Davison Design & Development - scam

your companys sales men are misleading and are no differnt that a cars sales man. i am a father of three that has been laid off there for very little income and your salesman had me thinking that my idea was the greatest idea in the world and that the hole comp;any was talking about how great the idea was i sent you every extra penny i had for a stupid cd and some patient research. the thing that gets me is that after i paid you over $700.00 you said it would be a couple week that you would get ahold of me when it was done i waited a couple weeks, still didnt hear from you at all no calls no email nothing so i called you and you went on saying that my idea must be further along than you thought because you didnt see my file anywere then i started to wonder why you were stallingand why you copuld find my file i said i had changed my mind i would just like my money refunded and you said quote " no refunds my friend " then you sent me some email of a product that wasnt even mine and when i wrote back upset because that wasnt even my product you covered your ### by saying that that was a company that was interested in my product but how could that be if you hadnt even presented my product to anyone yet you dont even have a prototype to present yet and never stated in our privacy policy that you were going to present it yet and i would be getting a portfolio in a couple of weeks then i got a couple cds with some patents of similar products and i paid that much money for what to anyone thinking about going threw with davison.. be ware that talk a good talk but are just educated scam artest they dont care about your invention just there commision

you should have seen the comment they posted first and must have taken off BASICLY IN SO MANY FANCY WORDS TELLING ME IM A LIAR AND IF I DONT TAKE MY COMMENT OFF THAT THEY WOULD TAKE LEAGAL ACTION BUT IM NOT A LIAR AND IF THEY WANT THEY CAN TAKE LEAGAL ACTION I HAVE NOTHING TO TAKE ANYWAYS AND THEY ALSO SAID THEY WOULD GET A HOLD OF ME AFTER THEY LOOKED INTO THE RECORDED PHONE CALLS BUT STILL NOTHING NO PHONE CALL OR EMAIL NOTHING

you can take leagal actions if you want. just for the record i never said all of your staff members were rude in fact i said just the opposite, a car salesman is always nice and tell you what ever you want to hear. then stand behind all the small print. but this the one time i talked to a suppervisor yes from the first moment i was on the phone with her she was very rude and had a very had attitude it might of been that she was haveing a bad day but as the only suppervisor available at all according to her . then maybee she should be able to still keep a professional tone. of corse i started yelling through the phone. anyone would the way her tone of voice was. as she called me a liar. she didnt know i was lieing because nothing i said was a lie nor is anything i said in these comments yet you call me a liar in your response to.

Well I'm going to have a class action lawsuit against them if I don't get my $1,797 that I totally sent them so far and by me not just reading these reviews I definitely want a refund

That's what happened to me in 2013 after my father passed away I am an Epileptic and I took my invention to Davison I really thought they was going to help me they got 900.00 out of me and wanted 5000.00 for a proto-type said they did all the patent work and had a buyer being on a fixed income it was hard to come up with 900.00 so they let me do it in payments called me all the time even Talked to my Aunt I was living with to make it seem so real I believed them they He stated because it would help people Medically he was giving me a break and the had my whole Invention done but needed a proto-type because he had a Company that was interested in my Invention. I had no more money to give and I lost my invention to them they still have it need it more than ever now.

I HAD CONTACTED DAVISON BACK IN 2006. TALK WITH THIS SALES GUY. HE HAD ME TO DESCRIBE MY IDEAL OVER THE PHONE AND WE WAS SURE THAT MY IDEAL WAS ONE OF ITS KIND. HE CALLED ME ALL TIMES OF THE DAY, AT WORK, WHILE I WAS AT THE GROCERY STORE. HE ACTED AS IF I HAD A GOLD MINE OF AN IDEAL. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER WITH 2 SMALL KIDS AT THAT TIME. AND HE TOLD ME THE ONLY WAY TO EVEN GET MY IDEAL LOOKED AT WAS TO SUBMIT 265.00 TO THEM IN THE MAIL. I WAS SO PROUD OF MY IDEAL, I WAS SO EXCITED. HE EVEN HAD ME TO DRAW MY IDEAL ON A PIECE OF PAPER AND SAID THAT IT WAS FANTASTIC. ONE DAY HE HAD HIS WIFE WITH HIM AND HE CALLED ME ON A SATURDAY WHILE HE WAS SHOPPING WITH HIS WIFE AND HAD HER TALKING IN THE BACKGROUND TELLING ME HOW GOOD AND BRILLIANT MY IDEAL WAS. I WAS SO EXCITED. I WENT RIGHT THEN GOT THE MONEY ORDER . AFTER I SENT THE MONEY HE SENT ME A LARGE BLUE BOOKLET THAT HAD SEVERAL PICTURES OF OTHER PEOPLE IDEALS AND DRAWING, THEN HE CALLED AFTER RECEIVING THE 265.00 FROM ME, HE CALLED AND SAID THAT THE NEXT STEP WAS PUTTING MY IDEAL TOGETHER. HE SAID THAT WOULD COST ME 500.00 BECAUSE IT HAD TO GO TO ANOTHER DEPARTMENT. SOMETHING CLICK IN MU HEAD AND I KNEW HE WAS FOOLING ME TO DRAW MONEY OUT OF ME, AND HE WAS CALLING ME ALL THE TIME I HAD TO BLOCK HIM FROM CALLING MY HOUSE. PLEASE DON'T SENT THIS COMPANY ANY MONEY, I LOOK AT IT LIKE THIS . IF MY IDEAL WAS SO GREAT THEN THEY WOULD HAVE PAID ME FOR IT.

I told Davison representative whom got really upset and said there was a confidentiality document they has to sign so there was no way they were going to tell me they worked with Davison ... totally red flags right. The company they said would love to take my invention has on their website the companies they affiliate with. If Davison is such a great company or they really work together why wouldn't they put them on their website, right? when the representative from Davison realized i was not a person they could scam . she said they had to terminate there services for doing my own research on the company they claimed to work with.i tried to talk with the supposedly kind lady i was working with but she gave me nothing but the runaround.I am glad i found out before i gave them $10, 000 . That's what they wanted to make my invention.I know it is scary to have your invention on the market but don't go with Davison, They are nothing but scams. I was already working with someone as well as with Davison to get my idea patent.So they couldn't still my idea. I would tell you guys go with legal zoom.com they will help you as they have helped me for a fraction 1000.00 compaired to 10, 000 they have people who will do the sketches and submit your application. These are patent attorneys who work with legal zoom. plus the go with Idea Design studio. Thats who i worked with and everything is wonderful.

Because your are uneducated you need to blame someone. I believe you had to sign a contract before they did the work. Did you really sign a contract to something you did not understand in full. I believe you are the wrong person to give advice.

Okay,

I was contracted with Davison Inventions to pursue "pre-development" work. This was about 800.00 to pursue. No big deal...

Now let me preface this with the fact that I had ONLY signed the contract to pursue this initial stage. I had not in any way agreed to pursue any other services through Davison. I paid the ~800 in full right away.

They had put together the pre-development work, to completion, and mailed it to me...

A few days after I received my package, both of my "backers" had to drop out due to financial reasons.

I emailed Sean Jones, my sales rep, and told him that I wasn't able to pursue the 2nd stage (licensing presentations/prototype, etc).

When I told Sean to close my account, I was replied to, via email, with the words "What a waste of time, I will close it now."... ... ... That was it. No "sorry for your troubles", no "best of luck", rather an email telling me that, EVEN THOUGH I FULFILLED MY OBLIGATION OF PAYING THE 800.00, I wasted their time...

If Sean thought that I was going to be pursuing the next step, that was an assumption on his part. If they offer services in stages, and we decided to pursue ONLY THE FIRST STAGE, how would that be a waste of time? I just don't get it...

If this was a "Waste of time", then I would expect a full refund of my 800 dollar, waste of time, investment.

Knowing that the pursuit of my invention from start to finish, was going to be between 8 and 12 grand... I would expect a significantly higher level of service and, even more so, professionalism.

I email the CCA and called and left a voicemail for their "president"... No response from the CCA, but I did get an email from some lady in response to my email. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to understand what I was communicating. She kept speaking over top of me and eluding the point of professionalism lacking in my time with Davison. She kept repeating herself saying "we fulfilled our obligation"...

I am not speaking to their obligation.. The bottom line is, don't tell someone who paid for a service that it was a "waste of time".

My issue was not resolved. And the woman that called me back, told me that the decision to not give me a refund for this "waste of time" was coming "Straight from the president"...

Fellow Inventors, do not "waste time" by even thinking about contacting Davison. I would hate for anyone else to receive the same lack of service and professionalism that I did.

Again, I invested additional time emailing their CCA (which has been responding to just about every complaint with the same canned email), and calling the "President"...

I feel like a fool for investing a dime. Don't do the same.

PS.i ask davidson for all copies of phone calls each time i got one, and there were a lot, cover thier back calling rather than put in writing,
i was on phone with a mr davis in the beginning, he was excited as he said, so, if davidson keep calls on file, they should hear him tell me he mentioned it to his disabled father who thought it was a good idea I had, when i called next, i was told "Mr davis was no longer with us, "my last phone conntact with the Vice President was useless, he should have the recording about how he told me, if i post and reject all complaints, they will give me 2 free showings, if i dont then i wont get 2 free showings, i refuse.so mr vp let me hear your phone recording, you have my E Mail address and name, what is the delay in replying to me?

sorry to hear about your complaint, read on, and notice all complaints sound the same, lost 12 grand, yes, 12 grand, and i agree the salesman do give impression Iinvention is good, well i am dealing with them here, have they mailed me yet?no,
i got in touch with the area, Attorney General for my area, you should look it up and talk to them, i had no luck, because i could not prove the things said on the phone, and when i ask for a written copy of calls, they said no, they dont do that, well good luck to you.

Customer service is vital in all businesses and is imperative when operating a successful business. Customer concerns upset everyone and our staff works very hard to troubleshoot them so communication errors are kept to a minimum. From reading your complaint there appears to a communication breakdown and you are upset. We are acknowledging your post so let’s fix this.

In truth, customers are not always right and companies are not always right. The effort to curing issues of concern, listening intently and calmly addressing issues is a role our Chief Consumer Advocate’s office has enthusiastically taken on.

If you are a client, we are sure that you received our initial printed brochure, visited our website and received subsequent materials - all of which thoroughly described our services. In addition, you would have received simply written contracts that clearly describe each service offering and the fees associated with those services. When you have the opportunity please re-review the materials.

One of the things you will notice is that all of our contracts and the disclosure documents that you received said explicitly that we don’t evaluate product ideas. So, if you were thinking that you had the greatest idea in the world, it wasn’t because the company was offering you services or telling you that.

If you still feel as though you did not receive the services that were described to you in writing, you should contact our offices. We try to communicate in a very complete manner while recognizing the fact we are contacted by individuals from all over the world. Sometimes communications can be difficult because of cultural barriers. Thus, the great need to place all of our service offerings in clear and easily understood agreements.

As for your claimed experience with our representative, we would like to verify your remarks. We can do that because our representatives’ phone conversations are recorded and monitored to ensure compliance with company policies. Please understand we are contacted by tens of thousands of people each year, so there is no reason for a customer service person to act like a “cars salesman.” However, if one of our representatives acted inappropriately we would like the opportunity to investigate and take corrective action.

Obviously, posting anonymously does not afford us the opportunity to verify your remarks. Below you will find the Chief Consumer Advocate’s email address. Please send us a note describing your post on this “gripe-site” and we will contact you.

Davison is well ahead of the curve when it comes to compliance with strict regulatory control, which among other things provides inventors with greater transparency and written terms and conditions. All individual clients and even potential clients are provided risk statements in the form of an Affirmative Disclosure and the American Inventor Protection Act disclosure. No other company on the globe can compete based on the quality of product design and development services at the price points we offer.

We would like to note the fact that in the past competitors have posted false and malicious comments and questions about us on the internet. Instead of choosing to compete by offering economic product design, development and packaging services they have chosen to confuse consumers by posting false information on “gripe-sites”. Our staff of over 250 people and their families don’t deserve to be defamed by an anonymous poster. In general, companies are no longer letting anonymous posters on the internet get away with intentionally harming their reputations. We suggest that this poster read complaintsboard.com’s legal disclaimer concerning personal liability for posts. Comments like “scam” are actionable.
