I have had direct TV now for about three months and have had one problem after another. I had initially switched from cable to DirectTV because I thought that their high definition service would be superior. Big mistake. Since the time of install I have been through 4 high definition receivers, each one failing for a different reason. When your service goes out with DirectTV your only option is to wait for a replacement box or for a service tech which in my case has taken close to a week each time. My service has been so spotty that I have had to retain my cable so that I have a backup. Talk about spending too much for T.V. service. Now that my experience with these buffoons has soured to the point it has i decided that i had had enough. Unfortunately their two year contract insulates them from having to provide any level of acceptable service at all. Even though my experience has been a nightmare and I have spent countless valuable hours trying to resolve issues they will not offer to terminate my contract no matter how many times I have requested this. I am currently without any service again and I have decided that I am going to bite the bullet and pay the termination fee. I am not litigious person but have considered taking these bullies to court. I can't imagine that I am the only person that has had these issues. I would avoid doing business with this company at all cost. I wish good luck to all those that are in the same boat as me.

First i had a problem with billing. now they cut one of my recievers off without being told. no matter what number i called noone answered and problably want to bill me for services that they cut off. best bets comcast

more junk mail...calling DTV to remove us from the junk mail loop...I finally get on to the Corp. offices in Ca...but 20 minutes later ..typical junk mail run around...one clown at one of the DTV numbers I called said "call the do not call list"...I laffed so hard he hung up.

I have had this service for over 10 years and I am now finding out that I am being charged for movies and events from 2006 and now being 2011. They were not even going to tell me about them. I go on vacation and return to interupted services and then find out about the events from 2006.

Charged 49.00 for in home repair that was not installed correctly in the first place. The tech guy who made the repair stated that it was not done right the first time. We explained to the Direct TV customer service person who just blew us off. Stay away from Direct TV

They removed 900.00 out of my brothers checking account for my bill, because he was nice enough to pay my bill for me one time when I needed it, so beings how they had his account number they took it upon them selves to do this when I cancelled their service. His name is not on the account.

First quarter NFL Play OFF Atlanta / Green Bay service interruption appears on screen. States no need to call us, check back often to see if technical difficulties are resolved. Had this service 6 months. Direct TV SUCKS BIG TIME!

I refer daughter in september of 2010 one month after i signed up.we were suppose to get 100.for referal i use my credit card for her down payment, direct tv said she didnt sign up with them there for not eligible for rebate.then they told me that its too early give it 8 weeks .lies after lies .what can be done?

Yes an account was opened in my daughters name but my ss# was used... then you took money from my account. i would like the draft cancelled and money returned to my bank account or other actions will be taken... you used my ss# without my autherazation...

I got Direct tv over a year ago the price I first got, my bill was never that it was always higher.and every time I call and complained they say there gonna fix it but they never do..

Company Direct TV went to my bank acct and took out an unathorized amount from my bank acct. Company stated they could because they have my information on file. That is absurb. A company should only take when it has been authorized by the person. Its like stealing.

Make no mistakes, my friends. If Direct TV has your credit or debit card information, they will take whatever amount they want out of your account without your knowledge, permission, consent or authorization.

they are so hard up for money they force you into a 2 year contract and the only way to be rid of them is to pay the 2 years out. i have another year left and i dont even use their equiptment but i still have to pay for it...

I have been using the Direct TV service from past 6 months and I can't stay any more with them. Their service is very very poor and signals drop for every weather change and all the service complaints blame weather.

direct tv wants to add 2 more years 2 my contract just because i add another box there crazy and when i told them i didnt know this upon them giving me this box they want to charge me a additional 20.00 for every month of that 2yr contract that's crazy.

Company set up last October, lost signal two days ago, was told loss is due to leaves on tres, notifiied company was told service contract was 90 days, now a $59.00 service charge applies. Is it not their obligation to insure service? Is ther any place to file complaints? Thanks Tom

I CALLED & CANCEL DIRECT TV IN AUGUST BECAUSE I HAD A BETTER DEAL WITH VERIZON, FROM AUGUST AFTER I CANCELLED THEY STILL CHARGING ME AS A CUSTOMER, I NEED THOSE CHARGES TO BE REMOVED OR I WILL CALL BETTER BUSSINESS BUREAU, BECAUSE IT IS REDICULOUS HOW IM BEING CHARGE FOR SOMETHING I DON'T HAVE.

been client since 2003 ..direct tv added several channels in march bill i didnt ask for and refused to credit account when i called condesending rep and supervisor deserire ...i will check other companys for better service ...my advise "dont make my mistake stay away from direct tv ...worst customer service,

I am a single mother dissatissfied with direct tv and when i wanted to cancle they wanted to charge me $20 for every month not used for 2 years! Thats $440 unbelievable.

Direct TV has a two year contract to punish you if, for some reason, you can not continue with their service.

I made a complaint earlier about Direct TV and re read it after submitting it and wanted to correct something. Where I said "It goes without saying I contracted Direct TV, " I meant to say, it goes without saying I cancelled Direct TV. Sorry.

Customer service deliberately tries to change your plan every time you talk to them. In order to get details of your bill online, you have to agree to a paperless statement. This business is slimier than the cell phone companies that I have dealt with!

I was charged 500.00 for service I never received. They agree it is their fault but say the refund will take 6 to 8 weeks. I am on a fixed income and can't afford to be without 500.00 this month. I will let everyone know Direct Tv is a rip off!

My reciever burned out and smoke started pouring out of it .I threw it outside afraid that it would catch something on fire. Has this ever happened to anyone else ? Hopefully there has never been a fire.

Direct TV was giving these vouchers for gas and grocery rebates for signing up for a 2 year committment. The company providing the rebates filed bankruptcy. Direct tv just blew me off when I contacted them about this problem.

Once you order Direct TV, you cannot cancel it. They simply push you around from person to person. They will offer to take money off the bill, but in the end, will not let you cancel. Its ridiculous and based on the number of complaints here, I can't believe something hasn't been done already.

Direct TV is a JOKE! I ordered the service...they didnt tell me i couldn't get locals...so i canceled and ordered cable. now they want to charge me a 450 early termination!

I had Direct TV installed and I misunderstood the advertisement and I returned the receiver to Direct TV. By signing for the installation they say I agreed to a two year contract and charged my Mastercard $459.64 cancellation fee. Direct TV was installed on June 21 and cancelled on June 23rd.

Direct Tv charged my credit card without ever telling me. I cancelled my service and they charged my credit card $312.46 without my approval. I was never notified of this charge. I only found out they had done this AFTER i got my statement. This was faurdulent billing.

Go with cable! Direct TV is like Chase and American Airlines all rolled up in 1 big fee based SCAM! God help you if you try to cancel your service... If you are looking for customer satisfaction, you would be better off in thumbscrews then dealing with these malcontents...

all the reps are very rude. i call last friday gave my card info, ssc, and other info. the order was processed the tech was suppose to come out tuesday, noone showed up, and noone is trying to resolve the problems, plus a lot more

Direct TV is cheating people because of the new HD TV they are not able to supply HD in all areas because of Trees. They come to your house and you can have an HD TV and they will put a regular box on the TV and lock you into a longer term contract and you HD looks like crap.

This is in regards to my mothers contract she is 81 years old and early stages of altizmers and did this without me knowing about it and now they want $132.52 because is was canceled she didn't understand how to operate the tv or remote
