Data Depot wrong toner sent

They don't answer phones, do not reply to any emails, The toner I received was a generic toner and will not work for us. I can't get them to answer a phone so I can return them for credit. Horrible Company at best
I ordered on 10/10/17, received the wrong toner and want to return it but as of today 10/27/2017 they have not answered my calls or returned them.

Data Depot Waste of money and time!

I should have listened to other complaints before falling for this trap. I, too, spent around $300 for a list and their email marketing software. Like others before me, I sent over 230, 000 emails, have had less than 1, 000 opened, but have had over 150, 000 returned to my Outlook inbox because the addresses were undeliverable. I can't give an exact number here because they're still coming! Needless to say, I haven't been able to use my email for the past few days because my machine is completely locked up downloading these returned messages. Please, please, don't fall for this. I am a small business owner, myself, with a very limited budget. I could have used that money for other forms of marketing with a much higher ROI.

Data Depot Stay away from these crooks

First RED flag: After you sign up they want you to send them copy of your drivers license and credit card to complete transaction. Second flag: Calls are only answered on sales line (101) the other two line (102(for tech support & 103(accounting)) you must communicate by email. Third flag: the promises on the website is totally different from what you are told once you pay your money. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. Unfortunately I paid them$584 and all I received is an email list that is supposed to be current and updated monthly. I attempted to send it out the very next day with the service they sold me, their bulk email system and I’m still waiting for it to go out. Who knows how many of the emails are even valid. From other consumer complaints about this company, the list is outdated. BEWARE OF DATA DEPOT.

Data Depot THEY STEAL AND LIE ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS

Data Depot sold us a package of Email "leads". These were all outdated emails that were deleted over 4 years ago and absolute junk. Data Depot didnt provide even close to what they claim to offer online. I called Data Depot online and there is no tech support. I emailed Data Depot, no reply. Finally I got through to Data Depot's new business rep to explain my situation. The guy was out right rude, condescending and laughed at me when I asked for a refund. This is a perfect example of why you need to research reviews about companies before you use them. I found hundreds of complaints about data depot, they are garbage and I wouldnt mind if someone paid them a visit! He bragged that they were so big they didn't care if there were so many complaints about their company... it thats the &*!# this loser believes then he's in for a rude awakening when someone REALLY calls him out on his scams!

Data Depot JUNK E-mail List and customer service

They took 2 weeks to send me the e-mail list I specifically asked for. When I rec'd it, it was NOT what I ordered. I plan events for metro detroit, and an e-mail list with all of the United States on it...will NOT do me any good. I sent compliant e-mails---no response. I called backed and requested new list-NOTHING yet. After I was hung up on...Nothing. Luckily I only wasted $89 for my list...DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. IT IS A SCAM!
There are only two people that answer the phone...they are both RUDE!

Ours had a wonderful experience with them. They sell you data cheaper than the market price and the lists are quite up to date.

Data Depot Beware

The vendor requires full payment in advance and requires the prospective customer to sign a lengthy and very strict contract, providing no recourse for failure to deliver. Then, the vendor will make verbal promises to suit customer needs, fail to deliver and then provide little or no remedy.

I spoke on the phone a number of times with the vendor beginning 14 September 2009 regarding my request for the vendor to perform a mass emailing of my text to 44.2 million email address from their database, with a strict deadline for completion on 27 September 2009. They stated that this could be done - actually within 24-48 hours of the start of emailing. Emailing did start on 18 September 2009 and by the end of 27 September 2009, the deadline, only 16.9 million of the 44.2 million emails had been sent.

The vendor charged me, in advance, $4550 for this service. However, they delivered only 38% of the required emails. I have disputed the $4550 charge through my credit card bank and, after many months of discussion, the vendor has agreed that they failed to deliver as promised and has agreed to accept that the charge be reduced 22% from $4550 to $3570.

How silly!
It is impossible to send emails to 45 million people in 10 days? And you believed their story of sending the email in just 24 hours? Your story is intriguing but fake.

Data Depot Didn't get what I paid for

I paid for some leads and received a whole lot of duplicates and a lot of the emails were similar to [protected]@whatever.com and [protected]@whatever.com. I also bought their software to send out the emails which didn't work. Also they have no customer support; just a recording that sends you to a FAQ page that doesn't help at all. I heard that Mark Cuban owns the company but that is unconfirmed.

Our company purchased a list from this company called Data Depot in St Petersberg Florida. They look professional but they are far from that. Their site advertises that the leads are new and only a month old at the worst; well, they not only are old, but most of the phone numbers didn't exist or were fax numbers or disconnected...etc I will be challenging...

If you have been ripped off by DataDepot.biz, contact me and become part of the group that is working to force them to be accountable. If enough of us join forces, we may be able to cumulatively make our case financially viable enough for an attorney to pursue them with a multi-plaintiff lawsuit.

Together we can make a difference and deliver to DataDepot.biz what they deserve.

Thanks.

If everyone who has had problems with datadepot.biz would file complaints with State of Florida Attorney General's office and the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center, there would be a better chance of action being taken against datadepot.biz.

I encourage everyone to file complaints today. Start at https://complaint.ic3.gov/update/Default.aspx

Help to stop this company before they have the opportunity to rip off more peopl!

Several months ago, I purchased a mailing list from Data Depot - big mistake as it turned out - they just took my money and never provided the promised information. Their website listed the data elements they promised and it appeared to be just what I needed. Once I received the mailing list, I found that they had not included the City - certainly an...

Data Depot WORTHLESS CRAP

This company is nothing but a FRAUD. I paid $475 for a list, the section that I need had roughly 400, 000 contacts. After all the duplicates and multiple listing for company's were removed, I had only about 8, 000 which is 2% that may work. I called and talked to Scott who by the way answers every line. Wether it be sales or support. The accounting mailbox was full. I told him my problem and he said he would process a refund and about 3 seconds later he said it was denied. I said how can you know that already. He said all sales are final. I sent them 47 emails over several days and had no response from any of them, when I told him this he said I see that you sent 6 messages, my point was that NO ONE called me or ever intended to call me back. I think if you use there system they obvioiulsy fix the numbers so it looks better than the actuals. He said that maybe my email was black listed, I assured him it was not and that I have sent plently of emails in the past with no problem. I tried sending just 2, 000 about 100-200 at a time and I've had over 700 rejected and there still coming in. WHAT A JOKE! Don't waste you time or $$. When you call ask to speak with someone other than Scott - I did talk to a Vanessa once but never heard from her again. I guess their taking shifts answering the phone in their one bedroom apartment.

This monthly transaction was canceled on July 10th 2012. They billed me $100.00 on 8/13/12. I called and spoke to the owner and he said that he would take care of it and refund the amount. A week later it didn't happen, so I called and spoke to him (Chad Black) again and he apologized and said to email him at: chad@datadepot.biz and info@datadepot.biz, so I once again did on 8/29/12. They still haven't refunded the $100.00. After hours of research, I noticed tons of complaints with this company and regret doing business with them.

This company is very sketchy. You can't talk to a live person. They make all of the promises and can't deliver. They sell you an email list that doesn't even work. Most of the emails bounce. Then to top it off - once you contact to cancel, they continue to charge you. I would definitely not use this company.

Data Depot sells low quality lists at a very low cost.
If you are a sophisticated database person, you can get good value from their service.
I can't speak for their e-mailing service, but I have been satisfied with the lists I bought.
Given the price, having to use PERL and vi to hack the datasets was worth it.

Cheap advice: If you do not known what PERL and vi are, you probably should not buy from Data Depot.

Yes, I've also been had but, it is my own fault. Why didn't research a site like this BEFORE I gave them my money? Why didn't I read the REFUND POLICY beforehand? I purchased a list of 14, 014 names and 9, 184 of them were duplicates. I sent out my first batch of emails and 80% bounced back undeliverable. When someone has a policy of NO REFUNDS, as Data Depot does, they are telling you right off the bat that their product is crap and they don't stand behind it. Let the buyer beware.

Email Marketing is generally perceived as a batch and blast tool to achieve marketing goals for almost no cost which is unfortunate. Data Depot, like many other list vendors are typically 'a vendor'. It is up to the marketers how they make best use of email lists.
Personally, I never use email lists for promotional work; instead, I use to promote the company profile/page/groups etc. across social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube etc.

Too many complaints clearly mean the competitors aren't happy with the progress of DataDepot :-)
Most of the complains above are nothing but spam. Some 'try to look smart' Social Media Mangers are trying to play some sort of poor game. I call these people to be 'Reputation Destroyers'
It's the third year we've been taking services from this company and we have got no major problems till date. To put is straight and simple, email marketing is not an easy game. Before you shoot your emails, there are a number of things to keep in mind. Email deliverability should be given the utmost priority; for you can take help online. There are a good few websites you can spend some time at.
Every email list does not work; and you need to be very careful about selecting your list.

Good luck and good day.

This company is nothing but a scam. The email listing provided to us was worthless... We canceled our account on the 1st of November 2010 but they keep on invoicing us $60 a month for an alleged "marketing service" to promote our business. We have run a claim through American Express but it was denied since DataDepot provided a copy of our initial agreement. The fact that we cancelled since doesn't seem to bother American Express...
Would anyone has a solution other than cancelling our American Express account?
Any official organization to contact?

DataDepot has poor quality listings. You will spend weeks to manually remove duplicates and correct spelling errors. You will not get your money back. Stay away. Trust me.
