Dollar General overall store

I live in Converese Indiana and the store here is gross. The employees are rude and the store is extremely cluttered. You guys are losing business very fast at this store due to the overall appearance of the inside. This has been complained about several times to you guys without anything being done. I would like to see something done or i will be contacting the state fire marshals office along with the health department. I hate to be this way but the store is gross and only gets worse. The manager is terrible and let's the employees kids run around the store and behind the counter. Thanks

Dollar General velveeta macaroni cups

I went to the dollar general to buy a 4 pack of velveeta macaroni cups and I went straight home to make them. I opened one up and seen this. All the noodles were hard and stuck on one side and nasty black gooey stuff was stuck up the other side. It stunk so bad it made me puke. I'm not sure if it was the dollar general that done this or the company who this but I want something done. I will not even buy these anymore

Dollar General store condition

It's unbelievable the lack of pride that is that is taken in that store. The floor is disgusting and needs replaced. The dairy refrigerator has been broke for over a week, and when I asked when it would be fixed, I was told maybe never, they don't care. I specifically came to the store for 4 sour creams which were unavailable because of the broken refrigerator. Please take more pride in your business and more care of your customers. I am very sick after just returning from an operation. It's very cold here and I really needed that sour cream. I'm disappointed.

Dollar General the manager in wisconsin rapids wi (dar)

The 1st thing i would like to complain about is how she treets her employees. So rude. Yelling at them for making a mistack and then going to the employees place to live and demanding to speek to the former employee. When the mistack was made the employee was right infrount to the regester and tried to cancle the transaction. The former employee tried to refund the product and that did not even work. The employee tryed to call dar to inform her that her drawer was going to be short by alot bit no money was touched and the pre paid card was left with a not on the receat. Dar did not answer her phone and blew up on the emplyee infrount of customers while talking on the phone with the employee. Dar threatened the employee about a rotanor that wasnt done and how she wasnt going to do it and if the employee wanted her job that she would come in for an hr. Dar should have talked to the employee in privit and not tell the employees parents if she didnt get ahold of her she was calling the cops. Reminding you the employee had that day only off. The employee has the recets of things she bought and left the card in dars office. The employee did not steel. The employee after going in that day crying and feeling like crap texted dar. Dar sat there and lied to the employee saying she wasnt fired just shes really pissed. Things started to change between dar and the employee. The employee has picturs of the recets of that day and dar telling the employee not to be ringing things in herself but never said it would lead into losing her job. Dar did not tell the employee anything about it and also seen the employee do it herself before. Do i beleive this employee should lose her job over one mistack she ever made? The cashier is human we make mistacks, well that employee worked over the weekend and would be so scard to go behind the desk to even clock in. While the employee was working she seen a rotanor that had a little note on it out in the an ial that said chemical slill dont touch. Isnt chemical spills soupose to be cleaned up right away? And dispose of properly? This employee came in sick, picked up shifts of people and gets treated like this? A chemical spill that someone could highly be allergic to compaired to someone making a mistack and trying to fix it should not cost a job. And being lied to. That person im talking about is me. I have read the handbook and understand it. Dar even said she seen me try to stop the tranaction and also seen me try to refund it all different ways and i have pictures to prove that i did. I will send them to you. There is nothing in the handbook that says a cashier can not perchus items themselfs. I hope something gets dobe about this because me being fired over a mistack and being treated like im nothing is rediculas. Getting yelled at because im not working fast enough but being blind in one eye right know due to losing my glass peace and dar knowing about it but wanting me to work sky shelfs and being on a lator that could hurt me. So if i lose my job because of a mistack and she can do that then i guess contacting my lawer and contacting the bbb is what im going to do. Aka another thing dg employees cant work by them selfs kinda funny hiw i would work 3-4 hrs by myself and thats ok. Do something about it or i will. Thanks.

Honestly, I can’t believe I’m even replying to this post as it has nothing to do with me, but that was so incredibly painful to read I felt compelled to reply in defense of DG. I would imagine that somewhere in the DG handbook that you state you read, it most likely says employees should be able to read and write English fluently. I am shocked you actually signed your name to that post. I agree with the other person who replied that a lawyer would most likely tell you that you’re not only out of your mind as far as filing a lawsuit, but would encourage you to remove that “rediculus” post if you have any hope of ever finding another employer that would hire you.

Dollar General management

This is the next time that I have been there and the management Heather is so many times rude. Just trying a question, and she thinks she does not have to work and she is better than customers trying to buy. Why is she in the store? Just get the check and not working? She can not just sit there and not help any people. I have seen so many people like her and they have no idea what they are doing. Fire her. Burlington, KS 66839.

Dollar General store manager n employee

There was an incident that occurred at the job with another co worker, store manager was out but was on the phone with the girl Christina Carrington. Mrs. Rochelle said for me to go ahead and leave, I leave n Mrs.Rochelle (store manager) calls me and say "glad you left so wouldn't get in any trouble" ok n we continue to talk n I'm telling her how tired am of Christina &mrs. Rochelle tells "I'm glad u stood for yourself & I know Christina is n I'm a Christian n I'm for wats right" (she was lying). So later that night Mrs.Richelle text me saying just checking to mke sure I was still coming in wit her the next morning n I text her back n say yes.She then tells me u can stay later if u want, so next day come, I'm working then Shonda comes in, Rochelle n her in the office wit door close, then as I was checking out customers, Shonda comes out the office n tells me to pull my drawer, I asked y, she lied like she didn't know. Ok I pull my drawer, go see Rochelle in office, she gone ask me again (she already knew) wat happened Wednesday)if I could write a report of it, ok I do(2pages) give it to her n then this lady tell me:"Oh I'm gone have to send u home until Mike comes Tomorrow (12-7-18)&when Christina comes she gone have to do the same thing" ok I clock out, shake my head n go home. Later that evening I was that way n I see Christina in the store working so I called Rochelle n asked her wat was going on n she plays like she didn't know n say "oh I'm gone check into it but I can give u DG DM number n I said wat itsvitvthen she say, oh u got to wait till in the morning " . Next morning (2/7/18) I go by n Christina nnup there working like nothing happen n Rochelle didn't answe my call r text to her. This lady who claim to be a "Christin LIED n she n Christina both r crooked. It's funny tho cause Mike NEVER came &never was...it was all a lie. And Christina kept saying that Wednesday wen the incident happened(she never gets caught, Mike ain't gone nothing n neither is DG)& she right, because she still lied, Rochelle lied n she didn't do nothing to Christina n she is the one who started that mess Wednesday. Everyone in the community talk bout Christina n her funky attitude, how she underhanded, sneaky, and liar, also how Rochelle is messy too but I got sent home. Mike NEVER answer his phone r her back in touch with the employee that's contacting him n it's like all of this is a joke. This is my life, my money n for them to do that...NOOO, it is NOT RIGHT n someone needs to look into that DG store on main in Magnolia, AR store#04448. N I'm not the only one who got complaints, they just don't want to say anything cause they scared, I'm not n I'm gone continue because it's not right n it's like DG doesn't care what happens to their employees

Dollar General employee/ assistant manager

Lisa Bauer is the most rude, mean and very disrespectful to the employees. Myself and other customers have heard Lisa yelling at one of the employees all the way outside. I have even heard Lisa and seen her talk to a customer with an attitude and answer with a smartass answer. She is just hurting the store and why it is so hard to get people to work there.. Lisa is about to chase away 2 of the best employees i have ever met.. Greyson and Paul are two of the hardest working employees i have ever seen there and i am a regular customer that goes there almost every day.

Dollar General heat in the store

I shop regularly at the store on the corner of union rd and gardenville in Cheektowaga NY. It happens to be 26 degrees outside and your store is not much warmer. Every time I shop there all winter it feels like they have no heat on. Is this a policy with your store to not provide heat for your employees? If I am cold shopping with a jacket on then how are your employees suppose to work under these conditions. No less every time I go in there one on your employees is sick and who do you think is the blame for this. I am very disappointed and feel that it is time to stop shopping at your stores and make sure I get the word out on how you treat your own people. And believe me when I say I am not the only customer that feels this way as I have heard others complain while in your store. I do hope that you will take this complaint seriously and rectify this problem with your stores in the Buffalo area.

Dollar General general manager

I was working on 12/04/2018, and a customer came Lisa, buy some candle, she told me that they was 50% off ii explain to her it will be taking off at the end of the transaction. Well it didn't take it off, so she told Robert general manger, he yell at me in front of the customer, i told him I quit you aren't going to talk to me any kind of way.
So today on 12/06/2018 I was told I couldn't come back in the store by a friend, Sean is talking about everything that happen in the store,

Dollar General febreze plug in refills

My mother phoned the Karnes City store to ask about exchanging the plug ins and the manager phoned Saul DM to make sure it was ok. She was fired for Gross Misconduct and Saul said that she wasn't allowed in the store and that the old packaging couldn't be exchanged. To my understanding only.01 items and those that do not ring at the register can not be exchanged or returned. Seems a little like retaliation to me. Guarantee if I would have just walked into the store I wouldn't of had a problem and been on my merry way, but the fact that it was my mom who asked the question it seemed like retaliation because it doesn't state in policy old packaging can not be brought back. I'm going to leave my contact information but do not want a call back. I mearly wanted to voice my opinion on this. My mother has paid for her mistake physically and emotionally of which both were a result of her employment with Dollar General. I've seen my mother give the store 80% of her time and all the blood and sweat she has sacrificed we're not even appreciated. She was never told that she was not allowed to go in but has kept a distance and will not be going back.in all honesty I doubt I will be going back and will be sure and let others know how she has been targeted just as fast as the breach in confidentiality was broken. I'm just thankful that she has turned around to get out of her depression and not sunk in any deeper. Shame on Dollar General! Jesika Ramos

Dollar General unethical behaviour

I will not be shopping in your ADA OH store anymore and being a small collage town that is saying something . I will drive 15 miles to kenton OH, where they do want and treat people better . I came to the ADA OH store Monday dec 3rd maybe around noon an grab a cart outside and there was an ext.cord laying in it so I went inside and try to hand the item to the cashier (out from behind the counter ) the item telling him this was left outside in this cart . He just ignored me as he was walking right by me to get back behind the counter. In this time another person came in seeing what was going on and stayed how rude he was being . Now that is pretty sad when another person see it and comments on it . Would not be so bad but this man is always like this towards me why I do not know . I was in retail 27 years and this is not how you train your people to act . Needless to state how the store having boxes blocking isles etc...Really how hard would it have been to take the cord and say Thank you?

Dollar General manager is violent

The manager at your store located in Coalinga CA is on social media being extremely violent and unprofessional. He's angry about his sister being caught breaking into cars and has resorted to threatening people including myself. I no longer feel comfortable entering the store as he is the manager. I don't feel he should hold such high responsibilities and a job title if he cannot hold himself to higher standard toward the small community we live in. I have screenshots of his foul and threatening language to show. His Facebook name is King'James Douglas his real name is just James Douglas. I'm extremely disappointed in this man and the behavior he shows that relflects on your company. I'm hoping you will resolve this matter for me

Dollar General customer service support

Hello I live in NC. I have been calling and calling the support team for days. While I'm writing this message, I have been on the phone now for 20 minutes and 25 seconds. What is the problem. Please stay on the line, your call is important to us. No it isn't! Where is the customer service ya'll use to have. The company is a million dollar company and can not get in touch with anyone. I hope the owner reads this. Matter of fact I'm still on the phone. This company at one time was like a ma and pa store. Not anymore! Dollar General has lost one of the best customers you ever had.I know I won't make a difference but somebody needs to say something. Pitiful Company.Still on the phone, now 27 minutes. Shame and a disgrace. #humbug

Dollar General stock in all isles & nasty store

The store in McKenney, VA is one of the most filthy stores I've EVER seen. There is boxes on top of boxes in the isles & the people working there are the laziest people I've ever seen. It was shut down once but doesn't help when the same people are still there & ARE NOT doing there job. We go to the other one in Dinwiddie now because of it. If the fire marshall goes in there he will shut it down.

Dollar General employees

Store # 13613 at 7080 S Pine Ave in Ocala Fl as a customer this store used to be good but seems they hire some not so appropriate people. I was in there about a month ago and their full time person Nichole was her name was asking customers for money then I heard her ask another customer for drugs and they made a time for the person to come back to bring them it was so inappropriate I was back in about two weeks ago and finally the girl walked off the job but I was back in there today and heard they are bringing the girl back and because of it they are loosing the good employees . I never see the manager Loretta in the store anymore and I'm in there frequently so sad this store is not what it used to be. I will be looking for a different store to shop at

Grown women do not act like this person is that better it was inappropriate of asking customers for money and doing drug deal in the parking lot she has some growing up to do before she can be called a women.

Dollar General inside theft and poor customer service

I caught the store managers daughter swapping price labels in her store... I'm appalled!. The manager treats the customers poorly. I have lived in this town a long time. I know that the old store manager had banned this girl from OUR store for the same thing. I shop here all the time. And ever since Marie Hartzog showed up she treats her customers ugly. She has been complained on before and was completely over looked by the District manager...Same way with a employee named Betty. She is rude and treats the other employees like they bother her when they need help with something. She os always outside smoking when the cashiers need help or get backed up, we have complained several times to the manager and yet she is still there. No smiling face nor a friendly greet when you walk in. Our store has a Kimmie that works here and she goes above and beyond to make sure we find what we are looking for always a friendly greet, knows most of us by name and HELPS with the DGcupons. Miss Kaity is a very bright and helpful young lady. We only shop there when certain people are working cause they take their time to help. Clayhatchee is a very small community and we are all very friendly but the store manager has made hateful comments about some of the people and thats not how a manager should talk. If this keeps going on I feel I need to contact the BBB and see what they say. Obviously the district manager doesn't care how his managers treat the customers. Please get her and Mrs Betty out of this store.

Dollar General store and manager

The manager is extremely rude. Raises her voice and rolls eyes at customers. She has no concern for the store or customers. We were told we could go shop elsewhere. We now drive to the next town to Fred's. The store is a complete mess. Stuff is blocking the aisles and you cannot get a cart through the store. The floors are dirty. The store is in total dismay. Even if it got cleaned up and straightened out, the manager is so rude, she will continue to run people off.

Dollar General the employee and manager

I live in sulphur louisiana I went yesterday to dollar general store on 2974 n beglis pkwy store# 10317. And was purchasing some items and tripped over a stuffed stool that was in the middle of the isle and twisted my left ankle and hit my left knee on the shelf the witness went and told the employee and she came to help me and my son went outside to get my friend then my friend asked the employee to give her a accident report the employee laughed and called the manager and the manager came and she also laughed and then it took 20 minutes before my friend was able to get the report. And they wouldn't give their names. I'm going to hire me a lawyer if nothing is done! They don't deserve to be working with the public at all!

Dollar General customer service/ cleanliness

Hello I am writing you as a frequent shopper at the dollar general. My store of choice has always been Warfield Dollar General in Warfield Kentucky #3407.
I have always loved this store and it had the best Customer service when a man named Nick worked there. The store was always clean as well and items were easily accessible. For the past three weeks I have been traveling an extra distance to go to the Kermit Dollar general in Kermit West Va. due to a rude employee named Kay. I have been Noticing that the store has went downhill in cleanliness the past few months. I went to the store today just because I was running late and didnt have time to travel extra and when I walked though the store I was shocked at the mess. I am writing you only because I have commented on both the rudness and the cleanliness and nothing has been done about either. If I owned a business I would not want my store ran like that or look the way it does. I am attaching pictures so it can be known how Disorganized and dirty your store is. Thank you.
