Dead Sea Cosmetics Kiosk Sales

I WAS TOLD IF WE BOUGHT A CERTAIN NUMBER OF PRODUCTS, WE WOULD RECEIVE THIS SPECIAL BOTTLE OF FACIAL CREAM WORTH $100.00 FOR FREE. THE SAME EXACT PRODUCTS ARE AVAILABLE ON ONLINE AT A FRACTION OF THE COST THAT THEY ARE SELLLING THEM FOR AT THE KIOSIK. SMOOTH TALKING SALEMANST OF SAW SUCKER ON OUR FORHEADS. VERY FRUSTRATING TO BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF.

Dead Sea Cosmetics Severe skin reaction

I purchased 6 cosmetic items from Eyal at the Bay Shore Mall on 11/13/11 & 11/14/11. All were from the Dead Sea line of cosmetics, eye & face serums & creams. After using these products according to the directions, I had severe allergic reaction to all of the products on 11/17/11 & was rushed to my doctors office, in which I was given a one week prescription to take care of the allergic reaction. I was told by my doctor to discontinue all products. The receipts state no refunds, but I can not put any of these creams or serums on my face. My total spent was $1894.06 which was put on my credit card. I would like to be refunded this amount, as I will charge back this amount on my credit card for what I had to go through. I lost time at work for needing to see a doctor & pain & suffering for the treatment that was unnecessary. Please help. in this matter. I do have all my receipts, if you need me to send them to you. Thank you in advance.

Dead Sea Cosmetics Sales practice / variable pricing

Premier Dead Sea products has been the subject of numerous complaints in shopping malls, due to aggressive sales practices, "hawking" customers (which is illegal in most malls), and not having fixed prices. It's more of whatever the salesperson can charge you, so customers have complained of having their credit cards run for hundreds of dollars without expecting that steep of a cost.

They have recently changed names on some of their kiosks to "Beauty By Nature, " due to the poor publicity and negative image being generated for Dead Sea cosmetics. In a mall recently, I was approached by a flirtatious individual who wanted me to purchase two small jars of creme totalling $400. I was stunned. When I said I couldn't afford it, she took me over to her register and posted a "take it or leave it" today-only price of $80, still vastly too much.

Be wary.

Dead Sea Cosmetics Fraud

Based on the description of fraud in Indiana, this company is committing fraud. I paid double what I could have paid ordering the exact same products on the internet. I am always skeptical about everythng but these two salesladies just reeled me right in. Fraud in Indiana can be paying much more for a product that you can purchase for much less somewhere else.
I am going back to the kiosk and try to get my money back. I am going to contact the BBB, the Castleton Square Mall management and any other entities that have the power to help me get my money back and get these scheming Israelis out of our state.
I can't believe I fell for this. Maybe I should not be calling them sales "ladies". They really put the pressures on and take advantage of your vanity. And I thought I was intelligent. It was stupid, stupid, stupid of me to fall for this and I aim to get even with them!

This company Dead Sea Cosmetics out of Bolton Ontario is gigantic rip-off. They charged my credit card for the trial $4.95 then charged it a few later for $149.95 when they said I had received another product. Never sent any. Now I have been battling them for my money for illegally charging my credit card for something that I never ordered to start of with... DON'T EVEN BOTHER WITH THAT COMPANY!

I encountered the same thing in Lafayette. I looked the company up on-line and found I could buy the products for a lot less money. After the experience at the mall in Lafayette, I don't want the products. There are a LOT of beauty products out there, and the most expensive isn't always the best.

My experience was similar. Horrible way to do business. High pressure sales is putting it lightly. You can't get away from them no matter how many times i said no. At one point i thought he saleslady would follow me through the mall. It really makes me not want to go to that wing of the mall. Malls should ban them and make them open up their own private locations. Makes shopping very unpleasant.

Dead Sea Cosmetics had a reaction

I was on my way out of the mall when I was approached by a young man ( he was from Israel & asked if I had ever been to Israel: I fell for the bait) who asked if I would like to have smooth hands as he had the perfect product. I was hesitant but let him place sea salts on my hands & poured water on it. My hands felt real soft & smooth & then applied hand cream.
I advised that I could smell a fragrance & he stated he had unscented hand lotion & applied it. I told him I could still smell a fragrance & he stated it was just natural oils. I was talked into the purchase of the products as he was very aggressive.
It was late, was tired & he cut the price in half & I took the bait. I kept telling him I was allergic to fragrance & he stated I could return the products for full refund if I was unhappy. Well, long story short, I woke up the next day with a sore throat due to the use of salts, lotion, & cuticle oil.
I looked @ the receipt that stated: NO REFUNDS, JUST EXCHANGES. I felt like a fool as I had just blown about $100 & I did not want any exchanges due to the fragrance in the products.
I googled complaints against Dead See Cosmetics & saw that some of the complainants had called the mall management & got refunds. I called North Star Mall, spoke with a mgmt representative & she spoke with the leaser of the company & BINGO: I got my refund. So please if you are dissatisfied with any product purchased at a Mall, contact the Management & they will work with you as they want your repeat business with the honest merchants. I was informed there had been lots of complaints against "Secret Spa" ( receipts state: Dead Sea Cosmetics) as that is what their sign says & refunds can be obtained. The manager of Dead Sea wanted me to go just before closing time & I said no way; I went early evening as I guess he did not want any potential customers to see I was getting a refund. Just remember, any legitimate company will refund your money if there is a problem; don't give up as we all work hard for our money.

I am a sixteen year old who was lured into this product by the seller's aggressiveness and flirtatiousness. My friends and I had already felt the fake enthusiastic vibe from him the first few seconds he grabbed us in. I am extremely dissatisfied in myself for purchasing a set of the Dead Sea Spa kit. Not to mention, my friends and I had to pitch in money just to buy ONE. It didn't matter to the seller if we couldn't share it equally throughout the school year. As long as he sold something, he would continue to hold his ego up high. The man did everything he could to buy us out-- waving to us vigorously from afar to distract us from a puddle that was ahead, and then "saving" our butts in order to get our appreciation-- then our money. Feeling as though I had to repay him back, I gave him the attention he wanted in seeing his products, but had in mind that I did not want to purchase anything. However, after buffing my friend's hand as an example, he wouldn't stop being "kind" to us and kept on talking and talking. He was also very discriminating, telling us that it was not made in China (we were Chinese, too, and felt a great offense). What bothered me the most was that he kept touching my friend inappropriately on her shoulder and her hand, danced with her, and then suddenly insults her for having acne! All of us were really irritated, and started to leave. After every attempt to walk away, even saying that we would return with more money, however, he would lower the price, followed by more aggressiveness and lies. "Fine, if you guys leave and come back, my special deal for you guys will be gone and you would have to pay the regular price. So what do you want to do?" We finally bought it at $30, and already we started to complain after walking away...

I returned to the mall to "exchange" their product for my money. They must all go through the same sales training because I was told some of the same things that the other ladies complained about. I was told he couldn't refund my money without permission. I waited for a couple of minutes while he tried to reach the owner. He asked me to call the toll free number listed on the receipt, which I did. That number is to a supplier in Miami and the service agent couldn't help me. She looked up the mall name and stated that they did not have my mall on their list, therefore, they don't supply product to this seller. I filed a complaint with the mall manager and was told that a telephone call would be placed to the owner that same day. I left the mall and went about my business. I received a call about 1 hour later and after a back and forth conversation in which I declined keeping any of the product, I was told I would get my money back. They refused to credit my card, but agreed to give me a check. I met the CEO (according to the business card he presented) at the mall Customer Service Desk. He checked out all the product to make sure I didn't use any of it and presented me with a check for the full amount I had paid. Went to the local BofA - the check was good and I applied it to my credit card as they had already made payment.
I had a good outcome, but don't every want to go through this again. The CEO also tried to talk me into keeping some of the product. :)

My husband was suckered by these people into buying this stuff. He was having a bad day and they must have latched on to that.

The products are nothing I'd ever use and so I looked at the receipt - no refunds, exchange only. There should not be any reason to allow this kind of policy for this type of product. I've encountered these people in the mall before and they are extremely pushy, often refusing to let go of your hand. They need to be stopped.

I'm in the same boat. I bought product that I didn't want and after I got home I realized that I had product that worked the same way and didn't cost as much. So I pull out my receipts and see in small print "no refunds exchange only." Now I'm upset. I haven't used any of the product and my 80 year old mom says she doesn't have time for all that. Wish she had said that in the mall. Not sure what I'm going to do.

The finger he "polished" hurts like heck and looks damaged. Yeah - I surely did overpay for stuff. My bad! Think I'll call my credit card company and see if they can help. Then I'll call the mall management. Maybe even call the company in Miami. I'll do what I can and let everyone know.

I totally agree with you. I went through the same experience, and then some. The Israli guy buffed my finger nail which came out shiny, but then it was totally hard sell for the rest of the products. It was strange because he wasn't aggressive while making the sale, just extremely adept at answering your concerns WITH LIES. I specifically asked if I can return the products if I change my mind, he said "yes, no problem!" It was late at night and the mall actually closed while he was still working on me. He sort of had me pinned in the chair showing me all the wonderful effects on my face. At the same time, he asked things about me and used those things as sort of ways to say I need the products, talked about skin cancer, melasma, not taking care of myself, said I was hurting myself by using Aveno products from Walmart, etc. The mall was closed and dark, and he was putting stuff on my face "demostrating" application to his assistant who was being trained. He cajoled me in to buying over $1000 worth of products. He had taken my credit card and started throwing in a bunch of "free products", and said "come on, buy one more bottle. to make it an even thousand." I felt very strange and now I realize intimidated. He insinuated that he had stayed late for me, etc.

I am an intelligent woman, have traveled around the world and have an advanced degree. I have never experienced this level of dishonest persuasion anywhere including in street markets in third world countries. I assumed the things he was telling me were true because it was in a high end mall in La Jolla, CA. I said I'd like to wait to think about it, he gave me stories about how nobody else could give me discounts, that he was returning to Israel, etc. I could not get away from the booth.

On the way home I realized I did NOT even want any of the products. Except maybe the nail buffer which you can get at a beauty supply for about $2. I got home and got on the internet to find they had charged anywhere from 150% to 500% over other retailers for the same products. I actually totalled up the cost of ALL of the products (even the 'free gifts' based on other retailers such as Amazon, and the total was still hundreds of dollars cheaper. Then I read the reviews on the products and realized the product is not what they represented. They do not even contain most of the ingredients he mentioned, and do not produced any results except for the shiny nails from the buffer. I got my receipt ready to return in the morning, and saw on the bottom "NO REFUNDS, EXCHANGES ONLY" I was completely sick. Then I found the stories of the hard sales and lies.

In the morning I called the mall's management office. The concierge spoke to the mall manager. The mall manager spoke to the salesman who said I could return the product, just bring my receipt. I was so grateful to the manager/conceirge, and went to return. I got to the mall, and the salesman pretended to be surprised to see me. I told him I wanted to return everything. This is where it got very bad. He became aggressive and insulting, commenting on my boyfriend (who was not there), telling me it's not his fault I could not afford the product, then said if I could afford it then what's the problem, changed his story on returns. He was manipulative, aggressive, demeaning. I am a 45 year old woman and started crying in the mall. Then he's laughing a gesturing, saying "fine call the mall manager, I already talked to him, call your lawyer, make a scene". While I walking away to go get the manager, he said "I could return your money if you weren't so difficult." He just wanted to keep selling me, told me he could give me $400 back because I had wasted his time and he needed to be paid.

I went to get the mall manager, told him what happened (still crying), he said "don't, worry, he told me you could get your money back." We walked back up there, and the manager got the same treatment as I did. The manager said "Yonni, you lied to me, you said you'd give her money back". The salesman accused me of screaming at him in the mall. At that point, the manager got tough. He told him "there is no way this woman did that to you. You are being very aggressive and confrontational to me, and I run this mall. You need to return this woman's money, or face being thrown out of the mall along with your business. You cannot treat customers like this." The salesman said "you think you're over me, in charge of me?" At that point the manager asked for the kiosk owner's phone number. The salesman backed down a bit, or I should say switched tactics. He said "you can try to call him but his religious shabbat forbids him to answer the phone", and more stuff like that. The manager said "you are operating in the United States, and must obey the law. I don't care if it is a religious holiday, you must conduct business according to the law.

At that point, the manager pretty much ignored the salesman and called the owner a few feet away. The salesman said to me in my face quietly "If you didn't behaved this way, I could return your money LIKE THIS" and snapped his fingers in my face. I'm completely intimidated, afraid, and crying by now. The manager pulled me aside and said "this will be taken care of, you will get your money back; maybe not today but by Monday." The salesman said he'd try to call his 'other boss' who might call back. Then he said one of the bosses would authorized the return, and I could return to the mall and get my money back, but the product was now useless. I had not even taken the crap out of the bags.

The manager gave me his phone number, and the salesman's. He walked me to my car carrying the bags of crap. He said wait until Monday, try to relax and enjoy the weekend. He would not be working on Monday, but I could still call him. I'm terrified of what is going to happen on Monday. I'm afraid I'm going to go back to the mall and go through the same verbal barrage all over again. I cannot believe that I am AFRAID of these people, but I am.

The name of the company right now is DEAD SEA SPA, selling SEACRET and SWISA products. The concierge had mentioned on the phone that they had other complaints about the kiosk retailer at both of their malls, and that she had almost bought products as well.

I was amazed at the professionalism of the concierge, mall manager, and mall security. I just hope they will follow through with me to get this resolved. The manager apologized which was very kind of him, and my girlfriends and I go to this mall every Friday.

This was the worst shopping experience I have ever had in my life. This was worse than getting felt up by a street merchant in Morocco in the back of his shop. Sorry, that sounds awful, but that is how I was made to feel. I didn't included even 1/4 of the things the salesman said to me, all bullpoop.

I cannot believe this is even happening in America.

Dead Sea Cosmetics Terrible experience

I went to the Tuttle Crossing Mall to have my watchband repaired. On the way out to my car, I was stopped by a woman who insisted she let me try her cosmetics on my hand, after which she put some products in a bag and asked me how I wanted to pay.

I wasn't at the mall to pick up or look at cosmetics. I was ONLY there to get my watch fixed. The manner in which I was approached and treated borders on entrapment. When I explained that I wasn't interested in her products and that I was just there to get my watch fixed, she said I needed what she was offering and offered me an 'alleged deal'. Yea, deal for her.

She's got over $40 of my money. Nothings a deal if it's something you don't need or want, regardless of the price. To top it off, they have a 'no refund' policy that they never mentioned to me or had posted. Needless to say, I feel taken advantage of.

That company is illegal, all salespeople from abroad owners are confidential.
They take Thai workers and their record company.
The mall manager takes a bribe to not report the illegal workers.
Do not expect to get a refund on this shopping unlawful society.

I went to the mall to look for something and was stopped by a salesperson from this store. She gave me a sample and I accepted. She said she was going to give me another sample and led me into the store. Then she went through the same sales pitch others went through and there is no way to stop them from doing that when you have all the products and water being poured on your hands. Then she started to cut the price all the way down to $40. I told her I would think about it and she said, "uh, okay, you are weird. You should have said you didn't like the product from the beginning if you didn't like it." I told her that is not why I didn't want to buy it today. She turned her back in front of my face and didn't say anything so I walked out. As I was walking away, I distinctly her her say, "f***head." This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional and I can't believe that the owner has hired such a person to represent the store and the brand. I will not go to this mall if I can help it just because it has this store.

I am very made that still in 2015 we are having this issue. the same thing happened to me. They sold to me and found out it was a cheap product being sold online. . however, we have enough people to sign a petition and have them removed from every single mall, starting with Cary Towne Center. I am angry at this ripped off. Who will stand?

It would've been a great day. But i was unfortunate enough to run into one of those sales bullies with stupid dead sea cosmetics at University Mall in Orem, UT...
I always try to avoid anybody with samples or sales pitches simply because usually it's just a waste of time. But today it was something out of this world entirely: i said "no" and shook my head when the girl started to approach me; it looked like she got the hint and turned away, but when i was passing her by she complimented me on my make-up and asked what exfoliation product i used. I was simply trying to be polite and answered her question. I should've known better. After that it turned into a "sale assault". Questions, suggestions, demonstrations, discounts - all of it is just being shoved down your throat. When i said that i didn't plan on buying cosmetics today and had other plans, the girl shamed me about not taking care of my skin and asked something like "what other plans can you have". Too much talking for my not yet completely awake brain and my wallet is 40 + tax lighter. It's crazy how the person can be nice enough so you don't want to be rude or say no, yet still annoying, manipulating and somewhat insulting at the same time so your day is totally ruined. I just keep replying the whole thing in my head over and over and it's driving me nuts. And no refund thing is totally messed up.
Such aggressive manipulations will never get that company any loyal customers, i hope they'll go broke.

I decided to let one of these salespeople give me his best shot tonight. I knew I wouldn't buy anything. I did it for three reasons: I wanted to see why it is people might have a hard time saying no. I can see how they can be persuasive, especially in American malls where most people are not accustomed to bargaining when making a purchase. I also had some time to kill and had no interest in shopping and I find this sort of thing entertaining. Lastly, I figured I nigh be doing a good deed; if I let this con artist waste about a half hour pretending to care about the character I essentially became; acted interested, told tales of how I spend so much on facial products, made myself seem more vulnerable, let him pretend to flirt with my friend, if I wasted his time thinking he had the perfect bait, I may have protected his next victim from being approached. While she walked by, he was too busy with me. And then the announcement that the mall was now closed and everyone must vacate, he added more freebies and his prices dropped down to a generous $350! Desperate to make his last sale of the night. Sorry buddy. I can run a good con too, but for good, not greed. Oh, and I also had a horrible reaction to that crap.

At first I was approached by one of their sales person and asked me for a little time to try their products. I did
not have plan to buy because it’s quite expensive compared to other beauty
products but because of their persistent
selling tactics, I was convinced to do so. I was charged
P18, 100 on my credit cards, only to find out that I can buy the product to
other legitimate US online seller (www.amazon.com)
for as for as low as approximately discounted price of P3, 500. Apparently I
bought a very very overpriced product which charged me so much mark up on top of the original price. Although there may
be shipping cost that will be charged by other legit merchant, I think I wont
be charged that much. Aside from that, I was deceived that I was given a huge
discount that they showed me their pricelist indicated there that the original
price of the product is P39, 950. if I’m not mistaken. Also, we had an agreement that I will be
paying in 6 months installment for the whole amount. Right after all the
charges were swiped to my credit cards, they told me that it will be a one time
payment after 45 days from the date of purchase and found out that I
have been charged already without following the 45 days payment terms. Moreover, they did not automatically provide
the receipt after the transaction. I just went back to their kiosk to request for it.

I tried to return
the item to get the charges back but the manager did not allow it. I
told them that I will file a complaint in
case they will not provide the refund. With that the manager said that
they no
longer connected to LONDONSALES CORPORATION, which is reflected on the
current
invoice that was issued to me. That they
have been separated from the said company and the name of their company
now is ATEG with the customer service contact of info@ateg.
ph. I tried to searched it online and found out that it caters
Engineering and other
tools supplies and not beauty products. The website on their brochure
which is www.jericho.com.ph does not exist. On
their facebook page which is www. facebook.comjerichocosmetics.ph, it’s
indicated there that their customer service is customerservice@londonsales.ph
to which I sent my complaint but never responded.

I got hit yesterday at Sunrise Mall in Massapequa, NY. All I was trying to do was find the way out of the mall, which was through a Walmart. While trying to find it, a nice looking Russian girl asks "Can I talk to you for a second?" Vulnerable, especially with no traffic around me, and trying to find out where the exit is. I should have pretended to be on my cell phone.

So she starts talking to me about my skin. Do you know what this/that means? What kind of skin cleanser do you use at home, blah blah.

Long story short, yeah, got sucked in. $40 + tax I'll never get back. She was too nice that I'd feel bad for saying no.

I had the exact same experience! I was not at the mall to make a purchase. I had a limited amount of time for a "quick" return. I was way-laid! I did not want to buy the product as it was not in the budget. Further the sales girl was very pushy, I had such a miserable headache too. I finally asked if the price she was giving me was the best price she would offer. She gave me two-fer. Still I was not there to buy and have a huge case of buyer's remorse. Besides that I am not extremely impressed with the product. My hands are still dry, and the "shiny' nails only last a day.
