Dave & Buster’s bar

Tonight at the Syracuse Dave and Busters, I received the worst service possible at the bar. My roommate and I sat down after playing games and were sitting for ten minutes with multiple bartenders walking by and not even acknowledging us as we sat there trying to wave them down. They served multiple people before us and continued to walk by us. Finally after 10 minutes, the bartender at the time, Yen, came over and asked very rudely what we wanted to drink while she was extremely nice to other customers at the bar. I stated that I wanted the strawberry watermelon margarita and my roommate wanted the snow cone. She checked my ID and gave it back and checked my roommates and immediately called the manager over because she thought it was a fake, even though it's a brand new renewed license. We had to wait another 10 minutes just to get our drinks, and after that time I got the wrong drink and My roommate received an extremely Watered down. She was cheery with everyone else except us and never checked on us again. I usually receive great service at Dave and Busters in Syracuse and tonight I was shocked that my service was the worst service I've ever gotten. Extremely disappointed in this bar and in Yen.

Dave & Buster’s power card

This was my second time visiting this location and also my second time having a minor problem. I was playing the Star Trek game and won 7 cards and had 12 coins the colored ones . On the machine it stated the cards are 100 each and coins are 50 . The total on my card after that should have been 1300 from just that not adding on the 234 I had got previously before playing this game at the other coin game, my total should of been 1534 and not 1058. I am very upset because I was cheated 476 tokens, a well amount that could of brought me something from the inside store with.

Dave & Buster’s food and wait staff/ service

I was at the lynnhaven mall location on aug.20, 2017. The service was absolutely ridiculous! The entire section sitting in front of the 3 large screen, waited an extremely long time to be waited on. A few of us got up and approached servers asking can we please get someone to take our orders? Even then it took about 10 - 15 min more before anyone came over to the section/ tables. Then once they did finally come over it took forever to just bring our drinks and food was even longer.!
My husband got a cup of coffee that was strong enough to kill an elephant and served luke warm. We ordered the carnivore pizza as an appetizer and it tasted like cardboard totally disgusting!
Our waitress sara didn't come back to check drinks and food or anything! I had to flag down other waiters to find her just to try to get a drink refill... It was unreal! Everyone in this section was p*ed off!
Later we got a blt turkey buger and it came out barely warm and without the fries that go with it. My daughter got chicken finger kids meal and the chiken was so small it looked like nuggets.. And I thought the drink came with kids meal?
To say that we were disappointed and unhappy with food & service is a huge understatement.
Please advise your staff to improve their service at this location and to get the food out while it's hot.

At this time I seriously wouldn't recommend this location to anyone!
They need to improve service and for the prices they charge for food the quality needs to drastically improve.

Dave & Buster’s was overcharged and had a terrible experience

Was at the Livonia location in Michigan with a couple business associates, we are all here in Michigan for work. Scott the manager was very rude and on top of that no one notified us that had we waited 10-20 minutes we could have gotten power cards with "240 minutes" which I was informed after I paid another 12$ for more points/tokens. Both of those things just made me never want to come back but now on top of all that I check my card and I have 3 charges 2 of them for 14$ and 1 charge for 12$. I only should have been charged 1 charge for 14$ and 1 for 12$ which is what I paid and what I had received in tokens/points. I'm extremely upset that I have an extra charge on here from that location and I would like it taken care of immediately. The other two things that happened I don't really care about but with those and now seeing a charge I did not make is a big problem and I will never step foot in a Dave and Busters again. Please credit my debit/credit card back the 14$ charge I did not make. My name is Patrick C Flaherty I was in this location on 08/17/2017

Dave & Buster’s bad service

I attened the Dave and busters at Tempe market place 8/6/17 at 7:00pm sever bryana was very rude to us and she never came to take our order we had to find another hostess to take our food order when she seen that the other girl took our order she got mad and we never been to this place before so she threw our game cards on the table and walked away I then talked to a manager and he said he would talk to her over all was the worst experience and I will never go to Dave n busters again

Dave & Buster’s service

I went there last night saturday july 29th. We got there at 9:00 and played games till 11, we went to go eat and the host had told us an hour wait and we were going to wait. But then she said we won't be able to get seated bc they close at 12... But online it said 2:00. And we were in the building before 2. I was so upset that we "couldn't"get seated. If I knew I "couldn't"get seated I would of never played games. I never complain about anything but this was crazy that she didn't want to bc it was an hour wait. And a server walked by and had said right infront of me and my bf I don't want to be seated. So I knew a table was open after he had said that bc i'm a server as well. I'm sorry about this complaint, I just was very upset. Thank you. - schuyler

Dave & Buster’s a waiter at the dave buster name steve

Last friday evening around 7pm me an my husband was at the bar I had payed for my drinks an later ask the waiter can I order another apple martini an said thank you out of no where he said tips an courtesy don't pay my bills an walked off so my husband ask the other waiter where the li big head man went an he said I am going to get the manager next thing I know the police to my right an the lady manager standing in front of use so we explain to her what happen an she understood an said he was wrong but he still was up there working like nothing happen this was my first an last time ever going here I just wanted to take my kids out to enjoy an have some drinks but I will never go back to a dave buster in my life and by the way this was in marietta georgia

Dave & Buster’s the prices

I was at the Dave and busters for the fist and last time in Orland Park, Il yesterday 07/19/2017. Your pricing is absolutely appalling. I now refer to you as Dave & Bust-your-wallet. The prices that you charge and have so little to offer. The surcharge I was charged to purchase two cards it totally unreasonable.

My experience was one that I will point out to as many as possible to avoid Dave & Bust-yer-wallets. I will never return.

Dave & Buster’s unethical behavior

On 09/16/2017 my husband and myself were patrons at the Dave & Busters facility located at 8986 International Drive Orlando, FL 32819. I arrived at approximately 12:30 pm and purchased $100 worth of tokens on our card for games we then decided for the first time ever to dine in the kitchen, worst decision I've ever made; neither of us were greeted after walking around like lost dogs, we sat down thinking it was self service for 25 minutes while servers walked around us as if we were non existent, when we finally got up and found a server and asked if we could sit to the left of the room he stated yes, just go sit over there. We walked to the other dining area and were stopped quickly and told we cannot sit at the area unless we see the attendant. We walked over to the attendant waited about 5 minutes before we had to actually grab someones attention because we obviously were invisible and we were told we could not sit in the area because it was closed at the time and we had to sit in the are we ORIGINALLY came from! Ridiculous. We sat there for 15 minutes again before we had to get ANOTHER servers attention and ask her if we could be helped. She stated unfortunately the kitchen was closed and we had to leave. Frustrated and upset, we gathered our things and began to leave the facility until we heard over the intercom "THIS IS THE LAST CALL FOR THE KITCHEN, THE KITCHEN WILL BE CLOSING IN 45 MINUTES!" We immediately walked to the front counter where we purchased our tokens and asked why were we told to leave & that the kitchen was closed, if the kitchen isnt closed and whoever just made the announcement? The representative pointed us to whom I assume is the manager who brought us to someone else, had us seated and Patricia came to take our orders. After almost 40-45 minutes of playing ring around the rosie with Dave And Busters employees. After a $60 tab, we left at approximately 10 minutes to closing, tipped your employee and paid the bill. After traveling an hour back home, we realized our phone was missing. I called the phone approximately 5x as we searched for it, no answer. I then traced the phone via Find My Iphone which is a built in app processed by Apple, the phones manufacturer which pinpoints the exact cordinates and location to the iphone and it located the phone at Dave And Busters then walking out of Dave And Busters, I called the phone AGAIN and no answer still although I see the Find My Iphone locator slowly moving away from Dave And Busters. At that point, I knew someone stole the phone and soon they would notice we were trying to locate it! 10:00 am I called Dave And Busters on 06/17/2017 and spoke with a representative who asked me to describe the phone to the tea in which I did and she stated the phone was there BUT it was dead and we would need to bring a charger. I described in depth the scratches on the phone, it was shiny black iphone 7 with a double camera hole on the back etc. She confirmed it was there, I drove an hour to get the phone and was told at first they could not find it. 5 minutes later an old grey dull iphone 5s was pulled from a basket and I informed the GENERAL MANAGER, who is a piss poor excuse for a manager that that was not the phone I described and it didnt have any scratches at all. He stated "Ma'am this is a public place, I cant do anything about employees stealing a phone." Like I mentioned again piss poor excuse for a general manager. I am going to file a police report in hopes that the server Patricia is arrested for grand theft of a 1, 000 phone and I will forever tell everyone about my experience at Dave And Busters and will never suggest this location to be a patron of to anyone! Even the corporate is horrible, Nicole who is in the corporate office for customer relations has been playing phone tag with me since the incident happened and on 06/22/2017 I began speaking with her and she said "Okay ..." and hung up on me. I try to reach her at least 4x a day and always forwarded to her voicemail. Just piss poor customer service overall; no one offered any empathy, to run back the cameras, NOTHING and I had to come out of pocket $200 for a brand new iphone 7 in addition to the money I spent at Dave And Busters.

Dave & Buster’s unauthorized debit charge

On June 3rd 2017 I met some friends @ Dave & Busters. We decided to bowl 1 game. While bowling the waiter Danny asked us if we wanted drinks. There were four people and instead of asking us how the payment would be he just put two people to a ticket. Not the way we wanted it but we worked it out among ourselves. My ticket came to $22.70. When I started to sign the ticket I saw my card was ran for $923.68. I was like.. what the hell? I go back to the waiter Danny & he laughs it off saying he would back it out & I would never see the charge. OK, I accept this. As we are seated I decided to check my card info. And, low & behold the $923.68 charge was there. I immediately go & speak with a manager (Fed Dumas). I show him my receipt for $22.70 & my online bank info where the $923.68 was debited. He ask me if I used a debit card & after I confirm it was the first words out of his mouth is "since it's a debit card there's nothing I can do." At this point, I walk off. I go back to the table HIGHLY upset. I ask the waitress for the number to the corporate office and proceed to explain to her why it's needed. The manager finally comes to the table after about 20 min we had gotten our appetizer. He tells me that they will not process the charge (umm duh). And it should fall off within 3 to 5 bus days. Also I was given the number to corporate. I called the provided number & no response on Monday so Tuesday I call again in the morning. By afternoon, I go online & learn the number I was given an after hours voicemail inbox. So I call the corporate number for guest relations and is transferred to yet another voicemail. I have left messages for Kristen Stouffer who was covering for Nicole Primus on multiple occasions. I have left several messages for Nicole Primus who's the guest relations representative. I HAVE NOT GOTTEN A CALLBACK FROM ANYONE!

Dave & Buster’s party / event cancellation policy

Had to cancel our event at D&B 6 days out and the cancellation policy is brutal. Party was for 25 people at $40.00 per person and you don’t get any money back. I mean I understand some penalty, but they didn’t have to pay for the food or servers or the game cards…. Things sometimes don’t work out as planned so schedule your event somewhere with a better cancellation policy.

This person seems to just be stating an opinion that their terms are "brutal. " Most establishments have a 48 hour policy or somewhere in that neighborhood. Dave & Buster's will lose business if people are afraid to book a party because of this( in MY opinion).
Dave & Buster's has NO problem taking your money when they break their own terms and ruin a planned function though by the way. Even when the customer is EXTREMELY CLEAR!

Dave & Buster’s no customer service - terry the mean manager

We asked my son what he wanted to do on his birthday and he said he wanted to have his party at Dave and Busters. We requested a table to eat and we're told 1 hour 40 minutes. Waited about 40 minutes and got a table. 20 minutes go by and no one greets us. We are a table of 17 so you couldn't miss us. After asking 2 more times over another 20 minutes - manager Terry comes over to our table and says he sorry. I asked him to take our order and he said he couldn't because he had so many customers in a 64, 000 square foot facility. He said if I didn't like it, go to Midway and started to walk away. I said to him if he was going to treat customers that way he probably wouldn't have a job for long. He immediately told me I had to leave and called security. We were walked for waiting too long and expressing our disappointment. I did not yell, curse or threaten. I have been a dish washer, prep cook, line cook, waiter, practical trainer and never have I ever been talked to like Terry talked to me let alone in front of my entire family. I am small business owner for 20 years and I brought 17 people to your establishment and now none of them want to ever return. My son and his friends all think Terry was mean and now do not like Dave and Busters. I have read the other reviews of this location and it's sad it's gone on this long.

Dave & Buster’s service

On Saturday 9/26/15 four of us stopped by for a beer before our 3:30 tour of the opry. We had an hour to kill. It was not crowded and we asked to sit where we could watch the college football games. The host said to sit anywhere, we walked past three servers at their station and sat. Then one of them came and told us we had to be seated, we went back to the host and he took us to the table we just left, past the same three servers. After about ten minutes one came over and we asked for beers and told him we had a 3:30 tour next door. We politely declined food. We waited thirty minutes for our beers. Dave & Buster’s slow service, overpriced poor quality food

This was the worst dining experience I have had in many years! This place was Dirty, Overcrowded and the food was Overpriced and of Poor Quality. We waited 10 minutes to be seated, then 35 minutes for our food to come after ordering, and finally were served cold, soggy fries and dried out, bland burgers that had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. I spoke to the Manager who told us she would "look into the delay" but we never saw her again until she turned and walked away from us as we were leaving.
Dave & Buster's advertises a "Fun and Exciting" experience yet shuffles people in like Cattle and charges high prices for Slow service and Poor Quality food through Poorly Managed establishments. My Family and I had a very dissatisfied experience and will never patronize a Dave & Buster's establishment in any city in the future.

Dave & Buster’s dirty, poor service

Dave and Busters has a really cool building, but it's unfortunate that it's being mis-managed. We dined there last night and the meal, though pricey was okay. Service and cleanliness however are a huge problem. See the attached photos I took last night. Employees just stood around in the filth. One played on her cellphone for several minutes before disappearing altogether and a man (maybe a manager) finally appeared and said I have no idea where she went... but what do you want? Um, to cash in my tickets I just spent $100 playing on your machines and another $100 on food and I am standing in filth. Who is managing this place and my biggest concern is what does the kitchen look like? I can't upload photos because they are too large and I don't know how to make them smaller ...i can't get ahold of anyone at dave and busters to send them to either because they won't provide an email address! Just gone from bad to worse.

Dave & Buster’s poor service/food

DO NOT go to Dave & Buster's at Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach, VA with any intention of having a good meal. We were told to sit where we pleased and when we chose a table we were then approached by someone else who said we could not sit in that section unless we were playing pool. The entire section was empty so it was not like we were in the way of any pool playing. We found our way to another seating area where a group of employees were hanging around and we were once again told to go sit in another section. We asked to sit in a booth and were told we could have a half booth (for 4 people). Eventually we were seated in a full booth. Two of us ordered steak well done and it was served pink. One Steak was sent back three different times because it was still pink. They brought the wrong side dish for another entree three different times and then tried to say what was originally ordered wasn't even on the menu. The appetizer plates were dirty and had food stuck to them. The food was overall cold and looked like it had been sitting around for hours. The employees were not apologetic but were rather detached and uninterested in our dissatisfaction. After speaking with the manager, the waiter came back and asked sarcastically, "Did you get what you wanted?" The manager tried to appease us by offering free game credits to the arcade instead of offering to take the uneaten items off the bill. We declined the free games because we don't ever plan on going back there again.

Dave & Buster’s tickets lost

I wanted others to know about the problem I had at Dave and Busters. I cashed in 6500 tickets with my young daughters. I know it was 6500 because I won 1000 on the big spinning wheel 4 times plus we won a lot on other tickets and couldn’t carry any more. We cashed them in and I gave one of my cards and they said “you have 6500 tickets”. I am rounding off. We went back out and got another 4200 tickets and then had to leave so we cashed those in. I asked them to add up all cards as we still had 600 or so from our previous visit and the guy said you have only 650 total. I told him that’s not possible so he checked again and said “sorry, 650, but I can call my manager”. The manager said “no problem, we’ll sort it out”. 20 minutes later he came back saying, “I don’t see the 6500″ your talking about. I explained everything in detail again. He said “don’t worry, we’ll sort it out, give me another 4-5 minutes”. They kids had finished picking out 5000 tickets each of prizes which was likely worth about $8 each tops. Mind you, I put $165 on the cards at the start of the evening. Finally, 25 minutes later the manager came back and said, “we just can’t seem to find the tickets on any of your cards and there’s nothing I can do”. I was so mad that they wasted almost an hour of our time and then still did nothing. Either the card was bad or the guy at the register scanned his own card to get the points. I had to tell my kids to put 3000 tickets of each back. They were so deflated and just couldn’t understand what happened. Nor could I. A day or two later I decided to call the corporate office as I was still livid over the whole thing. I left a message. Ashley, who is in charge of their consumer complaints, called me back and said she would look in to it. We went through the card number and I must have spent at least 30 minutes on the phone with her. She said she would sort it out and get back as soon as she could. Meanwhile my daughters have continued to ask me what happen and if they have sorted it out and I told them “not yet, still waiting for a call back”. Finally, Ashley just called me back and said “we’ve gone through those card number and unfortunately we can’t figure out what happened with the tickets as they were never on there”. Oh my god. Are you kidding me! Yes, no kidding, they are not on there. You have checked them 4 times. What did you think, that on the 4th time they would magically show up? I can’t waste another second with them so I hung up on her. It seems not more clearly than ever that one of their employee’s is scamming tickets and likely selling the cards to people. Hey, why not, it seems that they are completely protected by Dave and Busters. I do hope they continue to do it so that more and more people get mad and boycott Dave and Busters. I for one will never go back. I am quite well off so I don’t need their cheap prizes, I only spent this much time on principle and now I felt others should know before they sink a ton of money in to Dave and Busters as I have done over the past 10 years. I’ve likely spent $1500+ and walked out with probably a total of $100 worth of prizes. Ok, fair enough, there is the entertainment value but to now be treated like this, after all I have spent? It’s a horrible way to do business.

Dave & Buster’s bad attitude/poor customer support

Lost my card with approximately 8000 tickets on it.New card I was issued had no tickets on it.Was told if I could find an offer with my old card number
could replace card I paid for and gave me with card

Sure I would like my points back .The prizes
are a big part of thier advertising.More important to
me is the attitude of employees who are supposed
to be working for an entertainment company espicially one who does so for Keike(kids as well)
The computer screen says no prizes for the kids
Next.The computer screen is not your customer.
With no customer support and an attitude that we
do not have to explain are program you have to find the parts that contradict are web page advertising on your own this company is just one lawsuit or accounting irregularity away from disaster.

Dave and Busters is not intended for kids. Alcohol is a big part of their business. Also, why are you blaming them when it is your fault that you lost the card?

Dave & Buster’s misleading information / poor customer service

Arrived at Restaurant at 7:00 pm and placed our names on the waiting list for a dinner table. At this time we were told the wait would be approximately 35-45 minutes and were given a pager to tell us when our table became available.

After waiting 45 minutes, we went back to check on the remaining wait time and were told that it would be in excess of another hour (at that time we were told the waiting times for people just arriving were about 2 hours). When I questioned this, and told them we were told 35-45 minutes when we arrived 45 minutes ago, we were told that the hostess "should not have told you that--We are not supposed to give anything other than an approximate wait time and currently, that would be two hours".

We indicated that we would not have stayed and waited if we had been told it would be a two hour wait when we arrived and that the misleading information we received led us to wait unreasonably. The person that we made this complaint to was not at all contrite and seemed to think that since the hostess that "erroneously" told us 45 minutes making an error should be explanation enough for our wasted time...

I am NOT complaining about the fact that there seemed to be a two hour wait for a table at this establishment, I AM complaining that the people "greeting" customers didn't show ANY consideration or a willingness to make amends for an error that the business clearly made.

Further, if the business has a policy of NOT telling customers anything other than a vague estimate (that could be wrong), I think other consumers should know this before they encounter the problem themselves.

We went to D&B with the kids because we received Free $20 with $20 purchase coupons. The kids also had gift cards they wanted to cash in so we decided on a family evening. We arrived and they accepted my son's coupon but when my daughter presented hers we were told "only 1 coupon per customer". Duh, I told the cashier that each one of us is a customer. She then proceeded to tell me that the coupon was not valid because my son used it. I showed her the text of the coupon and it did not specify any restrictions. I also mentioned that this is considered consumer fraud. A policeman was there and stood behind us, sensing we were going to make a scene. We never were treated this way at D&B before. A phone call to the company's headquarters was not returned. A complaint and possible lawsuit will be filed against the company.
