Dollar General employees

There is a manager kay at your weedsport ny store who is nasty, rude her and other employees talk about personal problems, they swear, and ignore the fact customers are there and they always look high. Everyone has complained and nothing has been done they need to be fired local businesses have complained as well and alot of people will not shop there anymore. Here are some other names, amber, amanda are the other girls and aleisha. I will take this to the better buisness bureau its alreay been brought to the town board as well.

Dollar General returning a defective dvd w a receipt cashier stated was a federal law could not give refund

I bought a detective dvd at dollar general went home tried to watch it with my son and it would not play I immediately returned to the store with my receipt and dvd and cashier told me she would not accept the return because it was a federal law. the time was in the evening, close to closing the cashier blond hair about 45 years of age. I left the movies on the counter as I was astounded she would use the federal gov as an excuse to not give me my money back. I actually wanted to exchange it for a movie that worked, she wouldn't listen to reason.

Dollar General falling in the parking lot

On 10/16/2018 at 8:15 a.m. I parked right at the front door on the right side. It was the first available parking space after the handicap parking space . I got out of the driver seat and proceeded to open the driver side back door to get my child out. When I got my child out I went around the back of my van to go to the passenger side to get my other child. As I was going around the back of my van I noticed the ground was wet with some slippery oilmuddy stuff on the ground. About the time I noticed it my foot slipped and I fell on my knees and my right hand and arm while my child was in my left arm. When I got up I noticed the stuff was all over our arms, feet, and had stained my clothes. I told the store manager and she was aware of the problem. She stated that it was oil, gas, or diesel that had spilled out of the back of a truck.

Do you expect them to police the parking lot every time a vehicle has leak? Or I know go out and scrub the lot when a customer leaves. Get a grip, you saw it, step around it.

Dollar General the service and how prices have rises, service is very poor

I often shopped at the dollar general at least 12 times a month. I have often noticed how poorly this store is managed and the cleanseness of this store is. There are always tons of boxes in the isles that are so dangerous you cannot even drive a carriage through it. I rearely see the staff putting any of it away. The manager of this store always seems frazzled and overwhelmed she's not a nice person always very snappy to customers and staff. A very unorganized person. Does anyone realize by naming the store dollar general is by far a bargain to shop there the prices are insane and rises. Your company is out of control. Your company should really shop for bargines that would be a bargine to want to shop more often here. I have spent lots of money in this store to be treated like I have and to see this store is a disgrace the way things have been going on. I feel your store is overpriced, if a consumer such as myself is bringing this to your attention I feel maybe others may come forward or already have. There is an incident that happened to my granddaughter who is 10 yrs old, who gets an allowance for her chores. We live not far from the Kingston pa store where she likes to ride her bike to find something in this store from her allowance. When she got there on this particular day she had to use the restroom which she did. But when she returned the key to the front she was accused by an employee of stealing a set of artificial nails and putting them on in the restroom. She was crying that she had not done any such thing. She came home was very upset needless to say so was I. I don't raise her this way and she is a good girl. We complained to the manager and nothing was done about it even tho it was proven she did not do this. I am very upset over this and all I have explained in this legitimate complaint. I no longer am interested in shopping and spending my hard earned money in your store. Your store has put a bad taste in my mouth.

Dollar General store stocking, service and cleanliness.

The store on Clark Rd. In Show Low Az. Has turned into a total mess. The shelves are always half empty, Carts used for stocking are Blocking all the isles and shelves. Only one person is working most of the day, only one register is open and 6 to 7 people are waiting in line. More and more of the people I know say they wil never go back. The store is filthy including the floors.

That's the way these stores like to operate. Realistically the more workers they have, the higher the prices would be. For the prices to be low, they can only afford one to two workers per shift and that's it.

Dollar General security pins are defective... they can move thru the plastic and stab you

I was at a Dollar General today in Riviera Beach FL 33404 when shopping for running pants, spandex and one of the security pins that prevents someone from stealing something was sticking all the way out & stabbed my finger when I grabbed the garment. It was so sharp it went all the way thru my finger to my nail. I almost past out at the register from the shock of pulling it out and it bleeding. The employees were super sweet, Joanna & D'Angelo, but because there was no manager there at 6pm I have to return to do an incident report. They need to create or use different security pins because a child is going to get hurt.

Dollar General the store is on the floor

You can not get up the aisles and boxes are everywhere the freezer are empty and the shelves are bare this store needs help I have never seen it like this I don't know if it a new manager or district manger or region manger but someone needs to look into it buggies are full of stuff and there are no shopping cart for the customers I am ashamed you would leave a store like this

Dollar General store playing music with profane lyrics

Good Morning,

I live in Tunica, Mississippi, and love shopping at the Dollar General store here. I am excited about the upgrades the store has recently gone through. I do, however, have a complaint about a recent experience. I recently went to buy brownie mix at our local Dollar General. While I was in line, one of the cashiers had her phone hooked to a speaker. The music was being streamed via Pandora. The lyrics were horrifying to me. The song had the F-word and M----- F------ blaring! I almost put my things down and walked out! There were small children in there. Instead, I waited until my turn to go to the checker. I told her that I didn't appreciate being subjected to that kind of language while doing business in the store. I don't want to stop shopping there, but I will not be going back if employees are allowed to play their own music while they work.
Thank you for addressing this with not only the Tunica store, but with employees of all your stores.

Dollar General coupon policy not honored, coupons will not scan

On Sunday morning 10/14/2018 I went to my local Dollar General Store. I am a fan of Gain coupons and clip them out the box. I have several issues with Dollar General, One the gain coupons (located in the boxes of detergents) will not scan. This causes a huge amount of time for the manager to come override, after reviewing if it has met the requirements for 10 - 15 minutes (I don't have this problem at family dollar, I just had them the gain coupon from the box and its scanned with no problem). Secondly, I visited the store sunday morning with my box coupons (a box of gain I bought from dollar general). I downloaded the app, which had a $5 off $20 gain products (pre-tax) deal. the deal reads, and I quote:

Save $5.00 on your purchase of $20 or more (pre-tax) in Gain Scented Items.
will expire 11/0/2018

$20 or more (pre-tax) of all Gain items calculated after all other Dollar General discounts. This coupon cannot be combined with other DOLLAR GENERAL $2, $3, and $5 off STORE COUPONS. Limit one per customer. We reserve the right to limit use to normal retail purchases. No cash value.

I bought $20 in gain products: the $5 small box of gain, and 5 34ct. boxes of dryer sheets. I had two $5 off three gain products coupons. the manager told me I could not combine the DG store $5 off coupon with the two $5 off MF gain coupons. I then pointed to the stipulations written on the coupon (cannot be combined with DG store coupons). he still refused to honor the coupon and stated that the bottom of the coupon had nothing to do with the top of the coupon. This is unacceptable.

Thirdly, while I was standing at the counter about to make my second transaction (a deposit to a rush card) the cashier skipped me and took the customer behind me. I told her I was not finished and she disregarded everything I said and acted as if I was not speaking. This is unacceptable.

I want to know what DG plan to do about this breach of coupon policy and rudeness of store associate and morning manager? I feel helpless and still upset, I will never go back to that store!

Wow just so you know dg policy is if you have multiple transactions you do 1 and go to the back of the line. Its rude to hold up the li e so you can do several transactions... glad I don't use your bank.

Dollar General the entire store #04987

This store has been an absolute mess for years and it's only getting worse. I live down the street from this particular location, but with the absolute mess this store is kept in at all times I drive 25 minutes outta my way to go to a different location. I was desperate and stopped by over the weekend and i'm mad at myself for allowing my self to step foot into that filthy mess, never again!

Dollar General my store manager at store 6930

My name is Constance Armstrong, I am one of the assistant their recently our store manager quit walked right out for 5 weeks both of us assistants did what we could to hold the store together, however with a cashier quitting the day after it was really rough on us with 2 strong people gone we ask and ask our DM for help please hire someone he didnt until 5 weeks later, when our customer kept complaing about the stock not being put up .We are a high volume store and just could not keep up I ask to please be transfered my DM would not accept it, then I tried to put in a notice and he would not accept that either finally brought in a new manager was hoping all would be great get the store cleaned up and back on track, however if we can not do as much as he thinks we should he has what I call as a tantrum throwing stuff all in the floor expecting us to clean it up I finally got the time and date on one of those days and think it should be reviewed very unprofessional as a manager.After staying thru all the mess with 6930 He is now looking to replace me or the other assistant because we have not been trained properly. I was the only person there on a sunday morning with a new hire that was never put in the computer. We did not know how to do new hires is why we could not hire anyone to help us. he get no signal on his cell phone when he is at home and I do not have is home number
The date of the tape where he thru boxes all over the floor is Thursday oct. 11, 2018 between 7:20 -7:50am 2 seperate fit pitching in the short time I had to get the store open .We was told he was going to show us evrything we should know but it hasnt worked out that way . I have a good work refrence and have been with the dollar general for 16 months and I hate to see this

Dollar General digital coupons

I am a regular customer at the dollar general store in magnolia, ky. I'm usually in there at least once a week. I downloaded the Dollar General app months ago. I never had any problems with using my coupons until the past few months. Every time I try to use them, it won't work. And all the employees have to say about it is "sorry, there's nothing we can do". I'm tired of it and I can't help but notice that it happens to other people as well. I love going to the dollar store because it's convenient for myself and family, but if this continues, I'll take my business elsewhere.

Dollar General employee at dollar general store 01417

I am a frequent customer at the montoursville pa dg.. I go there before work and after work almost everyday. I spend a lot of money at this store.. The other night I came into the montoursville pa store and I was greeted by traci standing in the aisle on her cell phone. She came out of the aisle and said hi and started complaining about her legs and feet hurting blah blah blah.. I went to smell the fall candles and she went to the back room where she was said to kristina and bridget that I was there to spy on her.. Mind you I have complained about this employee before but was always told by the manager jean at the time that she would handle it.. And nothing was ever done cuz once she tried and traci's parents came in with attitude and to avoid confrontation jean tried to handle everything. Well now there is a new manager at this store as jean has retired it is starting all over again.. I assure you I do not go in there to stalk or spy on traci. I go there every morning and get the newspaper and a drink and a snack for work as I work 7 days a week.. And I come after work about 3 or 4 nights a week to grab dog food dog snack or puppy pads or snacks or pedialyte for my patient at work.. I am not sure how this is spying on traci but I am shopping.. I have no desire to spy on her... She is a gossiper and every time you go in there she is talking trash on someone.. I hope you can do something about this issue that has been on going for years now.. Since there is a new manager in the store maybe it will be handled better than it was previously.. Thank you.. Dollar General cashier

Went in to Dollar general on 309 in byhalia Ms. The cashiers name was Valerie and she was very rude. My card came up to had to her and I was told she couldn't do anything on her side she got upset at 6 year old for running to get some gum. And when I ordered my Marlboros she huffed. I asked her if she had a problem she just said she'd had a bad day.

I have worked in retail all my life I am 63 years old I have cashiered, asst manager, and store manager at several different name brand stores and this girl would not make it in one of my stores. Your customers should never see you having a bad day. That is bad customer service

Dollar General youth's entering store with backpacks

I emailed Dollar General about a situation that occurred on Oct 3 at the store located on Riverdale Rd., College Park Ga. They have yet to respond to my complaint. Here is the issue:

The wait time was long at check out. The cashier called out to the manager several times for assistance but the manager never came to the front check out. The cashier's need to have some form of device to communicate with the manager.
I observed youth's entering the store with big book bags. The youth were allowed to carry the book bags in the store. As 2 youth's approached the front of the store one of them had a huge book bag. One of the youth's told the cashier that his friend that was exiting the store had a gun in his book bag. The cahier had no reaction or expression after being told this information. A few customers said they witnessed the boys shoplifting. I ask the cashier why he would allow the youths to enter the store with a book bag and not leave it at the counter like they normally do. He said that the DM said we are not the Dollar General police. That was very disturbing to hear. I've been a customer at this location for about 20yrs. I am sad to say that I will not be returning to this location until the DM takes action to make my shopping experience secure.

Dollar General Brand pedialyte

I purchased a bottle of the Dollar General brand Pedialyte last week for my 2 dogs who were a little dehydrated and I noticed tonight there is mold or something floating in the bottle. I have taken pictures of it as well as kept the bottle. I am not happy about this at all considering I gave this to my animals and I have a 5 yr old who drinks it as well.

Well just because it's cheap doesn't mean it isn't good. I have used this brand for years and never had a problem. And the expiration date on it isn't till 2020 so it should not be getting mold in it after sitting in the same place every other bottle has been and never had a problem, especially after sitting there for 5 days.

Dollar General website

My local Dollar General is in need of help. They are short staffed and their hands are tied when it comes to this. Cooperate has yet to fix the company website. No one can apply for the open positions because paper application are obsolete. There has been an uproar due to technical problems not being solved on the website. Please fix the bugs that are causing these errors. I would love to become apart of the Dollar General team but I cannot apply online. I've talked to the manager and general manager about the matter but they have no knowledge other than "the website is down." How long is this going to continue? We need staff. I've contacted every customer service number and stil no luck. This has been going on for WEEKS. This is my final attempt to get this resolved. Please help.

Dollar General bags

I visit your store sometimes 3-4 times per month. On each vist, I spend $30 to $150. I buy several heavy items; i.e., boxes of canned cat food, litter, cleaning products, etc. Last night was a cat food run. I watched as the checker stuff a 4lb-2oz box of canned cat food, a 2.5lb box of canned cat food, and a couple of frozen dinners into a bag. In her defense, she did double bag that one. In another bag, she put another 2.5lb bix of canned cat food, a 2.2lb tub of coffee creamer and 3-4, 1.4oz bags of cat treats into one bag. At that point, asked her to not fill the bags so heavy and started bagging myself. She promptly informed me that, "we have to pay 60 cents or 6 cents (I could not understand her clearly) a piece for these bags and ...blah, blah, blah." Do your employees have to pay for your bags? I told her that your company needs to provide better bags, if you don't want to have to use so many. I had just spent over $60 and she's going to argue with me over how many bags I need to properly transport my purchases from your store to my home. Face it, your bags are inferior. You know it. I know it. Rarely do I make it home without a rip in almost all of them. One girl always puts all the heavy items together and all the lighter items together. Amazing. I am just saying that if I spend 3-4 hundred dollars per month in your store, the least I can expect is not to be chastised for expecting a proper bag. At 6 cents per bag or even at 60 cents per bag, I figure you still owe me a few anyway. And while I'm here. You need to clean up your stores in Athens Alabama. Most are absolute pig stys. The aisles are such a mess it is dangerous! I dare you to surprise visit some of them. Dare you! I have actually straightened whole sections myself just so I could find what I was looking for. And no, I'm not crazy. Just like things neat. Thanks for your appearance to listen.

Dollar General manager, assistant manager, district manager; poor. management

The employees who work there (Bloomsdale, Mo Dollar General) are always just walking around not stocking. They stand in a group and gossip to eachother. Only the cashiers get yelled at. The assistant manager and store manager are always in the back talking or outside on their phones smoking. When the cashiers call them for help the managers never come until the cashier has to track them down because the store manager is always on the phone talking instead of listening for her employee. The managers never come up to the front of the store to help dial back the huge line. The cashier is forced to clean up after the employees, stock, help customers find things, and check people out all while the manager just stands in the back. I personally know one of the cashiers and she is a hard worker and gets treated poorly by the managers. She was even forced to go to work when she had a legitimate doctors excuse because she hurt her back. The next week the assistant manager had a doctors excuse and stayed home for a week. How come the cashier had to work when hurt, but the assistant manager did not? How come the managers are allowed on their phones and the cashiers get in trouble for listening to music? How come the managers get to leave whenever they want and get to have days off they want, but the cashiers are not?
Also, that store is a mess. There are boxes everywhere which I could fall over and hurt myself. The shelves are either over crowded or not stocked at all. I can see behind the counter is a mess as well. The cashiers could also fall and hurt themselves. They have products scattered everywhere outside which looks hideous. What happened to this store being one of the best Dollar Generals around? It isn't anymore. I blame management.
