I have had direct TV now for about three months and have had one problem after another. I had initially switched from cable to DirectTV because I thought that their high definition service would be superior. Big mistake. Since the time of install I have been through 4 high definition receivers, each one failing for a different reason. When your service goes out with DirectTV your only option is to wait for a replacement box or for a service tech which in my case has taken close to a week each time. My service has been so spotty that I have had to retain my cable so that I have a backup. Talk about spending too much for T.V. service. Now that my experience with these buffoons has soured to the point it has i decided that i had had enough. Unfortunately their two year contract insulates them from having to provide any level of acceptable service at all. Even though my experience has been a nightmare and I have spent countless valuable hours trying to resolve issues they will not offer to terminate my contract no matter how many times I have requested this. I am currently without any service again and I have decided that I am going to bite the bullet and pay the termination fee. I am not litigious person but have considered taking these bullies to court. I can't imagine that I am the only person that has had these issues. I would avoid doing business with this company at all cost. I wish good luck to all those that are in the same boat as me.

I signed up with direct tv 11/7/09.They told me it would be $29.99 a month and my bill is $55.99. They wont fix it or make it right. They told me I had to send in a rebate form I wasn't aware of and I had to pay the 55 until they recieved the form. Very very poor customer service. I would never get service with them again. And to cancel is 480 some odd dollars!That is only one of the problems with them.

My acct was in suspend to I could get back on my feet financially. Someone at Direct TV made a mistake and deducted 712.01 from my bank account on 10/27/09. I am getting the run around to get my refund of money not owed to them. Have a family of 6, can't buy groceries or put gas in my car. They have blatantly lied and don't care about anyone.

I had Direct TV installed and they installed the wrong DVR box, so i called and they said they would fix it, so they just needed $288.11 to order the box and my bank account would be credited in 24 hours, so its been 48 hours and they said the amount could only be credited back to my direct tv account, i want my money, they stated 24 hours not 48 and not back to my direct tv account, so far thier service sucks

Floyd Deloney has been a loyal customer since the onset of Direct TV satelite service. EVERY TIME it rains or we have a thunder storm, the satelite service cuts off. Also, they play the same shows on the all the time for years. We are unhappy and therefore we are changing satelite servicr and will no longer have Direct TV.

DIRECT TV IS BY FAR THE WORST CABLE COMPANY OUT THERE. IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED W/THEIR SERVICES YOU ONLY HAVE 24 HRS TO BREAK YOUR 2 YR CONTRACT.
THIS, OF CORSE, WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO YOU AT THE TIME OF YOUR CONTRACTURAL AGREEMENT.
BUYER BE WARE, THEY DO NOT PROVIDE THE BEST SERVICES AND PACKAGES AVAILABLE AND IT IS A PAIN IN THE GLUTES WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO GET RID OF THEM.

Please let everybody know that when you sign up with direct tv is a two year commitment even if they don't tell you.They will charge you 20 dollars per month if you cancel.They will charge your credit card.LET EVERYBODY KNOW !

My mom and I used Direct TV service for 2years. i don't usually write this kinds of complaints, but i couldn't stand it. i don't have time to list all of their terrible services, but i'm sure you will save money, time & energy not choosing them for your satellite TV service. stressful & unreasonable service ever!

I HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT LIED TO, DISCRIMINATED AGAINST AND THE AMOUNT OF THEFT OF THE SERVICES. THIS COMPANY IS POOR, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A DISCRACE, THE MANAGERS ALL SHOULD BE FIRED, THEY SAY THEY PROVIDE SERVICES WHICH THEY DONT, THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TAKES TO GET A SERVICE CALL IS OUT OF CONTROL.

6 TECHNICIANS LATER AND MY SERVICE IS STILL NOT WORKING. THEY ARE UNBELIEVABLE.

I bought the protection plan and when my dish was moved from a windstorm I encountered horrible customer service. Very rude people and was told that I have to wait 7 days until my dish can be fixed. Well it's spring break with my kids home and no TV. WONDERFUL! How dare they, you know if they have been even a bit nicer it wouldn't have seemed so bad but their rudeness was icing on the cake. Goodbye Direct TV Hello Cable!

Whenl we had direct tv set up they never told us we would no longer get picture in picture, and n0 tvo. We really liked those items on our 52 inch hd tv. If we would have been told that we would NOT have it installed. We want out of our contract.

I have a contract with Direct TV. I am moving in with my boyfriend that also has Direct TV. But because I am under contract, they want to charge me $400.00 to cancel it. My boyfriend checked into moving my account to his home, but as it turn out, he is under contract as well. So I am stuck paying for a TV service that I will not be watching.

Service time is too long. It will take 17 days for a service person to fix our sattelite. That means no TV for 17 days. We even purchased insurance for service and it still is lousy service.

I have called customer svc many times and get no where.I am paying for local Boston signal and have not been receiving . Every time I call Direct TV they try to sell me a service pak. Now I lost CNBC signal . I need help or I will cancel. Have been a customer for 10 years.

I went through Verizon who was parenting w/ direct tv.I cancelled out w/ direct and they were suppose to reinburse me a check for $211.00 which in return I'm suppose to sent toverizon.I called direct and talked to Rachael who stated she had contacted the deptment to have me a check within 8 working days and to day is number 9.

I have had nothing but hard times with my direct tv. I've had 5 tech's to my house and 4 hd dvr's. After 8 hours on phine with people who do not care about anything. I found out how to get someone from office to give you a call back. Email them on there website and they email you back. I finally got there email and a responce there secert 800 number. The 800# is.

My 93 year old mother, whom has only an air antennae, had false charge from Direct TV.Left telephone number with Direct TV, as they requested; however, after a week - no rerturn telephone call.

This company stole my money from my checking account. When confronted they promptly began to lie about how long it takes to be refunded my money. They will persist that talking to a supervisor will get you the same results, and almost refuse to allow you to speak with a supervisor. They put you on hold forever, I'm almost certain you are talking to another customer rep and not a supervisor at all.

Someone ordered a pay for view Wrestling to my account, by phone, in March and I was charged $54.95. I complained because we never ordered anything and was told I would get a rebate, but as it was ordered through an agent(?) they refused to honor a rebate. Beware, put a password on your phone and online service with these people or you WILL be charged! We are all liars to them.

Direct TV personnel will not give you a direct answer or complete a phone call concerning charges that were not agreed upon. No phone # to talk to a person long enough to get problem solved.

Direct TV made an unauthorized "Protection Plan charge" to my account, when I found out, they would not refund all of the over charges AND ADDED a Portection Plan Cancellation FEE ! What kind of scam is this?

I canceled my service with Direct TV after 7 years because I moved to another state. I was not under any contracts with Direct TV. Each time I call DT they assure me the problem has been corrected and I do not owe them any money. Today I was notified they have turned my account over to a collection agency. When I called... again the idiot I spoke with did not have a clue even though she identified herself as the billing supervisor.

Contacted an internet site ordered a package. For $39.99 was contacted by a representative of Direct to confirm an institution, agreed to the date. Received a bill for $58.00 five days later called direct and was told that would be my monthly bill because I had up graded. And if I wish to cancel it would cost me $300.00 as I was locked into a 18 month contract.

I'm retired and cannot afford this amount.

WE had no service on 2 TV's for half a month. WE called and emailed countless times. Finally a customer service representative said that they had one of our satellites pointed to Puaerto Rico, he fixed that and our service was back on. However, they will not adjust our statement to reflect a credit for the time we were without their services, when it was clearly a mistake on the part of Direct TV.

Don't ever give Direct TV a credit card or checking account number. I just canceled my service and they charged my account without any notice or approval. Their so called Customer Service is non-existent. They have to pay people $50 to subscribe. When I canceled my service, they offered me $150 to stay. I told them I wasn't a [censored] and to keep their money. I quit for valid reasons and if I wanted to stay I would.

DIRECT TV SUCKS ! I won't bore ya ll with details but be informed that no matter what a Direct TV rep says... or charges you for upfront... you are entering into a contract and you WILL be charged an early termination fee! I will restate the obvious DIRECT TV SUCKS!

sent my payment by money order on june 8, 2013 and was told they didn't receive it.When I called about the money order they said it had been cashed but direct said they didn't receive it. I have my receipt from my money order. would just like to get this situation resolved soon.

my bill was late being paid and because they kept trying to process my payment and there were no funds on my card when I did put the funds on my card to pay my bill Direct tv took it off and said they were placing it on a 24hr hold and it has been well over24hrs and I still don't have my money or my service.

Direct TV the biggest rip off how can my bill start off $78.00 with no movie channels, and just the internet go up to $180.00 a month. Direct TV gets you in a contract then raises your bill to what ever they want, their the ones committing a crime and getting away with it.

My one year contract with Directv expired last month. When I called to cancel my service, Directv stated that it was a two year contract. And if I cancel they were going to bill me $20 a month starting in July 2011 to June 2012. I requested a copy of my signed contract and they stated they do not have the contract.

Direct TV took money off a debit card, that they were not arthorized to take. The amount was 19.96. This company had no arthorization to take the money off the card.

When you sign up for a 1 year promotion, according to them, you are committing to a 2 year service agreement that does not require that you are explicitly informed that you are doing so and does not require your signature. This is at best deceptive, at worst fraudulent.

It is being told that Direct TV is charging toronado victims $500 if they are unable to return a remote &/or box when they call to cancel their service.
