Direct Commerce Academy Misleading information

When I signed up for the direct commerce acadamy work at home program, they told me that all I had to do was get a link everyday and copy and post that information elsewhere. For every link I copied and posted I would get $1. After an hour on the phone, and repeatedly giving my credit card to these people, the site they directed me too was totally different then what they explained. The site said I had to set up a website and sell products, (never disclosed to me on phone about this) and the website was gonna cost me $40 a month. When I called customer service the first time, the young man explained that page always comes up, to get out of it and log on again. this time pick the links page. Again, the same webpage infomation came up. I called customer service again, and this time I got a girl who stated that this was what the business was all about... selling products on the website. Again, totally misleading. This is not what I signed on for.

Direct Commerce Academy Fraudulant charges

I went to this website following a link promising the ability to make some easy money at home. After reading the misleading information telling me to sign up for a set price (I think it was $2.99) I clicked to leave the site and it said I could sign up for only $0.99. I did it and then I decided to check online to see if this was a legitemit opportunity. Naturally I should have done this first but I thought that this one could be different. A few days later I received a phone call from a man from the company who began telling me about the opportunities. I explained that my phone's battery was about to die and to please call me the next day. Go figure, that never happened. I checked out a few emails that they send out providing new jobs to make money, but once you read through them they want a few hundred dollars to get started.
I never started anything with this company but had the feeling that I was going to see some bogus charges on my credit card. One week later I checked and sure enough there was a charge of $68.71 along with a foreign transaction charge of $0.69. I called one of the numbers to complain and the woman told me that it was in the fine print that I had one week to cancel or my card would be charged this amount. This information was never available on this website so I told her to cancel my "membership". She told me I would only receive $40 back, and it would take 7-10 business days to see the credit. This is just another bogus company out there scamming hard working people and taking you to the bank. Buyer beware!

Direct Commerce Academy Bad business

Before getting started I asked my daughter to assist me. Thought she would have a better understanding as to what they were asking because she uses the computer more than I do. We started out with step 1 and right away were asked to subscribe to pay 39.95 a month for what they called a merchant type of website with a 10 day trial for 1.00. We were going to step two and in the process of coming up with a domain name my daughter wanted to know exactly what was being sold. So she decided to pull up more information on Direct Commerce Academy and to our surprise we found out that Direct Commerce Academy was more of a scam than an opportunity. As we read the complaints more and more we realized that this was just a scam which would lead to more and more money without any rewards. I called my credit card company and canceled my card even though I was told by DCA that they would cancel my subscription but I had no confidence in them doing so based on the other complaints that were posted. It is a good thing that I asked my daughter to assist me otherwise I would've been taken for more than I have. Its a good thing she's more computer smart than I am. So lesson learned is before you go into something check more into the company. This DCA rates an F with the BBB.

Direct Commerce Academy Unauthorized charges on my debit card

About a week ago, I signed up online (now I know it was a perfect bait to people like me who wants to earn extra dollars ) for a job program that will help me set up a business posting links and I will earn money. The bait was a charged of only $2.97 to start the said business. There was no mention of a charge of $139 + that will come after 3 days if not cancelled. I was asked at the start to put in my debit card number and the cc. I know that what I authorized was only the $2.97. However, I stopped when a bunch of craps was being added and I just cannot go on so I stopped halfway. Now they turned around and charged me not the $139 but $140 had been taken out of my checking account. What these people are doing is totally illegal, dishonest, upsetting and can cause heart attacks. They need to be stopped and be answerable to what they are causing to people like me who are completely innocent to sign up for a job just to add a few bucks to the household income. These people are heartless, and not afraid of the bad karma that can come to them. If there is someone out there that can help poor people like me against DCA...please help us. I am sure I am not the only victim, but there are thousands who were robbed. I went to my bank and my card was changed but yet the charged went through. PLEASE...anybody there who can help?

same thing happened to me and i keep calling talking to different people. Ive tried being rude, nice, it doesn't matter. they told me i wasn't responsible and hung up on me. Them taking the money out of my account has messed everything up. my account was overdrawn and bc it was a international transaction the bank "HAD" to overdraw my account which doesn't make sense because 1 i have it so i dont get overdrawn and 2 bc this company is in the USA not in another country. I hope these peoples kids burn in front of them. Now my kids are out of diapers and other things bc of these ###s.

Rachel. You Need to keep calling them. Be rude to them, come up with something like 'i do not have the time for this now' Or something. Keep calling, and keep pushing for it. Terms and conditions (according to people) states that you can get a full refund within 30 days. These guys are unethical and should burn in hell. They live on dirty money, and karma is gona be a total ### to them. What goes around will come around. I suggest to ask for a supervisor or the 'owner' of whoever you're calling. Be on their heads. Direct Commerce Academy Scam Big time

I went to their website as advertised paid the 2.95 to view and then 29.95 to start but as I got into it further there was always this update and more money they wanted they even said you had to pay goggle 1 cent for each hit and then you were supposedly paid more per hit.
All charges on my debit card were from Clicbank I did get my $29.95 back from the bank but the other charges were strange listed as foreign cost of $1.02 and $2.00 with weird numbers following each transsaction then a $141.44 charge showed up with this dcabiz.com you go there and it states they charged you $138.67 which is a lie. I called the 1 800 number and got a guy named Tony who told me I had 5 days to call in and cancel and did not do so therefore they charged me. I have emails from the bank and one from Direct commerce Academy and of course the one from the academy has no name. This Tony also told me that their academy is not connected with the clicbank in any way and he did not know what I was talking about.
Is there any to get this bunch of crooks?

You need to try and call the [protected] number I called them after I talked to the bank. My bank couldn't stop it supposedly because those sneaky DCA people didn't put it as reoccurring monthly charge but called it a membership obviously meaning it was. So I called the [protected] number and was persistent they kept telling me they were a third party and couldn't do anything for me other than close my account. I didn't even know what I had an account for! And getting her to tell me the name of the company or the company they work for was like pulling teeth first she said a rewards company or something the finally DCA. I told the women I would like to speak to her supervisor and she told me she was on the phone with another client. So I said I'll just wait which she wouldn't let me. Apparently they wont ever let you talk to supervisor from what I've read on other complaint sites. But after telling her I wanted to close the account and wanted the pending 68.71 in my account left alone, she said sorry we do no returns and apparently someone was standing beside her because no sooner she got that out of her mouth she turned around and gave me a refund. Being persistent pays off! Worse comes to worse L.Jeannot I would tell them you were going to report them to the Better Business Bureau and I'm positive they'll comply. But supposedly I'm suppose to get my money back in 7-10 business days we'll see!

Same problem unfortunately like everyone else. I was offered to pay $2.97 and was charged $39.95 and 68.71 thereafter on my Chase bank account. When I called the [protected] and [protected] numbers, all I got was a voice mail saying to leave a message. I am trying to dispute the charges with my bank. What else can I do?

Call them and tell them that according to the their own Terms and Conditions, they give a 30 day satisfaction guarantee and if you´re not satisfied (which we are not) they will give you a FULL REFUND including the initial fee.

Direct Commerce Academy Fraudulent. Stole money from debit card

I tried their website and requested the "free trial offer for only $2.99 shipping". They called me directly on the phone and spoke to me to see if I "qualified". I did not because I did not own a credit card, only a debit card. That day my bank account had four transactions to withdraw money which amounted to $160.00 mark on account summary and DCA. I have proof that it was them and when I called them back the person said that I had the wrong number and she hung up on me. Please be very careful out there...these people are feeding off this bad economy by hitting the people who need it the most.

Some sum sucking low life got a hold of my debit card info and charged this crap to my account. Lucky for me this is my fun money account and I only keep a little bit of money in it so they could not take out anything but $2.97. I called my bank and they shut off my card. I also called this company and this lady told me they couldn't refund my money. So I went off and told this lady I know this company is a scam I have read about it online and they will regret messing with me because I am not finished with them and she hung up on me. So now I am turning this co. into the indiana attorney Generals office. I also had 2 other transactions go through from companies I have never heard of but they returned my money. That same day I found out whoever got a hold of my information was trying to run credit checks in my name...so I put a freeze on my credit info. Everyone keep an eye out. watch your bank statments close. You can't trust anyone in this world anymore, and that is really sad! They also told me they would be canceling this so called account and I should recieve a confermation e-mail (they didn't even have the right e-mail address) so I have no idea if they really closed this fraud account or not. I also recieved 2 phone calls from another "home employment agency" to notify me that my card had been denied! I also went off of this guy and told him why it was denied. I think everyone should turn this company into their states attorney generals office.

The same thing happened to me, someone from India or Pakistan called me on October 19, 2010 and I told them I didn't want anything, but they had my bank card information and my address, everything! I got three charges to my bank account, two of $2.99 and one of $3.06, the two for $2.99 were MedeFile.com and Member Advantage, LLC. The other one for $3.06 was from Direct Commerce Academy. I told the caller that I didn't want any of them, I even talked with the manager, but still my account was charged. Direct Commerce Academy charged my bank account again this month on the 22nd for a maintenance fee of $2.05, I called them and asked them why they were taking money out of my account, they said that someone using my credit card made the charges from my computer, but it wasn't from my computer it was from IP: 203.153.53.26. The agent #340 from Direct Commerce Academy at phone number [protected], told me that she would cancel my account and refund $1.99, not the $5.11 that was taken out of my account.

Direct Commerce Academy Unauthorized charges

I signed up for 2.97 worth of information about making money at home. Less than 2 weeks later as I was checking my account online, I discoverd a 139.95 unauthorized debit on my account. I called the number provided and was told by Scott that his supervisor had approved a 100.00 refund. He refused to give me his supervisors name, although he did give me a confirmation number. I asked for a email regarding my so-called refund and was told that I would be receiving one within 24 hours and if not, to call them back. Apparently I did not read all of the fine print. It was a stupid thing to do and I will never order Anything online anymore...I was misled and the company is nothing but a fraud. They are laughing all the way to the bank and it makes me furious, mostly at myself though. They will not get another cent because I closed the account. I will not hold my breath waiting for my refund .

Direct Commerce Academy Fraud

I thought I was ONLY going to be charged $2.95 to view the program, as it stated on its website . A month later, I received my paypal statement of a charge of $139.95 from DCA, I called them and they told me that there was a 5 day trial period clearly started on the electronic info I read and signed and I said I do not remember seeing anything like that. In fact, I remember I saw that there is a 5 day trail if you bought the program. Since I was not interested in it, I didn't pursue further. I called DCA right after I received my paypal statement, when I called the first time, a man said he could refund $70.00 to me, I said it is not acceptable since I have never made the charge. He said sorry, that was all they could do. I called back the second time, a woman answered and said she could refund $40.00. I asked to speak to the supervisor, a woman named Rei said she could only refund $40.00 if I am agree to her terms and condition. I refused to compromise as I have never authorized the charge of $139.95 to begin with. I immediately called Paypal, and file a dispute with the charge, it would be a lengthy process, but I want this scam heard. I am going to file every complaint I could against this fraudent company and tell everyone I knew about this. We should not let this company reap off people any further.

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD Signed up for this for 2.95. All I needed to get started posting links online and being paid accordingly. I even paid additional 29.95 for they call it VIP. Follow 5 steps and get started right ! Before you complete 5 steps you have to purchase a website and so much other crap. I finally called to cancel and get my money back and they said nonrefundable. That is how they make there money. By the way NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH ! HOW DO PEOPLE GET AWAY WITH SCREWING PEOPLE FOR A LIVING!

I signed up for a work at home business with Direct Commerce Academy for $2.97. The terms and conditions stated that I would be charged an immediate fee of $2.97 and that I would receive a packet in the mail. Five days later they charged my card $138.97. I called the customer service number and was treated very rudely and was lied to. I asked to speak to a supervisor at least 20 times and they refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor. The first guy I spoke with, Jared basically called me stupid and lied to me. When I asked him to speak with a supervisor he told me that he was the supervisor and that there wasn't anyone above him and that I wasn't getting my money back. I hung up and called right back and spoke with Keith, who told me there was nothing he could do because there was a 5 day trial period after which I would be charged $138.97 and that it was clearly stated in the terms and conditions. This is not true, that was not stated in the terms and conditions. He told me that I would not believe that amount of calls they receive from people with the same complaint. I told him that is because the fee is not stated in the terms and conditions and replied by saying that people just don't read. When I asked to speak with his supervisor he told me that she was busy and there was nothing they could do. When I told them that I was going to file complaints with the BBB and the state Attorney General they just laughed and said go ahead. I'm going to go ahead alright. DO NOT sign up with this so called company.

This is a scam...big time. I was charged 2.97, then called to cancel the acct spoke with someone and she said she canceled it, then I called back to make sure and spoke with Maria, she said she would cancel it so apparently it wasn't canceled by the first person...I also got a email from Capo with a phone number, they are the billing company that works with Direct Commerce Academy...I called them and Jess said she didn't know why Maria told me to call since they are sitting next to each other. SCAM! Don't do it! I went on the BBB site and there are a lot of complaints. I told them if they charged my acct with any additional charges I was going to press charges. The second number on Capo is disconnect! Let the buyer beware, if it sounds too good to be true, it is!

Oh! Another lesson that I learned. Before attempting to do business with a company, research them online. Had I looked online to see what other people were saying about Direct Commerce Academy, I would have been slow to do business with them. I recalled being very sad that day because I could not find a job and saw the work at home opportunity. I read their info then read what the woman said from my hometown and saw that it did not cost much only $2.97 and went for it! I got excited! I envisioned my making at least $10, 000 per month. I borrowed the money from someone to pay for this opportunity to find that $2.97 was no where to the end of paying more money to make money. Each step required more money and more money and more money and more money. Do you get my drift?

Research...research...research. Let us band together to stop dishonest businesses and promote businesses that want to give us a chance. I choose not to be on welfare, etc. I choose to work hard to earn money since I am able.

I need a legititmate work at home career. It does not have to be work at home. It can be a job period. I am qualified. I am educated. Paid a lot of money for my education and have no job. What a mess! Yet government tells our children if you get a good education you will get a good job. Please! Too much politics and nepotism in the way!

Do your research. I learned the hard way and I am hoping that Direct Commerce Academy do not charge me anything extra and refund me. I will be watching! I urge you not to learn the hard way.

Help me to find a job. I am loving, intelligent, smart, educated, versatile, hardworking, skillful, caring, creative, talented, technology savvy, inventive, and a great leader who stand on moral principles even if I stand alone.

Help! I am for the people!

The information is communicated in a way that if you pay $2.97, you can make money without experiencing hassles and paying extra monies, which is a lot as you experience the steps. Once you begin the 5 step process, you quickly discover that you have been tricked and you are in over your head with continuous cost after cost before you can instantly make money. What if you are in a poor state such as me where you have very little money or no money, this type of action from a business could sink you lower.

Just a few minutes ago, I called Direct Commerce Academy to cancel the free trial because I found their company to false advertise in my opinion. In the beginning, their communication do not explain that you will have to pay more than $2.97, which it should because you do have to pay more and more and more monies and I am not sure if you will get the results. The first impression for me is that I cannot trust Direct Commerce Academy because they do not give adequate information upfront that will help you to make an informed decision. It appears that this company baits you and I do not do business with people that I cannot trust. If you are not 100% honest in the beginning, it appears to be an implication that you will not be honest during the process. When I saw that woman from my hometown making money and I thought about how broke I am I fell for the bait but I quickly woke up when they were asking for more money and more money.

I do not recommend doing business with Direct Commerce Academy. Instead I recommended that all people report them to Better Business Bureau so that representatives can investigate the company and if found to be guilty, maybe the business will be discontinued. SPREAD THIS INFO AROUND TO THE WORLD SO OTHER PEOPLE CAN BE MORE CAREFUL THAN WE DID.

When I called to cancel the trial, Bernie said that he will cancel my membership and expect to see the cancellation in my email between 24 or 34 hours. I am not sure because I kept saying 24 or 34 and I never could get a clear answer. I asked him for his last name and he said they are not allowed to give their last name so he said his professional number is 0330. I asked for the name of the owner and he said they are not allowed to give the owner's name. I asked him what was his role and he said Customer Service. I asked him to explain the hierarchy and he got quiet. I asked him if he had a supervisor and he said yes. I asked him for the next level of hierarchy and he said the supervisor is the highest level. I do not know about you but something smells mighty suspicious to me! I asked for the name and he said Evan. I asked to speak to Evan and he said he was unavailable and on another call. I asked if I could hold for him and he said yes and put me on hold for a few minutes then came back to the phone and said that Evan was busy helping a customer and I said I will hold. He told me again that Evan was helping with another customor and decided to say that I will refund your $2.97 when he could have said that in the beginning when I first asked for the $2.97 as well because I felt that their company was false advertising. He told me to expect the $2.97 between 7-10 days. During the process I asked if they had another supervisor that I could speak to and he said they only have one supervisor and that is Evan. What do you think about this world?

Question: When I saw their information online, they showed a woman from my city as being very successful. I am wondering, when you guys looked at their site, did they show a customer being successful from your hometown? If so, I wondered if this is a way to make you feel like you can be successful with their company as well?

I do not know what is going on with this company but I am very suspicious and do not trust them. I believe that legitimate businesses do not mind giving you the hierarchy and owners' name and location to report complaints because they desire continuous growth. Well, I did not get this treatment. When you question businesses' intergrity, report to Better Business Bureau to investigate and get a resolution. Let us band together to stop scams and misleading businesses.

Bernie told me that they are not going to charge me for anything and have not charged me for anything. I will watch them very closely because I do not trust them and hate that I experienced them. I was trying to just find a way to make an honest living at home because I am in need for survival. I am vulnerable and need some income to survive - honest income is what I need. I am a great and skillful person who is able to multitask. I was hoping to make at least $10, 000 per month. I am an open-minded person.

Direct Commerce Academy Fraud alert

These People called me out of the blue and I never signed up for anything but they had all my personal information then I checked my Bank account and sure enough they had taken money out of my account. Without me going to a website, not even knowing who they were what it was about, or why they were calling me. This is a total SCAM I have been referred to 6 or seven different people and told my account was canceled but I never even gave my name to them and asked for a cancelation Number and they would not give me one. I have called the number on my bank account and on an email. And have gotten several other numbers to call that are unrelated to them. I have gotten names of people as follows:
Steven Street at [protected] ext 145
Jeremy Manire at [protected]
Alex at [protected] Third party calling center
Chris Lawerence at [protected] who is a web developer and web site of www.marketecture.com
Other phone number on Bill [protected]
Chris gave me the phone number of [protected] and I talked to another Alex who said my account was cancelled but could not give me a cancelation number. I checked on-line ay the www.bbb.org.
They are listed at the BBB as an F. Two companies and they both are frauds.

Well they got me to, I've been paying them 39.95 for 5 months to a company called NTK, that I later found out was just Marktecture for some website I never logged into. At the end of the day they gave me 3 months back after calling two call centers speaking to 2 different Reps and when the process was explained the main Company is Direct Commerce Academy who takes your info and gives it to other companies who charge you to help them build your website, so you must cancel them all or you will keep getting charged. The second Rep also said the Company Direct Commerce Academy did a lot of wrong things and they have seperated from that Company

I went to a website about earning extra money from home. I don't even recall giving them the information about the $2.97, but then my account was charged for the $139.95 activation feee. When I called, i asked her what is activated. She told me it was to activate my account and then I would be charged $39.95 each month. I told her to cancel everything and she said she would send a confirmation email to my account. Never happened and she said the money was non-refundable. I told her she was ripping people off and she said it was my fault. Maybe so, but they are very underhanded and they prey on people who are looking to help their financial situation out and instead are being ripped off of money they can't afford to lose. I have cancelled my debit card and hope this helps, but additional calls to the company go unanswered.

Looked at what I thought and had read was a no hassle at home business, the story was positive on how you could make money from home easily. I guess I should know better by now but I did not see a down side - apparently I did not read the small print well enough and you needed to cancel within 5 days if you were not going to do the program, they made it sound like you could check it out for a few cents. I refused the first couple of offers they put out but I thought .99 was reasonable to check something out. Now I have 4 charges, .99, .02, 1.72 & 68.71 and am on hold with the company trying to get a refund for 20 min now, they make it sound like it is your fault for not knowing where they hide this important information. I would think that you would want to be upfront with people so that you don't have thousands of people calling to try and get refunds. No wonder customer service is rude!

Browsing through the internet I came across Direct Commerce Academy I read all those dumb stories of stay at home mom making good money and for to $2.97 I said alright I soon found out that you had to pay quite a bit more than $2.97 so I stopped and thought I was only out $2.97 and thought nothing more. I missed the charge last month but I caught it today it was a charge of 68.71 by some company that said BIZ [protected]. My bank couldn't tell me who it was and I couldn't figure it out they also couldn't stop it supposedly because those sneaky DCA people didn't put it as reoccurring monthly charge but called it a membership obviously meaning it was. So I called the [protected] number and was persistent they kept telling me they were a third party and couldn't do anything for me other than close my account. I didn't even know what I had an account for! And getting her to tell me the name of the company or the company they work for was like pulling teeth first she said a rewards company or something then finally DCA. Worse comes to worse I would tell them you were going to report them to the Better Business Bureau and I'm positive they'll comply. But supposedly I'm suppose to get my money back in 7-10 business days we'll see!

DO NOT SEND DIRECT COMMERCE ACADEMY YOUR MONEY I KNOW 2.97 LOOKS GREAT FOR SOME EXTREA CASH BUT IT IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF DON'T LISTEN TO ALL THE MEDIA PRAISING IT!

I went to this website http://www.cnbcfinance20.com/ and it talks about making money on the internet and shown on CNBC, CNN, ABC and USA Today and for $2.97 you will get a Home Income Kit. So I gave them my Credit Card and I explored the site and as I get more into it, they wanted more money. So I just stopped and figured my $2.97 was a waste of time. The next week I get a $139.95 Charge on my card. I called and talked to some lady and she said that in the terms and conditions, I will be charge this in 3 days if I don't cancel. I asked for my refund and was told I can't get it back. I told her that I would complain to the BBB and on the internet if this is not resolved. She then put me through another person and I repeated the same story to her and she said that I can't get it back. I told her about reporting her company and she told me that I threaten and that the phone conversation is being recorded. She finally said she would refund my money back, but as of a week, I still don't have the money. The first website that talks about only $2.97 doesn't say anything about $139.95 after 3 days.

Just another in a long line of complaints about DCA. First I will give you a "working number" where you can actually talk to someone. I got a confirmation number that my "membership" will be cancelled and that they are refunding my money. That number is [protected].

However, I would like to add that it really is probably more the fault of those of us too lazy to a)listen all the way through to the end of the video b) read the fine print and/or c) pay attention to details. I was going to get back to the information "later" and figured that $3 wasn't going to hurt even if it was a scam. Then that $138+ international charges kicked in and I decided that DID hurt. Problem is, there are no numbers that really can get you to talk to anyone directly about it. The website does almost a "ha ha ha--you must have seen your bank account!". I even went back to their little "academy" and tried to figure out what they were doing. I guess they probably have some almost legit scheme for marketing if you actually can get going with their little plan. Maybe that is for some people. I, however, still never got to the part where they said they would be charging a "maintenance fee" or the international fees either. My bank also had credited me back everything due to "not receiving purchased goods or services". Hopefully others can get the same results after calling that number. Good luck!

On 10/25/2017 after receiving an email to my Yahoo acct., I accepted a free trial offer from Direct Commerce Academy for a minimal chare of $2.95. However when i entered my bank info. Iwas advised a fee of $138.67
would be charged after 5 days. I cancelled the transaction at that point. However, the company has charged my account the $138.67 as of 10/26.
I called their [protected] customer service No. and was advised they could only cancel future billing, that I had accepted the current charges.
This company needs to be STOPPED.
I am tring to work this out thur my Bank, but doesn't look too good at this point.
THIS COMPANY NEEDS MAJOR EXPOSURE FOR THEIR FRAUDELENT ACTS.

This company managed somehow to obtain my Visa credit/debit card information and took money out of my account without my permission! I tried to contact them and I spoke with the "co-founder" of this scam organization and was told there was nothing that they could do to stop the charges against my account.

The owner of eHarbor is oliver bigler. He is a professional scam artist. I know because I used to work there. We were trained from Oliver himself to not tell the customer that they would be charged even though we told them they were getting a "free trial". Free nothing. Not to mention it's a one size fits all program and it doesn't fit most customers. It simply doesn't work. It's a total scam. Oliver has set up several companies to try and hide behind so you never know who to call to complain and get a refund. He sincerely is a scam artist. I quit, I couldn't take the high pressure sales tactics full of half truths and empty promises.

Direct Commerce Academy Scam

Offers your own internet website to market products. Cost $2.97 to get started. They show glowing testimonials (phony) and claim publicity from TV networks (probably all bogus).

Only $2.97 gets you started to making several thousand dollars -- daily.

First they get your credit card for the $2.97 then they start offering upgrades. The first is a $1, 200 package for only $139. Carefully check "NO THANKS" and it then becomes available for about $70. Another "NO THANKS" get you a "how about $60 for the same deal? Another "no thanks " gets an even better offer of $49 LAST CHANCE EVER.

I checked NO THANKS to all offers. So far out only $2.97 on my debit card.

At this point I did a Google search for Direct Commerce Academy and found dozens of fellow suckers that had been hit with a second charge for $139 with promise of half refund or no refund.

I called my bank and they said cancel my old debit card and get a new one so no further charge can be made. My bank said this is common and thousands of customers go through this.

Conclusion: Direct Commerce Academy is another of hundreds of internet marketing scams. Phony and a rip-off.

DIRECT COMMERCE ACADEMY is a SCAM! I signed up on Friday and by the next two days (Saturday and Sunday) tried to cancel my 3 day free trial and NOBODY was available on the toll free number they gave you on the website to help cancel my membership. Sure enough, coming Monday (the third day), DIRECT COMMERCE ACADEMY charged me $139.95. My bank changed my debit card and stopped further (unauthorized) transactions. I fought with this place to get my money back for two months, also expressing my opinions of them as senseless, worthless, inhumanitarian way of business of "helping people make money easy and fast" by not even considering ways to keep me as a customer.

Direct Commerce Academy Unauthorized charge

I signed up for Direct Commerce Academy under the belief that I would only be charged $2.97 shipping and handling as offered on their website. Later I found out that I was also charged $139.95. As soon as I found out my credit card was charged, I called the 800 number listed on my credit card statement, I spoke with someone named Drew, I guess he doesn't have a last name, since he refused to tell me his...I asked him to cancel whatever service they were offering and he said I would receive an email confirming the cancellation, which I did, but I have not received a credit for the $139.95...This is a big rip off!

This bull---and for the one who said it is our fault for not reading the tiny fine print that I never saw you are crazy.. This people are ripping everyone off and when you call you get the run around big time. Melanie is who I talked to after I first talked to a very rude gentleman who hung up on me. I agreed to the $2.97 charge to look at this page and when I read that it would cost what was stated at $39.95 a month I said no way and went no further with it.. I never watched a video or anything. Then they charged $68.71 which is supposed to be a monthly charge. I said for what? I have done nothing with this. Talked to a supervisor who surprise has no boss above her..yeah right. Then she said they do not handle these things and they do not call people back. Bull--I will call a lawyer. And again to the one that wrote it was our fault you probably work for them. dks1957

I used my NetSpend card (which had a total balance of $9.00) to purchase the $2.97 plan. Now the card has $6.03. Needless to say, the site failed to recognize my username and password but, wtf. I rarely ever use this card. Wont they be surprised! If I need to pay a bill over the phone or online I just put the money on the card and spend it within the hour to keep a minimal balance. Yeah, I got beat for $2.97, what a pathetic scam - but I'd still like to get 10 minutes in a room with any of these pathetic cowards!

I was charged the $139.95 and right after that, they proceeded to charge me a payment of $39.99. I was really mad- totally PISSED. I called and canceled the account and I have not yet received the e-mail confirmation. I may take further precautions and cancel my debit (or even my bank account). The customer support guy didn't tell me his name or anything. It was just, " Why are you calling today?" and I told him that I was calling to cancel my account and he told me that they were going to charge me another $39.99 and that would be all. UHHH... NO. This is a total scam. I'm deeply thinking about calling them to credit both those unexpected charges to my account because they were falsely advertising.

I was told the exact same thing, a trial charge of $2.97 for information about their company. It is in their terms an conditions that they will charge your account a one time fee of $138.67 and $58.91 per month for the duration of your membership. They charged my account two times for the $2.97 and I never saw the other charge until it was already withdrawn from my account. I too feel stupid for being scammed by these people. I just wanted to make a little extra money working from home. The advertisement that hooked me was about a woman in the city I live that had lost her job and started making extra income at home.

Never again! I'm still fighting with my bank about these charges.

Good luck to everyone else they've stolen from.

I canceled as soon as I read this page and am like "Ashamed mom", very ashamed that I fell for this. I managed to get it canceled by stubborness. KEEP CALLING THEM ! One says you have to wait 5-7 hours before your account is created while another tells you an hour. I kept calling them and in the end she told me she cancelled it and I got a conformation code. I am dreading looking at my credit card statement to come. I cant believe I am this stupid. I know better.

I honestly cant believe I did this. If you have any gut feeling that this or anything else may be a scam then DON'T DO IT! I had that gut feeling and did it anyways. When you cancel, be very cautious and listen to their wording because they do try to trip you up. It is very sad that there are people out there that still take advantage of people. Direct Commerce Academy Don't trust

I signed up for what I thought was a no strings attached work from home internet link for 2.95 and 5 days later, today, they debited my account for 139.95! I called them and they told me that there was a 5 day trial period clearly started on the electronic info I read and signed and I said I do not remember seeing anything like that I would have certainly remembered seeing that you were going to charge me 139.95 after 5 days. Basically he said too bad. Sorry. I told him I was going to file every complaint I could against their company and tell everyone I knew about this. I am beyond furious.

I signed up on Nov. 11, 2010 for a kit to start my own home based company, they offered this kit for 2.97 . Not only did i not receive the kit, but on December 5, 2010 they charged my checking account for an additional 68.71 . They claim that I did not cancel in the alotted time frame of 5 days therefore I am getting this charge and there is nothing I can do about it. They cancelled my account...I have been dealing with my Credit Card Company now for 3 days...I am told that I will be getting my money back...but it will take 7-10 business days...I fall in the 30 day guarentee refund...zone...but after more than 4 hours of debates on the phone with there rude people...I gave up and let the CC people deal with them...this is nothing more than a SCAM...there web page says nothing about a 70 dollar charge if you do not cancel in 5 days...we need to shut these people down...what they are doing is nothing short of FRAUD...

I didn't agree to the charge. I was told a packet would be sent and to look over. Nothing arrived. Now I an being charged $138.67 and it's a fraud! I was on hold with the company for 75 mins and nothing! How can they do this! We are looking for help working and they scam us? I read the entire site and nothing was said about a additional charge of $138.67 would be taken in 4 days. I never would have agreed. Has anyone gotten the money back?

In trying to find a work at home job I came across the link for DCA. I read what they had to say about the product and watched one of the videos. I do not recall seeing anything about being charged $139.95 for the program. I have been very careful in reading the fine print as I have lost money before not doing so. When I checked my account I could not figure out what this charge was for. I called my Bank right away and was given the 800 number for DCA. I called them and spoke with JC? who told me that there was a 5-day free trial and all they could give me back would be $70. His English was almost incomprehensible, I have no idea what country he could be from and he spoke as if he didn’t want to be heard. When I asked why I couldn’t’ have the full amount refunded he put me on hold. When he came back on the line he still insisted that all I could get back was $70. I went ahead and agreed but it dawned on me that I could get the Bank to put a stop payment on it and so get my money back. The Bank said that as it was in process I would have to wait until it posted and then call their direct claims dept and report the problem. This is exactly what I will be doing and anyone else out there that this happens to, call your Bank and have them stop the payment no matter how long it takes to get it sorted out. When DCA starts losing money with this plan, maybe then they will be forced to pull the plug on themselves.

I also signed up for the $2.97 fee and was charged a second fee of $2.97 and then a charge for $61.01 and a foreign Transacti0n fee of $2.21. total overcharge of $66.19. I did not get the kit ... I cannot get thru to their phone # . I am going to dispute thru my credit card. I am hoping they will hepl me as I have been banking with them since 1988. this whole process is a scam and should be reviewed legally ! SHUT THEM DOWN AND PUT THEM IN JAIL !

i did this thing through DCA. i paid the $2.95 or whatever it was to get the info on how to work from home. THEN LIKE 2 DAYS LATER THEY CALLED ME AND TOLD ME IT WAS ONLY A 5 DAY TRIAL AND TOLD ME ABOUT THE OTHER CHARGES IF I WANTED TO GO THROUGH WITH IT. I HAD THE OPTION TO SAY YES OR NO. YOU ALL MUST HAVE MISSED THAT PHONE CALL. the $2.95 was ONLY to be able to read and listen to the tutorials on how to work from home. if you want to use the company you have to pay a monthly membership fee. they make you a website to work from. then you load products you want to sell on your website. as they say, you have to spend money to make money. the advertisement or whatever you saw was probably the same one i saw. people claiming to make $5000+ a month working from home. did you really think there was not some sort of a "catch" to it. you will make $5000+ a month and not have to pay someone for the resources they give you. that is the way of the world. how do you think anybody makes any money? nothing in life is free. go sell something on ebay. you have to pay ebay sellers fees for being able to use their services. i dont think anybody got "ripped off" you just didnt "read the fine print"

guys next time please read everything first and don't get too excited. these people working on this company have morals and seen an opportunity on this program and have faith on their service. they stand to they're terms cause they really do have and this business stands for long cause they have valid reasons to charge you since you agree to their terms when you sign up

I fell for this scam as well - I called my bank and they immediately canceled my debit card number and will issue me a new one so no further charges will occur. They got my $2.97, but that's all they're going to get. I feel so stupid signing up for this without researching it first. What a scam!
