Dollar General unprofessional manager violating company policies

The manager at dollar general on 7th st parkersburg wv # 6325 is very rude and unprofessional to employees in front of customers and rude to customers, yelling and cursing at employees and customers. I am in this store several times a day and know the employees well. The leads bust there butts everyday trying to put stock away and make the store look good. I won't mention names but the 2 leads that have been there for a while are the best employees at the store, they are always helpful, friendly and do an awesome job with what they have to deal with they are very dedicated to there job and the one that closes at night all the time would work double if she could every week just to make the store! Took good and organized. The manager ryan is always on those girls downgrading them in front of everybody. Gets yelled at about everything in the store even stuff they don't do and those 2 are the best employees i've seen they should be making double there pay. While the manager is not professional the girls are apologizing for the managers behavior. The manager hired her husband's cousin and almost immediately up her in a management position with not experience and she can do no wrong with ryan, the other managers get yelled at for stuff she doesn't do while ryan always defends, her cause shes family. The assistant manager quit because of this favoritism and getting blamed for stuff ryan's cousin in law did. The manager immediately jumped her up in the assistant manager position within 5 months maybe of her working there with no experience, she's not a social friendly person, she's rude and customers don't like her. I hear them telling the other girls ilk the time about it.. She is not qualified for the position and is rude and unfriendly just like the manager, now the family runs the store and the best employees get [censor] on. That should not be allowed to happen and if it wasn't for the other great employees myself and a lot of others wouldn't shop there anymore and on top of that she expects them to get everything done she tells them to do which is impossible because its a busy store whether they work off the clock or not, they don't get a brake. Have to get customers out of store by 10 and be out by 15 after putting pressure on them cause she yells at them if there not, cutting back there time so they have to work off the clock, except the am she doesn't get in trouble for anything. She also says there late if there not clocked in at 5 min til everyday, yelling at the lead she's late in front of customers and she wasn't. She's expected to clock in early and lose those minutes so the manager can leave.. She also wants them to run in and cover for her while she has appointments without being paid. And go to bank. This manager should be terminated. I'm in this store a! Oat and I see a lot and this needs to be addressed. Thank you

Dollar General ignoring calls for employment/not calling about application

My fiancée applied for the Susanville Dollar General store about a week ago. She called just about every day to check on the status of the application. She was told repeatedly "We're getting it together and be calling people to let them know if we're interested or not. " Apparently this was a lie as they have yet to call back. She also just checked the website and it was shown as "No longer being considered" And they refuse to answer her calls.

It's a pathetic display. At least have the decency to tell her you aren't interested instead of giving her false hope. You're pathetic, your company is pathetic and your products are pathetic.

Dollar General dollar general conneaut lake!!!

I was in the store a couple days ago with my twin girls an we were shopping, they say all the toys an I knew from other store that they are having a buy 1 get 2 free sale so i asked and they said no we arnt doing that sale so we were walking around the store and my one daugther went up to the cashier an asked why they arnt having the sale and asked is all the other dollar generals better and with out hesitations the worker looks at me an asked if my daugther is stupid or just plain dumb I was so pissed off i said i will be calling your manager later and ill make sure u dont have a job tomorrow i mean seriously why would anyone called a child stupid or dumb especially right to her face! So i call the manager the next day an she tells me that I was wrong and that she doesnt believe me that her workers would never do that, so i told her that i will never shop here ever again and ill make sure that the whole crawford county knows how horrible this dollar general is and i swear I will, i wont stop till everyone knows how horrible they are and they lose all business!

Dollar General condition of the entire store.

I am making a complaint against our Dollar General the new one maybe two months old now and since day one it has been filthy. The old store was just as bad. They will bring products from the back totes and boxes and carts full of them and they block the aisles so we can't get to the product that we need so therefore we have to end up leaving and going across to Fred's who has them very very at fantastic store. Fred's manager make sure their stores clean the owls are always clear nothing's ever out of the way and every thirty two products are neatly on the Shelf constantly someone is always working the floor to make sure everything is put up in this right place. However Dollar General is not like that I mean their store is ridiculous and I know they don't clean the manager said she didn't get paid enough to do that and the other worker said it wasn't a part of their jobs they weren't doing it either says they pull the stuff out from back leave it in the aisle for at least a week and it's aggravating trying to go to a store and you can't get to any of the products. I know for a fact from working through Driveline that they have a meeting and I get together and clean the store the night before the district manager is to come in and check everything out cuz it's clean when they show up but as soon as I leave it ends. I have a few videos I'm going to post for y'all to see how nasty the store is thanks.

Dollar General customer service

I along with 12 other customer in the check outline waited in line to get checked out with only one checker. The Manager "If you want to call her that" gave the checker change looked up at the line and proceeded to go to the end of the counter and talk to a friend about what she was doing tonight and what she was bringing to the cookout. She than proceeded to go to the back of the store in disreguard for the PAYING customers in the line whom have been waiting for 25 minutes. A Paying customer got out of the line and went to the back and told the Manager that the cashier needed help. I work in customer service and this is unacceptable. I don't think that I will ever go back into that store #03183. This is not the first time this has happened. I will just go up the road a few more miles to WALMART. THIS STORE IS IN SERIOUS NEED OF A DISTRICT MANAGER. There are so many boxes on the floor or in buggies that a customer cannot even get down the aisle. When the manager finally came up front she took the person in the line that was closest to her "NOT THE NEXT PERSON IN LINE THAT HAD BEEN WAITING FOR 25 MINUTES. OMG THIS STORE NEEDS SERIOUS HELP.

Dollar General employee response

I live on Hatteras Island, NC. we have 2 locations and I have been in both. I HEARD, along with OTHER customers the manager. A young black man entered the store and very politely asked if the store was hiring. She very rudely replied, " IF YOU HAVE A RECORD DONT EVEN BOTHER".I was shocked and felt so bad for the guy...BUXTON, NC ...The 2nd incident was today in Waves, NC...evacuation started this morning and I was purchasing some rope, the cashier said, WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE, YOU SHOULD BE GONE...I've lived ed here almost 20 years but I just walked out...

Dollar General digital couponing and app

I have a major complaint with Dollar General. I have contacted via email and phone calls several times and no one has returned my calls. I am unable to utilize digital coupons because it is telling me that my phone number is already registered with another account. Please contact me asap! This is so unfair! I shop at dollar general more than anywhere ELSE!

Just so you are aware, anyone can use any phone number they choose to use Digital Coupons. I personally use an old phone number I once had that for all I know is in service again and belongs to someone else, just because it's easy to remember. Just use another phone number or make one up.

Dollar General online coupons

I shop Dollar General locally very often. I also have the app that allows me to use mobile coupons. This is the second time this month I have been to the exact same store and I was told that either I couldn't use the mobile coupons or that they didn't have any control over the mobile app as far as getting my discount. Today when I went I was supposed to have a mobile coupon that took off a certain dollar amount of my total purchase which was over the qualified amount and that was not taken off of my bill. I am just wondering why I'm wasting my time using the app and price matching if I'm not going to be allowed or the store isn't going to have any control over taking those funds off at checkout.

Dollar General digital coupons & condition of the store

on 9.23.2017 I went to the store #01726 at 17:15:34 in Vernon, Texas. I couldn't use my digital coupons because the server was down. I would like a refund of my coupons if at all possible.
The store condition is awful, nothing is stocked and you can't move freely around the isles.
the clerk was very nice and asked if I wanted her to take off the items I had coupons for since I couldn't use them, I said no since there was a line behind me and I didn't want to inconvenience the other customers waiting to check out. I should have just said clear it all and not bought anything at all there. I won't be going back to that store.
Here are the numbers from my receipt I hope to get a refund check for what I am owed.

Profiling is so wrong!
On monday the 18th day of september my significant other shopped at your store in hatley, ms everyday at lunch because he is a construction worker and they are building a house about a block from your dgstore. Clayton lewis moreland is his name. He went in this day and got his usual items went to the register and put them on the register counter when he realized he had left his wallet in his truck, he explained to the cashier that he needed to go to his truck and get his wallet. The cashier scanned all his items and he paid for every singe item. Clay got his bag went to his truck and started back to work when he pulled onto the road a police car with his lights on pulled him over. The policeman explained that he stopped him because he was being accused of stealing just because he forgot his wallet. The policeman searched clay and his truck and found absolutely nothing. Clays reciept showed every item he had was paid for. Clay is in construction and his work clothes may be dirty from work and he may be dirty from work too. But these employees are very judgemental towards some people. Clay ended up being late getting back to work after lunch and the embarrassment of being stopped by a policeman and his truck being searched on the side of the road in a town that he works in and in front of the house that they were and still are building. Clays'coworkers and his boss seen the entire thing. Can you imagine how embarrassing that had to be. Your store in hatley lost about 13 customers that day. It was monday the 18th day of september, around 11:00 am. I'm writing you because we love to shop at dg but with employees that are profiling customers just because of the way they look or in this case forgot his wallet we really had rather drive about 5 more miles to walmart. I hope you can correct this problem as soon as possible because clay isn't the only one they have wrongfully accused. This is a small, very small town and word gets around very fast. I would appreciate it if you would reply to my email because I want to know you are taking care of this matter before you lose even more customers... Sincerey lisa d webb

Dollar General manager or assistant manager; don't know her title... rude, uncalled for, unapologetic behavior

I have lived in overton, tx for 7 years and shopped at dollar general store the whole time. I have never had any problems until about two weeks ago. I was in store looking around and I noticed employee was near me or passing by me very frequently. Was on candy isle getting last item getting ready to go check out, she stops at end of isle an loudly says; you can take that pen out of your purse now!; my purse on my shoulder, I look up, she's talking to me, so I lift my hand up with pen and another item in it and show her it was in my hand. I didn't day a word to her an she says, well don't be sticking stuff in your purse and walks off. No I'm sorry or nothing. I could have said something but I didn't. I am NOT! a their, but because of the way I look I guess she assumed. I am not happy. Now every time I go in there and she's there she (inconspicuously) follows me. Her name is Fran that's all I know. She's rude always looks mad and is not friendly with anyone. Please take care of this matter so I don't have to and get myself in trouble for something I didn't even do. I would like a response to my complaint too. Thank you.

Dollar General the whole store

The store in manchester, ga needs a serious cleaning! You can not walk down 90% of the isles in there bc they have boxes blocking it, everywhere you look. I had my 15 month old baby with me, he was in his carseat. I had to literally hold his legs up when i was trying to get thru so that he didn't hurt himself. I will never shop there again! I've never in my life seen a store so overcrowded and unorganized. It doesn't matter what day of the week you go in there, it is always like that. They need new management and/or better employees. Something needs to be done about it!

Dollar General employee

I was I'm the Reeves, Louisiana store and witnessed the Manager Ms. Melissa verbally attack a customer, and I believe it was very unprofessional.
I don't believe customers should have to watch the manager be belligerent in a family business. There could have been children there. Don't know if I will be shopping there again. I have also asked friends, neighbors, and family not to shop there until action is taken.

Dollar General coupons

I have been told my coupons could not be used but the lady 2 people in front of me was allowed to use the same coupon. Is this discrimination or what? I believe if your not going to except a coupon then it should be for everyone not just me.. I spend probably a 1000.00 a month at this peticular dollar general. And if I have to I will get an attorney to resolve this issue her name is Jen I am assuming is the manager.

Dollar General getting a product

Complaint is for 1906 East Oglethorpe Albany, GA 31705 location

My husband had to ask twice for Tide pods they have locked up in their store. They claimed they lost the key. The workers never once tried to open where they have the product locked up at. My husband asked them if they can try to break it open, and they told him no. In my opinion that is a good way to lose customers.

Dollar General outside of building

The sidewalks to this store are terrible and extremely dangerous, someone is going to get HURT! These sidewalks have been bad for a few years now and they are just getting worse every year and no one has done anything about them. I love going to this store but it is dangerous for my little kids to walk outside the store with me without me holding them because everywhere you walk the sidewalks are a tripping hazard.

Dollar General can't walk down aisles

I went to dollar general in solsberry Indiana today and you can't walk down the aisles because they have carts full of boxes in the aisles . Shelves are bare too. Waited at register forever for a cashier because the was standing in the back talking and in break room talking there was no employees watching the store. This store is terrible and I keep hoping when I go back it's better but it's always worse it looks like a warehouse instead of a store. Management must nothe know what he's doing because I've not seen any improvement since it's opened.

Dollar General personnel

I visit the dollar general in Hickman, KY on a very regular basis, seeing how our town doesn't have much else to offer in the way of stores. Most every employee is professional and courteous, save for one. The lady's name is Passion, and I have seen her talk down to customers and vendors quite a few times. It has certainly had an impact on my shopping experience, to where I find myself shopping at EW James and the Little General. It's truly a shame, because everybody else there excels at providing exceptional customer service.

Dollar General rancid milk cooler never cleaned. bacteria contaminated bottles! potential for sickness or death!

To Whom It May Concern: And I Pray that means all Corp officers! A new store recently opened this year on Hwy 115 Statesville, NC. At first glance when you go in the store is immaculate. But I went to get some milk and when I opened the door the stench almost made me vomit. Now I'm telling you all this because my next letter is to the health department and have the store shut down because of contamination. The milk cooler has layer upon layer of spilt milk in the bottom. NEVER cleaned! The bacteria in that cooler gets on the bottles. The bottles are brought home the bacteria gets on their food they get sick and possibly DIE! The people in the store have been told and warned of the potential hazards with NO RESPONSE! They act like they don't care. A class action suit against your Corp would not make them care either because it's not them! Three months have gone by and The smell and milk are still in the case bottom.If this review is not addressed then I will have no choice but to call the proper authorities.

Rev. Rande M. As a footnote; I purchased a 1/2Gal. carton of Lactose free milk and the cashier charged me $8.47! I questioned it she said that's what it was. I left but two days later I came in and asked how much the item was. They scanned it and said $3.97. When I told them what happened they asked if I had a receipt and of course I did not. But I told them who the cashier was and that she would tell them the truth. I saw that girl the next night and she said she told the manager of the mistake and the manager said she would call me because I had left several cards because I'm a local Pastor. I've never received a call and they all know they owe me the money but no-one, again, cares! This store has the worst help for customer consideration I've ever seen. They'll smoke outside while you wait for them at the register. To most of the clique there customers are second to what they're doing! Clean? Forget it! Since I brought up the cooler issue to most of them...Well let's just say when they feel like it the store gets cleaned but not the cooler for the milk! RRM

I went to shop at dollar general store 4789 in douglas ga 1730 s Peterson ave I have had the worst customer service by an employee named Andy he argued with me numerous of times and tonight in front of other customers he chooses to tell me not to return to the store I was not pleased at all and so I called his manager up front to assist me and she just told me not to come back to the store when Andy is working
