different place to work at. I guess he didn't like me being yelled at for no reason.
I asked this one manager where my pal works if she could transfer me to over there but she's going to have to talk to the manager where I'm employed. I just want to work where I'm appreciated and I'd like to not get screwed out of my days that I'm supposed to work. I barely work 15 hours a week, except this week where I only worked 10.
Again, sorry for complaining but I don't feel like I'm being treat fairly.

Dollar General customer service

I recently visited my neighborhood dollar General on hwy 35 in carthage, ms. The customer service was disgraceful! The store was having a promotion on laundry detergent and you could apply a manufacturer's coupon to receive an additional discount. The cashier preceeded to scan the coupon with a gun then after one rushed attempt she scoffed and asked another cashier in a angry tone what to do if it doesn't scan in a rude tone the other cashier replied, give it back! Afterwards she didnt honor the manufacturer coupon and asked if i wanted to pay full price for an item that was on sale! Afterwards she treated me as though my coupons were counterfeit when they clearly were marked by the manufacturer. I feel if the manufacturer makes coupons it's the responsibility of the store employees to honor them within the rules stated. They make the coupons to be used by consumers not for them to be a symbol that allows rude and unprofessional employees to dismiss and demean customers!

Dollar General coca cola product

I am a regular customer to Dollar General store at 8615 W Hillsborough Ave Tampa Fl 33615 ( Store # 07818 ). On today's weekly circular they advertise a sale price for Coca Cola 12 pack three for eight dollars or three for seven dollars with digital coupon. When I bought the product using my digital coupon I was charged $ 8.00 dollars and I complain about the price I should pay. The manager was so unpleasant and with hostile attitude she
told me that was the price incluiding tax. I paid with EBT card, so tax is exempt. I told her that something might be wrong with the cash register but she got nasty and said : now I have to give you one dollar from my pocket. In response I told the manager that the position was so big for her
because she couldn't solve the problem as it should be. She got mad and told me in front of clients and employees not to come to her store anymore. This happened today Sunday May14 at 11:25am.
I BELIEVE THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE MORE CAREFULLY AT THE TIME WHEN HIRING PEOPLE, IN PARTICULAR IF IT IS A MANAGER POSITION.

Dollar General employee

Employee was very unprofessional
Did not want to fix the problem I had on a price check and started to huff and pout with his hands over his head while to manager on duty fixed the problem after I had to show her in which they both never apologized to me for the store employee being at fault.
The male is named Zack he was very rude and said he hates retail and would rather be a cook and continued to talk while giving me the wrong total before coupon
And got mad at me for wanting to take a item off. I shop at the DG all the time and never had to complain till today
He proceeded to throw my change back at me and never said thank you
I complained to manager on duty and she did nothing to correct him
I will not be back at this store to spend my money to be disrespected as a loyal customer

Dollar General dollar general store in hughes springs tx

This store is absolutely horrible! The floors look like they have not been mopped in years! My shoes even feel nasty after walking in there. The shelves are never stocked, there is always carts in the isle making it where you can't get down the isle. There is no organization in the store at all, and there is always a very long line because there is always only one person at the registers. All the staff is very very rude. The store is very poorly managed. I have not met a person yet that does not feel the same way about this store.

This is a nasty, junky store. You have put new ones (2) in same area at different locations which naturally are somewhat better.
This place needs a desperate redo...
Too much crap around the check out area. Also the belt to move mdse doesn't work. Can't move along too fast without.
I go to this one cause at my end of town, but think might want to just go to new ones in the area. Just not as convenient for me in my old age.
Know this store isn't wanting for business based on what I see when I do my shopping. How about a undo of junk!
