I can't find it anywhere but online. I went to the DAWN website at http://www.dawn-dish.com/en_US/powerdissolver.do and sent them an email (kind of tricky to find - you have to go to their site map and jump through some hoops) about it - as there are many websites where people are looking for this product. I can't find it at any of the stores that I used to be able to purchase it or any of the stores that their locator directs you. They send you to Amazon but there are other sources, including some places that will sell it to you by the case - unfortunately the shelf life is only one year. I suspect that it has something to do with discontinuing and marketing.

I told them in my email that it is the only product that has been able to get baked on food and grease off my stainless steel Dacor cooktop - nothing else, including the manufacturer's recommended products work. I think I'll be purchasing it online and hope that Proctor and Gamble decide to remarket the product so that it is on the shelves next to the heavy duty oven cleaners.

I have not been able to find this item and where and I absolutely loved it for my laudry. Awesome at getting out stains. Why is it discontinued? Please bring it back. Nothing I've used works as well.

Proctor and Gamble stated very clearly that there is not a big enough demand for this product for them to continue making it in anything but the 32oz bottles that you can only buy at large stores that sell bulk cleaning stuff or amazon or other places online. Most of those places are only selling it by the case which is 6 bottles. You can find single bottles or sets of three bottles on eBay but you will generally pay more for them than you would if you just bought the case ( I'm talking about price per bottle here, not the total cost) so a lot of folks who use this often just buy the case. It states it has a shelf life of one year but proctor says 2 if kept in the right conditions like inside your home instead of in the garage with heat and freeze. There is a recipe on pinterest that you can look up that is as close a replica as anyone has ever seen for making your own DPD and the ingredients aren't that hard to find if you are crafty and like to do that sort of thing. Why they always manage to get rid of things that actually work and blame it on people not buying enough of it when people are everywhere begging for it so you know it sold well is beyond me. Happens all the time, though, and really makes you wonder what the hell proctor and gamble were thinking ! Hope any of this info. helps someone out there get back the cleaner we all love so much and the only one that actually worked on those dirty, dirty, aluminum pans.

I did some digging around and found some available as a 6-pack on this site, the price is the best I've been able to find and it looks like they have free shipping: http://www.buydmi.com/dawn-institutional-power-dissolver-1-qt-btl-6-pk-p/pgc%2056037.htm

I have been told the product has been discontinued as Dawn Power Disolver, but reborn as Dawn Grill Cleaner! Same contents, just different labeling, etc. Check Home Depot, etc. GOOD LUCK!

I ordered two cases of 32 oz 6 per case from my local Staples free shipping to pick up at store.

This it the commercial version of the 12 oz bottles.

It can also be ordered online for about the same price and shipped to your house:

It can be bought at CleanitSupply by the case. It doesn't expire to the point, I have had some for 3yrs and just ran out. P&G is thinking of stopping production of this product. I will use my case full sparingly.

This product was the absolute best for broiler pans, pots, stoves ( I have a gas cooktop) and anything else with baked on grease. Nothing else worked. Just spray it on, let it sit overnight and wash with ease in the morning. I have used this for at least 5 or 6 years and could no longer find it. I called Proctor and Gamble and was told it had been discontinued. With all of the positive comments about this product, I was so surprised. Customer service told me to use Dawn Platinum Erasing Dish Foam. Does not work. Why did they discontinue this product? PLEASE bring it back. I know that I would not be the only happy person to see it on the shelves again!

Am looking for Dawn Power Dissolver no scrubbing in 12.8 oz spray bottles. I use it all the time and love this product. Use to buy it in the local grocery store for $4.98 and now I only see it for $398.88 for two bottles. Are we kidding? What is up with this fabulous product? Can anyone help? I live in zip code 08844 in New Jersey.

I wanted to clean my greasy stovetop today and went looking for my leftover bottle of Dawn Power Dissolver and couldn't find it - not only that I couldn't remember the name of it either so I figured it out by Googling and went to look for where to buy because I also couldn't remember where I bought it. I went to my local grocery store, no dice, to the drugstore, not there either. I was going to keep looking and gave up. Then I found out it's been discontinued! I was going to order some online and then miraculously found the half-empty bottle I'd been looking for buried under some stuff beneath the sink so I was able to use it today. But now I'm bummed because it's the only product that has worked! In fact, I bought some other stuff yesterday - that didn't work - and I used some Goo Gone grill cleaner - also didn't work. THIS IS THE ONLY STUFF THAT REMOVES BURNT ON GREASE! It seems no matter what product I love, it gets discontinued. Anyway Proctor and Gamble is ridiculous for taking it off shelves. I did manage to find one site - janitors-world.com - that sells 32 ounce bottles for $8.95 - however you pay $13 in shipping. Still the cheapest I've seen for it though. PROCTOR AND GAMBLE - BRING BACK DAWN POWER DISSOLVER!

I am so dissappointed that P&G has discontinued this product. It is by far the best degreaser that I have ever used. Cannot imagine them discontinuing such a remarkable product. PLEASE bring it back P&G. In my opinion it is the best product that you have ever made.

Please bring Dawn Ultra Power Dissolver back on the market! This is hands down THE BEST stovetop degreaser EVER! If you're not bringing it back, at least tell us why not. If you plan to bring it back, approximately when. Obviously there is great demand for your product. Thank you!

In Feb 2015 found the Dawn Grill cleaner 12 oz bottle which is the same product, on Amazon for $18-$19. Found the Dawn Power Dissolver 32 oz for $24 and free shipping on Ebay. Good luck!

Also want to let you know that I had my bottle in storage for 6 years and it still worked great. I would not worry about the shelf life...

I can't find Dawn Power Dissolver in any Wal-Mart I've visited in SC. Please! Proctor and Gamble bring it back. This is the greatest product of all times. The item was always in the Dawn Dish Detergent section in all Wal-Mart's. I've been looking for months in every aisle around where this product was located. The employees don't seem to know when a product is discontinued. There is no one who can tell me anything.

I cannot find this anywhere in my zip code of 46902 now! So UPSET too because it was the ONLY product I have ever found that WORKS on baked on grease or grease that has sat for ages! They REALLY NEED to Brig It Back! The crap they offer in the white bottles now does NOT work at all, same as using plain water and costs too dang much!

I used this product and it was the bomb. Can't buy it anymore. My local store couldn't even buy it by the case. The stuff they're peddling in the white bottles is worthless. I bought a case and it was going to cost too much to return it. Threw it out.

I visited the Dawn website last night and they show the Power Dissolver is not available on-line any longer (but I do see that Amazon has it for a ridiculous price) and I went to 3 stores in my area that are listed as carrying it and none of them carry it any longer. I am truly disappointed.

How did all these sellers on ebay and Amazon get this product and are now selling it for ridiculous prices! $20-25 a bottle! Are you kidding me? That's like price gouging and for a product that Walmart has listed on their website for $2.63 but it is no longer available. I have been using this for years and I am so displeased. I did just write to Dawn and asked them what gives and why the price gouging. People selling this product are greedy and cruel...

I love this product. You can buy it online for $12+. These companies are ripping the consumer off. I bought it when the stores carried it for $3. What's the deal on this?

I called the phone number on the bottle to inquire about why I can't find it at 6 Walmarts, 3 Targets, 2 KMarts and was told that this product was discontinued! They sugest that I use the Foam stuff - I've tried it and it is not as good! I not only used this Power Dissolve stuff on dishes I used it to clean my white stove top ! Works awesome - I guess I'll have to continue to try other products and hope I find something just as good.

Hello everyone! I actually emailed P&G and according to them it has been discontinued! Heartbreaking I know. Be sure I expressed my great displeasure at this turn of events. The online prices you see is for lots of more than one - usually about 12 bottles. Lets bombard them with requests to bring it back!

I too have tried buying the Dawn Power Dissolver and is no where to be found in 33435. SE FL. The price online is highway robbery. I know I would have never paid 15 plus for a 12 oz. bottle. What is the problem.

Try looking for Dawn Grille Cleaner. The bottle & description look exactly the same so I'm thinking it may be a re-branding issue. I can find the grille cleaner at Home depot and various other stores. Says it's good for the grille & pots & pans too!

The Power boost Dawn is a spectacular product but having bought it once I can no longer find it at any chain in Llas Vegas/ Henderson valley area. I asked the store and they said "it didn't sell". It sold but it lasts so the turn around is slower than the standard dish detergent. Please let me know how to get some. I am almost out!

I used to be able to locate this product at Redners Warehouse Markets and WalMart but neither carry it anymore. I have found it at Ace Hardware stores but I don't like the price they get for it. So I surfed the internet and have found several places where you can purchase it. The cost is $37.90 plus shipping. I always buy it by the case not only because it is cheaper per bottle but also because I use it for EVERYTHING. Stove, microwave, tub, shower, toilet (inside and out), walls, floors, laundry stains etc... I have found NO OTHER product on the market that does so much. Next to windex for glass I don't use any other cleaning product in my home.
