DISH Network - lies to secure contract, overbilling, scam

This is my second complaint. Dish salesman lied to me about their internet service to secure a contract. It does not work with xbox live!. For the short time that I had it connected, their internet service was non-functional more than it was functional. I got tired of it and switched to a local cable provider for internet. I alerted dishnet to pick up their internet equipment, which they did before easter. I am still being charged for internet. I just talked to a representative, who told me that he can see that I am still using his internet service... Even when I have no equipment. Dish and dishnet are both scams. The salespeople lie to get you to commit, and then they screw you any way that they can. Their billing for internet is simply a scam. They will run you past your limits and then offer to charge you more for "better" plans. They see me as using their internet when I have no modem and no dish... What a scam!

DISH Network - misleading sales pitch

I entered into a satellite tv and internet combination based on lies from their sales representative. I wanted HD satellite tv and high speed internet. I wanted specific channels...DIY Network, HG TV, Tennis Network, Velocity. I also told them that the internet service had to support X-Box live action. i even told them what games my kids play on line. They directed me to the most expensive tv package and the most expensive internet package. Verbally, I was assured that the tv and internet options selected would meet all of my needs and requirements. They lied. The satellite internet WILL NOT support X-Box live gaming. I found out today that I have a download limit, that I am not on the best internet plan...so my speed has been cut to nothing (unless I pay to upgrade). Also, some of the tv channels are only available with pay channels like HBO, Showtime, etc. When the three month trial was over on those channels, Velocity went away as well. The whole contract (tv plus internet) was based on lies. They will not honor what the sales rep. promised. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DISH NETWORK OR DISHNET!
