Days Inn room and front desk issues

Days Inn, Bishop CA. 08/19/2017
On the above date my wife and I reserved a room for the night. The room was located on the second floor, when we entered the room we found the carpet was dirty, stained and reveled in many places, when I went to use the bathroom sink the knob came off the fixture, there was no cold water at that location bathroom sink, went to take a shower found long black hairs in the tub, shower head would only put out a steady not a spray, while taking a shower I was hit with ice water and then with scalding hot water. I travel a lot and have stayed in many motels but would call this the motel from hell. When I went to check out the person at the desk would not get off the phone to his buddy as I wanted to file a complaint at that time, he said he does not take complaints only the manager and was to leave my name and number so the manager could call the next day well (4) days later no call, this was the worst experience I have ever had at any motel. I want a full refund for that nights stay.
Thank you

Days Inn condition of facility

8/19/17 we checked into the Days Inn in Hutchinson, MN. This place is a disgrace! The condition of both the interior and exterior is atrocious! We booked as part of a wedding party block and did not have time to change hotels. I should have checked for other hotels in advance. The room had very sloppy housekeeping in the bed making and there were even holes and tears in the dust ruffles. The chairs were ancient with many stains. The side orange door we were directed to use to enter was very dilapidated. Not inviting at all! In the morning the hall by that door was flooding with a huge ceiling leak that I had to call and report. We could not wait to get out of there! I have included pictures and would request a full refund for our stay. The $95.35 we spent was way out of line considering the condition of this place. Really - it needs to be shut down! My email is [protected]@msn.com to reach me to settle the refund.

Days Inn service dog harassment, beds uncomfortable, carpet smelled

We called and made reservations over the phone. I have a service dog for a medical condition and made sure to tell the person we were taking to that I had a service dog. She stated that she would make sure to make a note in the reservation notes. When we got to the property the women at the desk started saying something about my service dog as soon as I walked through the door. I told her that the dog was my service dog and not my pet. I tried to explain the difference between a pet and a service dog, and the stated the state and federal laws concerning service dogs. I had to tell her to call her manager. She called and then asked for paperwork for the service dog. This went on for 20 minutes until I said that I was going to call the police. She finally agreed to let us stay. I went to the and printed up the Texas and Federal laws and gave the women at the desk the information I printed up. The beds were so uncomfortable that we did not get any sleep at all, plus we were so sore. The carpet also smelled very bad.

Days Inn bed bugs in room, clerk refused to issue refund

Hello, my name is Nicole. I booked a room at your facility at 1109 Parkway in Gatlinburg TN for 8/21 and checked in without issue. Confirmation #[protected]. When I got to my room, #134, I laid on the bed to rest after a 13 hour drive and found there to be bedbugs under the pillows and on the sheets. I went to the front desk to check out immediately and get a refund so i could go somewhere else. The gentleman at the desk said he couldn't issue a refund, the manager was out of town until Thursday, refused to give a full name. Brittany G was given on a crossed out business card with much hesitancy. I would like someone to address this issue and get back to me with urgency to issue a full refund. I now have to throw out my clothes I packed for vacation and monitor for bites, which if there are any it will put me out of work since I work in healthcare. Attached are the images I took from the room. I am only asking for a refund for my room in full : $73.06. I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.

Days Inn reception upon arrival, dirty room, pool full of algea

Upon arrival we were told our rooms we had reserved a week before, 2 rooms with 2 gueens, weren't available but could upgrade to 2 suites with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa when I tried to cancel the second night somehow magically our rooms became available we were told we could not cancel or be charged full price. When we got to our rooms the floors did not look to have been vacuumed there was toothpaste and soap on the faucet in the sink and soap on the faucet in the bathtub and I had to clean the toilet seat for we could use it. There was tape holding some of the wallpaper up and In the morning when I went to look at the pool it was so green you couldn't see the bottom because it's full of algae and dead bugs.. Thus is the 3rd time we have stayed at Days Inn and the last. We have had similar problems each time and some of the staff is not helpful and rude. Very disappointed! Maybe the staff snd cleaning people should act and clean exactly how they would want to be treated and stay in a room thats clean. It doesnt take much to be nice and actually do your job instead of going through the motions. I thought it was called The HOSPITALITY industry!

Days Inn poor quality disrespectful customer service

The following is a copy of an e-mail sent to the GM of this property in order to receive an acknowledgement, explanation and relatively small compensation for the quality of service given on our stay. He unsurprisingly failed to respond, assuming it would all go away on it's own without recourse or followup. This action falls in line with the rest of the people who delivered poor disrespectful service.

To the attention of Mario Smith, General Manager,

I am currently reviewing our recent stay and felt it was necessary to allow you the opportunity to hear about this experience first hand and give you the chance to respond accordingly and address these matters in a prompt, professional manner and to provide clear cut answers as to why this happened and how it can be prevented from repeating to other guests.

I always know, based on extensive travel over many years, that if something bad happens to me then chances are I am not the first person to experienced that. Patterns always repeat themselves and this reported behavior has been ongoing for quite some time.

For your interest...Arrived at Charlotte Airport and collected our bags and called your establishment with a confirmed one night room reservation. Asked for pickup and was told that the driver was on his way and should be there in a few minutes.TIME 9:15 a.m. Went to pickup location and started looking out for the Days Inn van of your property. I have excellent vision and look at every local hotel brand with eagles eyes so that we could get to our room asap to catch some sleep before continuing our journey.

45 mins.LATER and not happy at all after looking at soo many other transport vans picking up guests, we called again and was told he was coming. Patel, the driver, arrived and a bunch of other guests also waiting long piled into the van and as I expressed our discontent to him, was told that the van was full ! it is late, we are tired from travelling and this was so unprofessional to say the least !

He returned in 10 MINUTES ! Apologizing all the way and stating that when he is told there is a pickup, which he claims he wasn't, he can be there in minutes.

Upon arrival at the front desk, I patiently waited behind another check in and then as I approached the desk, Patel, who was visibly upset that I was not happy, spoke directly to JASMINE, Front desk clerk, addressing the fact that he was not told about me waiting for pickup. She looked at me with attitude written all over her facial expression and proceeded to respond in an arrogant tone, providing multiple 'reasons' why this happened and none of the responses involved her admitting fault in any way. I explained my position as an incoming guest and that my expectations were not met and we were upset about it. After responding with all those excuses, she gave one of those "I'm sawree" response, which was after this lengthy discussion. It was not a real admittance of apology on behalf of Days Inn but more of "I'm tired and finished with this issue. She arranged our room check in on the ground floor and after one more untruth as to whether Patel was working the morning shift, the check in was complete.

Please note, before being picked up at the airport, I asked other drivers whether construction traffic was slowing down and they said it was not an issue. When I was being told why he was late, she said "maybe it was traffic " as the first 'reason' and I checked her on that. I then said, we promptly called at 9:15 p.m. Response : "Lots of people called me at 9:15" This is not possible as she assumed that a bunch of fellow passengers also called for pickup but we had actually arrived earlier and had dinner first and then called.
When Patel was not in front of us in the office she says " We always have trouble with him" Not something you say to a guest about a fellow employee unless you want to push blame onto him for your obvious mistake and then cover up with various common excuses..also known as half truths as none of those things happened.

Patel was worried for his job and expressed his fear when we spoke to him after this Check In. You have a problem and it has existed for awhile. I suggest fixing it as guests like me won't tolerate this kind of behavior and will avoid your property when travelling through Charlotte. Trust and reliability is and has been broken.

I have been going on in the service of thoroughness and to be as clear as possible while expressing my total dissatisfaction with our short stay. Prompt reliable honest service is the expectation of both business travelers and casual guests. That basic requirement was not met and your response determines our future loyalty to your hotel as we pass through Charlotte.

I hope that you take me seriously on this matter and promptly respond to this communicae for the time spent to inform you accordingly
It was under the reservation name of Alexandra Polyzos for the one night listed above under a Hotels.com confirmation # [protected].
Whatever action you take should, at the bare minimum; include a gift card in the amount of $55., which is the cost of our stay.

I stand by everything I have related to you and await your timely response.
Respectfully, Paul Needelman/Alexandra Polyzos

Days Inn building is absolutely disgusting

I booked a room at the days inn in Sturbridge, Ma. Online. The pictures on the website make it look like a decent place to spend the night. When we arrived in our room it was quite a different picture. I am completely disgusted to the point that I don't feel comfortable getting under the covers of the bed. I have taken many photos of the filth that we have encountered in our room and the hallways of this establishment. Hair from someone else on the bathroom floor, dirty baseboards and heaters, doors with months of dirty handprints, a broken electrical plate cover, stains on the entire dirty carpet, Stairs that haven't seen a vacuum in a month, this place screams germs and bugs! If I had another place to go, I would leave now at 11:30 at night! I am not even going to partake in the free continental breakfast in the morning for fear that the kitchen is probably just as dirty and unhealthy if it is anything like the rest of this building! Shame on you Days Inn for misguided photos of your property. I will be sure to post all these nasty pictures online for all to see. I would like to request a refund immediately and would expect to be contacted right away. Sheryl

Days Inn shady business practice and fraudulent charges

We originally booked the room from 8/7/17 to 8/12/17. I paid $570 up front on my debit card. Paid the remainder of $352 upon arrival. That's $922 for 4 nights... we decided at check in not to stay the 5th night for an additional $316. After a heated discussion with the hotel staff we agreed that we would check out the morning of Friday 8/11/17. No additional charges. The hotel was giving complimentary rally hats and trinkets away... upon checkout we went to the front desk where the attendant Mark gave us the one bandana not knowing there was note stapled to it from the manager stating "I believe this is for the rude guy in 213, he gets nothing... lol". Unhappy with the entire experience at this hotel. The staff was rude and the one girl Brea stood there and lied right to my face and her boss that she hasn't discussed the reservations or the final cost with me on 4 different occasions.
So we leave on 8/11... return home. On 8/15 there is a charge on my card (unauthorized) for $126.55. I've call twice and no one can explain what the charge is for or who authorized it. I've reported the charge to my bank as fraud. The general manger at this location was with out a doubt one of the rudest people I've encountered in the hospitality industry. I will pursue till Days inn makes this right. Very poor service on their end.

Days Inn room/customer service

We booked our hotel online and when we got to the hotel the parking lot was taped off and there was no parking we were told to go about two three blocks down and park at the public parking I am handicap I looked at the manager owner and I told him you expect me to park that far away when I have stuff to unload and that I need in my room so he proceeds to tell me that I can park right in front the vending machines for the night that was fine hands us a little bag telling us here's a little gift for your inconvenience for no parking it had a instant oatmeal in it one pack of coffee and a pack of dried nuts really we spent $309 to stay two nights I go up to San Francisco for my Medical Treatments I've stayed at Days Inn in Morro Bay several times vacationing with my family and I've always enjoyed days and stays this was a nightmare we left Tuesday morning to tour San Francisco we get back and he has two other cars part where they had confirmed when I got back I'd be able to park so I can nicely got out of my vehicle and went into the office and he tells me to park down the street at a meter I go to the meter he advised me to go to and I had to be moved by 8 a.m. Granite this is 11 at night and I would like to sleep in when I'm on vacation so we proceeded to go to our room after I found parking across the street on a busy four-lane highway we go to work room and there's Brown water in our toilet it look like somebody went to the restroom and left it sitting in there so I called downstairs he says he'll be up he goes it's flushing I said yeah it's flushing but the water is brown and I turned on the faucet and the running water was Brown I looked at him and said do you expect me to brush my teeth in that water or just turn on the hot water and it'll help clear it out well. Stupid the hot water runs through a filter so that evens out the water look I turn on the tub and fill it a little bit up and it's brown so I asked me expect me to shower in that again just turn on the hot water he said that it was the city of San Francisco doing work well that morning he had Roto-Rooter downstairs Drilling in the ground I asked him so now I don't have no water he says there's water in the vending machine I was not giving that man another dime of my money so at 12 at night I run across the street to get my ice chest Granite I am handicap this was the worst service we've ever had the whole door frame was coming off the inside of the door after I got scratched by a nail that was sticking out he decided to finally take the nail out after it ripped my sister's shirt before I could get my camera to take a picture but I did get pictures of all the water issues and I would like to send them to you I'm disgusted at how he treated people we talk to people from Italy that had gotten in they were mad there was no parking I talked to for young ladies that were there and they were checking out they were upset there was no parking and also Brown water in the rooms he shouldn't be allowed to open his rooms up if he's going to be doing construction that's going to cause the customers issues he was fine of course his family had everything made down there and their little house. And it was almost like he was laughing he had a sarcastic look on his face like he didn't give two s**** of course we had already paid and where we going to go find a room in San Francisco in August last minute.he did offer us to move to the next room over but with me being handicapped by this time it's about 11:30 quarter to 12 I had a lot of stuff to pack up and have to move there was no way I was moving my room that late at night I also told me he didn't have no downstairs rooms available because of the fact of having to walk on the black stuff they had put down in the parking lot will during the night I went out on the balcony and had a cigarette with my sister and people were checking in and getting downstairs rooms but I had to carry all my stuff upstairs Granite I'm handicap and I have a plaque the sign in the window made me laugh the next morning because after he realized I was going to report it to corporate cuz he heard me telling my sister I was taking pictures he decided to print up that sign cuz that's time was not there when we checked in I have more pictures and a video of the door jamb and the lock and the bathtub water I could not upload I would be more than willing to email them to the proper person if you folks need them the only reason why I'm complaining is it makes two Days Inn franchise look bad the name I've always enjoyed staying at Days Inn in Morro Bay very clean rooms very nice staff but here yeah the rooms were clean and the people that work for them were very nice but the owner himself didn't seem like he cared about the people that were staying there and if my room look like that I can imagine what the other people's room look like the only good thing about my stay was the good conversations I had with his staff they were very nice and understanding

Days Inn staff, safety, charges on my card

I stayed at the Days Inn on 7/13/ 2017, in Wilmington Delaware. My name is Andrew Zavarella. While staying at this location, an African-American man attempted to rob me. He seemed to be affiliated with the staff at the front desk who had several of her friends in the front lobby the entire evening. I was lucky enough to sneak out at the right time and walk a couple miles to where my vehicle was parked waiting for repairs the following day. I had a charge on my card for $89.71. This was for the room that I abandoned in the middle of the night for my own protection. This charge was completely understandable and acceptable. Upon looking at my bank statement right now, the Days Inn charged me an additional $500, even. Now I didn't even use the room for the entire evening and I certainly didn't damage anything. The person attempting to rob me most likely secured additional keys from his friends at the front desk. But you can clearly see me leaving in the middle of the night. What on Earth would I be charged 500 dollars for? Subsequently, I have noticed this charge overdrafted my account. In good faith, I request this matter be researched, cameras viewed, and upon conclusion that this charge was unnecessary, I would like the full 500 as well as the 89.71 refunded to me for everything that I went through and fees associated with the overdraft. The fact Still Remains that I did not even use the room for the entire evening as I was not and did not feel safe. Furthermore, I would like legal action pursued on the aggressor, staff, and all other folks in the front lobby that partook in making fraudulent charges on my card as well as putting Me In Harm and danger. As an avid Wyndham Rewards member- points and free stays would definitely make me feel better about using a Wyndham Resort in the future. If due diligence in this investigation is done, I guarantee that you will find I was mistreated and deserve some type of recourse . I am a business owner and I own a moving company. Myself and my staff I put all up in Wyndham Resorts all over the country at all months of the year. I would appreciate points or free stays- as you see fit- to make this right. Prior to entertaining my request, please research my complaint so you can see why I would request what I am requesting. Thank you.

Days Inn unethical business practices

On 8/12/17 my family and I planned a family reunion on the weekend of 8/12 thru 8/13. I booked 4 rooms(Order #[protected] Conf, #[protected]) thru Tickets at Work at the Sharonville, OH Days Inn location (11775 Lebanon Road, [protected]@gmail.com, [protected]).
Among their amenities was and outdoor pool, when the rooms were booked there were no notes that the pool was shutdown. I found out after we arrived that the health department shut the pool down. If I knew the pool was closed I could have booked with Days Inn East. So the manager (Older Gentleman) who choose to stay nameless. When I asked about some type of discount since my children and 5 grand children would have to go down the road to a local water park. I asked him let me talk to my family and find out what they wanted to do. We decided to stay at the hotel and spend the extra money on the water park. When I returned to the front desk I said we will take the four rooms and go to the water park. His response was I have already canceled the rooms. I asked about getting them back and he said you cannot have them back because we are booked up tonight and I can get double the money you paid in the next hour for the four rooms. I asked him for the corporate number, region managers number and he said there was no one above him that I could talk to.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Days Inn rooms

We stayed at Days Inn in Waco, Texas this past weekend Friday-Sunday. I have never complained about a motel before and we stay in a motel alot due to select baseball and traveling ALL Summer.  We arrived Friday night late 10-11pm, checked in, got to our room and it was so HOT we were all sweating bad, our room should not have been that hot that late. We gave it a good hour to cool off and well it didnt so I walked down to the office and spoke with the lady and she was super sweet! We got moved to the other side of motel, drove over there walked in room and the disaster begins.  We were moved to a smoking room, it smelt horrible but at this point it was cool in the room we didnt care. I had looked on priceline at the rooms and the pictures looked nice, so thats why we choose here. I dont expect much at ALL from a room but to atleast look kinda like the pics and well be a little clean.. im NOT picky at all bit this was disgusting.  Im going to send pictures and you can also decide what you think. They had already charged my card for 2 days otherwise I would have left and found somewhere clean atleast. When the pictures advertised about the motel online arent even close to what the rooms look like thats a problem (LOL) but all in all its not funny.  The staff was nice, but that does not make up for what your paying for.. like I said I dont expect much at all but atleast be clean. The pre authorized hold on my card wouldn't have been off in time for me to go pay another almost 200$ elsewhere to stay, we were pretty much stuck . Im going to include pics of our room and what our room was suppose to atleadt come close to looking like. I was embarrassed for my own child I felt horrible and he had a friend w him, it was horrible . Thanks Alot -Lori Schiller

The date of August 3rd, 2017 we stayed the night at Days Inn Hotel at the address of 372 White Hill Road Staunton, VA 24401. When accessing the bathroom, the bathtub was not properly cleaned, and there was hair in the bathtub. The next day, we had breakfast in the morning which was not pleasant at all. Days Inn my stay at days inn dickson city pa, aug 2-5 2017

When I first checked in, I was shown to room #214, which wasn't made up yet (4:30 PM). Then I was sent to #209, which faced a very steep incline at the road and had a lot of men working on this slope outside my window, pulling weeds and doing mulch & I was SO uncomfortable seeing this,
it seemed like they were looking right into my room! So- again I asked to switch rooms. Lolita told me there were absolutely none available. I told her I didn't believe her. We went back & forth like this for 15 min, with Lolita being aggravated at ME for asking for another room, . I suggested she just switch me to a room that wasn't checked into yet. She suddenly found room #202; After bringing in my luggage and my dog to this second room, I went out to dinner & went into the hotel bathroom for the first time when I came back about 10::00.  To my disgust I saw the filthy bathroom. There were spills down the walls, a dirty tile floor and really filthy tile baseboards & tub, and a plastic floss stick on the floor next to the garbage can which was NOT mine! The corner of the hall where you came into my room was never vacuumed, and covered in dirt and dead bugs! In the morning I called the front desk & asked Lolita to come look at the room...Wanda came to my room to see it.. She was visibly both disgusted and embarrassed in witnessing how dirty the room, bed & bathroom were. There was litter under the bedclothes on one bed - obviously those sheets were not changed, so I shudder to think when the sheets were last changed in that other bed I slept in ?! About 45 minutes after Wanda went back to the front desk Lolita came up with a key to Room #218, and tried to quickly leave without  looking at the bathroom as I had asked her to do.  I insisted she come to see for herself that I wasn't making this up & after barely/quickly looking she just said (without even looking me in the eye) "go to room #218". Once again I repacked my and my dog's things, and it took several trips for me to move from #202 to #218 and unpack again. The room itself was cleaner inside, but still a very dirty tub, tile floor and especially filthy tile baseboards. What is it with these bathrooms? Why don't they get scrubbed clean? The bathroom walls in BOTH 202 & 218  had spills down them, as if 1/2-full coffee cups were thrown towards the waste basket...but the spills were never cleaned up!  I have never stayed at such a dirty place in my life and I wasted a $200 Travelocity credit to stay there, as I had already purchased tickets to two nights' events in Scranton.

I'm a handicapped senior, and was traveling with my dog. Having to unpack, repack and move all of my luggage AND my dog from one room to another caused me an awful lot of stress, which caused an increase in my (chronic) pain level. This was all a terrible experience for me.

Seriously, I think Travelocity should drop this hotel from their listing. Not only is the inside dirty, but the outside was full of high weeds growing up around the front and sides of the building - like a place that was out of business. The doors and windows are all covered in prints & spills -- doesn't anyone even check this sort of thing here? I had to come into the side door at night after coming back from the events because I have a handicap placard and need to park as close as I can to the door - and it was pitch black out there...NO lights at all, which was very scary for this elder, handicapped woman !

I have taken quite a few photos on my cell phone, if you would be interested in seeing them.  The ones without the room key are room #202, and I held up the key to room #218 to show which room that was.

Days Inn room was disgusting. did not stay and did not get refund.

I checked in to the Days Inn in Lebanon valley, located at 625 Quentin Road, Lebanon PA, 17042. It was by far the most disgusting hotel room I have ever experienced. It was evident that the room was not cleaned at all prior to my check in, and the state of the room was appalling. There were several piles of hair in the floor, a clipped toe nail on the floor lamp, trash on the floor, and several stains on the carpet. The sheets and bed spread looked like they had not been changed or washed and there were cigarette burn holes in the duvet on the bed (in a non-smoking room, mind you). The desk in the room was dirty and beat up. It also had several cup marks on the surface. The desk chair was also very dirty. There was a layer of dust on everything, from the desk, to the beds, to the fridge, to the television. The television did not work properly as every channel contained a heavy layer of static. The bathroom contained what appeared to be a large urine stain on the floor and wall near the toilet. The tub also had several stains and looked like it had not been cleaned. The mirror was covered in dirt as well. Within 20 minutes of arriving we decided we could not stay in hotel that allowed the rooms to be in such a deplorable condition. We immediately returned to the front desk and said we would not be staying for either night we booked and demanded a refund. The manager attempted to switch our room, but after my experience in the first room I did not want to spend another minute in that hotel. The manager refused to refund me both nights and gave me only one night. This was the only time I had ever been in a hotel room that I simply could not bring myself to sleep in. Fortunately I was able to book another hotel in the area (the Wyndham in Mechanicsburg) upon leaving to avoid sleeping in my car. However, there was no way I was sleeping in that deplorable hotel given the condition of the room I was given. I have stayed at plenty of Days Inn in the past and have never had such a problem. I would therefore ether like a refund of both nights or a credit for a future stay, as I know not all hotels in this group are in such a state as the one I had the misfortune of booking.

First off, Days Inn? It's a Motel, not a Hotel. Secondly, Days Inn means nothing these days. Some are well kept (Kingman, AZ, West is an example) many are bedbug traps only good for having a quick screw and leave. Let's get English right again. MOTEL - not Hotel. Thank you. Have a nice day.
