Dollar General management

My daughter was working there and treated terribly. My father passed away 3 weeks ago and they wouldn't even give her bereavement. Her assistant manager told her to look for a bus route to bring her to work then she is told she doesn't even know how to do the job. Absolutely ridiculous for someone to be treated that way. I will call and message e eryday til something is down with Becky and Jersey. Store 11543

Dollar General dh home slider storage bags

I just went to the Dollars Store in Noel Missouri today and bought some freezer bags and storage bag. I bought your store brand. Here is the bar code number. [protected]. Here is the number stamp on the box [protected]. I got picture if I had a way to send it to you. Here my problem is I pull one bag out use it then I pull out another bag it had a dried up cockroach in the bag. I don't know if there any more. But that about made me throw up

Dollar General rude cashier

Hello My name is Shannon Trimble. I recently went to the Dollar General off of Belcher and Coachman next to Tommy's Produce last week sometime. I was there with my 5 yr old. My 5 yr old wanted to hold her Capri box to the line. When we went in line I told my daughter to put it on the counter, because i knew it was a bit heavy for her There was a customer paying in front of us, The cashier told my daughter and i in a rude manner, Just wait i'll be with you in a minute. I told the woman "That box was too heavy for her so i told he to put it up on the counter, I know to wait"
When it was our turn t be checked out, the first thing she told my daughter or said anything at all was "I can tell you didn't brush your hair" To my daughter!. I was shocked . She said it again. "You didn't brush your hair did you"? I wanted to say something but i didn't. Then I come home and notice I was missing one Item. My Campbells Chicken and Dumpling soup. I called for 3 days and it kept going to voicemail. I had no vehicle to get there my husband had it. I finally reached them just today. I asked her if there's a can of soup there on the counter. She just tells me to come in with my receipt. I asked her if she could at least look on the counter for me whole im on the phone with her. She told me to just come in and talk to the manager. She wouldn't even look for me while on the phone with me . Im just very disappointed with the customer service there. I don't have my receipt, even if i did how can i prove that it was left there in a bag. I know I'm out of my money for the Soup. This is not even about the money it's really about how Unprofessional they were and what she said to my daughter, I felt bad for my daughter that she told her that. My daughter asked me when we got to the car. Mommy' why did that lady tell me i didn't brush my hair?" I apologized to my daughter for her comment. I dont know if I spoke with the same person on the phone who rang me up and told my daughter about he hair or not. Almost seemed like it because of her attitude. I reuse to go back there again. It's a shame because that store is mins from my house and I love Dollar General. I just moved here . That was my first time in there and I had to experience that.

Dollar General dollar general service is terrible!

I went to Dollar General store and was very disappointed with their service. Or should I say - no service? I had some questions regarding the product I wanted to buy there was no one who could help me. It seemed like Dollar General employees were busy with doing nothing. There was a lady (Dollar General staff) and I asked her for help but she was talking on the phone and told me to ask someone else. It was not a phone call regarding work, and according to what I heard it was just a about private life conversation. Are you kidding me? Work is not a place for that kind of stuff!
Dollar General your service is poor, terrible and unprofessional. I will not buy from you!

Dollar General store closing at 9:47 pm

I went to enter Bryan Station Dollar General in Lexington Ky, 40505 at 9:47 pm to make a purchase and was refused service because they were closing and they are supposed to stay open til 10 pm. This was very inconvenient for me, especially since I had arrived 13 minutes before closing is supposed to be. I work in customer service and would never refuse a customer even if it were 1 minute til closing. This was very unprofessional and rude, don't think I will return, I may take my money to Family Dollar.

"I work in customer service and would never refuse a customer even if it were 1 minute til closing." If you work in customer service you must also understand that people coming in one minute before closing are selfish, obnoxious individuals who are usually hated by 99% of the staff.

Dollar General no services

Every time I go in this store, you have to go thru the whole store to get anyone to check you out. Sorry customer service! I work in customer service and I would terminate anyone giving this kind of poor customer service. Get a bell! At least let customers have a bell to tap so employees can know when they have a customer even though they probably don't use one because it bothers them to hear that bell. It's not about them! It's about the customer!

No, it's because the company can't be bothered to actually put money into their stores. I know a store who is practically holding their door together with tape for the past 2 years and get no response when they put requests in for the company to come fix it.
Also DG is pretty much a jack of all trade store if you work there. So no, a cashier isn't going to be standing at the register all day doing nothing but waiting for people to come up. They'd get fired for that. They have to be doing something, whether that be helping customers on the floor, helping to stock nearby, putting back unwanted items, helping to straighten and clean the store. So if you have an issue with that then you need to take that up with the company not the employees.

Dollar General assistant manager

My transaction total rang up to $80. and some change. Assistant manager had to make a price correction on a sale item that totaled $5.25. I also had a $5 off coupon. New total was $72.21. I asked why it was not $10.25 off and the assistant manager told me the total was correct. Argued with me in front of other customers. Proceeded to say "I didn't see the total so I don't know if it was really $80." The cashier even told him it was $80 even and some change. I asked if he was accusing me of lying? He said "well, I didn't see it" I asked if he was accusing me and his cashier of lying when she had told him the previous amount. He again said "I didn't see it so I can't do anything about it". I am sick of being mistreated by your employees. I am only trying to get the discounts your store advertises and they act like it comes out of their paycheck. He even removed the sale sign from the shelf of the men's underwear that had to have the price correction. DO NOT SHOP AT THE DOLLAR GENERAL IN LEOMA, TN! I even had another shopper tell me they had removed items from her shopping cart once they started ringing her up because they had rang up for a penny!This is against your own policies. I have never heard your employees argue with men about anything. If a man complains, they correct it and apologize. They consistently mistreat women and they consistently make pricing errors. The assistant manager was very rude and I have witnesses that he made remarks about me after I left the store. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau about this particular store and I will encourage my family and friends to shop at other places.

Only they're not allowed to sell items that ring up for a penny. Technically, they're supposed to constantly be on the look out for anything that rings up as a penny and throw it away.
And yes they're supposed to pull ads that aren't coming up properly because it's technically false advertisement. If someone reads the ad in their pamphlet then yes, they'll do a price override. But removing it in store is what they're supposed to do or else they have customers cursing them out for 'scamming them out of money' even if the employee explains that they'll get someone to fix the price for them.
Also actually ### off because no it's not the employees that set the prices. They don't go around to each individual item and determine how much it is nor do they set prices in the register. That's on corporate. So any ### ups are because of an error in the system not the employee, and they usually do what they can to fix it. And hell, I wouldn't be surprised if other customers made remarks about you if your attitude to the employees were anything like this post. Cause I certainly would if I was standing in line behind you and you went off like this.

Dollar General cigarettes

To whom it may concern,
I would like to lodge a formal complaint against the employees and the store located at 7710 Highway 9, Inman, SC 29349. For approximately 15 months, my uncle and I have been daily customers and patrons of the above store. We go into the store at the same time each day and spend approximately $20 a day at this store.
In the past, we have encounter minor problems. We have always spoke with the manager and expressed our concerns kindly.
However, approximately every 3 months not enough Eagle cigarettes are ordered. Each employee knows us by sight and asked if we need the particular cigarettes that we smoke. We, only, buy the Eagle cigarettes at this store. This is the brand that we smoke.
This problem has occurred again. It is felt by my uncle and myself that as loyal customers we are not valued. The same employee, Edward, has not ordered enough. He knows we will purchase approximately 2 cartons of these Eagle cigarettes a week. Please note we both smoke Eagle orange cigarettes.
Please handle this situation promptly. It is not our wish to take our business elsewhere.

Only the employees don't order anything in the store other than things that are used in the store like bags, lights, shelving, and the like.
They can do counts of what is and isn't in stock for both merchandise and cigs, but other than that it's out of their control.
And if an employee tells you otherwise then they're lying.

Dollar General rude employees

2/13/17 i went shop at local dollar general (cowpens sc) and the staff was very rude to me. they demanded i leave my purse at front by the store by register. when i refused, they were really hateful! they could've stole something out of that purse. i don't trust them. an employee there was flirting with my husband and tried to rip me off. so this is not the first time this has happened. they only got one manager and she's the good one but she's never there! these toothless, uneducated have bad attitudes and complain about their jobs and they only make $9 an hour. if they don't like it, they ought to go back to school and get educations. they even banned me from the store because of this! i've got every right to carry my purse in there. these employees do steal! These employees who were so rude to me ought to be fired! thank you.

Dollar General manger

I went to the dollar general in summer shade ky store 11626 and the manger briana gray is always out side smoking right by the door and I have also notes that her and the employee travis has something going on hes always blowing kisses and I have seen him smack her butt and I don't think that should be going on in a work place. I also know that on jan 11 at around 945 that night she had to a guy in the bathroom and was in there with him for a while I don't think that sex should be going on at a work place just look at the cameras and your get all the info on this if you all think I'm wrong I think that store need new management and it needs new employees to if that's how they are going to act in a work place.

Dollar General store disarray, looks awful!

This store is in total disarray, I'm so embarrassed to for our small town. I would like to know where the store manager is? Who would let a brand new store get like this, it's obvious the manager of the store is clearly not doing there job. I went back today thinking I was over charged, I talked to one of the girls that worked there and she showed me the sign for the sale items, but you can't tell because of products not being put in the right space, there are toys on the floor, some shelves empty, others with stuff all over the place. I would love to take pictures and send them to your corporate office, this store is about a year old, it's embarrassing, not going back until someone cleans it up and much needed organization is done. I'm not the only person in our small town that is complaining! Not Good. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Dollar General unethical behavior/poor management

2/11/17 complaint on store manager name tag said (david)very unprofessional an rude.Grand opening in lerona, wv .They were giving out 50 10$ gift cards, but when arrived no one was giving them out, i had to ask assistant manage for them an the manager had them behind the counter with him at the register an no one was getting them like he was keeping for himself or others that he wanted to have them.The assistant manager ask him about it he didnt seem very happy about giving me one an im sure others in line ask for them too cause they didnt have one either.It ust seems like the assistant manager should be managing the store, he was very greeting an helpful to all, but not the manager.The cashier was very greeting too.

You need to hire a new manager at Medicine Lodge, Kansas store
she just walks around with a frown on her face and will not help
anyone if line is long to check out she does not care-also need to hire GOOD cashiers some do not even know how to check anyone out lines are always way too long and shelves not stocked Please hire a New Manager everyone in town complaining about her

Dollar General manager

A manager at your 14th street location named pat used the n word and obscene language on the phone while in her "office" several people overheard her conversation and walked out. I shop here regularly and this is the 3rd time she has acted unprofessional while on her phone yelling and cursing I sincerely hope you take action or I will bring her racist language to the attention of the local naacp and have the news involved.

Dollar General manager

Once again I go to the dollar general and the "manager" is outside smoking. And within five feet of the door as usual. Every time we go here I have to bring my son inhaler because the manager is always outside smoking. I don't know how it seems like anytime we go she is outside. It's either a coincidence or she smokes a while lot. Most companies only give smoke breaks at lunch unless the person is working many hours. I never see the other workers outside much and it seems like if they are it's their lunch and they are sitting in the bench outside. But you can tell this woman is just running outside to smoke so she stays close to the door. But this is the example she is setting for the other employees and it doesn't seem very professional. The customer service is not what it used to be. Last time this woman rang me up she was on the store phone takking to either her husband or boyfriend it sounded like. You could most definitely tell it was not a business call. Managers should for one be held at a higher standard than regular employees and two how can she tell her employees to follow company rules if she doesn't do the same? But back to the main problem. My son should not have to take his inhaler with him to go to the store because we have to walk through a cloud of smoke to go inside. I think we will start going to the store up the road because this one is just not professional anymore.

Dollar General cashier, jessica

I went to the DG and had a coupon for $5 off $5.01 purchase. As I was there, I noticed that the other cashier, Jessica, was waiting on a customer with buggies of Tide. As she was checking this person out, I noticed she was only paying about 18 cents per transaction. Later discovered that the girl she was checking out was her girlfriend, Abby. I found this to be an ethics issue since she shouldn't have been waiting on her at all. Also, found it disturbing that she told me I wasn't allowed to do another transaction and use my digital coupon, since she was clearly allowing her girlfriend to do numerous transactions.
I feel as though this kind of behavior is and could lead to other issues with the products in your store.

Dollar General trashy, tall weeds, nasty.

Taco Bell side of intersection is mowed and weed free and landscaping is wonderful, Dollar General side looks terrible. Don't even want to enter your store because the grounds look like a dump. Not kept mowed and weeds taller than I am. There is trash dumped all over the General Dollar store intersection. Why would you want your store grounds to look this way? This is a brand new store and is nice inside. I am so disappointed how the grounds look like a dump. Hooray for Taco Bell grounds and care of their side of the intersection.! Thank you.

Dollar General pepsi products on sale

Sat. Jan.28, 2017 @11:13:21 I went to Dollar General #03596 Hwy.80 Pooler, GA.
I went to this store because the Pepsi products were on sale 3 6pks. Or 12pks of the products. No where on the add did it say that you could not mix the cans / bottles. I purchased 4 6pks. of diet mountain dew, 1 12pk of Pepsi wild cherry and 1 12pk of mountain dew code red believing that because I had bought 2 combinations of Pepsi products that I was eligible for the discount. The only reason that I did not buy all diet mountain dew bottles was because they were not available. The receipt number is as follows; 899405564214839610721963419919924317231162. I went back to this same store on Tuesday 1/31/2017 @ 10:51:15. When I inquired about the error I was informed that it didn't qualify because of the way the registers are programmed. I was treated as if I was insignificant and not able to read. If the registers can't be programmed to match the advertisement then the add needs to be changed. When I mentioned that I had spent my working life in customer service and we were always trained to work with the customer and try to come to an agreeable solution. Not only was that not done, I was even yelled at by a customer. I could deal with the loss of the money after all it was .16 for the difference in one item, .67 on another and the last was $1.32 as well as the difference in tax. I object to the way I was treated, I don't believe that is what customer service is all about. I was informed that I should consider the possibility of taking action against the company legally. But I felt that informing the company and waiting to find out how you respond to my complaint. I will appreciate a response as well as an adequate outcome.

You can mix and match pepsi and mt. dew. The problem was the fact that you got Mt. Dew Code Red. Check there to see if it is a different price than the normal and diet dew packs--should be around $4 while the others are about $4.70 give or take. If so, then that's why. Code Red doesn't apply to those sales, neither does voltage. Though I believe that has more to do with the contract pepsi has with DG than anything else. Sadly not much employees can do other than price overriding that side of the sale.

Dollar General customer service

Reviewing complaints against your store I believe customer
Service on top followed by rude employees
And employees need training
My complaint covers all three. Yesterday I went to our sore here in Corpus Christi Texas#10665. Made purchase, took items and 2 hours later realized I did not have my complete purchase, missed 2 rolls of paper towels, I went back with my receipt, expecting courtesy, not a chance my paper towels were not there, cashier rude, not helpful, I ended up purchasing additional towels, price was minimal $1 each, but I strongly feel it was the principle of this situation, the terrible attitude of these clerks. I shop there frequently, and when ever there is a problem, I always receive this unprofessional rude attitude.
They seem not to check if customer has all their packages. During holidays I ended with 2 bags of Xmas lights that I did not purchase, i took them back, now I wonder where they ended up?
Is there anything that can be done regarding rude, not helpful employees at your stores? Perhaps I jus need to stop shopping there.

Dollar General customer service/store cleanliness/manager incompetence

Store #07111 on January 29, 2017 I went into the store and noticed an extremely long line (from one end of the store to the other). I proceeded to shop and found several empty packages on the shelves, the floors were filthy there was trash laying on the floor. I asked for a bathroom key so I could use the restroom and that was a mistake as there was water on the floor a mop bucket in one stall with a molded towel laying next to it no paper towels or any way to dry ones hands. I shopped for about an hour and the line was still long so I got in line and waited for 20 minutes (no kidding) an employee came up from the back twice but did not help the manager also can up as the cashier called for help twice that I heard and told her he was busy finishing the truck and he still had to count down another drawer before he could help her. Now I have worked retail for about 15 years and it has been my experience as a manager that you hold off on putting out the merchandise until a slower time and take care of customers first. While I waited at least 5 potential customers walked in looked at the line and turned around and walked out. Lost business. I used to shop at this store for many years before moving away needless to say I was very upset to see this store go so far downhill and in such disrepair. This is the only store in this area one would think they would take more time in keeping it up as business is not lacking and could be better with a little effort.

Store located on main street in Waynesboro, PA 17268. I shopped in this store on Sunday 1/29/17 2 approximate 1:15pm. The person who checked me out was one of rudest employees that I've come across in a dollar general. I ask her to put the doll that I bought my granddaughter in a separate bag so she could carry it and you would have thought I ask her to carry it to the car. She rolled her eyes at and sighed at me. What happen to customer service. Its no wonder people don't want to shop in your store. She needs replaced by someone who wants to work and has a personalty. I will never enter that store I will go to the store on Buchanan trail where they are friendlier. She's a disgrace to your store
