DHL Express extremely rude and ignorant delivery staff

This is to advice DHL customers particularly from Abu Dhabi regarding an incredibly ignorant and arrogant DHL delivery staff with serious attitude issues. The name is Riyadh DHL UAE ID No. 12811, surprisingly for someone who seems comfortable scolding and shouting at his customers, he is confident enough to give his name and ID! He must have gotten away with his attitude several times in DHL to be this arrogant!

The issue is not even about delivery service, but question on his basic ethics, respect for other people especially customers, proper working attitude, professionalism, knowledge of the job and pure simple common sense, specifically:

1. Service and Delivery staff/crew must never raise their voice and shout at their customer in phone and in person, , quickly assuming they are stupid because he was given a wrong address, especially if they are the ones at fault ( he did not read the address properly) and not the customer.
2. If their mistake is proven, he must sincerely apologize to the customer, show respect assuring it will not happen again.
3. Never ever dispute and invent lies or imaginary locations just to prove himself correct at all cost, to satisfy his ego.
4. Be respectful to the customer, especially if delivering in their home or office. ( he did his antics in a government office )
5. In any religion, culture or country, never ever shout at a lady ( and a customer too, right in her own premises)
6. As a delivery staff, being professional dictates having basic knowledge on correct Abu Dhabi roads and location and not mere hearesay. Showing inept knowledge of such with his kind of job, clearly makes him unworthy of the job!

Someone who is in touch personally with the customer to deliver services, his actions listed herein is completely unacceptable by any standards.

As a complaint is already filed against this person through appropriate customer service channels, this is hereby addressed to the Human Resources and training Department of DHL UAE, in all its branches in the Emirates.

There is urgent need to check lapses in your hiring system that allowed unworthy individuals with serious attitude problems to get hired in your company. Thank you.

DHL Express audit your invoices and do not give them your credit card

I have been using DHL for over 5 years, I have to admit that their non US service is great, once packages leave the US they get delivered on time. I recently discovered a billing error where DHL surcharged me over $1000.00 to ship a large package to Saudi Arabia. Luckily I had my DHL quote and package information recorded. I created a billing dispute and DHL refused to correct the issue, I started the process back in February and I realize that I was dealing with complete idiots!

They refused to recognize that their were billing me for package dimensions that exceeded manufacturer packaging specs, it is almost if the package grew within DHL sort system. After multiple emails and certified letters, DHL continues to call me on weekly basis looking for payment and I have to tell them every time that the invoice is not over due, it is in dispute, all I asked them to do is correct their mistake. But hold on, it is a mistake or an opportunity to enhance revenue?

In talking with other EX DHL customers, I realized that DHL has a long history of padding the invoices. So buyer be aware, audit your invoices and do not give them your credit card.

DHL Express haven't received my package after 4 months

I am in Dubai. I bought fitness supplements from bodybuilding.com 4 months ago but haven't received that till today. My tracking number is: GM15318098005361893. The seller ask met to keep waiting. Have no patient to wait, I sent an email (below) to DHL on December, but till today there wasn't any response from DHL.

I wonder where do the hell DHL person are going as none respond it. Up till today, it's been 4 months since the date the package was sent.

Really hope anyone from DHL care to respond this email.

DHL Express shipment being held and non delivery

I have a package being held at this point with who know whom that came from China.

It's a massage machine, being sold on EBay by the hundreds. DHL has the machine since the 21st, today being the 10th day of it's arrival in the US. They claim that the FDA is holding it. So I decided to call the FDA myself and find out why and if they needed something to help get the process faster. To my surprise they said they are not holding the machine and that the number provided by DHL doesn't even show up in their system and that the number is invalid. I believe the FDA since I received 2 calls from them saying exactly the same thing. I also work with a broker that knows someone in Customs that said they are not holding it either.

I send emails, make phone calls to find out more and more how incompetent DHL is and that they don't care at all if the customer has urgency and pays a fortune to have shipments expedited for nothing. I had to reschedule an International flight 3 times due to this delay and will probably have to do it again tomorrow since there is no response from them different than: your package is being held for inspection by the FDA. You go online and it says Clearance delay. 10 Days! Who is lying? Where is my shipment?

DHL Express dhl stole my iphone 4s from the box.

I've sent my 2 new Black iPhone 4S 16GB back to Bangkok, Thailand by DHL Express.
But they opened my box and stole one of my iPhone 4S out from the sealed package and taped with their DHL tape.
They left me with iPhone box with accessories but no iPhone 4S.
They sent my package to Brisbane, Australia that's not a normal route from LHR to BKK so that it must take time and confuse to
track the theft that stole my iPhone 4S.
I've contacted DHL Express UK and Thailand but nothing coming up for 1 month! They just let me wait for nothing.
Although I've report this case to Bangkok Police and UK police and immobilise database.

DHL Express delayed express mail delivery

I had an important business document to be sent overnight. I mistakenly selected DHL. It was sent on a Thursday morning and by Monday morning, no news other than the tracking site saying it was sitting in the sorting section waiting to be delivered. I spoke with the courier and he explained that there was an incorrect address on package, which was not true. Then when I gave him the correct address, courier dissappeared and did not deliver document. When I contacted DHL and asked to speak with a manager, a received a long lecture on how the courier was very busy and didn't have time to deliver document. Rather than simply fixing situation and delivering, they simply gave me impression that customer is always wrong with DHL. My advice is that if you need to have a document delivered to Russia urgently, select another company - with DHL it is anything but express and customer service is awful and offensive.

DHL Philippines a nightmare to do business with - I am very frustrated with DHL service in Manila. DHL Express service

I have bought electrical goods outlets throughout the Kuala Lumpur Courts, unfortunately it did not I get the problem that I've ever experienced at other vendors, such as Harvey Norman, Best Denki and others.
two times I buy at the Courts I have the same problem, why? ..
when I ask questions to clients and employees Courts, I found the delivery of goods is done by DHL Malaysia Berhad, on contract.
if in the name of it, for me of any service should be good though not perfect, of course I can understand.
the problem that I get is a lot of wasted time, the effect on my work hours, one day late sending stuff like that on the promise, do not hesitate to contact me. was twice the items arrive incomplete, do not install stuff that has come, the promise to come next week to pairs of items. after three weeks did not go to install, how DHL? hope that a large company but do not go together at all like the tv ads, magazines and so on.
what I see all the workers in the Courts by the customer insults on DHL's own mistakes. and after this, I hope that DHL can change the way their work is not satisfactory.
here also the problem that I mentioned what I learned from DHL Courts:
slow stock updates
late delivery.
not enough stuff up.
send the remaining items next week, but did not get to two to three weeks.
empty promises
slow to respond
almost all problems are of its own DHL ..
I hope all be completed soon, so thank you.

dear DHL
your company has by far the worst service i have ever experienced. This is
the first time and the last time I have used DHL. next time i order a
package internationally i make sure they do not send the package to me
with DHL. first you neglect to tell me or the shipper that your re-route
service is useless because it went to texas anyway instead of here in nj.
then you told me you would deliver it and you didn't. then another
representative, a rude one i might add tells me that U.S customs took my
package and they don't know where it is. as a matter of fact all of your
representatives are rude and useless. my package should have been here
april 27th. but today is may 6th and still no package. another one of your
representaives had the audacity to tell me you guys are #1 in
international shipping. give me a break. if a merchant only used DHL i
would not order from them. i am warning everyone i know so they will not have
to suffer like i did. you should be ashamed of how you treat customers.

My mom send some food stuff from india through a local courier which came here through dHL. When i opened the package i found some of the food packages are epmty. i was so upstate to see this. I will make sure that i will not use services from DHL again in my life because of this Experience. i will Let my friends and family not to use DHL service specially india DHL.

DHL Express engagement ring lost!

Thanks for ruining my good memories of my engagement DHL Townsville! We sent my engagement ring to Brisbane from Townsville last Wednesday - but your same day delivery service has failed to get it there in a week. Tiffany & Co in Brisbane are now saying your Townsville branch can't find it. But something strange happened after we delivered it- your courier called us and demanded to know what was in the package - which Tiffany's said was unusual. And now it's disappeared off the face of the planet. Pull your finger out DHL and find my ring! I was proposed to in Italy two weeks ago - I was sad enough to have to send it away for a few weeks. But now you guys have lost it I may never see it again - a very unhappy engagement that I'm sure the media would love to hear about!

DHL Express shipment late

Dear Sir/Madam,

My Name is Javed Iqbal I m From IPHO MALAYSIA.
I send One Gift to my Son In Pakistan at 10/09/2011 Via DHL Bill No. [protected].

Until Now 17/09/2011 my son not get his Birth Day gift I call many time [protected] how many time i not remember every time i got only one answer to get.
At track system 16/09/2011 my shipment at Lahore Pakistan With delivery courier 9:30Am even thy update system without any communication.
Me and my son safariing uncomfortable like i make any mistake. To send it via DHL thy promise 3 working now more then 7 day gone already no result i call Pakistan office thy ask me we are busy i do not know thy come as worker or come as picnic i want make legal action against DHL behave and my Headache. Please advice me what i do...?

DHL Express excessive delay in transit time for the cargo booked from india (chennai) to nigeria (lagos)

i booked cargo from our supplier - Amara Raja Batteries in India from chennai to Nigeria - Lagos. Our company has been appointed as an authorized dealer of Amaron Battery brand. We booked our cargo (20 feet box type container) through DHL-Nigeria (as they are also working as a forwarding agent for containerize cargo). The agreed and informed transit time by the DHL - Nigeria was 45 days and they gave us the wrong shipping line name. Initially they delay the handover of Container as they have very poor co ordination with their offices in different countries. My Cargo which was loaded into CSAV (GESEACO SHIPPING LINE) - pre charged Automotive batteries has left india on 9th July and still it has not reached to Nigeria. The cargo is in Durban - South Africa right now and when we ask them about the next loading the shipping line is saying now it will go to Malaysia and from there again it will be loaded to some other destination. It means there is not any seriousness about the cargo and about the customer. We are loosing so much of money on this cargo other than this it is a pre charged automotive batteries and if it will not reach in time then these batteries will be useless to me. I am surprised with the behaviour of the shipping line and carelessness of DHL company also. Please suggest what should i do now. This is a very big loss to our company and other than this we are facing big problem from our appointed distributors in Nigeria .They are continuously asking for the batteries and we are not able to supply them. Please suggest what should we do in this case. I would suggest to the people that they should not prefer DHL'S CONTAINERIZE FORWARDING SERVICES AND GESEACO (CSAV) SHIPPING LINE IS ALSO ONE OF THE WORST SHIPPING LINE . YOU SHOULD NOT USE BOTH OF THESE. DHL Express may steal your goods!

I was registered here previously, but forgot registration email, so re-registered.

I want to tell you about Chinese DHL agents, which steal your goods.

Story is in following. My Uncle lives in Shenzhen, with his wife and kids. I decided to buy several dual sim mobile phones and lcd tv for my car. I asked him to purchase them for me, and then send trough DHL. Everything was purchased, He called local DHL agent company to send me the goods, and they were sent. I got tracking ID, everything seem to be fine.

One day, goods arrived, DHL guy brought them to me. But when I checked supplied invoice, I discovered, that only two mobile phones were stated, where it should be 3. I thought, that there may be problems with 3rd one, and my uncle doesn't sent it now. I decided to call him next day (since time zone differs, at china it was deep night, when I got goods). Next day I called my Uncle, he was amased to hear that. He had sent me 3 mobiles, and has paper from agent, to whom he handled goods. He called that agent, and they said, yes, we've received 3 mobiles from you, and 3 were sent. Then I contacted local DHL to clarify the situation. They checked their documents and said, that, invoice which arrived with goods, was sent from HK DHL, and they'll ask them for further info. Soon we received answer from HK DHL, that they received these goods from their agent, and declared were 2 mobile phones, not 3.

Then my uncle contacted that DHL agent in china, asking for answer. They started to refuse everything, also to provide us with document they got with HK DHL. When he pushed on them, they stated that "you're teamed with HK DHL, they stole goods, and now ruining our good name" Absurd situation, isn't it?

My Uncle then called Shenzhen police. And you know what was their answer? it was nearly: "Phone cost is not so much, better forget it, since no one was murdered, doesn't worths any attention". As my uncles wife said (she's chinese), this is typical relation to foreigners problems in china, and we'd really better forget this phone.

I have invoices I've received with goods at hands, also I have scanned paper from that agent whom my uncle gived phones. I also know agent company, agent personnel name and responsive manager name. I want to post it here, so everybody be aware of such stealing chinese agent.

DHL Express untimely delivery

I would like to express my extreme frustration over the lack of promised communication re the delivery of my package by DHL . After 7 phone calls over the past 4 days inquiring as to the status of my package, I have been given a litany promises and outright lies that I would be called via the telephone to give me an update within an hour. Delivery was promised on Wed June 15, so I took a day off work. Alas it was not delivered and I am home again today going through the same routine of futile phone calls. The customer service reps on each occasion took me through the same routine and so it became clear that no information was being recorded. They provided a number to call [protected] which is permanently busy and so is a complete waste of time. Common courtesy would suggest a phone call advising me of delivery status. To refer to me as a valued customer as written in their documentation is therefore a total misrepresentation of their commitment to their clients. I would suggest Canadians give this company a total miss and try FedEx.

I have had similar issues with DHL. We had a billing dispute of over $30, 000 and they refused to assist - that is till I found the email addresses of the Corp CEO and US CEO. I got a response the very next day. After that, they were falling all over themselves to assist me.

DHL Express customer service

I received a phone call from DHL Larnaca Office to inform me that a package was awaiting my collection.
I checked their web site to confirm their opening hours, it said 0800hrs until 1300hrs. I was at the door of DHL at 1155hrs the following day only to find that the door was locked and that all lights inside were out. No notice on the door informing customers why. And for that matter no opening hours information. Typical of Cyprus! A law to themselves! I did a round trip of 22 miles for nothing and to make matters worse I have to make the same jurney again on Monday if I want the package!

DHL Express not delivered in time

Paid dhl on a friday to deliver a package to romania on monday as it was urgent and the post office won't deliver as fast.Driver came to pick up my package and did not let me fill in the paper work, did it himself and rush me sign as he was in a hurry.At about 2pm on monday called to check why the package hasn't arrive and was told i'll be called back. No call by 6:30 pm and had to call back myself only to be told that the package will not be received in romania untill tuesday.Because the receiver tel nr was not on the paper work.dhl are not as fast as they claim to be and their people are not well trained.Customer services won't even let me talk...and i could go on and on...
I will never use dhl again. I paid £70 so that my package will be there monday as it was for a very important meeting that my husband had schedueled for tue morning. £ 70 FOR NOTHING!

DHL Express undelivered/lost package/lying dhl managers

Had a package sent to me from Singapore on May 3, 2011. By May 5th, it had reached Hong Kong and then been sent out. That is, according to DHL's online tracking system. I actually have no idea if it ever left Singapore OR Hong Kong. They jst seem to make it up as they go along.

It is now May 15th 2011 and DHL still has not delivered my package. They also don't seem to know where it god's name it is. I have called their toll free number every day for the past week, at least twice a day trying to get answers as to its whereabouts. I have been told that the last place it was 'scanned in' their system was in Cincinnati, Ohio, yet this doesn't show on their online tracking system at all. Yet another time I was told it had gone through Anchorage, Alaska. THAT also doesn't show in their tracking system. They have promised to call me back several times and have broken their promise every time. I have also called their Ontario office many times - in excess of 10 - and left complete, detailed messages with my name, phone number and tracking number. I have not yet received a call back. In addition, in the last 24 hours I can no longer get through to them using their toll free number because they have now for some reason set it up to go straight to a voice-mail box, which is full, therefore I am unable to leave a message there. How are any other Canadians supposed to get through to their customer service reps then? As a result, I called their their hub which is responsible for deliveries in Surrey BC directly (hub is in Burnaby, BC), left yet more messages (2) and still have not received a call back from them either. I then emailed them through their complaint form on their website. No response from them through email either.

This company is a sham and staffed by completely incompetent pathological liars. Unfortunately, I had no choice in the matter of using them as a courier as the company who is sending my package chooses to use these idiots.

Oh, and in addition, I had a tracking number from day 1, which DHL confirmed. If I had been scammed, as you ridiculously claim, how is it that DHL could track it from Singapore, Hong Kong, to Alaska and to Ohio. Try reading the complaint before making stupid comments.

Right - is it not the DHL responsibility to get a package from point A to point B, and is it not right to get it there intact and safe, that is way a client uses a courier company (DHL) and most off the time the best that
is on the market because it is valuables that needs to be transported from point A to point B and so you use some one you can trust and you pay them for that to get you package safely and in tact to U. Am I right with this question, if I am then we understand each other.. ...Right second statement
If your goods dos not get to U in tact and save who’s responsibility is it
that surely not the clients, it is the courier company responsibility right because you paid them, and it is not a thump suck price it is a fix price right that the client accepts right in this case it is DHL, not the cheapest priced company on the market but there repetition and philosophy stand - we will be your courier responsibility you can trust us. Right right.
Now I want to get some tings clear.
DHL is one company, what goes for DHL in one country it goes the same in an other country so what I am saying is THE RULS ARE THE SAME(DHL) right. I order a Vinyl Cutting machine from China on the - Fri, November 26, 2010, 09:24 because I need to do something ells because I do not now How long I still have a job, so I went and loan the money for the machine And the courier cost. So I waited for delivery an wile I waited I got my clients ready to meet in the beginning of the new year (that cost more money) did my website design and activate the website ( that cost more money every month) now the unit comes and it is damaged and not in tack parts missing and that is how my Year ended for me I phone DHL claims department they gave me a complaints number the next day and ask me to send them photos so long they will get the process in place. In the mean time I send a mail to my supplier and get on to there head and told them I need answers. In the mean time I am waiting on answers from DHL but nothing not even To confirm every ting is in place and I wait and wait old year is gone new year is well on its way and waiting an still waiting and then I think to my self a BIGG Company like DHL close there doors over December not possible. On the date of 14/01/2011 I started with emails to Miss Kgomotso Molefe Who is suppose to do the claim se read my mails but did not
response to it at all until I started to phone theme and when I spoke to Miss Kgomotso Molefe Se told me she was on leaf and a other person with the name Miss Tshegofatso Dubula will contact me - and I have proof that on several occasions when she was supposedly be on leaf she did read the mails, and on the date of 24/01/2011 Miss Tshegofatso Dubula send me a mail with some new details and numbers. Now from that date to date I have to send a mail some times twice a day to try and get info. Now I been told she send a mail to Hong Kong she is waiting for response and then after a few days it is New Year in Hong Kong so what it seems to me now I have the same dilemma I hade here in South Africa over December they also close shop. Now all of a sudden I need to get hold of the shipper because the claim is from them and so on and so
on.

So your policy Have to say - You cant Trust us If your goods is not

DHL Express rip off

12-1-10 i had my sister ship a piece of marble from indonesia, she packaged it for international transport, (bubble wrap, foam and crate) DHL repackaged it with old cardboard only causing breakage. DHL refuses to refund my shipping costs, many times the cost of the item, saying i would have to make a claim in indonesia, knowing full well that there are no consumer protections there and i would have a snowball in hells chance of getting a claim processed there. DHL has the worst customer service i have ever encountered, in short they are a ripoff and ripoff the small customer/shipper. stay away from DHL !
