Days Inn days inn historic charleston, sc

I recently stayed at the Days Inn in downtown Historic Charleston, SC. The staff was extremely rude, confirmation of my reservation and parking was a nightmare at check-in, confirmed lies and pass the blame to third party booking, the room was dirty, used towels, tub and bathroom obviously not cleaned, mildew and old cigarette smoke, disgusting! The property manager was so extremely rude that I called the customer service line immediately from my gross dirty room at check-in to complain. I received no resolution. I called twice more and sent several emails over a two-week period with zero resolution. I then charged back the two night stay on my credit card, reported the entire incident to American Express Corporate Travel, and wrote as many bad reviews as possible for fellow travelers to avoid Days Inn and any Wyndham property at all costs. I expect no resolution as it is obvious this company cares nothing about customer service. Just look at the other reviews! Everyone had horrible experiences, all over the country. Never, ever ever again will I stay at a Days Inn or any Wyndham property. You shouldn't either! Don't do it! Disgusting! Dirty! Zero customer service! Avid avoid avoid!

Days Inn bad smoking smell room, cockroach in food, wrong price charged..

On July 4, 2017 late evening, I checked in for a non-smoking room for 380 yuan per night at Days Hotel & Suites in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China (add: No.1 Wenbi Rd, Tianning District, Changzhou, zip:213000, Tel: [protected]). One breakfast was included.

After arrival at room, it had bad smoking smell inside. It is a smoking room, which they did "non-smoking treatment" earlier.

On July 5th Morning, the front desk changed my room to a different non-smoking room #3222 with the same rate of 380 yuan and the same rate for additional room#3223 for my senior parents over 80 years old. If there is 2nd guest who needs breakfast from room#3223, it will be 50 yuan extra charge. Ms. Le helped with the registration.

While moving luggage on the hall way to the new room, there was a guest smoking in his room with the door open. Elevators had bad smoking smells later days too.

July 5th evening, A terrible thing happened at its Chinese food dinning room. There was a Cockroach in our ordered food. That dish was removed after. But the Deputy director of F&B: Fiona Xie was rude and she did not come to apologize. (Her Chinese name is : Xie, mu hua). The food charge is 228 yuan.

However, on the departure day of July 9th, I found that the room rate was increased from 380 to 450 yuan/ night on my bill. I disagreed with it. But Fiona Xie was very unprofessional and she ordered the front desk that I must pay that higher rate first, then I can depart. It was her powerful order. I was charged 3308 yuan in total from July 4 to 9. (2nd room was booked for 3 nights.) Fiona Xie said on 07/05/17 that one night would be free because my total booking was over 6 nights).

It’s Invoice # is [protected] dated 07/09/2017. Its inside series number: [protected]

Can you help this?

Regards,
Raymond Zong

Days Inn billing

I booked a room 7-12-17 on Days Inn Toledo, Ohio for 7-14 thru 7-16-17, to visit the Toledo Zoo. We arrive approximate 11:05p, during shift change. They had my reservation and gave me documents to sign after showing my ID, which she made a copy, and my credit card. As we proceeded to our rooms, in the car, we noticed that the 1st floor had patio sliding doors? We proceeded to our room that was on the first floor, and notice trash in hallway and the decor was horrible. We arrived at the room and noticed we had two different door key cards for #181 and #188. #181 was assigned, and once we entered the smell was gross. The security latch was gone, the sliding doors a complete turn off, the remote did not work, no trash can, dirty washcloth on floor. I returned to the front desk to find out why and to my surprise she states I booked two rooms. I assured her I only booked 1 double room on Days Inn Toledo website. She states the other was done through a reservation site. I advised her I never use those, I always book with the hotel directly. She states she would cancel the other room. Once we chose room #188, and returned the other key she then stated she was told I have 5 people in my room and asked how many, which agreed, she then states the most to a room is 3 people. I asked since when its a double bed. I told her I indicated the max of 5 but the website states 5 max to a room. She just said I don't know what to tell you. I asked for a room on 2nd floor she state completely booked, but could give me a king. It was getting late and my group was hungry. 2nd room not better, and housekeeping never showed to clean room had to get towels and toiletries from desk and the wi fi never worked. I have stayed at other Days Inn and never had this experience. Training is surely needed at this location. I would never recommend this location and I would never stay here again. I am requesting a refund of $164.26, for king room #179 that I was billed for.

Days Inn charged twice for hotel stay and caused my bank to go into the negative

I was charged twice for my hotel stay. I booked on Priceline for $180 but was added additional $139 at the time of checkout. I originally was told this was a deposit and that it would fall off but this is false. the unexpected charge put my account into the negitave as I budget very wisely in this economy. Read all reviews for this hotel before booking...they will rip you off.. I called to question the additional $140 charge from Ken (manager) and the woman at the front desk and was told that I should have looked at the sign on the front door claiming a deposit would be held in my account. She never once checked my account and assumed that she made no errors. I waited for this so called "deposit" to drop from my account for 11 days. When I called to follow up for the third time I was told that they didn't know why I was charged twice and that it had never happened before. I have no money in my account and haven't for the last 10 days bc of their mistake. Nothing is being done for me and I have to wait 7 more days for the refund to hit. Horrible customer service as they did not take responsibility for this mistake at all. This area has a ton of hotels around it so I would highly suggest NOT staying here. I chose this hotel bc I needed something cheap but it backfired as it emptied my bank account. I have no family in this state to borrow money from and was very put out by this not to mention that my car happen to break down. No one at the hotel cared that they created a gigantic problem for me and that I didn't even have enough money on my account to eat that day or for the last week. Stay away from Ken and from this Days Inn in Chattanooga off Hamilton place. Very, very upset that I am having to go through something that wasn't my fault and could have been handled so much better. I am a 30 year old widow and doing the best I can with my funds and budgeting my hotel stays. I have never been treated like such trash in my life. As a manager of customer service for 10 years I am highly dissatisfied with days inn and the poor management of this hotel. Ken did not care about double charging and tried to blame me several times while on the phone. He even laughed at one point at me. Please read previous reviews as this isn't the first time the hotel has treated a guest in this way and DOUBLE charged. Is this how days inn treats it's guests? Horrible and i will let all of my coworkers, friends and family know about this situation via social networking and word of mouth. I have screenshotted the reviews of other guests to warn them away bc this must happen often where Ken steals from guests.

Days Inn customer service

Its been over a month since i placed 2 complaints and i have yet to hear from anyone. Guess they dont care about their guest. Im a local here and i will never reccomend this place to anyone. They manager was rude and made sure i had to pay more for my stay. I will not be bullied into paying more than i was quoted. I moved to a different hotel and was treated like a queen. I know nobody will contact me regarding this. Not a happy guest.

Days Inn hotel room

Checking into this hotel got my key went to the room as soon as I opened the door room 228 there was a horrible smell open the door never even walked in... from the door way you could see the bed it was broke, one side up to the height it should be the other side on the floor... but yet the bed was made. so there was an employee in this room because they took the time to make the bed but did not do anything about the bed being broke, and the let me rent this room. I went right back to the desk and said NO I will not be staying here the girl at the desk was not surprised at all when I told her about the room all she said was O really ok I will cancel your room. This was on 6/27/2017... But of course got my credit card bill today No charge for the room on 6/27/17... but there is a charge for the room on 7/6/2017 I have called twice and the manager Dennis still has not called me back regarding these charges.

Days Inn the room was infested with bed bugs

My children and I could not sleep or enjoy my stay while there. And an still suffering two nights later. I have more then 80 bites on me and had to explain to my children's mothers why our children are suffering. I came and told the front desk of my issues and requested my money back. Even after I brought bed bugs to the office that I found in the bed I was only granted a 50% discount.

Days Inn money payback/ customer service

My name is Derek West and I stayed at the Iselin-Woodbridge hotel in New Jersey on July 7th. I had the reservation for the 7th and the 8th and checkout on the 9th. However, I only needed to stay the 7th and I checked out Saturday morning the 8th so I didnt use one of my 2 nights. The front desk said they would refund me my money for the day I wasnt there and to allow 3 business days. I call on wednesday because I had not been refunded they apologized and said please wait two more business days, I call back last night Sunday the 16th and the guy was very rude and cut me off mid sentence and said "my manager will be here 10am tomorrow call back then okay? okay, " and then hung up on me. Today Monday the 17th I call back at 10:44am still not received my refund and the guy says "I will tell my manager please allow another 48hours" It is going on 2 weeks now. And I feel like I am getting strung along and the guy working the desk sunday night was incredibly rude.

Days Inn banquet hall

Please send this to the right Dept. I am wanting to file a complaint on one of your Days Inn Hotel. It is Days Inn, Jane Lew West Virginia. We rented the Days Inn Banquet Hull for Saturday July 15th. This was for my Daughters Wedding Reception. We had around 170 People attending. While everyone was showing up around 5pm, the air conditioning was not working. It was so hot that after 30 minutes, around 70 of my family members who traveled over 2 hours to get there got up and left. This was due the heat. It was hotter than 80 degrees in the Banquet Hall. before we could even get the activities started, over half the people there had left due to the Heat. I spent $1, 000 to rent this Banquet Hall. It ruined my Daughters Wedding and I want my money back. On Friday the night before while decorating, we noticed how hot it was there. We were told by the staff that the air would be fixed by the next day. It was not. If I cant get this worked out, my next step will be to contact our Attorney Generals Office to see what they can do. This was in accessible to my family and I. Please let me know what you can do. Thanks

That's ok little girl, think what you want. What I read was that this customer was upset because they had no air for the wedding reception. Sounds to me like your mommy needs to wash your mouth out with soap. I have been through these reviews, read a lot of them, you respond to all the neg. one's. You stick up for a company that has nasty rooms. I don't want anything for free. I work hard for my money. When I stay in a motel because I am traveling 3000 miles I want to sleep in a clean bed. Not one that has bugs on it. You have completely turned me off when you responded to the death in the family review. Saying the family member committed suicide. IF you were an adult you would have responded like one. Maybe you need to stop hanging out in mommy's basement, playing on the computer and learn to be an adult, but I forgot, your a little girl. See? I can be as much as a [censored] bag as you are, Mr. Patel

Days Inn service/forced reimbursement/quality of room

Many issues. I checked in, recieved my room key. Went to my room & opened the door to an occupied room. Went to the front desk, informed them. I was told no one was in there. They then made me wait 45 minutes in the lobby. Offered me 3 kokanee beer, 2 nestle waters, 1 can of cocacola, all items not sold by hotel. So... Garbage from other guests and was told I would receive 10$ off my stay. I was not asked if that was okay, I was told what was okay. I instantly refused the drinks and informed the clerk I don't drink beer. He then forced the water and pop on me as I walked away. I left those items in the room as I left. The room I was assigned smelt of sweet and rotting garbage, the stove was out of order, smoke detector was ripped from the ceiling, bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The room was freezing cold and the heat would not work. The blanket provided was terrible and did nothing to help. I did not wish to talk with the front counter staff as they were unhelpful in all other aspects. There were many unsafe features of the room due to diy repairs from un licenced contractors. As I was checking out, staff members children were left unsupervised. I asked for compensation or something to make up for the issues and the fact I didn't get in to a room until after midnight. I was told they would give me the room at 110$ plus taxes. I was not given any choice to refuse or accept. As I had to leave for work promplty I had no time to decline the offer and I opted to email the location about my issues. I received a call from the front desk apologizing about the issue and they kept telling me that I should be grateful for the beverages and discount I received. Which I am not, the beverages came as an insult. Like I wouldn't know they came from previous guests and the lack of knowledge can be forgotten. I was told that front desk would call me back after he talked with his manager. An hour later I received an email telling me that the beverages and discount were more than enough compensation.

Days Inn hotel

I stayed at the Days Inn in Parachute, CO on June 17, 2017. We reserved a handicapped room and was assigned room 307. Upon entering the room we immediately smelled a rotten odor. after trying to sleep on the bed that night, I could not walk the next morning. Visual inspection of the bed showed the four corners of the bed curling up approximately four inches or more higher than the middle of the bed. My wife went to the front desk complaining about the room and requested a refund for the second night at 10:30 in the morning. They told us expedia.com had to grant the refund. Expedia agreed to the refund but the hotel then blocked it. My wife told them she may have to take me to the hospital because of the broken down bed. They did not care.I am on 100% disability with Social Security from a back injury
Breakfast was a horror show. There were no eggs, no meat, no fruit, no pastries, no half and half. There old, hard biscuits and gravy an cheap bread. Oatmeal and milk was gone. There was no yogurt either. The only dry cereal was Frosted Flakes and Fruit Loops.
I wrote hotel management and Windham to complain after retuning home. All I received was a form memo with my name typed in with another font. The memo was as pathetic as my stay at their hotel.
After researching expedia.com about this hotel, I found many, many horrible reviews of this hotel. Apparently all of them received and referenced the same memo I had received. The complaints on the reviews cited the same complaints I had and more. Complaints were bad smells, broken down beds, bed bugs, stained sheets, green algae in the pool and hot ub, tainted water, tainted food, horrible breakfast, and management that did not care about their customers.
Stay away from this hotel, especially room 307!. Please forward these complaints to state agencies and appropriate regulators.

Days Inn $100 room key deposit/not returned

I recently stayed at the days inn in duarte, ca for 15 days. My debit card was charged for the room and they also charged $100 for a room key deposit at check-in which I was told after the fact and received a seperate receipt. I was told the $100 would go back on my debit card upon the return of room key at check out. During my stay I never received any discounts after signing up for wyndham rewards and paid full price the entire stay.
I kept my room clean & spotless, changed my own bedding, etc., had my own towels and pillows. I became familiar with the day manager monika patel and even bought her lunch from dickies bbq during my stay.
Upon check out I told ms. Patel I changed bedding and cleaned the room if she wanted to go check and see before leaving.
I returned the room key card and was told the $100 deposit would automatically go back on my debit card. I did not think much about it and had no reason to think the money would not be returned until I received my checking statement and noticed the $100 refund did not appear and no reason it should not have been.
Upon contacting the manager I was told they kept the deposit because the shower chair was missing along with a pillow and pillow case. Seriously.
I stated my room never had a shower chair to begin with and they better check their surveillance cameras because I am sure you would notice someone taking a shower chair of all things. I made it quite clear I did not steal a damn thing nor had I ever been accused of stealing.
I asked the manager to please refund the $100 room-key deposit to no avail. The days inn has surveillance and I was in room #102 the entire time which was a few doors down from the office, the parking is in plain view.
I did not steal a pillow/pillow case or shower chair and want my $100 room-key refunded. This is the only hotel who charges a $100 room-key deposit.

Days Inn reservations and staff

My children and I decided to take a last-minute trip to Mountain View, Arkansas. I mistakingly booked a reservation online for Mountain Home, AR instead of Mountain View, AR. When I got to Mt. View about three hours later, I didn't have a reservation, of course. I realized my mistake and called Mt. Home and spoke with Sheila. She told me that she " would love to give me the refund, but I would have to call where I booked online. I did, and they asked for the name of the person with whom I spoke. I couldn't remember, so I called them back and got the name. When I called the online booking place back, I gave him the name and then he put me on hold and called the hotel to verify. When he came back after about 20 minutes, he told me they would only refund the second night's stay. I asked to talk to someone else. He kept telling me that he couldn't do anything without the hotel's approval and that he still had them on hold. I asked if he could get the name of the regional manager or something, and he said he would. When he came back the 2nd time, he just gave me the number of the hotel. I called and spoke with Sheila again. She told me I would have to call Priceline. I explained that they couldn't do anything without approval from them. She kept telling me that they only refunded the first night. I explained again that they had to have approval from the hotel for the first night. She said that she had a fax from Priceline for the 2nd night's refund, but it didn't say anything about the 1st night. I explained yet again that they would have to have her approval first. I asked to speak to a manager. She said something to him, and I could hear his response of, "Tell her..." but nothing else. She again told me I would. We'd to call Priceline. I told her yet again that they needed approval from the hotel and that they gave me a ticket # to use when calling back after getting approval. I asked to speak to a manager again, and she told me I would need to call back in 10 minutes, and then I heard her tell him, "She refuses...(couldn't hear the rest)."I asked for the manager's name, and she wouldn't give it. In fact, she wouldn't answer me at all. I kept saying "hello" and asking if she was there, but she didn't answer. I finally hung up. I have spent several hours on my vacation on my birthday trying to settle this matter. I am hoping to resolve this matter. I am staying at Days Inn in Mountain View, and the lady at the front desk has been so, so nice and helpful. The staff at Days Inn in Mt. Home need to take lessons from her. I am hoping this issue can be resolved, and you can help me with my mistake. I am staying at a Days Inn after all. My phone number is [removed] and my email is [removed] I'm assuming the phone calls to Mt. Home were recorded, so you can listen for yourself. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you. Days Inn room care

July 9 2017 I booked a room in ATL GA at the Delk Rd location. Upon arrival the building looked clean and inviting. The clerk at check in was kind yet meek when speaking. This was the extent of pleasantness with my stay. On the railing to my room there were wasps nests to which endangered any guest who is allergic. The room was VERY dirty. The pillows and sheets had stains, the curtains were ripped, it appeared there was a hole that had just been repaired in the middle of the wall OR a picture had been moved and painted around. The picture over the bed was on the wall but SIDEWAYS. Even the bathroom had hair ON THE CEILING! Attention to detail was found NOWHERE at this location. The tv worked but with only 1 channel and it was the infomercials channel also the remote was NOT programmed to the Tv. The temp control only reached 60 degrees which is ok however the humity from the room being shut off to airflow made the air unit insufficient. The following morning "breakfast" left all the guests wanting as thing ran out and guests had to look for an emoloyee to bring out things such as forks. The bread items seemed to have been frozen and then placed out. Days Inn was once a valued place to stay for travelers and guests had pride in where they slept when away from home. With this new enviroment, attitude, and business model prepare for "Roach Motel" status and bankruptcy. You can have cheap rates and a cheap location but it MUST be clean.

Days Inn hotel room/service

I stayed at the days inn, in Kilgore, TX for work purposes. My stay was 2 days shy of 3 weeks. I confirmed that pets were allowed before I showed. Instead of a "flat rate" as most hotels do. I asked for a discount. Their original price was $20 a day. Owner knocked it down to $10 a day. That was still almost $210 for my entire stay. I have a small 6 lb yorkie. I checked out 2 days before the 3 weeks and he over charged me $20 on the ridicules pet charge. I also got bit by bed bugs. Their rooms smell clean when you walk in, but I'm telling you...I got bit all over my legs and arms. During my stay there was tree trimming company staying there. Those workers stayed up till 2 a.m. playing loud music and drinking almost every night. I had to get up early for work and wasn't getting proper sleep. When I asked to change my room...I was told no. I have told my company to never use this hotel again and I would recommend any one else to pass up on this place too. They do not accommodate you and their continental breakfast...the food is outdated according to the package. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!

Days Inn customer service/room dirty/late check inn

Hi my family and I stayed at the Days Inn, In Dubuque Iowa On Dodge St over the fourth of July this year. To start out check in was to be at 2pm. My daughter arrived first with a group of 9 and had joining rooms . Her rooms were not ready. We arrived around 3pm and our precooked rooms were not ready, now this is an hour past the time. They asked if we wanted to wait it would take 20-30 min per room .We agreed went to the pool for an hour or longer. Our room was still not cleaned.I called room service and stated we were leaving for a couple hours and expected it to be done when we get back. There were bugs in the light fixtures throughout the room, the smoke alarms were caked with dust which is a violation as my son in law is a fireman. There were cobwebs in the corners and throughout the edging of carpeting was not vacumed. The air conditioning did not work properly it stopped and started throughout our stay. We checked out a day early. Children cannot read that well so if you do not want them cutting through the bar area{as it is a short cut for them}Then maybe keep that door locked or not have a door there. My ids were spoke harshly to by staff members. My 2 year old did not have shoes on when we went for breakfast and a staff member hollered at us, yes hollered at us about not having shoes on. Should have used a calmer voice. Complained to the female manager as directed by a staff member and she was immediately defensive and came across as not very concerned nor caring.Very peony. Trying to speak with her and lids are running in and out of her office. And then she suggested we bring the lady from the breakfast area in and speak with her together! Seriously how is that not unprofessional and just plain stupid! Very poor management. Not very professional.I would spend the extra and go elsewhere next time.We were there for a family reunion, never again.
