I am having SEVERE problems trying to get reimbursement for clothing I had to purchase while in Paris, Bern and Lucerne Switzerland. I had travel insurance with Trip Mate. I have been dealing in a long drawn-out process since June 4, 2006. Delta Airlines left a container of luggage sitting on the tarmac, located it several hours after I arrived in Paris on June 5, 2006. Refused to advise WHEN I could expect to receive my luggage, finally on Wednesday June 7, Delta stated they were waiting for a flight that they could send the whole container without having to open it. I had been in the same clothing since the past Sunday, June 4. I had to have some clean clothing by Wednesday. It was cold in Paris, the first day of the trip, HAD to buy a coat the first day. I was with a tour group, the tour moved quickly and did not have time to wash clothes, get them dry before having to leave for another destination the following day.

Delta refuses to reimburse me, will not return e-mails and Trip Mate, the travel insurance company SAYS they will reimburse $100. I would like to know where they think you can buy even one outfit for $100 in Europe. When I called Trip Mate, after returning to the US, I advised them what clothing I had to purchase; they told me that the insurance would cover up to $500 in clothing and that I would be covered for the clothing that I purchased. So far, I have not received anything form Delta or Trip Mate. I thought it would be Delta Airlines place to reimburse me, since Delta knew where my luggage was, knew where I was and did nothing until it was convenient for them. If you can help me with this situation, I'll send ALL paperwork and complete information. It is ABSOLUTELY insane what I have been dealing with. Both companies apparently think, if they ignore me , I'll go away. I want to get this information to as many people as possible, so these companies can be exposed.
The information I have included is not complete, so if you can help, let me know.
How can these companies continue to operate and have no consequences?
It would be appreciated, if someone could help me get the full dollar amount reimbursed, either from Delta or from Trip Mate. Trip Mate insurance company is a liar and Delta Airlines could care less.

Thanks

Used Clearme.com 2 1/2 years ago. Did not authorize auto renewal. Charged an account $179.00 back in December of 2022. Just found that it was charged to an account that went overdrawn and closed out by bank and Account Abuse. Clearme.com is only willing to do a partial credit.

Hi, I am Dorrett Henry. On May 24, 2023 I travelled on Delta Airline 1639 from RDU to Atlanta and Atlanta to Kingston on Flight 1906 flight confirmation #GV9ZE5. My carryon baggage a 24 inches black Nine West valued at US$60.00 was checked on for free, rom North Carolina. On picking up my baggage in Kingston, I discovered that it was damaged.

Delta's sky miles card is totally worthless . Just tried to book a flight to Spain and return from Italy . The cost was 280,000 miles plus over $ 500 in pick your seat charges for two people. Its cheaper to get a card with cash back. and pay for a ticket on another airline.

An employee of yours Micah Wartell is online selling supposed standby seats. Please investigate and terminate this employee. This so called employee has ads all over Craigslist for said standby tickets to which I am also a victim.

How dare you overcharge hurricane victims trying to leave for safety. I just can't believe how little empathy you have and what you are willing to do to make a fast buck. No more delta for us!

Interesting because I have submitted 2 other comments and neither came through so the above was a test. BUYER BEWARE of TRIP MATE insurance. They are nothing but fraudulent and nothing was told to both of us about pre existing conditions...in fact Elm Grove Travel stated there were none.
I sent in all my paper work as did my friend and neither of us have gotten anything but negative responses. They contacted my doc on June 1st and my appt was with their time frame, but someone did not document it on my file, a way for them to loose information. I called them today and filed claims with BBB against both and was lied to by Rajna from TM twice and was told this call is recorded but you know they can erase anything they want to make themselves look good.
I had 9 spinal surgeries and am totally disabled but am I in w/c no!Does someone disabled need to be NO! I clean, cook, shop but have to do so within my limits when I can. My pain is totally unpredictable and with 3 falls in 3 weeks my back went out and also taking care of my kitty who was slowly shutting down and passed on May 9th...from all of that my back just gave out and has not been good since. They TM sent me another MD attending statement and said they did not have to fill it out per Rajna, then when I called back to tell her the letter she said would work was coming she said she never said that and she did, another lie. They have it down they called my docs office for my past appt but guess what my doc's offfice remembers the call and yet they have no record of it another way to cash in on a scam .This is the worst company I ever worked with but if there is a class action suit I will be joining and so will my friends.
I have complained to the BBB and if I have to sue them let them pay my attorney fees and my $165. You'd think a doctor's letter would be enough. Then they have you sign a release.Well guess what they can access anything they want when you sign it! If you sign it make sure you cross out anything that does not pertain to your medical history.
This company sucks.

I too purchased TripMate insurance thinking that if anything happens I will be covered. My mother got sick and was in intensive care on June 10th. I called the travel agent and cancelled my trip on June 12th thinking that my mother was going to need some care after she was released form the hospital.Well she passed away on June 14th. As if this was not devestating enough! I filled a claim with the insurance company. I sent in the information they requested from the Dr treating my mother, a copy of her obituary, the itemized statement from the furneral home, a copy of her death certificate, a copy of the PAID IN FULL $5300)receipt from the travel agent. What more could they ask for.I received some postcards for tripmate stating they are working on my claim. When I opened the letter I nearly passed out on the floor! They sent me $1000.00 for all 4 persons traveling. Don"t get me wrong I was not expecting my full $5300 refunded but come on. They said it was due to "travel supplier refund" what ever that means is why my refund was so low. I asked if I had the customary 1 year time frame to use the already paid for airline tickets no one could answer that. What was the purpose in getting this insurance if you don't get your money back? I am looking for a lawer to investigate this case. I think its time for a class action lawsuit! When you google TRIP MATE there are hundreds of pages of complaints on this terrible company. Can anyone give me some insights on how to handle this case?

I traveled to San Diego CA in July 8th 2007 on Delta Airlines. Delta lost my bags and after 2 and half months of waiting without any communication initiated by Delta I phoned customer care Department who had no information other than updating my home address every time I called they updated my home address stating that their computers showed my hotel address’s my current address this is Idiot. Delta should pride themselves with avoidance of customer care and as far as the claims department using an answering machine what BS is that. I have left my information numerous times to no avail. Since I filed my claim form I contacted delta baggage claims on 3 separate occasions and they tell me we do not know you will have to call and leave a message to find out your claims status. I have never in my life had a worse experience with a business. I am the business operations manager and I will not allow nor approve any of our employees to travel Delta Airlines, as long as I hold this position within our company. I have the power to have an impact, on average we spend between 1 million to 1.3 million on travel for our 7,100 employees. I am waiting to receive a call asking why were not using Delta for our travel needs. People things will change I will keep you posted. I will explain this situation and provide the details as Im sure they have none. In my business opinion if customer care is this bad fix it if their overworked quit losing bags or have not adjusted nor settled any of the lost luggage clothing or my hotel bill for the extra night I had to stay in San Diego

My trip was in June 2006 and the travel agent company loaded my bags on the bus to take me back to the airport. Before they would let us off the bus, they unloaded our bags and put the on the curb and the Punta Cana Porters Grabbed the bags like they were goal and our two carry on bags were gold. Full of electronic's to carry them on the plane so nothing happens to them. Well, you guessed it, we got off the bus, three different porters had our four bags of clothes but we had no carry-on bags that they loaded at the resort. They called the resort, they looked around but we had to get on our plane to return home so we lost MP3 players, laptop, and other electronics.

But I purchased TRIPMATE.COM insurance and filed the claim in June. We had everything documented, we provided them with original receipts, an itemized list of over 5,000.00 in items in the bags, replacement cost prices, and all the addresses and information to verify any price or item. Everything was documented, verified, and sent promptly!

Well it is now Almost Nov. 2006 and we have received nothing. I have called at least 20 times and they keep asking for more and more things. I provided them with information a 2nd and 3rd time. The quickest I got through their phones were 5 minutes, mostly I just give up and fax a letter. I get these post cards once and a while stated they are evaluating the claim. I asked for a manager to call me three different times but still nothing. I asked for my claim rep and was told they all work them out of one computer "Q" so there is no adjuster. Everyone works the same claims because if works best for them. What about their customers? It doesn't work good for us! I paid 400.00 for travel insurance and have rec'd nothing and no service.

I have been in the insurance business for 21 yrs and find this service the worse I have ever seen. If anyone that worked in my claims department ever provided this type of service, they would be looking for other job opportunities, Probably at TRIPMATE!

Buyer Beware! You might by this insurance and someday, they might even cover something...but they get an "F" for service!
