Diamond Resorts timeshare

The timeshare presentation and the sales pitch was false and misleading. They promised a unit and then when I went to stay there they claimed I was entitled to a unit that faced the street. This was supposed to be an upgrade from an ocean front view unit. I attended the presentation and expected to be treated fairly but there were great discrepancies between representatives verbal presentation and the timeshare I actually received. Do not be fooled this is a true rip off. They do not live up to there word. Do not believe Diamond Resorts International/Ocean Beach Club you will be very very disappointed!

Diamond Resorts allow room switch stayed 5/4 5/7

My stay was so bad . They allowed me to switch rooms with my sister because she had a 1st floor and my foot was in a boot . Then they did not realize my sister was only staying 2 days and my stay was 3 . I was at the Grand Canon and I got a call from my sister that she was checking out and they told her we have to more out of the room . I was so upset . My sister and her husband had to more three people stuff which did get very mixed up into the room upstairs which they first said was not available because it was booked for one more day but that was by me . The manager Patricia was not very apologetic and only she gave us some fees back . I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN ! They do not know what they are doing .

Diamond Resorts interval international exchange

Re: Membership # [protected]
Gerald R. Poissant and Susan B. Cope

On or about February 15, 2018 we submitted a search request through Interval International for a unit in the Kona Coast Resort during a certain period of time.

On April 17, 2018 we received a confirmation from Interval International for Pending Exchange # [protected] which was 7 nights beginning November 3, 2018 at the Kona Coast Resort Phase II. The exchange required 3, 375 points.

We also had a reservation for that same week at the Pointe at Poipu (Reservation # [protected]). I called Diamond Resorts to advise them of the pending exchange with Interval International. I requested that, once the exchange with Interval International had been completed, they should cancel our reservation for that week at the Point at Poipu.

Yesterday a 2nd search request with Interval International was completed with Pending Exchange # [protected] for 7 nights at the Marriott Ko Olina beginning October 20, 2018. This exchange required 2, 435 points.

This morning I planned to book our airline reservations for a 4-week, 4-island vacation in Hawaii to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.

When I logged into my account (A/C# 3579813) with Interval International, I saw the pending exchange for the Marriott Ko Olina, but the exchange for the Kona Coast Resort was not in the account.

When I called Interval International, I was advised that the pending exchange had expired on May 2, 2018 because Diamond Resorts had not approved the exchange.

At no time did I receive a call from Interval International or Diamond Resorts to advise me that the pending exchange was not confirmed,

To the best of my knowledge I had sufficient points in my account to cover this exchange. If I was mistaken, at a minimum I should have received a phone call from Diamond Resorts advising me. There were without questions sufficient points in our account for 2019 which could have been borrowed back to 2018 if necessary.

Yesterday we were so excited that the last leg of a trip we had been working on for 3 months had finally been completed (subject to Diamond Resort's completion of the exchange) and today we were crestfallen to find that we had lost one of the weeks we had booked.

Clearly Diamond Resorts has a systems deficiency that needs to be remedied.

We have submitted a new search request with Interval International, but we are now starting over 3 months after our original request.

This is disappointing in the extreme.

Any assistance you can provide in completing the exchanges for the Marriott Ko Olina and the Kona Coast Resort would be greatly appreciated.

Diamond Resorts timeshare scammers

We attended this presentation without the intention of buying anything. They completely misled us. What was supposed to have been 1.5 hour presentation, turned out to be a full day out of our vacation. They made it seem that it would be so cheap to get into a timeshare. They showed us a cheap monthly payment on a scribbled piece of paper that they didn't want to give us when we asked for it. The originals numbers presented never showed up on any of the documents rec'd afterward. We felt tricked into signing. Avoid this company. This mislead by acting nice and wonderful, only to hit you with an expensive cost later.

Diamond Resorts my entitled vacation

My complaint is being denied my right to vacation time. I inherited this property in 2015. As it is my responsibility to pay the fees I did. At that time I had to fight for my points was given 3500 bill was paid. Later 2016 called requesting my rollover they couldn't find me. So I updated my info once again. Mind you no one returns your call. I tried several times to get the internet access to roll my points only to get an error message again I called have info then was given instructions to access. It failed. Moving forward to 2017. I called regarding points again had to update info moving forward I finally received a bill 2/2017. When I called they told me my info was updated in may 2017. That's why the late billing. I finally got email acces in February. I paid 1800 to bring account current only to be told I have no points and that the companies marketing head denies anyone to get there past points lost to them. What! I have paid 1800 in March and 797 in 2016. And I have still being denied a weeks vacation. What kind of sc is this! I have made over 5 calls over the past month and was told to email management about my complaint which I did over a week ago. Still no one has acknowledged me. STAY AWAY. They only care adult quotas. I may just have to contact a lawyer to see what my rights are. I'm hoping to get out of this and possibly refund my money since I never got services I paid for. This company only cares about quotas and bonuses. For the amount I paid I could have went to Hawaii

Diamond Resorts timeshare/ sampler package

On Sunday March 25th, 2018 we entered the Circus Circus Hotel and were greeted by a Diamond Resorts International representative. He ushered us to the desk and another representative talked us into attending a 120 minutes time share presentation. For this we had to put down a $40 deposit and were promised show tickets and dinner for attending. On Monday 3/26/2018 at 11:25am we left for the resort. We got there at 11:45am. We sat down with a man name John he told us briefly about the presentation we were going to sit through. We were then ushered into a presentation room where another man presented the information about the timeshare and we were then taken back by John to discuss the opportunity to become a time share owner. My husband an I told John we were not interested he told us he had to finish his presentation and then we could talk to his manager. We again told them we were not interested because it was over $12, 000. The supervisor came and talked to us and we again said that we were not interested, and we weren't going to spend that kind of money on a vacation package. We were then escorted to another woman. At this time, we have been at the resort for 3.5 hours. We asked to leave at this time and they said there were going to refund our $40 deposit and get us our free gifts. We just had to look at one more option. This option was a Sampler package 20, 000 points for $3995.00. I asked the woman that was now pressuring us if we signed up for this if I had buyer's remorse could I get out of it. She asked me to explain buyer's remorse to here as she didn't understand. So, I explained to her if I signed up for this, so we could leave, if I wanted to I could get out of it. She assured me that there was not obligation and I would be able to cancel and any time. I told her I wanted to leave and felt like this was a hostage situation and I could only leave if I signed up for something. This woman told us we were financing the $3995 through DRI and I have since found out that they signed us up for a credit card we did not have any knowledge of. We signed the documents on a tablet and the information that we could not cancel or rescind was not on the original forms we signed. I feel like we were held hostage for 5 hours and we were only able to leave once we signed up for the timeshare. The other issue is that if we would have signed up for the time share we would have had a grace period to get out of it, but since we signed up for the sampler package there is no recourse. I sent a certified letter to the company on 3/29/18 stating I wanted out of the contract and they stated there was nothing they would do. I have also contacted the credit card company and disputed the charges they have told me it takes up to 2 billing cycles to get a resolution. This is abusive sales practice. We were taken by a bus to another location and were not able to leave until we signed up. We asked several times to leave and were kept there against our will. We felt the only way to leave and continue our vacation was to sign up for something.

Diamond Resorts diamond resorts international

I have some concerns with my timeshare. I went to a promotion in November 2016, I was pressured into buying a higher priced timeshare than I already had. Than in December 2017, I took one of the vacations with my points. I was only on a 4 day vacation and the sales people wasted a half a day of my vacation pressuring me into buying more vacation time that I did not need or want. I told the salesman I was not interested but it seemed like I could not enjoy my vacation until I brought something. I ended up buying the Sampler. I told the salesman, I did not need any more vacations due to the point I am still working and I can not get off to take vacations the way Diamond is programed for. I also told them I could only take mini vacations, like over a 3 or 4 day weekend. The salesman said no problem you can do that through the Sampler.

I keep looking on the sampler and there is never any last minute or short vacations to take. Now I have found myself having to take a 2nd job to try to pay for all of these vacations I don't have time to take. I am so disappointed and depressed I don't know what to do. This is not what I was promised.

Diamond Resorts luxury sampler

I am unable to book cruises or luxury hotels because I have to do it through diamond resorts website and we are locked out of being able to use it for some unknown reason. I have been trying for the last two months to get the issue resolved. I can't get past a supervisor and the supervisor is not getting back to me. I can't even find a phone number to call Diamond Resorts headquarters in Las Vegas directly.

Diamond Resorts mark kreciak - lake taho vacation resort

My husband and I went to find out the changes based on the new management and were horrified when Mr. Kreciak informed us we were not Platinum owners. I told him there must be a mistake and he insisted that he was not. He also said that whatever happens in Vegas has nothing to do with him. I reminded him that he represents Diamond Resorts International and he said no! He did not make any sense. We left because he said our time was up. He did not answer any questions -- he wasted our time and also he gave us indigestion. I had to call Corporate right away to verify that we indeed are Platinum owners. Why else are we paying such huge payments on our HOA and dues. He either needs traininIg or is not fit to represent Diamond! We have been owners for over 20 years and this is the first time, where me and John were so distressed.

Frankly, I was ready to file a lawsuit, however, I better call the corporate office. They verified we are platinum owners. Such a representative does not represent Diamond International in good light. Mr. Marl Kreciak should be re-trained and should not lead any type of team at a Diamond facility.

My initial question was if we could pay our due with our points -- we did not get our answer because of this situation.

Very frustrated customers! Teresa and John R. Chavez - P.o. Box 11451, Zephyr Cove, NV 89448. 714-[protected]. Thank you,

Maybe someone could call me and answer my questions that were left answered.

Diamond Resorts liki tiki village in orlando florida

My name is Haynes Davis and I am currently a Diamond Resort owner. I recently stayed at the Liki Tiki Village in Orlando Florida 12/26/2017 through 1/1/2018 along with my Family. We also reserved a room for two friends. I am very disgusted in the resort. When we checked in after a long 16 hour drive the front desk attendant gave us a room that was already occupied. We had already lugged our baggage to the 4th floor and had to wait around until we got another room. The maintenance and up-keep on the property, and rooms is seriously lacking. The rooms had roaches. I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and many bugs were scurrying around. The sliding glass door handle was broken in room 1212F and the door to the patio would not open in room 1242E. We had to have maintenance come fix both rooms the first night. The furniture is very old, damaged, not maintained or cleaned. The couch smelled like alcohol and throw-up in both units. The remotes on the TV would not respond all the time. We could only change the volume and channel sometimes after frustratingly trying the remote for several minutes. The bathrooms were not cleaned well. The elevator is very old and unkempt the door opened very slowly sometimes taking 1 to 2 minutes to open. I was worried the elevator would break down while we were in it. I am very unhappy, we pay a lot of money for our time share, and to have an experience like we did is unacceptable. How can you offer these rooms and facility to people that pay a lot of money to stay in a resort with the standard you advertise you have? I would like either all my points on this trip refunded and good for at least 2 or more years, or waive my maintenance fee for the year. You can reach me at [protected] or [protected]@gmail.com

Sincerely,
Haynes Davis

Diamond Resorts sampler package

07/2017
I am a member since many years enjoying resorts with diamond resorts, with very good impression, so far no complains at all and we have to recognize this part of the business, which is very well established.
we decide to buy a sampler package as a next step
11/29/2017
So, for the new package "sampler package" we felt that we made a mistake, terrible mistake... the purpose purchasing this package was to increase time life vacation in a short time, having more availability due to more points, flexibility, etc, but it was not.
We learned that this package offer a very limited options versus owner/member that we already have, we did the exercise today, using the 2 accounts...
we went to the website trying to do a bookings, first web doesn't work ( upgrade or maintenance period according with one of the representatives over the phone). and it just started!
Obviously we end up making the reservation by phone, after (marathon) more than 1 hour on the phone, after more than 5 representatives and after more than 5 times repeating security questions to each one... patience goes away rapidly in our side.
But worst after all this process, we have been advised that is mandatory a 60 minutes tour during the time of our planned vacations in the resort... and a as part of the signed contract... shame on us not reading it before and shame on the sale representative not telling us that this part of the deal. Can you imagine attending such tours every time you go in vacations? If you don't attend then they will charge you full stay in usd.

After all and on top you don't have confirmations of your bookings immediately, you need to wait for 48/72 hours to get confirmation by email... while any other virtual platform can give you a booking confirmation in less than 5 minutes.

I do not recommend this product at all. we felt in another debt for a product that not deserve a single penny. I do recommend to run away of this product.
Hopefully someone on the BOD diamond or customer service will take care of it and find solutions, quick ones because diamond resort with this product will lose credibility, they already lose ours.

Diamond Resorts unethical behaviour high pressure sale

Was in Alas Vegas 10/23-10/27. We were swarmed by people as soon as we entered our hotel the Stratosphere to visit a vacation opportunity. We went to the Polo on Tuesday at 1130 and we given a talk on buying vacation time [time share never mentioned til contract] . we were actual getting married at 5 and they were still talking to us at 4. I was trying to leave but they said they would get us ride so they blew thru paperwork because it sounded so good. We then went back next day and things had change I should have been more forceful because I kept telling her something was not right. we stayed til earlier Friday then came home. finally on Sat afternoon I went thru paperwork and found I thing I had half a contract . I called and was told I signed it so I got it all so I read him page by page then he told me he would email all the paperwork I' still waiting. Later the salesman Rich called me and told me we would make first payment then it would get reduced he would call us on 12/8/17 to do this. They told us different payments and for different amount of years. We tried to cancel and they said we weren't quick enough we could fine a hardship that's their new scam according to lawyer from Vegas. we were there to get married and we fell for some unethical tactics. they cause confusion and help fix it. Beware of the Diamond.

Diamond Resorts sampler package

We have now completed our two year stint with DRI and I am back to report on our overall experience. We do not recommend the Sampler package because there were numerous communication problems with the staff and it is not a good value. We also learned from several staff members that they deliberately give substandard accommodations to Sampler members (which makes no sense if they are trying to get us to buy into their timeshare).

We were misinformed from the start when we were misled into thinking we only had to pay $349 down and could book right away. In actuality, we had to pay $1, 000 down (or make four monthly installment payments) and we were unable to book our reservation until two weeks later because they were still processing the paperwork. If the salesman had been upfront about the amount of money required down and the amount of time it takes to close escrow, we could have avoided a great deal of inconvenience and disappointment.

After much frustration and aggravation, we were finally able to book our vacation at the Ka'anapali Beach Resort in Maui, and when we arrived we were faced with the nasty surprise that our room only had one queen bed and a fold-out couch, whereas we were advised by the Sampler staff who booked the reservation that we had reserved two queen beds. We had to pay $600 cash to upgrade to a different room with two queen beds.

Next trip was to Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort. When we got there we were faced with another nasty surprise that the pool and jacuzzi were not available due to scheduled maintenance they knew about months in advance, but the Sampler staff who booked the reservation failed to inform us of. Had we known we never would have booked. Hotel management said the Sampler people absolutely should have informed us of this advertised amenity that was unavailable, and the timeshare salesman even said that we should be compensated for the error. Words cannot describe how this ruined the trip for us. Someone from DRI was supposed to call us to make some sort of amends, but they never did. The trip cost us thousands of dollars over and above the room reservations and we feel we wasted a weeks vacation over a huge disappointment.

Also their line about being able to book side trips is a bunch of baloney because even though we tried numerous times, they were always booked. So we went ahead and booked for cash at one of their resorts in Sedona, which ended up being cheaper than using our points. We also went on a timeshare tour there and encountered the most disgustingly dishonest salesman we have ever met. He conned us into another Sampler by telling outright lies, and we had to go through weeks of red tape to get our money back when we found out about his blatant treachery.

We feel that we performed in good faith and lived up to our obligation, whereas they did not. We were repeatedly misled. Every month we faithfully paid the $168 for 18 months plus the $349 down, plus the extra $600 in Maui. All in all we paid close to $4, 000 for two weeks accommodations which averaged out to $285 per night. We learned that we could have easily booked the rooms for less than that on our own. And every step of the way we encountered nothing but obstacles and difficulties, and many times outright lies and dishonesty.

The hotels are ok, but the timeshare and sampler staff ruin everything for everyone. They think they are doing us some huge favor by letting us pay thousands of dollars for overpriced rooms that are rarely available to Sampler members and putting us in subpar rooms. Thanks but no thanks.

Diamond Resorts no refund given during hurricane irma

I booked a trip through Expedia to
stay at Orbit One Vacation Villas in Kissimmee, Orlando, FL with my two small children and husband from September 6th-September 13th. We booked this hotel because our home in Miami experienced a mandatory evacuation due to us living in a flood zone. We checked into Orbit One on the 6th,
but after seeing that Hurricane Irma would be affecting Central Florida as well, we decided to check out the next day on the 7th and leave the state. Since we did not expect any of this to happen and we have very little money, I tried calling Expedia to see if I would be able to receive a refund for the days/nights we did not stay at Orbit One (from the 7th-13th). Expedia stated that they had flexible cancellation and refund policies due to the hurricane, but when they called Diamond Resorts to see if they would agree to return our money, we were told that they would not do so because there is a penalty for cancellations. I am truly appalled that Diamond Resorts did this knowing full well that Hurricane Irma was going to hit FL in the next couple of days. Although the hurricane has come and gone, this is still a difficult time for my family and I as we are still displaced from our home. It seems Diamond Resorts does not care about how a disaster like this affects their customers. It warmed my heart to see all of these other big businesses trying to do their best to alleviate the stress of this situation, except you. I have even tried contacting them directly twice over the last week and have not received a response. You should be ashamed of yourselves for taking advantage of people during a disaster.

Diamond Resorts general

I am a member of Diamond Resorts. I live in England, UK. When I looked online to book a holiday in Spain, I found the same timeshare places cheaper than Diamond. The price is based purely on the cost I paid on my Annual Maintenance Fee. Some alternative companies offered places where Diamond had no vacancies.
The Main problem I have with Diamond is that they are selling holidays at the Timeshare I stay and they are cheaper than what I pay.
Based on the above, I can see no reason to want to stay as a member of Diamond

Diamond Resorts pressured into buying; fake promises & no contact.

I went to the stratosphere the ending of June 2017 with my family where these people approached us and pressured us into signing up for this "tour" of a resort. They refused to let us walk away until we signed their paper and handed over a credit card. The original lady even followed us to make sure that we signed the paper with her coworkers. The next day we went on the "tour" that was supposed to only be an hour long and they promised us all these free travel packages and tickets to see a live show when we were done. They had 4-5 different people talking to us about all these things and how good it was and refused to let us leave; not to mention they drove us there so we had no idea how to even get back to our hotel which was miles away. We signed what we had to in order to leave and they finally let us go. We called them the next day saying that we couldn't use our tickets because they let us out too late and that we were over it because we were already going back home to Hawaii. They said to hold on a few days and that they would send us our welcome packet & information on a credit card that they signed us up for. We waited, sent several emails and left multiple voice mails on different phone numbers. No one ever got back to us. Finally at the ending of August a lady talked to me (instead of a recording or automated menu to press this number and that number) who transferred me to 2 different departments so that I could file a complaint about not receiving any information about their services or the credit card. A few days later a different lady emailed me saying that there was no way that they could cancel our contract or refund any of our money because we signed the contract and didn't cancel within the 5 "cooling off" day period. I told her that we were forced to sign the contract in order to leave and that I've been trying to contact them for the past 2 months and no one calls or emails me back. Everytime I went on their website there was an error. I told her the company is fraudulent and we got scammed and ripped off. The only thing diamond resorts international is capable of doing is forcing you into these "contracts" and then leaving you stranded with bogus phone numbers, email addresses and websites so that you can't get out of it. It's been over 2 months and I still haven't received the "welcome packet" with our "member number" and we don't even know what company this credit card is with. I'm sure I'm even late on a payment to that fake credit card company too. This company definitely ruined my first trip to Las Vegas. They wasted an hour of my night pressuring me into signing up for their "tour" when I was just trying to look at the stratosphere for the first time with my family. Then they wasted 4 hours of my last full day of my vacation for the "tour" that was only supposed to be an hour in which I was forced to sign their contract just to be able to leave the room.

I had the same worst experience . when I checked into the green point hotel in Orlando Florida, the person who is sitting near the front desk wasted my time and told will offer some free cruise tickets if I attend this one hour meeting the next day. When I attended the meeting they literally forced me to sign the contract, even with out reading it properly and they told that with the sampler agreement I can book international flight tickets. And When I called them to book the tickets, they said sampler agreement is only to book hotels and cannot be used for airfare. They totally fooled me. I clearly remember them saying for travel fare .I called the customer service, they addressed this issue to the sales lead . The sales lead who spoke to me was very rude over phone and said that I can proceed legally if I have to cancel the contract. This is a very annoying situation. They need to take action against this nonsense and it even ruins the reputation of the hotels which have this concierge teams.

Diamond Resorts sample pack

Aug 22 2017 las vegas, my wife and I went to diamond resort presentation. We were convinced to buy 2 year sample pack. I was refused the "credit" so they ran my wife's name, she was approved. We wanted to use "free" cruise to give to my parents. We originally looked into this to take our families to Disney land. Turns out everything she told us was a false. She said cruise was free, its not. She said we could get whatever room we wanted, that was wrong, your company is nothing but a bunch of liars. We went back the next day to cancel because of all the bs you gave us, we sent a letter. Majority of numbers you gave me don't even work and nobody will call me back. We returned home and now my wife and I both received seperate credit cards...weird...we weren't even told they were opening a credit card account. Your company is rediculous

Please help me

Diamond Resorts fraudulent sale of vacation sampler

Mr. Flaskey,
On May 22, 2017 my wife Susan and I entered into an agreement (contract ) to purchase a Sampler vacation package for $3999.00 and put down an initial $349.00 on our Wyndham Rewards card which I am now disputing. This occurred during a vacation timeshare meeting at Diamond Resort's Branson Mo. Resort and it was in a very boiler room and high pressure atmosphere. Later we determined that the cost was too high for us and for what we were getting. We were told we had 72 hours to cancel by Mr. John Lawyer, which is the reason we signed up in the first place, and we cancelled on May 24, 2017, and Diamond Resorts has refused to honor our cancellation ever since. We sent everything back, including the Tablet but they are not being honest and following the rules. We want a full refund and cancellation of all charges. In the contract that we signed and initialed there was small fine print that stated we can't cancel this contract once agreed to even though we were told we could cancel within 3 days by Mr. Lawyer and his gang. We were treated dishonestly and steered away from any fine print and told it was not important. Very high pressure and miserable experience. From Missouri and Nevada law you have 3 days to cancel a travel club and 5 days to cancel a timeshare (see page 10 in the doc below)

Mr. John Lawyer ( Sampler Manager ) told us we had 3 days to cancel, but they will not allow this since there is fine print in the contract that says that it can't be cancelled. The contract is illegal according to Missouri and Nevada Law. John Lawyer, John.[protected]@diamondresorts.com will do or say anything in order to sell something no matter what the consequences ( very unprofessional and profane ). We were treated badly and unprofessionally by Mary Beany [protected], ext. 21032, and Angelique and/or Anastasia [protected] ext. 21164. We should get a complete refund. Thanks.

Jeffrey and Susan Jones
