DepositPhotos Video subscription

Fraudsters! Never again would I recommend your image bank site! I pay for a subscription and you steal half of the videos that are due to me without warning me! It's outrageous to do that!

DepositPhotos be careful

If someone doesn't know, I am here to warn you.
So the problem is that when you try their free trial, they won't notify you that this needs to be renewed, they do it by themselves and charge you. They don't ask for your permission, they just need nothing to get your money, that's all.
So if you don't want to give them your hard-earned dollars, you have to cancel the subscription manually, that's the only way. Though some people say it's not easy to do. Well, at least it's better than letting them steal your money.

DepositPhotos Auto renewal scam

I was a member in the past and was not planning to use DepositPhotos in the future. My subscription ended and I went to another website. But then I noticed a charge and found out that DepositPhotos automatically renewed my subscription! I immediately contacted customer service and told them everything I was thinking and demanded my money back. They sent me a link with their policy and said that they don't do refunds! Well, in first place they had no rights to take my money without my permission! It is not legal and in my opinion they just robbed me! I have no idea how to get my money back but I will not give up that easily! Stay far away from this scam company!

DepositPhotos Depositphotos have rooked me out of $483

Depositphotos have charged my card for 7 months $483 without my knowledge and for a service which I did not use.
It was not made clear to me when I signed up that I was actually going to be paying a monthly subscription. There is also no obvious "cancel" button. When I signed up to depositphotos, I thought I was purchasing access for a month. There is nothing written anywhere on the website that says you are purchasing a monthly subscription, only that you get access for x number of dollars to Y number of images, per day for a month. After the first month, I did not use this service as I thought it had expired.
If you look on the website in the account area, there is no simple way to cancel your subscription. There is no button to click on saying "cancel". Now, when I emailed for a refund and asking to cancel my subscription, then the customer service representative told me that I had to actually click on a green circle and this was not a labelled button, it would like a regular shape to anyone and those ### have rooked me out of $483, took my money and now refuse to refund it.

If I had been downloading images, I can understand not getting a refund. If I actually used their service, I can understand not getting a refund. But I did not use anything from them, nor did they take any expense because of me.

DepositPhotos Skrill subscription not working

Hi,

On May 7, I signed up for an account, selected Monthly subscription and paid 99 USD with Skrill.
It said "You have paid 0 USD with Skrill" and I still couldn't download anything, no plan activated.

I called the tech support and they said that they were sorry and it was a Skrill issue.
Then they advised me to pay with PayPal instead. This time, it worked and on May 8 I paid 99 USD upfront with 99 scheduled recurring for next months. Then everything worked fine and I could download images 10 per day as expected.

I was surprised to get an email on May 30 from SKRILL reminding me that on June 6, I would be billed 99 USD. So now I am paying with PayPal and they would still bill me for the same service again using Skrill! I now must hope that the Skrill customer service will respond in time and cancel the recurring payment.

Stay away from these guys until they resolve this technical issue with Skrill. Or was it not a technical issue at all? Reading other complaints here, I am starting to feel a bit suspicious.

Do NOT give your billing info to this company. They will continue to charge you even after canceling the free trial. My first invoice was even double billed $59 x 2.

DepositPhotos They will charge you every month without your knowledge

It was not made clear to me when I signed up that I was actually going to be paying a monthly subscription EVERY MONTH. There is also no obvious "cancel" button.
When I signed up to Depositphotos, I thought I was purchasing access for ONE MONTH. There is nothing written anywhere on the website subscribing page, on receipt and they will not send you any notification that says you are purchasing a subscription that will be renew every month, only that you get access for x number of dollars to Y number of images, per day for A MONTH.
After the first month, I did not use this service as I thought it had expired. They have charged me for 7 months for a service I did not use, $483 total. If you look on the website in the account area, there is no simple way to cancel your subscription.
There is no button to click on saying "cancel". Now, when I emailed asking to cancel my subscription, then the customer service representative told me that I had to actually click on a green circle and this was not a labelled button, it would like a regular shape to anyone.

I tried to contact them for refund but they refused to give my money back and I asked BBB for help.

DepositPhotos Depositphotos is an online scam

On 1st April I have received an email with a 15% discount promo code" from depositphotos.com"

I have signed up and subscribed for 100 images per day which they charged me $560.15 using skrill payment method.
Invoice No. '- S-1340921
Note: I have everything screen-shots, invoice, payment info and all emails

After 3 days they blocked my account for no reason, without even sending me a notice or warning. I tried to contact them but no one answered my call I contact their live support, the only message I got from them was "Please, write to [protected]@depositphotos.com"

All emails and phone calls to seek an explanation have been ignored. And any attempt to highlight complaints on their Facebook page leads to an immediate ban.

Before filing a complaint against Depositphotos, I tried to contact but unfortunately they ignored me and the only message I got form them was "Your account has been detected as a participant of fraudulent activities."
They refused provide me any explanation and refused to refund my money forcing me to contact BBB for help, and once I filed complaint they sent me a full refund. Thanks to BBB.org for helping me

I am not the first and only person who was going to lose money, Depositphotos charged thousands of people ($59) for their so called "Free Trial Subscription" not only one time but continued to charge them every week for a Free Subscription and lots of people never complaint about it. By the way who starts a lawsuit for $59.

And It's been almost a month since I filed a complaint with BBB and still no word from Depositphotos.

DepositPhotos Total Fraud

I was charged a monthly subscription fee three months in a row without any notification or my agreement.

In January I signed up for Depositphotos monthly $69 subscription and after I had downloaded the photos I needed I stopped visiting the website.A few days ago I realized that they had charged me the same fee in February, March, and April! I contacted their customer service and I received an email that they cannot refund the money back to me but they can issue me a $69 credit that will not expire and I can use at a later date. Well, I don't need these credits, and it's only logical because I never requested the subscription to be renewed automatically. I never opted in and customers should be notified beforehand so they can react and stop it if they want to. I see this as a practice that's misleading and unfair to the customer and they need to correct it. I gave Depositphotos a chance to fix it before I report and review them but here we are.
Recommend anyone to stay away from Depositphotos, you will not regret!

DepositPhotos Charged me for nothing, please help

I have subscribed for their so called "free" offer where they stated I can try their service for free. Nevertheless, they still charged my credit card after 5 DAYS not 7 days and did it automatically without any notice or emailing me

I could understand that they could have probably set some rules there in the middle of their agreement in such a small imprint stating they will automatically charge credit card after the free offer as I am not that good in English to understand that.
What I could not understand is that they could clearly see that I was NOT using their service after the free trial and I told them I was not aware of the charge or that I will be charged at all but still they refused to credit my card.

It is misleading to offer a "FREE TRIAL" But still charge credit card without any notice and offer no way to reverse a charge.

DepositPhotos Terrible customer service and a horrible experience

I tried the company out and when I wanted to cancel my subscription. The subscription auto renewed a day early so I sent an email asking for them to cancel my subscription. After they sent me back bad directions on how to cancel it myself. I sent them another email asking them to just do it since it would take them 2 minutes compared to me trying to figure out the terrible directions they gave me in their last email. They responded with a screen shot of Pay Pal on how to do it myself instead of just canceling it. That screen shot turned out to be old and I had to send PayPal a request to cancel my subscription and look into this companies business practices. It's odd how some businesses will just take advantage of someone for a few bucks.
Avoid this company you'll be glad you did. Good Luck.

DepositPhotos Depositphotos is a Fraud!

Last month I purchased 150 credits pack, I have only used 12 of 150 credits but on Friday when I logged in into my account I found no credits available to my account.
I asked live support (Robin) for help and she said "There is nothing I can do for you, write to [protected]@depositphotos.com" only shows incompetence.
Honestly I will never ever suggest this to anyone to use Depositphotos as a Micro-Stock Photo Agency
They do not care about their customers and treat them like c***. Since then I have had no response. I have called them again. On the phone I got a very rude person who refused to help.
Needless to say, I am long past 2 business days and my issue is not resolved.
I did not receive my remaining credits. However, they sent me a new email of 20% discount to purchase a new credit pack.
Sounds, looks and smells like a scam and I will be contacting the authorities and ombudsman if I do not get access to my money very soon.

I have been using depositphotos for purchasing graphics and images for years.
It is only when we start to request friends to join depositphotos new affiliate program, then we smell something is fishy!
We have signed up for a new affiliate program and got a verification email
from Affiliate Manager Nadya. We invited friends it was all good.

(SCAM #1)
You can not withdraw your earning:
In the middle of several email exchange, when we requested how to convert credits to cash they started to say our business model is not acceptable. They blocked our account. We are like WTF?
Which part of the terms that say inviting friends is not acceptable?
http://depositphotos.com/terms-of-use.html(SCAM #2)

They send you email and invite you to join affiliate program and they will verify everthing and you are good to go, and after you made some money they will block you without any reason, after lots of phone call and emails you will receive this email from support.
Quote:Your account has been detected as a participant of fraudulent activities.
Unfortunately, we will now have to terminate our cooperation.

Note: Now, they are holding over USD 300+ in our account which we have not withdraw a single cent from them before since sign up!

And finally, And honestly I don't understand why one user needs 3 accounts at Depositphotos one account for selling, one for buying and another one for the affiliate system

(SCAM #3)
You guys should start using the new Depositphotos Affiliate.
I bet you already received email from depositphotos about it and soon are going to
have big problem when start to withdraw your fund or even given lot of excuses by them to make you unable to withdraw fund!

My advice is AVOID Depositphotos Affiliate at all cost!

I have had the following unauthorized charges and they just keep coming:
This charge to my card was correct…
3.2.12 $19.00
THE FOLLOWING ARE FRAUDULENT
03.05.12 $19.00
03.07.12 $19.00
03.11.12 $19.00

03.26.12 $76.00
I can't get a phone number to talk with anyone and online chat and email are bringing no help.
I liked the photos... but the customer service sucks.
How many other people does this happen to and when will someone put a stop to the so called "system error" as they put it.

I bought there 1-month subscription for 69$ (5 images per day) on January 30, 2014. It seemed like a good deal. I downloaded over 100 images eventually and was pretty satisfied with that. However, yesterday (7 March 2014) they charged another 69$ - I didn't want another subscription! I've already written to their customer support, but judging from the comments here - this in their normal practice and I won't get my money back. If so, this is the cheapest scam I've seen. I'll wait for a couple of day, and then if nothing happens - will have to reissue my card because of them and will spread the word about them on the net. This is unbelievable...

DepositPhotos Stay away from these scam artists

I deposited $100 into my account, added 200 photos to my lightbox only to discover their web site won't let you buy a lightbox like all other photo sites. One has to download each file one at a time. Tech support said that functionality, even through there are buttons on their site to do that, has never worked. Since I don't want to waste 3 hours manually downloading I asked for a refund. They declined saying credits are not refundable. I submitted a dispute with my bank. Stay away from these scam artists.

DepositPhotos No access to downloads

I had difficulties with this company a year earlier, but the issue was eventually resolved and I decided to give them one more chance, so I signed up for a monthly subscription of 5 image downloads per day per month. BIG MISTAKE! Every few days I have no access to my download allotment of images. If you don't download your allotted number of images, you lose them. When it happened once, I let it go, but it continues every few days. When they do give you extra credits to make up for the loss, they don't notify you so you don't know you have those credits until you check your invoices to find the credits that have since expired! And the payment issue submitted by another complainant is indeed an issue. It doesn't matter if you deselect the subscription with Paypal, DepositPhotos keeps taking funds anyway. The only way I could make it stop was to either let the credit card expire, or shut down use of that credit card with PayPal completely to keep DepositPhotos from taking funds. The idea that stopping a subscription is the subscriber's problem is ludicrous! I have other subscriptions through paypal and the companies bill one month at a time. There is always an option to renew automatically or manually, which is good business. DepositPhotos is still in business only because their subscribers have no way to stop them from stealing their money without a whole lot of grief and frustration. Rip-off IS their business model. Hey it worked for AOL and took involvement by the Federal Trade Commission to stop it. I'm not looking forward to the impending grief of stopping my subscription when it expires on January 20th. No doubt it will take a call to the fraud unit of my bank to get them to stop stealing money from me.

DepositPhotos Will not be volunteering any more money to them

They give a free trial subscription that I ended up not even using and they are REALLY quick on the billing and don't offer refunds. I thought I had the day to cancel but they had already billed by the time I woke up. The stock selection is ok I guess, but I'm just not a fan of any company that makes most of their money trying to hook people into accidentally buying $60 worth of images and refusing refunds. Will not be volunteering any more money to them.

They will even try to revive old subscriptions from a couple of years past if you try a new subscription with them! I purposely didn't use PayPal to prevent that from happening, but they tried anyway. Thank goodness my credit card date had expired and I hadn't yet updated it with Paypal. In the end, I had to remove that credit card completely to keep depositphotos.com from stealing money from me on old expired subscriptions. I also agree that their image catalog is nothing that other stock companies don't have as well. I'd rather pay twice the subscription cost and get a value equal to the monthly payment. I wonder if a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General in the state where they claim to operate will force them to come clean? Anyway, that's MY next stop!

DepositPhotos Trial Subscription

depositphotos.com has sly way of getting some money out of you. It all seems fine and dandy when you sign up for their 7 day free trial and are directed to login to your paypal account for a invoice with $0 billing on the foot of it. However, give it a week and they'll surely pull $59 out of your paypal account or even bank account.

This scam model is based off the free-trial 30 day campaigns usually featuring supplements and health products. It can be a nightmare as per friends experiences and I'm going to avoid it by literally cancelling my paypal account and opening a new one.
