I bought some skin care cream for my mother from this company. They advertise FREE trial @ $6.95. I ordered it on my visa card and had it sent to Mom's house. Later I find that Dermitage has taken $69.95 from my credit card account for this FREE trial. Then they take $73.92 from my account 30 days later and $73.92 from my account again 30 days after that. There is nothing FREE about their FREE trial. They have taken money from my Credit Card account on 3 occasions without authorization. How can I get my money back from these thieves?

This product did not work and when I was charged over $98, I called and asked why when the advertisement said all I had to do was pay shipping. Not only was it not a free trial...it did not work. My skin is drier and flakier than ever! What a rip off. I believe the company is trying to get the money from consumers fraudulently. I am going to my credit card company and ask them if they can assist in getting my money returned. Who would pay that much for a cream that did not work? Even if it did, I would wonder about the cost!

I was on the Costco webite and a free trial offer popped up for Dermitage. Free trial with shipping of $3.95. It said nothing about returning the product or you would be charges $89.95. I just called the home office in California to get my money refunded and they would not until they received the product back. This is totally false advertising and I will be making a claim to the better business bureu today as well. I will let Costco know as well what this company is doing in hopes they will remove this product form their shelf! What a scam and not to metion a very unethical company!

False advertising should be against the law. I also ordered the FREE sample of Dermitage for the cost of postage. When I canceled any further orders of Dermitage, I was billed $89.95 for the FREE sample. The add is very misleading (for a less than effective product). Please don't make the same mistake I did!

I ordered the "FREE SAMPLE" and then I got billed for $89.95 on my credit card and placed into an "AUTOSHIP" program where they want to AUTOMATICALLY charge you $89.95 per month! In THIS economy? Yeah right! I called and canceled. Spoke with a woman named "Dee". She was very nice and offered me and autoship of $49.95 a month, but seriously - I let her know their marketing is very tricky. I let her know that if they were honest up front - I may consider it, but because they were so deceiving in their marketing, even if the product is good, I probably wouldn't use it again. You catch more flies with honey and Dermitage is VINEGAR in my book! DON'T ORDER THE FREE SAMPLE! IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE! BEWARE! IT'S A SCAM! Shame on you Dermitage!

I had the same problem. Some "Free Trial". I paid under $4.00 for mine. I was pleased with the product, but found the company ripping me off. I found them taking moeny from my account (over $80.00) and shipping me product I didn't want. I shipped it back thinking I'd be issued a refund. I'm still waiting. I found on their website that they don't process packages marked "return to sender". What kind of B.S is that?!

I just called [protected] and spoke with a guy named John and gave me different excuses and asked me to get in touch with the local post office regarding the product that I never received and charged me for it. I was charged twice! First, $5.95 for the trial product and then 106.20 that again, I did not receive. I finally asked my husband to talk to him because I was loosing my cool. He put him on hold for about 5 minutes and finally talked to him again then said that apparently the Post Office was not able to deliver their "PRODUCT" to me because of the wrong street address! HELLO! It wasn't delivered but I was charged anyway. Now, John said that I will receive an email stating that my money will be sent back to my account, that I gotta see then believe. One lesson to learn: DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO TO ANYONE ESPECIALLY YOUR CARD NUMBER! There are plenty of greedy, evil people out there! ERTM

I have filed complaints with the California Department of Consumer Affairs and the US Postal service. If anyone is interested in filing a class action lawsuit against this company, please say so here, and if there is enough interest, I will see if my attorney is interested in pursuing the matter. My attorney happens to be my brother, BTW, so I might have a bit of influence on his decision. The only way to stop these ripoff companies is to hit them where it hurts- - - - -in the checkbook!

This company commits fraud...and false advertising. I called within the 30 day period (after using the product for less than one week!). They said (1) it was only a 20 day trial from the date of order...so much for waiting to start using it;(2) that they did not have a record of my calling to cancel the order, (3) charged, without authority, 95.57 to my credit card. I said I would wait for the supervisor to take the call, and 'Brittany' disconnected the call. THIS COMPANY IS UNETHICAL ...putting it mildly!

I just checked my bank account online and saw that I was being billed an $89.95 charge that WAS UNAUTHORIZED by me. Do not email me, do not send me any products or anything else. However, I do want a refund because I did not authorize you to go into my bank account. I am very, very unhappy with this and I think the better business should be made aware of this!

Sincerely;

I tried the trial and it made my face break out so badly I had to see a dermatologist who said to stop using it (the product is fine for most people, I'm allergic to it). A month later I received another shipment and my credit card was $105.90. I called Dermitage and they just wouldn't accept the fact that I'm allergic to the product and cant' use it. It took several attempts to get them to STOP sending future packages and they will not refund the last one. "All sales are final" is what I was told even though I did not specifically ask for this "sale" following the trial? Is it legal to do this?

I just noticed the $89.00 charge on my checking account...the original free trial being $3.95. I'm with anyone else who wants to sue! Their phone # doesn't answer, not even a machine to leave a message. That alone is unethical to advertise a phone # that doesn't pick up. I'm Irate over this. Please any ideas on how to stop this?

I received my 14 day free trial(+$3.97) of Dermitage 2 days ago. I was taken by surprise that the bottles were full. I thought I would get a small sample of Dermitage. To know that I will owe you $89.95 for the remaning days after my 14 days are over is ridiculous. I am returning my 14 day free trial unopened. Do not charge the ($89.95) to my credit card for the remaining part ($89.95) you decided to add on. Your $89.95 part was something you forgot to mention. If this shows on my credit card statement, I will find a way to stop it

Elaine, email them at support@dermitage.com. This won't work but keep a copy. Then send a REGISTERED LETTER canceling your supposed "Account". Keep a copy. This is the address: 5200 Ontario Mills Parkway, Unit 400, Ontario, California 91764. Phone your credit card company to dispute the purchase and then cancel your credit card. This is what worked for me. Suddenly after months of calling and emails, the email came back acknowledging cancellation.
The, like I messaged you, file a legal complaint with the BBB and the California Department of Consumer affairs. Good luck.

they continue to rip people off with the charging of visa account. they are just a company that has manage to fool more people than the other companys. Their ingredients are just common stuff that can be found alot cheaper. Water, PEG–12 Glyceryl Distearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Caprylic Capric Triglyceride, Dimethicone, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Glycerin, Cyclomethicone, PEG–23 Glyceryl Distearate, Hyaluronic Acid, Camellia oleifera (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Camellia sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract, Vitis vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract, Laminaria digitata (Algae) Extract, Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Yeast) Extract, Glucosamine HCl, Urea, Cyclopentasiloxane, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, PEG–100 Stearate, Butylene Glycol, Acacia Senegal Gum, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, PEG–10 / 15 Crosspolymer, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, 1, 2–Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Tropolone. These ingredients are common in product that claim results that usually over priced and are ripping the consumer off.

Heck buy some tea, grape seeds, onion juice, potatoe, shell fish oil, some white tea, hyaluronic acid, glucosamine hcl, green tea and make a paste and put on you face for 20 minutes and then wash off with water. add some aloe later.

Remember if it is to good to be true it usually isnt true.

I called Dermitage to cancel the automatic renewal they put you on without your consent. I don't trust they will stop so I called my credit card company and told them of possible fraudulent charges. They transfered my account to a new card number so Dermitage is unable to charge me anymore no matter what. They now have an inactive account number. My account wasn't closed so my FICO score is unaffected, they just transfered everything to a new account number. Call your credit card company and tell them of the fraud alert.

They told me they would give me a "promotional discounted price" and not the $99.95. They withdrew the $99.95 charge twice which caused my account to overdraw and had $280.00 in overdraft fees. They've sent me emails to call them, but their phone is constantly busy. Have they refunded my overdraft fees? NO!

I too had my skin damaged by this product AND was charged $89.95! There are terms to this so called FREE TRIAL, apparantly they send you an email with this information. This email was found in my junk mail after searching for it. FYI - when you cancel and return this product you only receive half of what you paid for it. This company and product is a total sham. It verges on illiegal what they are choosing to do - they need to be stopped!

I called the 1800 number to cancel my account and was told that I would receive an E mail in two minutes. It has been two days later and hasn’t received the E MAIL. Back on the phone for the third time trying to get a number that must be placed on the out side of the returned product. Today again I emphasized the importance of my credit card not being charged for product I have tried desperately to return. To me it is unethical, untrustworthy, self serving and underhanded merchandising company I have ever crossed paths with. of dealing with companies and I encourage anyone who is planning on ordering any of their products to never give them your credit card and just go to the local department store. You will save yourself not only a lot of money but frustration. It is my opinion if companies would be honest with the customer up front on advertizing, the sales of their products would grow. The add for a free sample just pay shipping and handling has cost me dearly. God bless

I used this product for about a week... just had to much water in it for my skin dried my skin out. I called the 1.800.886.8805 number with no answer, so I tried on line. They had the same number I called it again with to my surprise a person answered. I told him I would like to return this product and why. They are sending me info via email to return the product so hopefully my credit card will not be charged. I will be watching it carefully!

I have ordered products from Dermitage for my mother and sister in law and they work wonderfully. The way the free trail works is it is exactly that...a free TRAIL. The trail is a 14 day trial. this means if u are unhappy with the way its working, you have to call CS before your trail date ends to get a number to send it back. Another thing to hint to all of you out there, it would be smart to read Terms and Conditions closely before signing up for anything, online or by phone. It has all the info in fine print and will NOT stand up in court...trust me, im an attorney.

I wasn't scammed by this company, but by another last year. My efforts successfully got that scamming company shut down. Here is what works:

File complaints with:
Office of the Attorney General of California - http://ag.ca.gov/consumers/general.php
The California Department of Consumer Affairs - http://www.dca.ca.gov/consumer/complaints.shtml

Call your credit card company and tell them not to honor any more charges from Dermitage. You can also cancel your card and get another (new number - no new charges).

Send emails to the following articulating your situation and don't stop until you get relief. Tell syndero employees that you have contacted the State AG and CA Department of Consumer Affairs.

This is a total marketing scam. Any reputable company would not "trick" their customers by putting additional charges in the fine print. You should be ashamed Dermitage. I cant imagine a marketing dept coming up with this scheme. Just shows you the lengths that some poor companies will go to make a dollar. Repeat business is not in their plan.
