Dollar General a rude manager that talks ugly to customer and to workers and never smiles

I used to live going into the dollar general here in Geneva AL on hwy 27.but here lately I don't wanna go in there.they use to have all very nice employees that worked there but now they are all rude but one.i have to say the manger is horrible and rude to customer I seen a lady with a dog walk into the store and she told that woman she had to leave and take the dog out.she said it was her service dog.she said I don't care what kind of dog it is dogs are not allowed in my store period.well guess what I want be going back nor my family or friends untill it has a new manger. I can go to Walmart or somewhere else instead of there.

Dollar General long lines with only one register open all the time.

The Dollar General on S 31st in Temple Tx has been horrible ever since it was renovated. Their is always only one register open but there are several employees in the store. I don't know if they're doing loss prevention or what but no matter how long the line there is always one register open. I just stood in line for 15 minutes for paper plates that is ridiculous please for something about this thank you .

Dollar General credit card machine at checkout

I am a regular customer at the Dollar General located 30420 Lake Shore Blvd, Willowick, Ohio 44095. I am in the store at least 3 times a week. I find the store convenient and friendly. However, the last few times that I have been in there, the lines have been incredibly long. Last night, I waited around 25 minutes in line alone. I asked the employee about the issue, and she stated that the other cash register could only take cash because the credit card machine was damaged. I only had a credit card, so I was forced to wait in the long line. A few people did have cash, but the majority only had cards. I like the store for the friendly staff, competitive prices, and convenience. From my point, waiting in a long line is anything but convenient. I could very easily run in and out of another store instead of spending my money with your establishment. I hope that this issue is corrected in the near future.

Dollar General manager

The manager Mary Stokes at the Dollar General in Guthrie Kentucky store number 7068 is pure horrible. She has the same cashier Heather working every single morning. Neither of them are nice or happy. I decided to stop shopping until the night crew comes in. She bullies the crew and shows plenty of favoritism to one employee. I use to love shopping at this store at all hours of the day until Mary came a long.

Dollar General brad - manager zionville, nc

I'm contacting you concerning the new manager at the Zionville store, Brad. I frequent your store on a daily basis, I have yet to have a pleasant encounter with Brad. He has been very rude to me concerning the digital coupons, complains to customers about his job and the fact that he was placed in the Zionville store, is VERY rude to employees, and never offers his assistance in opening another register when they are very busy. Brad does not want to be in Zionville and we really don't care for him here! Please give us our friendly Dollar General back!

Dollar General green dot re-load

I have always had my Green Dot prepaid card reloaded at the Shelby, Ohio 44875 store on Gamble Street. A manager there does not like me and attached a note to all employees on that specific reload card, directing them to never reload Green Dot. One employee did it for me anyway and of course, went through. Someone needs to address this issue. The name of the manager is Sheila, she is bitter and won't let anyone use the online coupons also. I always use "clipped" coupons online. She is the only one that has no patients. If she would quit tapping keys on the register while our coupons are adding, she would not have any issues. She always has the excuse that the system is slow, although, she is the only one that has issues... Again, she is the only one like this. She does not have good customer service traits... She needs to learn patients! Thanks!

Dollar General I am complaining about the way I was treated by the manager of 8491 in pangburn arkansas

I went into the pangburn store to return keys to a friend of mine who is employed there and the manager linda was very rude to me as soon as I walked through the door. I witnessed as she was being very hateful to the other customers already in the store too. She snatched the keys out of my hand instead of allowing I return them to the girl they belonged to and said I wish they never started allowing black people to come in here. It was very degrading to be spoken to with such a racist comment so I have talked to a lawyer already and he said we can go forth with a lawsuit if your company doesnt do something about this hateful woman who really makes your business look bad. She is mean and hateful and also racist

i am so pissed right now i dont know what to do.. we have a DG store a block from our home.. i spend on average of 200 dollars a month there... and put up with the chity service... the last week i have really been aggrivated.. they are offering scott towels at 1.99 on the stickeer on shelf but at regestar is 250 .. first time didnt notice it till to late.. went back yestarday and made the cashier come and look at price tag and she still wanted me to pay 2.50 i told them to get it straight.. went today and got some and the same black cashier who always has attitudes with whites told me that the price was 2.50 and i told her to change the damn price tag ot rake it off the shelf.. she got really nasty and asked me if i wante dthe rest of the mervhandise.. i told her HELL NO.. and she got really nasty and said i would never be allowed in that store again WELL GOT NEWS I MAY GO TO JAIL TOMORROW BUT I AM GOING BACK AND I AM GOING TO TALK TO MANAGER AND IF THAT DONT WORK THEY WILL BE REPORTED TO THE CONSUMER PROTECTION AGENCY SINCE WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS AGAINST THE LAW...I AM SICK OF BEING TREATED THIS WAY AND WONT PUT UP WITH IT ANY MORE..

Dollar General the manager deb. at storeno. 16799 new store in hamstead nc 28443

I am complaining due to the fact i randall sessoms spoke to deb. A week ago ask her nicely to check on getting a copy of my wife that used to work there (anglee c.Sessoms)last pay check stub and she said she would make a note and call next day, she never called.So my wife goes in a week later and deb
gives her my wife a phone number to call that no body answers the phone or no one works there sat on hold for 2hrs.37mins. Never spoke to anyone.So yesterday (12/10/17- i randall sessoms- went in store and deb was on phone just walking back in forth behind counter and another young lady ask me if they could help me and i said very politely that i need to speak to deb.When she gets off phone and i will wait outta of the way til she gets off, the young lady said your welcome to, (she was nice) then all of a sudden deb. Comes from around the counter thru the line of people who waiting to check out & looked at me with attiude face & said while on the phone what you need, & i politely said i can wait and she persists to ask me what i needed and i said well the number you gave my wife is not any good and cannot get anyone on the phone to get a copy of last pay check stub, deb.Got an attitude w/me in front of customer's and said well she's not in system, with a bad response to me and i said mam it is not my wife's responsibility to go thru all this to get a copy of very last pay check stub, it is yours as as the store manager or owner and by nc law when requested you are the one to provide it, and my wife she should not have to go thru hoops to get a copy of her last pay check stub, and deb.Walks off from talking to me while on the phone mumbling something back to me w/attitude, she doe's not care to do her job nor doe's she care about customer's or she would of handled this properly.She is rude and this is not the first time she has been rude to me and she has no reason other then she is the one running all the employee's off which there are getting ready to be 3-more quit due to her attitude.But my wife anglee c.Sessoms had left working there mainly because of deb. And very few health reasons and all my wife needs is her copy of last pay check stub, her phone number is-[protected] anglee christine sessoms and she needs it a.S.A.P. Now that deb has taken so long, so if someone could do something about management and help get my wife her copy of last pay check stub things will be fine.And secondly deb.Has made comments of banning people from store so just to let you know, i spend a lot of money at that store and if she thinks she going band me for her rudeness and her problem's she is wrong all the other temporary employee s are nice and have always been.Thank you randall j.Sessoms

Dollar General unethical behaviour

Store manager is very rude to customers i was behind a lady who was treated so badly! by store employee a younger guy said he was the manager . I put my items down and left the store. Not only will i not shop in Jackson Michigan Dollar generals because of that. I also think he was on drugs because he smelled of marijuana. I didn't catch his first name but last name was Morris. People deserve good customer service.

Dollar General unethical behavior

I was next in line behind a customer who had a dog(puppy) in their arms checking out. I know that dogs are not allowed in the store. Faith (cashier) reached out to get the dog from the customer and held it against her chest and began to rub the dog while myself and another customer was waiting to be checked out. When I laid my stuff down on the counter to be checked out I first asked her, " Would it offend you if I were to ask you to wash your hands after holding that dog" She said, " Yes, because if i want to hold the dog I can"
I said, "Your not suppose to have animals in the store unless it's a service animal"
Doing that time she walked away and put sanitizer on her hands .
She then said, " I told them that, and if you don't like the way we run this store then you don't have to come here."
I said, " Where is your manger."
She said, " I am the manager and if I want to hold the dog that was my choice."
Another employee walked up and told her that she would finish ringing me up. I asked her for the customer service number and the employee name she gave it to me and she apologize for any inconveniences. I thanked her for her service.

Dollar General manager cindy begay

I travel 2 hours to get to Page, AZ. This will be the 2nd time this manager has given me problems instead of good customer service. I received horrible customer service from the manager Cindy Begay. I was directly speaking with the cashier about the price on childrens toys since it was Buy One Get One 50% Off. I carried 3 toys to the register hoping to get a quote on them. But immediately the manager got involved saying "We cant ring up the toys unless your gonna buy it" I said, "I am interested in buying the toys I just want an exact price because Im on a budget" she literally started giving attitude to me about it. Once I was walking out the store she was acting friendly and nice to other customers entering. I didnt get a friendly encounter from her at all. I believe she is racist. Because the 1st time I had a issue with her she would get angry at Native American individuals and soon be nice to Caucasian customers.

Dollar General mushrooms/ management

I purchased some packaged mushrooms 12/11/17. The were extremely beyond rot. This is not the first time. The service at this store is not good. There was no meats, shelves empty. 1 cashier and a line nearly to back of the store. It happens frequently. This is store 17958 BAD BAD MANAGEMENT . I WITNESSED MANAGER PLACING NEW CANDY ON TOP OF OLD. FIRST IN FIRST OUT. THIS LADY DON'T CARE

Dollar General manager giving specifics of a complaint about an employee to the employee

On Wednesday December 6 2017 at approximately 6:30pm I went in to the Dollar General located in Andover Ohio. There were 2 employees working that night. A woman with blond hair. And another young woman named Caterra Broyles. Upon finishing my shopping I was at register 1 and Caterra was checking us out. When we approached the register she was on the phone with someone. She kept giving the customer attitude. After she hung up she proceeded to complain to me about how annoying the gentleman on the phone was. I then told her that I knew for a fact one of the employees has drugs in her system. Her response was "well I'm sure lots of people do." The very next day I got a text message from the employee I reported. So obviously Caterra had told her exactly what I said and what I looked like. She had absolutely no right to give out my information. Now because of this the employee that I reported is threatening my job. The employee's name is Jessica Glusic. I'm appalled that Caterra had the nerve to give out my name and what I said.

Dollar General employee at your store is extremely rude on multiple occasions

I live in Windsor ny, I am delighted we have a dollar general so close to home. I am disturbed at an employee Serena. On multiple occasions she has been rude, abrasive, does not greet you, has a look of disgust on her face and makes you feel uncomfortable at checkout. I do not know her personally so I have nothing to gain. I notified a manager 2 weeks ago of her behavior but the issue seems to linger. If I am taking the time to Lodge this complaint that speaks volumes.

Dollar General cashier

I went to DG today at 4pm central with me survey coupon and cashier Aija declined the coupon because she wasn't able to type in the bar code. The bar did not print on the coupon so I wrote the code on it. Aija was rude, did not apologize for not being able to type in the code. I asked for the manager and she said the manager was off. I explained the code was manually entered the last time I used one about 3 week ago and she acted like too bad I can't so it's you problem. When I was on my way out of the store without my items Aija smarted off to me. This apalding service is not what I would expect especially when trying to use a coupon DG provided for completing a customer satisfaction survey. I am extremely dissatisfied with the unprofessional and anti customer attitude and unwillingness to help a customer. I will share my experience with DG warning. DG is customer unfriendly!

Dollar General wrongfully serching me and my belongings as I come in the store.

December 9th 2017, I had come to dollar general to buy a bottle of make up. As I came in the front door the security beeper was going off. Scott had stopped me and asked if I had new merchandise and maybe sensor was still on it . I said no, my purse, coat, clothes was not new.
He then was looking in bag as I had opened it. Nothing was found new. I'm very insulted that this had happen to me as I come into the store. I feel I was wrongfully accused and stopped illegally.
I will be filing complaint and suit against the store. Good Day ! Sharon Hook

Dollar General rob from payroll

I called Payroll yesterday (December 8, 2017) to try to receive information for my grandmother to change her password to sign on to see her pay stub. I had all her information to verify that I had permission. She didn't have a computer and needed help getting it done. Having a conversation with Rob was nothing but beyond disrespectful. I could have called and lied and said that I was my grandmother and he would have never known. Instead I explained the situation. He states "we are not allowed to give that information without her permission." I stated that I had all her information (ID and Social Security number), so obviously I had her permission. At that point he began to speak to me like I was an [censor] and became very condescending. I understand that he may have been having a bad day, but so was I. After he started talking very slow to me and being very rude, I explained to him that I wasn't an [censor] and didn't need to talk to me like one. After that, he stated "You are being very rude and never call back here again." I got off the phone in tears. There is a certain way to be in customer service as I have been for many years. You should not have customer service representatives like that. Considering that my grandmother called back a little bit later and talked to Rob yet again. He did not even have her confirm her information. Just asked "This is Mrs. Hult?" He had no problem giving out the information then. Didn't have her confirm any information. You may want to reconsider who you have dealing with your employees because it could make you lose a lot of good hard working employees.

Dollar General manager

Hello my name is Cheri Powell and I worked at the dollar general located at 123 hilsmere Annapolis MD until I was fired this past Thanksgiving my issue is with the manager chlarrissa she seems really nice at first but she is by far the worst individual I have ever worked with I was an excellent employee I never missed a shift yet there were times when I would arrive from and she would say "oh sorry I forgot to call and let you know that I don't need you today" very unprofessional and I was always on time and stayed later than I was supposed to as she required me to. Majority of the customers complimented me for my excellent customer service verbally to me as well as Chlarrissa and so did the other employees and managers. My other issues are that my drawer repeatedly began to come up short whenever I worked with the asst mgr Carla when I said something to her about she mysteriously so called found the money and put it back my point is she was stealing it and another issue as to why I was fired early Thanksgiving morning when I could've been home with family instead I volunteered to work as I entered the store chlarrissa was in a bad mood fussing at me saying she was mad because I wasn't collecting donations for St Jude I told her respectfully that I was off for 3 days so of course for those 3 days I made a substantial amount of money collecting donations she pursued to engage in an argument with a said that I haven't raised any money which is an outright lie because my 1st donation was $10 and I received many more after that so as I proceeded to do my work and assist customers she's still engaging in this unprofessional like act yelling and cursing all in front of customers so at this point I get upset but I still keep my calm so I say I don't want to argue so if this is what you want to continue to then I will leave for the day or I can stay she told me to leave I left quietly the next day comes and I'm not thinking I don't have a job anymore but the other manager Tammy calls me and asks for my side of the story she totally agrees with me because she has also witnessed this behavior and advised me to contact Rick the DM as well as make this complaint Chlarrissa is totally unfit for this position she has a very mean streak about her I have witness her harass curse and just down right rude to everyone who comes in the store she gets complaints all the time and she does not care about the store it's filthy and disgusting and no one likes to work there strictly because of her just look at her records and you will see for yourself how many employees come and go within a month's time it's outrageous and someone needs to really investigate this whole situation of the seemingly nice yet devil In disguise Chlarrissa Q if there are any questions that you may need to be answered you can contact me via email [protected]@gmail.com thank you for whoever is reading this

Dollar General the store

This store is so dirty. The floors has been sweep in a long time lots of trash on floor. Half the Isles you can't push you're cart down shelves on stock or on the floor. I took pictures I just can not believe how bad it has gotten in the past year. All I ever see is the people standing around. The only one I saw working today was the coke God cleaning off the shelves to put his Coke up there now that's bad. This is the way it looks all the time.

Dollar General employee/district manager

I purchased a phone from store#13908 in Valdosta, Ga. On 12/05/17. After purchasing phone I tried to activate it through the service provider but the phone was not scanned properly so it could not be activated. I returned the phone and had it scanned so I could activate it but it still did not work. I tried to get a refund but the Store District Manager Jeff said I couldn't because it's not on the store it was on the service provider to give me a refund. So, I asked could I exchange the phone and he said he could not because the phone was opened. All my years at shopping at Dollar General has made me stay away from them all due to poor customer service, employee training and very poor leadership. All the stores may not be like this certain store but believe me someone needs to look into what's going on in this store asap.
