Dollar General manager violating dollar general's ethics policy

The manager at the Windom store is violating the Ethics Policy by having a relationship with a soda vendor who is married. According to Dollar General policy this should be unacceptable. I believe her name is Jen. When he shows up to deliver the soda she blatantly flirts with him ignoring customers. I have even witnessed her making out with him before he leaves.

Dollar General employee/customer service

A few months ago I went into my local dollar general (Bear Lake, MI) to buy a pregnancy test. I am 20 years old and married, but none of that should have mattered. The girl at the checkout took one look at me and said rather bluntly "Well, I hope YOU'RE not pregnant." I was shocked and taken aback. This girl was new to the store, and I'd never had any other employee there treat me rudely. What this girl didn't know? I had had two miscarriages and we were trying to get pregnant. This was a very touchy subject to me, and even buying another pregnancy test was something that was emotionally difficult for me. But this girl took one look at me, and just assumed and judged without even knowing the situation. It was extremely hurtful.
I replied that I was married and she said, "Ohhhh, okay. You look young."
That doesn't matter. She should not be allowed to treat customers like that or make them feel hurt.
It was very rude and unprofessional.
I tried to let it go, but ever since that incident, I try to shop at other stores. I don't want to see that girl again, and I'm embarrassed to even go in the store.
I shouldn't have to worry about going into my local dollar general because of someone who works there. I just want to let someone high up know what is going on.
Thank you.

Dollar General unethical behavior of employee

On 2/22/2018 in the evening hours I went into the store to pick up some items and noticed there was a very long line and only one person at the register working, I continued to gather the items I needed and get in line to checkout when the lady working the register yelled twice for the other employee (Tracy, that is the name she said)for back up assistance. While standing in line "Tracy" made the remark that she had been called in on already that week, she (Tracy) was very loud about her situation in front of the costumers waiting to check out. While the other lady was checking me out I overheard the costumer beside me say she didn't have her ID to purchase cigarettes to Tracy, Tracy told her to "flash a card" so it looks like she checked her ID and as long as it looks like she is checking her ID then she could sell them to her. I feel as that is going against the law and every person should be ID for the purchase of tobacco. I was told by the cashier that Tracy was the new Assistant Manager for that store. Tracy was very unprofessional and rude to costumers. The Store Number is 15857

Dollar General unprofessional management staff

I am filing a complaint on Jen Volkenant who is the manager at the store in Windom Minnesota. She is engaging in a sexual relationship with your Pepsi Vendor. I spoke with Autumn Hunter who is the assistant store manager in Windom and she informed me she was aware of the situation going on in the store but she did not report it. She also confirmed that in Dollar General Handbook it is stated that having a relationship with a vendor is unprofessional. Beings the title the Jen Volkenant and Autumn Hunter as managers I demand that something be done. If nothing gets done the reputation of that store will quickly diminish. Policy is policy and if your managers are unable to follow policy, how did they become mangers in the first place? I request you investigate this complaint and please reach out to me as I have proof this is occurring. Jen Volkenant and the Pepsi Vendor at the store in Windom are in a sexual relationship and I believe that should consult as a conflict of interest with the relationship your store has with Pepsi as its vendor.

Dollar General - Hiring process

I put in an application here awhile ago and was told to by the manager. I was given an interview and was told that he hadn't hired anyone yet. But I went there and saw two new white individuals working there. I haven't seen a black person working there in forever and it's highly unfair. He led me to believe I would be employed yet I wasn't. It was the dollar general in Mcbee Sc. The manager there is Keith.

Dollar General continued service problems at the pelzer, sc store

This is a very nice store but has steadily gone downhill since they lost a really good manager. Saturday, they seemed to be having problems with their registers/card machines. I waited patiently until it was my turn then walked over to the register that has just completed what seemed to be a difficult transaction. The other register was still waiting for something to update. I was told I would have to go to the other register because she had to clock out for lunch. When I got to the other register, she was there complaining nonstop to the other clerk, who told her to just breathe. The customer was still in line, waiting for the register or card machine to update. I had two items and planned to pay cash. I left my things on the counter and walked out. There is always a long wait at this store and usually drama. I could go on and on, but you may have already heard it. One bizarre instance was they had no shopping carts one Saturday. How is that even possible?

Dollar General the dollar general store located in peru, ny

I am disgusted with the appearance of the Dollar General located in Peru, NY. First of all, the grounds themselves are not attended to and are littered with trash and cigarette butts. Secondly, the interior of the store is a mess. There are items just throw onto shelves particularly in the clearance area. It's dark, dirty and dingy. I have taken a couple of photos to illustrate my complaint.
I have advocated for electric doors for the store but that has fallen on corporate deaf ears. There are numerous other Dollar Generals in our area with electric doors (incredibly important for physically disabled people). Why do I feel, and I'm not alone in what I say, that the DG in Peru is a "poor relation" in comparison to other area Dollar Generals which I find myself frequently rather than go into my Peru store which is chaotic and messy. I strongly feel a DG rep needs to visit this store and get the manager to be more accountant in keeping the store clean, neat, and inviting. In addition, the Peru store is in need of electric doors. How about Dollar General?!
I would invite a response from you. Thank you

Dollar General unethical treatment by the manager

hello my name is Abigail hunter (abbi preferred) i am filling out a complaint form specifically for the dollar general store on wasson rd in big spring tx, the manager, Hilary, is the main problem you'll notice in a dramatic staff change recently. I and three other employees have quit, or talked about quitting, because Hilary has cut hours to the point where I myself was only working 4 hours a week. An employee that works there by the name of Michael has been obtaining most of the hours in the store, which is around the time everyone has started receiving less, and i have learned while i was working from the man himself that he is a family friend of Hilary's. it is no coincidence that this is happening i assure you, looks speak volumes and of course this is all word of mouth but i will gladly say to the fullest truth that I and two other employees have quit because of this. i am now unemployed because of this unethical favoritism and others are now struggling to pay bills. this is wrong and needs to be looked into. please and thank you,
Abigail hunter

you can reach me by this number if you have any questions to ask me,

Dollar General lack of products

So I went to the Dollar General after work...store #17386 625 International Dr Myrtle Beach SC 29579...just wanted to pick up a relaxer and a few other things...after I picked my items..I went to the hair aisle...I looked and looked..then even walked down two more aisles..the clerk came and asked if there was something she could help me with..I told I was looking for the relaxers but am probably over looking them..she said no..we don't have that section..I asked her what did she mean? She said we don't sell that product..so I was on my way to the counter and still asking her about why they didn't sell relaxers...she then told me she wondered the same thing when they first opened...I said well every Dollar General I have been to sell relaxers...she said they were told they wouldn't have that section because of the demographics...In other words they felt that black didn't live in the area or maybe not enough to sell our hair products...so I gave them their stuff back and got a refund..how can we be good enough for you to take our money but not sell our hair products...Your "demographics" need to be re-evaluated...

Dollar General refund of prepaid card sold to minor.

This evening, 2/14/18, my 14 year old granddaughter purchased a Visa Prepaid Card at the Dollar General in Sonora CA. She deposited $26. on it.
When she got it home for me to help her activate it, she had to be 18 years old and have a Social Security No.
She is 14 years old and does not have a Soc. Sec. No.
I took her back to the Sonora CA store with receipt and prepaid card in hand and requested a manager. Someone who was not identified by a badge said she was a manager.
I requested a refund for my granddaughter who was with me and explained the instructions to activate the card say she has to be 18 years old. The person said they do not refund on netSpend Visa Prepaid Cards.
I want a refund of the $26. deposit plus the $1.95 she paid for the card.

Dollar General cashier

On 2-13-18 went to dollar general store # 15474 like I do every tuesday on payday. As I stood in a long line since there was only one reg open and had already let someone go ahead of me since I had a basket full when I finally get to put my items on the counter not once did she speak was aggravated that I didn't grab what she had already rang up to put in basket so she could have room but I still had a lot to put on the counter. I had a coupon for my detergent which she didn't take off and it was on lid so I took coupon off and stuck it to counter to get the sticky part off for her. She got pissed that I stuck it on counter to do that and said rudely I will do that. I have been a cashier and a lot of people know if u stick the sticky side to counter you can pull the coupon off and then peel the sticky off counter. I had some drinks that were pushed aside so I asked if she had got them already and she said ugh no so I proceeded to put more items up on counter and she says now I have rudely again. She rang everything up and when it was total time she never said what the total was and I had a debit card ready to swipe and she finally speaks and says cash or credit. Seriously u see my card in hand with nothing else but keys. So as I pay for my 120 dollar order I noticed I had socks in basket I hadn't paid for so I told her these too. She had an attitude like I was holding her line up again. So as i'm grabbing my last bag she looks at the man behind me and says i'm so sorry for your wait seriously I had to wait 15 min before it was even my turn and why would I keep letting everyone go in front of me with only a couple items I have never had a bad experience at this store I go every week sometimes every day since it's the only store close to me. I understand we sometimes have a bad day but you do not take it out on your customers.

Dollar General refund

The woman working at dollar general on Sam Houston Jones Parkway in Moss Bluff, La. Is not only rude but also incompetent. I use digital coupons and digital receipts.
When I went to get a refund I had my digital receipt pulled up on my phone with the barcode ready to scan. She then tells me that she has to have a paper receipt after talking to her boss, so I told her that I'd go to the library and print it ($1.00 fee ). As soon as I walked in she said that her boss told her she had to have the register receipt and there wasn't anything she could do.
I asked what's the point of a digital receipt if you can't use them. Her response, rudely, was I don't know ma'am.
More irritatingly is I could've printed the receipts that I paid for at the library but my online research said that my digital receipt was sufficient.
I won't be using that store anymore apparently her and her boss are incompetent at their job and can't scan a barcode from a phone or paper, only the original.

Dollar General no concern over the safety of your customers

I live in Athens Mi. you are the only store in our little town, why can't you plow the drive or clean the walk way? I have talked to the manager she say's she called, but was told it can take up to three (3) days to get your plow guy here.
Why can't you hire someone local to plow? There are a lot of snowplow guys in our town.
The bar and the drug store keep their side walks clear.
