OPEN LETTER TO ALL,

I have had the most ridiculous thing happen to me. I am upset enough to do something about this situation, but I am not quite sure what or how to solve this particular problem. Just believe that since January, 2007, I have been racking my brains and decided to let the public know just what happened to me.

I had what I thought to be an ongoing online relationship the a woman names Tene Prager, working as a billing agent for Runway Moms. This show is seen on Discovery Health Channel daily. I wrote her from the outset as it regards a business opportunity, she responded and we had what I considered an ongoing honest relationship for about 2 to 3 months.

I am a retired school teacher who delight in making crochet items. I even use labels that identify me as such. I have sold some items, but wanted to expand. I wanted, but she suggested that I might have a few of my items displayed on their programs with some of the babies that they have on occasionally, with professional photographs taken of these items giving me the credit as the maker of them. The babies was then to get the items as gifts for this project. She even suggested that I forward her a bio and some samples of my work, suggesting that I call her so that she could put me at ease as it regards her trustworthiness.

I have done all that I can and I am soliciting your help since I believe that there is power in numbers. Let them know that they have crooks, liars, cheats, among them that are employed to cheat old women out of what truly belong to them. Just a few lines should do it and most importantly stop using the products that they make money from as it regards these type of shows.

I forwarded them Runway Moms during the month of November, 2006 under certified postage and by December, 2006, Tene acted as if I did not exist and stopped having a email relationship even though, I continued to write her occasionally. She did ask that I sent my bio to their Stork Magazine editor, Jenefer and silly ole me thought that I would get this professional set of pictures with my bio so that I could use them to increase my business. I guess by now you know that did not happen.

It is my most sincerely belief that Tene took my items and gave them away during the Christmas Holidays without the less bit of thought as to what she has suggested and promised me that she could do.

I am just wondering if what I have written above does anything to your moral standards. If it makes you feel a little sick inside and wonder if this can take place to me, what on earth is the world coming to? This America, after all and this kind of thing just does not happen to good people. Right?

Hindsight is 20/20 and now that I look back, I guess I was just too anxious to get my items out there for the benefit of increasing my small business. Needless to say, I trusted her and see seemed genuine. Now I am ashamed to admit that I took out time and sent about 15 handmade baby items, with labels with the hope that she would do as she promised..

If you are as unhappy for me as I am for me, I would appreciate it if you could let Discovery Health Channel know this since I first saw these people on their channel and made contact with them based upon viewing them there.

Go ahead and let the Discovery Health Channel who is suppose to be spreading goodness as it relates to the total health of all of us just how unhappy and displeased that you are for what happened to me, since they will not let me know that they have heard from me.

Runway Moms is shown on television under the Discovery Health Channel daily and what I know is that someone’s babies are wearing my items without me getting the advertising that I was promised for these clothes. I can also tell you that I was never financially compensated for what happened to me.

DISCOVERY HEALTH IS DELIBERATELY MISTREATING THE ELDERLY. THEY ARE AIDING IN STEALING MORE THAN $2,500.00 FROM ME.

I grew up in a very small southern town with my parents making sure that I did the right thing. I am more than certain that they did not want anyone to come to them about my behavior. I am a 68 year old female and I have done my best to live that way to this day.
Highly moral behavior is always the order of the day for me.

Last year around the latter part of October, 2006 while trying to look at things on television that might feed my old mind --- something of importance as it regards my health, I chose the Discovery Health Channel. I use to look at Discovery Health a lot. The program that was being shown, at that time, was Runway Moms, dealing with expecting mothers and their babies. I thought how unusual and different. The head creator of this program had a show on that introduced all of her sisters and brothers working for her and again that impressed me.

As stated before, I am an older female who get much delight from crocheting clothes. I have a small hobby-type/business making hand made items for others, and thought that I could increase my line of clothing by making baby items. I took it upon myself to email Runway Moms. It was my hope that we could use combined efforts to help me with my business. My first email to them had to do with “A Business Opportunity.”

One of the participants of this organization answered my email and we developed what I would call a friendly relationship. Her name is Tene Prager and she agreed that my idea might work with this company. She even suggested that she could get professional pictures made with my crochet items, showing my label with some of the babies so that I could get some advertisement which was exactly what I wanted. In exchange for this advertisement, the babies would get to keep my crochet made items. The idea seemed too good to be true. Tene even suggest that I call her so that she could put me at ease as to whether she was trustable or not. Don’t know about you readers out there, but that kind of stuff just turned me on and my southern values kicked in.

I used my valuable time and made more than ten (10) items as it regards crochet items that could be used in this advertisement and which would be kept for the babies that was used in the advertisement. The only thing that happened as a result of my trusting Tene was that I sent her several homemade crochet items, with my label --- especially wrapped in nice tissue, with each item identified. I sent this items around November, 20006 and by December, 2007 --- after Tene gave away my items for Christmas, I never heard from her again.

Now, I have been trying to determine who might be at fault. Me for being foolish enough to think that I should ever trust Tene. Tene for stealing my items from me by suggesting that I call her so that she could put me at “ease”. She took certified postage from me, which she signed for it and made certain promises, while giving my handmade thing away for Christmas gifts. I did not get the advertisement that she promised nor did I get any financial compensation. Finally was Discovery Health responsible for putting such a program as Runway Moms on television in the first place. How are we really trust programs that have no real “moral standards.” I am really not sure and all of these many months past, I am still somewhat confused over the entire matter. Not only do they not have any moral standards, they are a group of liar and cheaters. “Could you tell me what you think?”

This happened during the months of October, November, December of 2006 and by January, 2007 Tene did not know me anymore.

You be the judge and please, tell me what you think?

Just goes to show that you can never trust those that you email or who might email you back:--(

I have worked with Tené and you have her totally wrong. I think that you should move on with your life - you have your facts wrong and should seek help.

When you give items away, you should be aware that compensation is NOT part of it.
