This website is participating with the intent on their part and the part of ShopDigitalDirect to deceive the consumer. ShopDigitalDirect.com claim to sell a Canon HF10 camcorder for $449, I place an order and spent 2 hours being hung up on, transferred, and all that runaround to have some kid tell me Canon only offers 3 mo warranty, try to cram extended warranty and other junk down my throat and when I refused to buy, tells me he is canceling my order for the original product i requested, called back numerous times to be told different things and in the end they could not deliver the advertised product.

Diduprice.com's claim is that ShopDigitalDirect.com are a trusted reseller as they advertise on their site, I think diduprice.com website is a sham and clearly does not live up to the claim that their 'trusted resellers' do what is listed on their site ir you hover your mouse over the phrase 'trusted reseller' they clearly state that those companies with that classification do the following;

5. Honor prices and policies displayed on their website.
6. Address customer service complaints quickly and fairly.

That is clearly mis-representation, shopdigitaldirect.com did not do either of those two things and in fact went out of their way to do the exact opposite. Diduprice.com clearly slaps on their website anyone that pays enough to appear on the search terms with no regard for the quality of the advertiser/seller. I would recommend that no credibility is given to these people, there are other reputable sites to shop for electronic prices... diduprice.com is not the way to go. The exception here if there is one, shop with the major retailers which advertise on the site, (why I don't know but intend to also let them know my findings). You can of course go to those retailers' sites directly (bestbuy.com, target.com, circuitcity.com, etc.)

    Thus far, I have ordered three times via three different vendors. All three times, I have cancelled since all three marked as "In Stock" turned out to be "backordered" indefinately.

    Upon calling each one, and inquiring if the item had shipped, the same story- "sorry but the item is on back-order" for 2 weeks. on week later, it became 5 weeks and later finally becoming unknown.

    Same story for each of the three vendors- all through the Diduprice.com site.

    I agree 100 % -never before has there seemed such a clear example of consumer rip off. You think you are buying something great from Shopdigitaldirect. No one answers the phone, when they do there is endless waiting time, transferring you to someone else.You can never get the person you spoke to last and NO ONE TELLS THE TRUTH! I was told the camera was in stock, I fell for the hardsell upgrade-sounded greatbut... only if you get the merchandise. Was told by 4 different people it had shipped, was told by EVERYONE that I would not be billed until shipped, was always told you'll have your tracking # by this evening. Here I am 2+ weeks into this mess and I don't have my merchandise BUT MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED 2+ weeks ago!!! I am frustrated beyond words and feel like there is nothing I can do...I'm convinced now the place is a scam-includiing the diduprice website and surely shopdigitaldirect is off my list of good things-I have been in touch with my credit card company which is about all I can do besides by the camera elsewhere and I will.
    MY ADVICE TO ANYONE WHO CONSIDERS SHOPPING shopdigitaldirect-RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!
    It's not worth the hassle and they really are not going to tell you the truth...there are many good places to shop unfortunately it's places like this that make us afriad of all internet sellers.

    Yup. Be sure to call first and see if your item is in stock. The web site is not accurate. Don't give CC number unless you're sure it's in stock and they can ship.

    while it wouldn't seem to be a DidUPrice thing alone, rather issues with the end-reseller- however- it seems to be the case with all of the ones I tried.

    On Aug 21 I found an ad at: http://shopdigitaldirect.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=7729 stating that I could purchase the camera for $339.00 with free shipping using the United States Postal Service with an approximate delivery time of 6 to 8 days. I ordered the camera using my Bank Debit Card. I received the following receipt.

    On Aug. 23 I received a phone call from a man who said his name was Ken, representing Shop Digital Direct. He stated that the camera I ordered was a "Grey Market" camera, and that if I wanted the American version I would have to pay another $149.00. I told him I would wait and he stated that he would just cancel the order. I told him that I didn't want to cancel the order. And he said, "Fine! Expect it in six to eight weeks"!
    I am not the only victim of this fraud. Below are links to others who have fallen victim to these people and even a link for the NY BBB who lists other names these people are using. And other phone numbers as well.

    I placed an order through diduprice as well only to be asked to contact them by phone where they acted as if i had to call amex to confirm the address I was having them ship it to. After they were unable to upsell me they said my order would arrive in a few weeks, the order that was instock, oh and the projector doesn't come with a bulb or power cable either. Complete scam alerted my credit card company of it. this order was placed on the phodynasty.com website through the diduprice site.

    I had exactly the same thing happen. I ordered a Nikon D90 and received the call the next day, asking whether I wanted one or two batteries with the camera, since it did not come with batteries or a charger. I asked to have it shipped as ordered, and was told that was impossible. They offer the low price, then after you order, you are forced and or tricked into buying the items that should have been included for an extra $300 or more, making the price higher than the legit camera shops. And you are getting gray market products - there is no Nikon Warranty. I thought I was smart enough to avoid this type of Scam, but I fell for the low price. I canceled the credit card before the charge had gone through.
