Dollar General employee

Night before last I went in around 9 or so and the guy that's checking me out revives a call on his cell phone he stops and answers and contours to talk whil ringing me up. Last night a girl is ringing me up and she receives a text while checking me out she stops and answers it back. Really? Should they be on their phone in the middle of a transaction? Heck No! Shame shame shame

Dollar General employee harry

I went to Dollar general to shop for laundry soap, body wash, dog food, ect. There is an employee Harry that was rude to me. Followed me around like a lost puppy dog. Gave me the looks to get out of his store. I don't appreciate the way I felt while I was shopping. I went to the dollar general in Marrietta SC. I don't appreciate the way this employee treats the customers in this store

Dollar General condition of store, lack of service

I live in Anderson, Alabama, and at first was thrilled that a dollar general was built here. It was wonderful having a friendly and clean store here. But since the manager has retired I have to be desperate to go to this store. The staff is horrible, I stood at the check out and waited for a good 5 minutes for the girl who was working to even come up and check me out. In fact I finally got fed up and the only reason she came over was because I told her that I would leave the stuff and go somewhere else. In addition the store is deplorable, stock not on shelves but sitting in the floor in boxes, trash on the floor, and you can't walk past another person in an aisle because of the stuff piled up in it, never mind the fact that my wheelchair bound child couldn't even get down aisle's or to the check out. Will tell you this I will have to be more than desperate to go back. Something needs to be done!

Dollar General i'm flabbergasted at how an employee could be so perverted and still be employed.

On several occasions my wife and myself shipped at the dollar general located at 404 main street in simpson pennsylvania 18407 without any issues up until three months ago when a black male was hired, my wife would go into the store by herself and come out stating how this male states how nice of a round [censor] she has and how he'd like her to sit on his face without panties on and how much he likes busting a nutt in snow bunnies cooches.as livid as I was I let it go and went in myself on a separate occasion noting a black male talking to fellow female employees about their [censor] and how he likes [censor]ing bareback, I made note of his name tag Zaay and told him there are women and children in the store that's inappropriate language for that setting, I'm no angel I served multiple tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan I refuse to let someone talk to anyone that way especially women y'all need to do something before y'all get sued or worse someone shoots the disrespectful [censor].

Dollar General employees

Hello my names Betty white I visited your store in Williamstown ma on 7/8/17, I'd like to report mistreatment of staff today as I shopped in the store I heard a man assumed to be the boss speaking horrifically to a younger African American women who I assume was the sales associate, my question to you is is this how all of your staff is treated? Is it because she's young, black or below him? I really hope you look it to this because it was absolutely rediculous how this young lady was treated ! I will no longer be spending my money with dollar general!

Dollar General credit card overcharge/unethical behaviour

on wednesday july 5 i visited the dollar general store #07140 at 865w. ain street in central, s.c. & purchased cat food mainly, 15 cans of 'forever pals', 10 cans of friskies, 1- 3.6lb bag of dad's special mix dry food & 1 - 3.15 lb bag of friskies seafood sensations, along with 3 other items, totalling $30.50. the female cashier obviously did not have her self focused on her job & for an example, there were 2 other feales smoking outside who opened the door to remind her to make a special reminder call to someone the 3 knew mutually. she immediately grabbed a pen/paperbut wrote nothing down. once home, i re-checked my receipt & she charged me twice for the friskies seafood sensations dry food. i called immediately at approximately 2 pm & was told to return thursday morning with the receipt. at 9 am thursday i returned & told Kristy at thte register my problem & she said i wouldhave to wait, that she was busy with a vendor + had custoomers (what am i?) & that she would have to go review the camera footage from wednesday. i told her i was on my way to work & would return before 2pm that afternoon, which i did. she would not accomodate me in any way, kept making excuses as to being alone, so i asked if it would be possible to just grab a 2nd bag of friskies-she said no-, then she proceeded to begin checking out customers & ignoring me. finally, i told her to give me back my receipt which she had taken to office? i told her i would not be back & she told me she hoped i never came back. that's my complaint & it was originally about a minor overcharge which has happened often in years past, but i;ve ner encountered such resistance from a cashier. now, my complaint is against Kristy & Dollar General et al for all this frustration, 3-days of dealing with it with no satisfactory resolution, plus 28 miles over a mere $4.00 transaction, which i was thinking from the start of this travesty would be simply, pleasantly resolved until encountering your most unprofessional, rude employee, apparently lacking proper training with dealing ehically & professionally with innocent customers. i was robbed. btw, i'll be shopping at petsmart or walmart from now on, & i do mean on & on...no more of my money will ever go into a dg register

Dollar General just commenting about complaints

Interesting most all of your complaints are about management. Is corporate going to change this. Or is your company going to the failed pile. Americans need jobs. With as large of company that you are, why? Do you not have training to become a manager? Sounds like you have sexual harassment also. Not good. Do shop at your stores at times. Had very good experiences in Springfield, Mo. In my life, the last 50 + years I have seen a lot of big companies go out of business. Are you going to be the next one. Hope not. America needs good jobs for hard working. So clean up management. Teaching class at local homeless shelter. Lots of men need a good paying job. Lastly you can help make AMERICA Great again. Hard working Americans want jobs and change. So go ahead and do it. Thank you for your time.

Dollar General cashier

I visited store #00246 on July 6, 2017 in Eufaula, Al. I would like to first say I enjoy this store so much. It always very clean, organized and a great staff. I do not know the manager personally but I have seen her during many visits. She has and runs a great store. However, tonight while there was a tote CLEARLY marked 75% off which contained bird feeders, bird feed, etc. I grabbed two bird feeders and when I approached the cashier, whom I've not dealt with before, she rang up the feeders and when they rang up reg price I told her I would replace them because I thought they were on clearance. She started laughing uncontrollably saying out loud, "This women thinks these things are on sale" and continued to laugh disrupting the store. The clerk with her tried to get her under control but she started dropping things and thought everything was so funny. My items were barely bagged and I had to remind her to ring all my items up. Very unprofessional.

Dollar General customer service in the way the manager treated his employee

Customer service in the way the manager treated his employee: hello. My name is Alisha. I've visited the Dollar General in Pensacola, Florida on Navy Boulevard today. The reason for my visit was to return a few items that I had purchased for my daughter who is a college student. Upon my arrival and there was a new employee name Nikki who started my return. I'm guessing this was very new to her because she rang my return up as a sale, this prompted her to call the manager for help. The managers name was Brandon. From the moment Brandon came to the register he had a rude attitude. There were like six people in the line behind me, so he asked me to wait for him to rain though six people up. First off, that shouldn't have been a question. I had already waited behind for people to make my return, now he wants me to wait for six more people to go through, that makes 10 people. Customer service should be offered whether you are making a turn or purchase. I shop at Dollar General all the time, and I spent a lot of money in the stores because I love the great prices. My main concern is how he talked to Nikki. He was very rude to her and make sure he pointed out everything she was doing wrong loudly, in front of all of us, which embarrassed her. He ordered her around like a little child and made her feel worthless. In front of all of us! I could see the look on her face. She looked like she wanted to cry. Not to mention, he didn't greet any of the people that he rung up or thanked them for shopping at his store! This should definitely be brought to his attention. He's going to that you lose a great employee and some customers because of his lacking customer service skills, and rudeness to his employee. I really felt for her. I work in the medical field, but I've been there before years ago when I was a cashier. No one should be treated that way for me to feel worthless. I don't know if you need to send somebody in their undercover as a customer or what! Something needs to be done about his rude behavior. Thanks

Dollar General customer service

Customer service in this store is horrendous! Employees are so rude they do not even greet you or say have a good day. They stand there giving you dirty looks. (As if your the irritation) I even had a worker announce before I came in "oh great look who's here! I'm going on break" it baffles me as to what I have ever done wrong?! What the worker didn't realize was my mom went in first and heard the whole conversation. That store will no longer recieve my business thankfully there is another DG in mass were the employees are amazing!

Dollar General employee

Went to dollar general on 7/6/17 around 1:30pm to get a can of cat food. As I went to check out a lady with curly hair asked the cashier "Stacy" if she could return or exchange without a receipt because her daughter chewed it u. Stacy called Karlie over and karlie told the lady she stole the flip flops on the 6th and that she was gonna look at the cameras to prove it was her. This was very unprofessional and was awkward for me and the other customer because the issue should've been handled privately.

Dollar General overcharge and deceit

On July 30, 2017 I shop at the Dollar General at 1429 West 51st St. Tulsa Ok. 74107.

Folgers 30.1oz cans were advertised on a narkdown from 7.50 to 6.50. Upon checkout it rang up 7.50. Cashier brought it to the attention of who I believe was either an Asst Mgr or Mgr. A young black man with long dreads.

He went over checked price, came to register moved cashier aside and began tap, tap tapping on register, which already struck me as odd, then said he only charged me half price and skirted off. My bill was much higher than it should have been but someone was waiting for me. In checking my ticket, the rat a tat tapping was him charging me three times full price for coffee then taking half off one. Strange right?

Went back in the store later same cashier called him to the front. He grabs tck says oh I see I charged you one to many. Actually he charged me 1 1/2 to many plus the 1vdollar markdown that was ghe original issue.

At this point he said he owed me 8.14 did I want to go back to card used I said yes. I was done dealing with him.

Well guess what. He deceived me again and NEVER did credit thus back or after I left he cancelled it out.

Not sure why I was treated in this manner as I spend hjndreds of $ at this store. I have both copies of original receipt and the so called refund I would be happy to submit. I am done with this thieving kind of behavior. I live on fixed income and this amount of mistake is the difference in a few days food.

Dollar General store in plain city was closed last night at 9pm

I was running into plain city to get last minute things for my cookout that I forgot I pull in at 9pm and there is a sign on the door that says closing at 9pm because it is the 4th of July that is such an inconvenience to me I looked on the door it says store open until 10 I will never come back here that is ridiculous. I had to go out of my way and drive 30 mins to Walmart. Something needs to be done about this.

i went in with my wife and she is 60 with leg trouble..came time to pay she went to sit in the car her leg was hurting..i went to pay ..theemployee came to the cashier and said that lady that went out stole something..she has it in her hands...it was the car keys my wife had..i was so embarrassed...i am very upset over this...we are up standing people...

Dollar General give her my driver license on refund money with receipt

To buy some stuffes that are for sale in the ads.
The cashier that check me out was friendly. I paid and then go put the stuffes in my car.
After that I look at my receipt. the dr. pepper 12pk and sprite 12pk are discount as in the ads and in the store.
But the cereal ad 3 for $6 is not discount.
So I went back to the store to get my refund.
The cashier show me to the manager (I guess).
After I pointed out the detail in the ad about the cereal, she knew I was right.
So she told me to do a complete return of the cereals I bought.
And asked me to give her my id/driver license.
This is something I dont understand. why do I have to give her my driver license when I have already gave my receive to her and she had already scanned.
I gave her my driver license and she input my information on my driver license on the computer.
She gave my refund money on the cereal back. and then recheck me out with all the cereal I refund with the discount.

That is all.

I got behind one of the dollar general truck drivers... lake of the ozarks in Missouri July 4th at 2:30 pm... swriving all over the road. Idk if he was tired or under the influence but I call emergency personnel... he was not being safe and I feared for myself and others on the 2 lane road. I hope he got pulled over to figure out why he was driving unsafe...

Dollar General store employee

I am writing about Dollar General in Rock Rapids, Iowa. I will never set foot in that store again! I have had two incidents with Steve, the first in March and the second today. He is the rudest person I have encountered at this store, and they have had a lot of turnover! Both times involved digital coupons. Today an employee named Bill also chimed in with a snotty remark. I download the coupon so I can buy the item it applies to. Not that hard to understand.
I will either drive 20 miles to another store or buy from your competitor. That store has deteriorated so much. I used to shop weekly. Sad...

Dollar General very rude employee

Hello my name is Ashley Williamsiand i am writing to complain about a rude employee located at the portage rd location in kalamazoo Michigan 49001. The lady was rude, while i was shopping looking for socks she walked past me and out of nowhere rudely said can i help you and as i looked over i asked her if she was talking to me and she once again rudely said yes and i just looked at her and very nicely said no. There were about 3 customers right next to me and they spoke to me afterwards and asked why was she rude to you like that i said i didn't know because i didn't understand why she was rude either. It was very embarrassing and mind you im disabled i only have one working hand my left hand does not move anymore. I found her to be very rude and disrespectful. Im a loyal customer of dollar general but after that incident im really considering switching to family dollar. Thanks for your time.

Dollar General customer service on sunday, 7-2-17 at approx 3:00

I was checking out and there was an error on the computer. There were 3 other customers behind me. The woman who i assume was the assistant Manager and the only other employee I saw in the store went outside to smoke while the cashier tried to fix the problem. After some time (estimating 8-10 minutes) I went outside to tell both employees that it still wasn't working. Upon returning inside, the Assistant Manager was incredibly rude to the cashier as well as my husband and I. The other employee had not yet been given a till so the people in line (which had grown to 8 or 9 by this time) had to wait until the AM counted out the drawer for the other cashier so she could help. While she was counting that, she sent a message with the other cashier to tell us we had to cancel the whole transaction and they would NOT be taking any more debit/credit card purchases. Never were we apologized too by anyone but the checker. At this point, I had been in line approximately 20 minutes and wasn't going to wait any longer (or did I have any other form of payment). I informed the second cashier that the situation was ridiculous and left my purchases in the bagging carousel. I do not know the name of the AM but I can say that the ONLY person being professional in the store was our checker (named MIstina) who had the misfortune of coming on shift when she did. I have never been treated the way I was that day. If there was anywhere else to shop in this town, I would never go back. I feel like if the AM would have just done her job and gotten the other checker her till instead of going on a cigarette break while the only register that was open was malfunctioning, the entire situation could have been avoided. I also expect to be treated with some decency and not like I have done something wrong when I haven't.
