This is a complaint about a Dollar General in Conway, South Carolina:
I am so tired of rude clerks! Can someone relate to this!? I like shopping at Dollar General, the prices are right and I go there often. But I have ruled out one location because of a rude clerk. I have been putting up with this person for a while, just kept thinking she was having a bad day or something. She has never said "hello" when I walk in, never says hello, how are you, did you find everything you need, etc, the usual polite things a clerk is supposed to say to a customer. I have always been polite to everyone, no matter what the situation, even if the other person is being an a__.
Yesterday I went there again, and there she is, having a friendly conversation with the customer in front of me, then when it gets to be my turn, she looks at me, I smile, and she sort of "jumps" like I have cooties or something, and said nothing to me, and I get the usual silent treatment. Then I wrote her a check, and she says (like a mean police officer) "I need to see your license". So, I showed it to her, thinking I was going to get arrested at any moment (I'm sick of that, too, every time I write a check at a store, I get that same treatment).
I don't know why this clerk doesn't like me, I have never been unfriendly to her, on the contrary, I have always tried to be nice! Why do clerks do this to people? I am sick to death of it, and I am tired of being treated rudely.
Look, people, if you don't want to work as a clerk, quit for God's sake, so all those other poor unsuspecting customer like me, don't have to put up with it.
I drive to town to avoid that store. The main manager he is cruel mean and nasty to employees and customers can hear. Eric is also nasty to the customers. He was mean to my elderly father. All employees need to quick.Avoid the store. Heard him many times call employees names and thin its funny.The man is mentally abusive. Need to get rid of him.

Door and online says it’s open till 10:00 ok (on Sunday) I showed up at 7:14pm and they were closed! Roads were fine, wasted my time and gas.

My market is on Polk City Florida #13296, my complain is a question: IF YOU SELL PILLSBURY TOASTER SCRAMBLES WITH STRAWBERRIES AND OTHERS FRUITS FROM PILLSBURY, WHY DON'T SELL TOASTER SCRAMBLES PASTRIES PORK SHOULDER W/BACON. IS ONE OFF THE MOST SELLS IN WINN DIXIE AND PUBLIX?
The employees are always working hard and curious however I went to shop in summer time and air conditioner was broken, I went again a couple weeks later and was still broke. Management apparently doesn't care about employees suffering in texas heat in summer. I wouldn't blame them if they all walked out.

I was accused of stealing. I'm not a thief and payed for my items even after she accused me. She said she has me on camera. Lies because I didn't steal anything and she don't have me on camera either it's not possible. I ask to see it and she said she couldn't show it to me but yet she can lie on me. She's the one who should be locked up. Blind b.
I spent $92.09 and did not get my $10.00 OFF.

On 9-7-23. I noticed a $21.99 withdrawal and after investigating they found the withdrawal was from Dollar General from a purchase, 8- 25-23. The electronic department explained there was a problem with your system. As a result, my account has been overdrawn costing me an additional $58.00, $29 for each insufficient fund.
I agree 100 💯. Rude Unprofessional Behavior . There are people who are angry at the World .
The Dollar General I go to Every one is nice Excellent Customer Service . I only had one unprofessional cashier .
This driver is a danger to anyone who comes in contact with him. I have photos of the property he destroyed and anytime he comes through we are in fear of him taking out our cars or building. He needs to be replaced before the damage becomes worse or god forbid he hurts someone.
This loud dollar general truck has been idling for days in front of our neighborhood. We can not sleep its so loud. Its againt Tx truck laws to idle a semi truck for 24 hours like this. Please help and stop this.
The self check out system is great for the customer, except i have noticed the employees refuse to check someone out with a register using cash, they all say that they dont take cash, you have to use self check out.That has happened to atleast 4 stores here, coumbus, ga
In July the strawberry sparkling water started to be flat. No fizz at all and it tastes like metal.
The other flavors seemed fine ! But I mostly drink the strawberry.

Not racist but the black lady that works in Leesville is rude to customers and lazy does not do her job or help customers and if you say anything to her she automatically says it's because I'm black. She is the racist one and stays outside or talking to her friends more than doing her job. She is not a asset to the company
I was never charged with the charge I was arrested for the case was dismissed and I am trying to work back at same store so trying to get this taken care of
Very mean, talk down in front of customers. Be littles you and your work. Customer notice her behavior. She got in to it with a customer. Shouting and screaming in front of customers.

Dollar General delivery driver truck # 81516 parked right in the middle of a crowded parking lot in Santee, SC Dollar General. He parked in everybody's way and blocked one young lady in leaving a few inches between his truck and her car. She asked him to let her out but he was very rude. There's a designated area for trucks to park. 7/3/23
u-boats were blocking the electrical panel walkway early in the morning, i came in at 3pm and did not notice the blockage/ this was done by the assistant manager. I was terminated for this on july 5
So, the manager does not like her job, or people...I wonder how people like this get into management ? why even in customer service? i drive 10 miles to ellaville , becaue the location in buena vista is lacking customer service and energy... Just dry !
spring bay illinois , had to wait 10 mins for the emplyeee to finish her ciggerette before we could check out date 6/25/2023 10 am, older lady was also very rude while we checking out we asked if there was any ant baits in back , she replied ,I dont have time to check , noone else was in line ,she had time to smoke .
Question
Are managers allowed to park in one of two handicap spots in front of the store, if she does have a handicap plaque?
Would like this resolved with gift cards. It’s happening to often.
Today, 06/09/2023 i saw your driver with truck #38446 cut someone off horribly heading south on I-430 in little rock. all he had to do was slow down to allow a merging car to get on freeway. However, he quickly turned on left signal but cut off a black chevy suburban bad.
on july 10 at 2:30 pm i walked over 1 mile to dollar general on my crutches in wright wyoming only to met dollar general clerk at front door that tells store in closing for at least one hour and that i’m to come back then this is the 3rd time that i’ve came to store during their business hours only to find store closed
I was served a warrant at my workplace dollar general store #10246 on my shift the type of charge that was listed is why termination took place. Charges are being dropped and will not be on record. I would like to still work at same location and my position is still available. Will I get my job back?
The people that work at dollar general are not to blame for the conditions of the stores corporate is if you would stop trucks coming every week with [censored] they are already overfill of u are the ones losing customers not the employees so quit batching at them when it's your fault
I 'am 67 old .I went to buy cigarettes. you 20 something employee .would not sell them to me .said because my ID was out of date they will not sell to me. AGAIN I AM 67 and LOOK IT.
On April 20, 23 a Dollar General transfer truck driver backed into my truck damaged the bed and drove away
Dollar general #03653 in Reeds Spring Mo needs someone to visit their store for their pricing issues. Every time I buy something from there, half my items come up 0.50 to 1.50 different from what the price says it is. And they refuse to do anything about it other than to blame someone else
This needs addressed.
I shop in the Downtown area of Columbus,Ohio because I started investing in the company's stock. I ask about a clearance rank and the lady cashier was very rude. Even when I ask the cashier to find their manager because of the rude I counter. I ask for the Corp number and said I would report. Today's date is April 16 2023.
You say there is a penny sale but when I went in the store and asked where the penny stuff is the person working said we pull it and send it back so our store doesn't lose any money.
I walked in with $500 cash, specific asked for a RELOADABLE debit Visa/Mastercard
The woman working pulled a card off the shelf, told me it is RELOADABLE and it is NOT.
Now this is somehow MY problem and not the store's. This IS NOT OK.
