DNA Insurance Services insurance

This is not a complaint I am making but I have just seen all of the comments on here and would like to have my say, I have been a customer with DNA Insurance for over 10 years and have been satisfied throughout infact there has been times when my renewal has been due and I have been offered cheaper prices elsewhere but I have chose to stay with DNA due to them always looking after me and providing excellent customer service. I think the reviews on this site must be one off cases and there must be more to the story as I can vouch for DNA that they are in no way a scam. Thanks DNA for always going above and beyond to make me a happy customer.

DNA Insurance Services DNA insurance

Took out a policy on the 3rd Feb 2017 and paid £200 deposit on debit card.. 4th of Feb DNA informs me they cant add my son to the policy as he has a SIA certificate so I say cancel it then even tho said policy doesn't even start until 20th Feb ..they tell me it will cost £140. In admin to cancel the policy. The policy doesn't even start for another 16 days so why is there a charge . they say there is and its £140. I ring the bank but they say they cant stop the payment as it it pending. I write to DNA and couple of days later the pending payment is no longer on my account . 16 Feb 2017 DNA take £200 from my account. In the mean time I have written to the insurance ombudsman who have replied but seeing as the payment was no longer pending I didn't feel the need to pursue the complaint. Surly this payment was unauthorized as the pending payment was cancelled and then applied for again.

DNA Insurance Services Motor trade insurance

Had a quote for £800 which I accepted. Paid £200 deposit then was told very very quickly now you have paid the £200 you will be debited £101 per month for 9 months. Hang on the premium is £800 and now its £1100. I just paid £200 so the interest on £600 is £300. No thanks cancel it. Let me look at it he says. Ok. He gets back to me we will knock £60 off. Ok I say but only cos i'm sick of ringing round. . 1 day later get call. Your son cant now be on your policy even tho he is 28 been driving for 10 years never had a point never had a bump but he cant go on it because he has a sia card ? I said whats one of them. Its a security industry authority card which means he has been passed by the police to do security at events and public houses. Oh yes I said he used to be a door man and I have talked him into working for me full time to get him out of that type of work. Ok ill cancel it then. They say they want to take £140 from the £200 I have given them as a deposit even tho I haven't witheld any info from them and the insurance doesn't even start till the 20th of feb 2017 its the 3rd as I am writing this. Rang the bank lloyds. They say as I have given it them willingly I cant do anything about it. Oh and it took 27 minutes on hold for them to tell me that.

DNA Insurance Services Car insurance

I had received ok service from DNA for my mother's car insurance over the past 2 years. However my mother did not realise she had been given penalty points (SP30) on her licence and on ringing DNA to say ask what the extra premium would be to pay I was quoted £93.00. I asked why this was so high (more than 33% increase) I was told DNA did not know and even if they asked the Insurer L.V. they would not be told. I said this was incredible and would the extra have been less had my mother remembered in time (3 weeks previous) for her actual renewal, I was told it was £93 and DNA would not know if L.V. would have charged less at actual renewal date. On asking to be passed to a manager or another dept, I eventually found out that £40 of the extra premium was due to an admin charge by DNA. This should have been pointed out when I queried the extra. Not acceptable - they were trying to hide this from me.

All motoring convictions should be disclosed when arranging a motor insurance policy, so that the correct premium for the risk can be calculated. If an error is made, and you need to amend the details later. The insurers are entitled to charge the difference in the premium, to what they would have quoted had they known about the conviction. Depending on how long the policy had been running DNA would advise you on the best course. ie: paying the difference or alternatively searching for a more competitive annual policy. Also DNA do charge a £40.00 mid term adjustment fee for any amendment to the policy. We can run through the options for you, if you would like to call again and discuss it with customer services team.

DNA Insurance Services Minibus Insurance

Terrible company with terrible, rude, arrogant staff that are not at all helpful unless you are giving them money. Please don't make the mistake I made by dealing with this company stay well clear I wish someone had warned me. I even had one of there staff laugh when I was trying to explain my complaint wish that guy was in front of me at that point. Bad bad bad company don't deal with them.

DNA Insurance Services Stay away

Totally mis sold a policy which did not cover our business type

wrote to us last october telling us the policy was cancelled, after 30 days.Have not given us a refund of our deposit but insted are pursueing us for the full value of the policy/

A more incompetent bunch i have yet to see.

DNA Insurance Services DNA insurance fraudulent company

Charged me 1020 pounds for insurance, i cancelled a few days later they promised me 820 pounds back which i thought was riduculous since 200 pounds in admin fees is extortion. Anyway i had no choice but to agree, 3 months later and many emails and phone calls later they put in 520 in my bank account and told me to #$%# off basically. Do not use, traders beware, better to use reputable company

Same to my daughter . They cancelled policy although she sent driving licence three times via their site uploaded . Called them three times . Cancelled with no notification left may daughter who is nursery nurse unaware of no insurance for nearly a month . Stated sent letter 1/4 however did not as I open all my daughters mail in her absence . Notified her by e mail nearly month later and gave her back April installment . Letter arrived 22/4 U owe is nearly 500 quid with no explantion why threatening debt collection in 7 days after already informing her her account was 0. I have now taken over matter as I work in law told them not paying nothing until ombudsman and FCA confirm its lawful . My daughter cert is not paying that for any admin fees one letter and two e mails. I tried to e mail via two addresses in letter and both bounced back inactive accounts . Don't sign up to these people I am now posting on all sites FB and Twitter and any attempt to come to me property will go all over i tube. I await the debt collector to see if he will committ fraud in my doorstep in which case the police will be called.

DNA Insurance Services COMPANY NOT GIVING REFUND

hi there my name is parves hussain my telephone number is [protected] pls read my complaint and when you do all of the victims of D.N.A.INSURANCE cuold get together and inform the newspapers cause i think we have a very good story and we could make a difference so that there will be no other victims in the future and put a stop to t his dispicable bahaviour and the worst customer service skills of paul smith. d.n.a i nsurance are utter theives .do not trust them.i took out insurance with them about nearly a year ago . it was only about nearly 2 months into my insurance when i had a incident with a 3rd party driver where the 3rd party tried to make my car clash into the back of him so i thought id let my insurance know just incase the 3rd party tried to do a fraudlent claim.when i took up insurance i was working but then lost my job about a month into my insurance and because i did not let them know asap they wrote to me to say they have cancelled my insurance but really it seems to me they done that beacause they thought the 3rd party would put in a claim but anyway to cut long story short i paid about £454.00 in total and then i was told 2 months in that i had no insurance at all from the start also after i was told this they still took 1 month instalment out of my accont. they told me that they will give me full refund as i have never had insurance with them but i would have to wait 6 months just incase 3rd party put in claim it was 6 months on 23rd of april 2009 so i rang them on 23rd to see when i was getting my refund they told me that their statement comes in at end of the month then they will refund my money on 1st week of may rang again to see whats happening about refund they informed me that they were my brokers and that the insurers have not paid them so they cannot pay me. i spoke to the finance manager paul smith who was very rude and had no customer service skills whatsoever . i then got in contact with the insurers and spoke to admin team leader who said she will send money straght through to d.n.a and she adviced me that if my brokers d.n.a insurance wanted to as a goodwill gesture they could contact her to get assurance off her that she has put the payment through and then they could refund me asap. i then rang d.n.a and spoke to paul smith the finance manager and explained what she adviced me about the goodwill gesture but he was having none of it he was rude and arrogant and basically told me to get lost in not those exact words but thats what he meant he then told me to phone back in the first week of following month which i have done again they say they have no statement again i am being fobbed off. now d.n.a are telling me to contact them on monday 8th of may then they will let me know when i will receive my refund but after reading all these complaints i am not holding my breath i will be taking this matter to small claims court and contacting whatchdog and after this message of comlaint if i get enough people getting in contact with me on my phone number which is [protected] i will take this story and with your help we can take this to the newspapers as i feel we have got a very good story here pls do not hesitate to contact me you can also miss call me on my phone as long as you let your number come through to my phone so that i can call you back. this situation with d.n.a. has really put me through alot of stress and we should not let companies and managers like the likes of PAUL SMITH the most rude and arroganrt man i have ever had the displeasure of speaking to so if you want to stop this company from putting anybody else through what we have had to deal with and make a difference pls contact me .

D.N.A asked for 250 deposit at start of renewel after a year with them. We paid. One week later we were told they'd refused to allow us to pay monthly, cancelled the policy and told us the deposit was non refundable which according to F.S.A guidelines is illegal. Constant lies and misleading information every time we contact them to the point where I now record any calls myself. Scam to the max.

Can I say nothing ever gets said nice about a company it's always the bad stuff that gets told and never a good review so I would strongly disagree with your comments above. DNA insurance are not a scam I have just taken out a motor trade all risks policy and the customer service has been excellent. I would highly recommend Laura Coull if you need a problem solved straight away. I was trying to add some vehicles on my MID myself but they were declining. So I rang up and spoke to Laura and she went away and within half hour like promised called me back and advised me of some information that I wasn't aware of and didn't actually need to add the vehicles on because I didn't get them taxed. I have spoken to a few people in the past and I think they could learn a lesson or to from her. Thank you for your excellent work.

I had a worst experience with DNA insurance too, I was only insured for about 6 weeks n at the starting paid for the full year which was about £1100, when they cancelled my policy bcaz of not providing my no claim bonus documents and I was not needed the motor trader policy anymore, they cancelled the policy and refused to give me the refund, so I paid they more then £1000 for only 4 to 6 weeks insurance n they refused to refund me and I had nothing of them, I rang them many times and they refused to refund me anything !

People, I'm a motor trade insurance intermediary, have been for many years. Cos of industry regulations I cannot in my workplace disrespect any insurance company, but on these boards I am anonymous!

My experience of DNA is two fold - customer feedback (telling me pretty much what I've read above) and myself contacting them when doing market and pricing analysis of our competitors.

Everytime I speak to them is an experience. I've spoken to I think everyone of their sales staff and they are all as useless as each other. I am stating facts here:
- they're arrogant
-they lie
-they misquote
-they make up rates without prior agreement, take your money, then increase the premium if they cannot get rate agreed
-they refuse to email quotes (because "our rates change daily" - RUBBISH)

There are other companies out there with shoddy service, but DNA take the whole packet of biscuits and come back for 2nds.

Remember you get what you pay for with EVERYTHING

From looking at the DNA Insurance website, it seems that they specialise in cheap taxi insurance. Don;y drive taxi's so have not used them. However most complaints can be settled by following the official complaints procedure of the insurance company. If you still feel that they haven't resolved your complaint then the next point of contact is The Financial Ombudsman Service. http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html

hello my name is Danny i am a customer of D.N.A. i have a motor trade policy with the company, i have had the policy for 8 months and decided that i can employ someone so when i found someone to work with me i thought i should add him onto my insurance policy so i rang and spoke to someone called Darren I don't remember his surname, so i gave Darren details of the second driver and this guy was so rude he started to ask questions like (do you pay tax for this person, and how is he going to travel 60miles to come to work, and many more un-relevant questions ) i said to him this is none of your business even tho you do not have to pay any tax for the first year of trading. so anyway Darren went to get me the quote and put me on hold and i waited for this quote for at least 27 minutes eventually i had to hang up and rang them again. they finally got me a quote but was really put off the company altogether. I think the level of of customer service is absolutely poor and the workers need more training.

I have used dna insurance brooker for the last year or so and i have learn't they are rubbsih i have recieved other people's details a number of times and they went into my account and took some money out without my permission now i am struggling to get that money refund back it seems like i will have to take legal action aggainst them so message to all the motor insurance and taxi insurance just be careful when the name comes up dna insurance brooker and try not to use them if you can and tell all the people you know not to use them they are based in romford essex

I took out insurance with DNA and they cancelled it because the document they reqiured I send at 4pm, they said i shouldve send it before 2pm, I said but you never mentioned the 2pm you just said thursday is the last day, now i cant feed my kids because of DAN cancelled my insurance and blacklisted me no other company insure me

This is incredible. How has nothing been done about them if all of you have had the exact same problem? If even ten of you got together and spoke to your local news station, the story would gain traction rapidly and likely make national syndication. Or regional at the least, and something would be done. Don't just complain about [censored]. TAKE ACTION! Within legal constraints, of course.

DNA is a scam company, they renewed my policy but did not protect my NCB, when I rang and queried about this which was within 14 days cooling off period, I been advised they cannot do the mid-term adjustment therefore the policy needs to be cancelled and take another policy out. This resulted me with the £170 additional costs on top of my policy,

well im with DNA and my renewal is due in 2 days and all ive had from a so called team leader is disrespect and arrogance, I asked to speak to a manager Friday too be told she's in a meeting then on speaking to the same person today she had the same patronising arrogant attitude and conveniently the manager was just going into a meeting yet again.. certain to say ill be looking elsewhere too spend my money.. anyone would think its them giving you money..such a shame as a few years back they were a lot better regarding customer care

Possibly the worst insurance brokers I have ever used in my 10 years of being in the motor
Trade.

They quote very low to try and get your business, as soon as they have your money all they do is make demands left right and centre. Asking for proof of trade and driving licence is fine, they then went on to ask for pictures of the car site, gates, entrance roads, proof of why I have access to the site, pictures of vehicles uploaded on my MID parked within the site. Then after that, more threats to cancel policy if I don’t send them an up to date lease. Next they will ask for my shoe size...
When I went to cancel the policy and find another insurer they couldn’t as it was outside the cooling off period, so I asked that they found me another insurer as a broker and surprise surprise they could not do so.

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy, I would recommend using other brokers and definitely look at company’s reviews before using. Now I am stuck with them for a year - or lose £500.

basically, i was supposed to get a refund regarding the deposit i paid for the car insurance policy. i spoke to one of the menber staff before who was extremely friendly and explained when my money will be refund on what date too. comming to the date which was wednesday 18 january 08, my money was not in my account. i therefore phone again yesterday 22 january 09 and spoke to that employee paul smith with an agressive and threaten voice telling me that he will call me in half an hour. he never did, i called again and this time stated "arent you listen i said i will call u later so why are you calling again" then promptly hand up on me. today 23 junuary 09 i called and had him again out of all advisers. he was arrogant, agressive, bold and called me an immature person, never let me finish my talking and theathen to cancel the refund of my policy. he is very rude and need to be sake. he spoke to me like if iwas a little girl telling" what else would i tell you that i already know" he then put me on to pause for 2 minutes and spoke again with that rude tone telling "listen lady your not happy hang up the phone". he has a very stinging attitude toward customers! i just asked him the details of the refund. i lost this year alone £255, 000.00 from my investment and will not lose that money even if it's petty cash! i will take every legal action against this company and will not let it go until i get every single penny i deserve.
