Dollar General the store

I'm complaiming about the state of the store at the FLagstaff, az location. It's seriously a dangerous store to be in, it is such a mess with product strewn all over the floor. I had to stop an elderly woman from tripping over a box strewn on the floor today. Pics of the chaos posted below. If I was a manager I'd be very concerned about a lawsuit when someone gets hurt.

Dollar General lease compliance

I work with the lease compliance team a lot with multiple store locations. With DG having such a high volume it's hard for this team to keep up. Please grow this division so that update communication is better. No one person ( or small team) can handle 500+ jobs EACH and be 100% with everything else. You would need at least 6 to 8 people to make this run more affective. Ridiculous! To be more efficient change the workload or hire more people for this division. It's not fair to the landlords the team or the stores.

Dollar General the entire appearance of the store

The entire appearance of the store is disgusting. When you pull up there is trash all over the parking lot. The metal on the roof is coming off. The dumpster out back is running over with trash and trash all over the ground in front of it due to laziness and know one wanting to pick it up. The inside of the store looks like it has never been swept or mopped. Something urgently needs to be done about this. Store # 14975

Dollar General the bernice, la store

The store in Bernice, LA is ridiculous. You can't shop in there because of the carts full of merchandise that either needs to be on the shelves or in the back. A lot of times you can't even walk down the isles because of these carts. You can't get to the shelves because of these carts. Today I needed toothpaste and had to move them out of my way to get to the shelf. This is every time you go in there.

Do you go in often or the same day of the week every time? You might be going on truck day, in many cases the back room of the stores is so small they have to put merchandise on the floor.

Dollar General manager/ harassment

I have been harassed by my store manager since I started working at the frederic store (11710) . He has made working completely miserable, he's a bully that constantly criticises my work, and spreads false rumors about me to coworkers and customers. He threatens my job, answers as long as he's store manager I will never advance in my career. And when I complained to my DM Brad Bowers about what was taking place, he took the side of the store manager Randy and basically called me a liar, saying I misinterpreted the situation, and yet the store manager still retaliated, by giving me less hours and treating me worse than he was. For a company that swears to have a zero tolerance policy against harassment, and retaliation, being the current victim, I have to laugh. Nothing has been done and I have never seen such a sicker sight of victim blaming and "men sticking together". Especially since there are witnesses and more victims. And if you were wondering, its all the women of the store, which is discrimination.

Rest assured this problem will take care of itself. Rarely does a district manager last more than 6 months with the company and the store managers dollar general life expectancy is even shorter. Stick it out, you will see changes in the near future.

Dollar General employee service

One store employee at dollar General in tupper lake is very rude to the customers when they ask if stuff that is not out she refuses to go look for it the employee name is Jeannie .this is not the first time I have gone to the store and had this happen to me. Also when up at the register she was very rude to all coustmers in the line also while at the register I heard her being very rude to other employees

Dollar General digital coupons

I was shopping at store number 08362 on 08/26/2018 and when I checked out my digital coupons did not work. It is not th first time either but this time it was 4 different coupons that equal to $4.25 all together. I phoned the customer service number first and they gave me the www.dollargeneral.com/dcfeedback website but I did not see a place to enter my information. So I am writing my complaint here in hopes it will be taken care of.

I had 3 coupons. i had the right items. I was treated like garbage. they called manager. I said I will jsut take the stuff (even though I didn't want it after her attitude. It wasn't the price) they said one item was free with their own coupon and they didn't want to ring it up. but They did ring it up and of course it was not in the bag. They reverse shoplifted . To discourage certain shoppers. What if someone has to go there for family or church, and can't simply go to another store? i mean, I would gladly never set foot in another DG . But I don't even hav e choice. I can see their side but they were VERY nasty.

And lets not forget the fact that most couponers go around the store and fill carts with items come to the register and find out their coupon wouldn't work on some items and just leave it up by the register. This leaves a lot of stuff for the already overworked employee to put back.

I went to the store in Fauquier county Virginia on Catlett Road. I experienced terrible customer service, I use coupons due to the fact that I have a large family not that that even should matter . There were a couple of items that I purchased that were on sale, and even though the photo on the digital app was the exact same product that I presented to the cashier they still would not take my coupons off. I checked my number to make sure the phone number I entered is the same on the account and it was, the cashier called the store manager and store manager basically said that there was nothing that she could do that if the app did not take the coupons off that she could not manually enter them herself. Now my complaint is this if the Dollar General put an app out there for you to download to your phone and go through all the trouble of putting coupons up so that they can be utilized why are the store managers and employees not able to put them through manually if the product That is presented to them matches the picture or the description under the picture why can they not be used and why are the managers not allowed to manually put them in this is very frustrating and often causes animosity and or hostility between the cashier and the customer.
And just one more comment why do the employee there find it so hard to be nice to the customer?
Because the last time I checked this IS MY MONEY THAT I WORKED FOR NOONE ELSE! And not just that, but as soon as I pulled my coupons out yesterday you could the look on the cashiers face TOTALLY CHANGE! To the EXPRESSION OF OMG NOT AGAIN! Meaning, another one of these coupon ppl!

I can tell you why cashiers get agitated at couponers. Its not the coupons itself, its the people that abuse them taking forever in line then next thing you know there's 20 people in line complaining then the manager has to open another register to clear the line. Then the manager risks getting fired by their DM if the workload doesn't get done. Because of that the cashier risks getting wrote up or fired if they don't get customers checked out fast enough. And corporate doesn't allocate enough hours to have extra coverage there to get everything done. Because of tension that's caused because of that, that's why cashiers tend to behave the way they do.

Dollar General manager at location

I went to Tennessee to visit family and while I was there I visited your Lyle branch and the experience was so appalling that once I was home, I just couldn't let it go.
Let me just say, the manager at this location is abhorrent. I visited the store multiple times throughout August and nearly every single time I went she was being incredibly nasty to her employees, making inappropriate comments to me (as WELL as other customers) about her employees are useless and don't listen to her and being generally unprofessional.
Someone who tells their customers their work problems and tells customers that they would rather be at their old location because their employees listen to them (and let it be known that the prices ringing up incorrectly had nothing to do with the cashier, no matter how much she was claiming it to be the cashier's fault) shouldn't be working for the company. It makes everyone look bad and it's like a lawsuit for the company waiting for happen. It should be addressed before things escalate.

Dollar General condition of store

Burgess store is an extremely busy store and doesn't employ enough people to keep it stocked. You should do a surprise visit. I won't go in there any longer unless it's my last option. Can't get down the aisles. Ridiculous! I don't blame the employees, they can't get away from the register long enough to stock and clean. It's a shame! Get it together Corporate!

Dollar General cashier/customer service.

My granddaughter and her other grandmother were in the store today. My granddaughter was spending $10 she had earned herself. She was very excited and behaving silly, she's only 7 years old. Needless to say all of the happiness and joy got sucked out of her little treat by a cashier named Crystal. When my Granddaughter passed her $10 to Crystal to pay she said "goodbye $10 I'll miss you" just being funny. At which time this cashier decided to roll her eyes and mutter something about spoiled children. Later it was explained to my granddaughter that the cashier wasn't mad at her and that she did nothing wrong.
I have no idea what training or education is offered thru this corporation but clearly Crystal is in desperate need of both. I would hate for anyone to lose their job but she may want to seriously consider a career change and the management for that store strive for a higher, more customer friendly level of service. Retail is hard enough without making happy customers miserable or having to explain miserable employees to children.

Dollar General manager at hornbeck louisiana

We need some help here! The manager is aweful! our Dollar Store is a damn mess! The manager is always on the phone! You cannot get up and down the isles...for boxes. There has been a busted box of Sunkist orange soda...on the shelf for 2 weeks! Really, this needs addressing! We as a community are so disappointed. We love our little town to look pretty...and this has become an eye sore! FILTHY! Trash outside the parking lot. Please help us!

Dollar General kelloggs honey smacks

I bought some honey smack cereal at a discounted price. When I ate them I got very sick and went to the ER. When I spoke with Kellogg's customer service I was then informed that they have been on recall and shouldn't have been sold. I'm very upset that I got food poison and I always shop at dollar general. I still have my receipt and the cereal, because something will be done. I got behind in my school work, because I was so weak.

Dollar General I am complaining about the young staff

The names on their shirts were Ryan and Jacinda, they looked like children running a business and neither of them cared that their eyes were red and both smelt like marijuana. Ryan barely knew what he was doing and Jacinda was so involved with her phone she completely ignored when I asked for help finding the syrup. I'm shocked you don't drug test your employees.

Dollar General employee

As I'm shopping in the store looking for what I need, I started talking to the cashier at the register and another cashier walked up and said that I have to leave I cant just linger around the store. Also as the customer I think that all employees should have good hygiene. Jean does not. She smokes in front of the door and smoke comes in the building as people are entering. She has this smell that makes me want to stop going there. Also she is rude and her attitude is horrible. After being told to leave her daughter shows up and lingers around but was not asked to leave. I'm not sure if this is because I'm african american or just a normal thing. She has people calling the store saying that her daughter owes them money for crack cocaine which I think is highly unprofessional. Something needs to be done, I'm not the only customer who complains. Ton of customers got upset at the fact that she asked me to leave without reasoning today.

Dollar General bathrooms

The Dollar general store in Summer field FL on US 301 . Their bathrooms have been out of order for 2 weeks now and I am a concern customer if their bathrooms have been out of order for 2 weeks now isn't it a health hazard to staff and public, if the bathrooms are out of order due to plumbing problem. The board of health could close the store due to plumbing problem. The staff is friendly and helpful to elderly and the disabled public. I hate to see the store close due to plumbing problem. Especially if one of the bathroom is plugged and no one comes in to fix it.

To you customers that keep complaining. You better not do it at my store. I had an issue with a customer. I the LP that they were stealing. I had to place batteries in their bag myself to make them look guilty. The best part of all of this was I got a gift card for catching the thief.

As a female employee we dont even use our own restrooms at work. You customers more ladies than men come in use our restroom, leave [censored] stains on our toilet seats and dont have enough courtsey to use the lysol wipes on the back of the toilet put there for that reason. Its gross. Sad we have to go in after every female customer to check.

Dollar General assistant store manager

I was in the store located in muldraugh kentucky tonight and witnessed the assistant manager cussing and being really rude to the cashiers. She was also not in any type of uniform and did this in front of numerous customer. I do not understand how this is acceptable. And as I understand this is not the first time that this has occured and many complaints have been filed against this assistant manager.

Dollar General music

While I was shopping in the dollar general in canton Oklahoma the workers were playing music with cuss words while children and multiple people were shopping it played for about a minute before they changed it to a different song that still had cuss words in it. This is not the first time this has happened while I was in the store shopping with my kids.

Dollar General filthy/dirty

This store is a MESS! I can't believe how cluttered this store is. It has to be a safety hazard. I live in a town that supports 2 dollar general stores(and we are a small town) The isles are always full of crap laying on the floors. Most isles you can't even get your cart down. It is so bad that I avoid going and will pay a higher price at our grocery store rather than fight the junk laying everywhere. The photos I have attached were from my recent visit when I thought perhaps things have improved...how wrong I was! I have talked to many people in our community that feel the same way. Also, I have been to other stores in different towns and they are not like this store. It's very sad!

Dollar General customer service

I went to the Dollar General store in Red House Va and i ask the cashier a question and she was very rude. On another occasion i wasn't given my change back. There are two register and only one is open and stood in line for10 mins. Also how come there are no African Americans working in this store. I thank that the cashier could be a little bite more helpful and not be rude when you ask them a question. I don't like to be followed threw the store like I'm stealing.

Dollar General girls in dollar general

I visit the dollar general in Pinson Tennessee very often, but it never fails, I think it's the manager Melanie Black, asst manager Kriss Vaughn and another another girl named Ashley Hinson, always with freight out in the back, not putting it up and always laughing cutting up and talk8ng overly loud where you can hear them all through the store. It's very annoying, to the point where I don't want to go back in there until something is done about it!
