PayPal ripped me off

So here is what happened: I received a payment of $20 from a friend that I transferred from my Paypal account into my set up checking account. Checked my checking account and found out that the money was removed from my account! Called Paypal and the rep told me it was refunded back to my friend! I NEVER authorized the refund yet the rep told me I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD THE POWER TO DO IT. So Paypal stole from me because HELLO if I would have authorized a refund then WHY did I have it transferred into my bank account? I told the rep that.
Paypal is a THIEF.

PayPal avoid this fraudulent website

Ukashtopaypal.net claimed that they can exchange Ukash vouchers for a paypal balance taking just 10% comission for such service. I entered details of my Ukash voucher on their website but never received paypal money. Ukash voucher wasn’t valid anymore as well so it can be considered as a scam. Avoid this fraudulent website at all costs.

Paypal and ebay Robbed me for more than 10000$. No one wants to talk or resolve. They have no system and policies in place, just ripoff artists.

They are just rip off artists. Avoid these scammers, robbers . Ebay and Paypal are worst things to happen on this globe.

It is platform for selling all illegal, stolen, counterfeit merchandise for which they make more than 15 % in fees and exchange rates.

PayPal interest free scam

Well there are several.
1. Interest free for six (6) months scam.
2. Changing payment received dates by up to two (2) weeks to justify added charges.
3. Clearing interest free balance to rack up interest charges on other balances and to add penalties.
4. Giving faults information on the phone to delay corrections to account till it is to late to be fixed.
For the past 2 months PayPal's Bill Me Latter system has taken all my payments to pay off balances not due till February 2014, and left interest barring charges unpaid to force higher payments and interest.
I found a payment from 10/10/2013 (date paid by my bank and credited by Bill Me Latter) moved to 10/22/2013 so as to fake a penalty on my account and justify loss of interest free promotion by making my payment late.
Stay away from Bill Me Latter. I am filling a Federal Complaint on 10/25/2013 against PayPal and Bill Me Latter.
If you have been a victim of this same credit scam please post in comments.

PayPal wrongful chargeback

I did sell my computer on eBay France, demanded a payment via Paypal, and offered a hand-delivery. The seller notified me by email that his payment was validated by Paypal the following day.
Paypal U.S which handled my account, emailed me the validation and authorization to give away my computer.
The buyer had a profile "0" on eBay, so although it read that I could proceed to the transaction, I called Paypal many times, to make sure the payment was legit. The agents said it was "under review" and that it'd take up to 3 days to be "cleared". I checked my Paypal account later on, and my record indicated that it was « cleared ». The agents insisted I could give my computer to the buyer. I transferred the amount of the sale onto my bank account, and emailed the buyer to let him know, I could either ship the computer or give it to him in person.
I prepared the package sticking a large label with his contact info on it. I took a picture of it to add to the file of the transaction. I always archive elements considered "evidence" if a problem arises.
He said he would come by my place to take it, and asked for my phone number. He called me, came over to get my computer and left happy. I had the buyer sign a paper stating that he received the computer in person.
A few days later, Paypal emailed me a « Chargeback » notification; declaring that the buyer didn't authorize the transaction. This despite the email that the buyer sent me early on to notify me of Paypal's validation. Although I provided the document he signed as he took possession of the computer, and some other documents to Paypal, Paypal responded that since there was no proof of postage I had to reimburse them since they said they had to refund the buyer's credit company. At this time, Paypal has been relentlessly pressuring, and harassing me to pay them back. Since I have no funds on my Paypal account, they threaten me of "collections" and whatnot.
It's interesting to notice that Ebay/Paypal charged me for the commission of the transaction. This proves that they "recognize" that the transaction was properly completed.
As the police and the lawyer I consulted told me: The buyer has the computer, you have your money and there's no grounds for Paypal's case of refund. However Paypal's pressure and threats are unbearable and as I am investigating the company, I’ve come across a plethora of consumer's complaints against Paypal. I'm looking at a class action lawsuit seeking compensation of damage and harm against me and many other consumers. I would be most appreciative for any advice and feedback. I have all the documents at your disposal. (emails, the paper he signed, log of calls etc.)

PayPal ripped off

I ordered an office chair from Viking Ltd and paid using my Capital One credit card through PayPal!
I then received a call and an email from Viking that the payment had been declined by Capital One. So I paid using my Bank Debit card. Only to find that I was debited on my Capital One statement for the transaction. I had been using both PayPal & Capital One for more than 10 years till then.
I tried to contact PayPal but it was impossible to get through to anyone! While Capital One kept fobbing me off saying they will sort it out. A few months later they "SOLD" the "DEBT" to a Debt Collector called FPC.
I checked FPC out and the advice I got on the Internet was to ignore them!
I would really appreciate any advice!

I have a similar story, being ripped off by elcoplanet webhosting and paypal. Elcoplanet promised a webhosting with WHM access and 30 days money back, after my purchase they refused me to provide WHM access and refund also. I started a case in Paypal, which reported a virtual goods are not covered by their buyer agreement! Now I have submitted a report to 2checkout...
And stay away from ELCOPLANET webhosting, they are liars!

PayPal scam site

HYIP company that refuses to pay out profits to customers. PPI freezes account for no reason, and expects customers to pay an unreasonably high fee in order to be paid even small amounts of profits. I was asked to pay $250.00 in order to withdraw $50. They claimed I had an issue that did not exist and refused to acknowledge the documentation that I sent to them to prove that their claims were in error. Extremely poor customer service. Only brief answers that don't even answer the questions being asked. I invested something like $300.00 and earned profits of over $1000. They denied me even a $50 withdrawal. They will not listen! Total runaround and hassle. RIP OFF TOTAL SCAM! RUN FROM THIS SITE AS FAST AS YOU CAN. IN FACT DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO GO THERE.

SCAM! This paypalinvest.com is a scam. They can pay small amounts (maybe not at all) but if you tried $830. Oh no! They won't be paying you a cent. Yes that's right, they scammed me for $830. When I requested to withdraw, $150 only, they can't even pay and instead asked me to send them $300. If I'm not going send the $300 then they won't process the $150 withdrawal. SCAM! Right now, when I visited their site, its suspended like this; http://paypalinvest.com/cgi-sys/suspendedpage.cgi?a=account ... I already filed a dispute with paypal and a complaint with FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center www.ic3.gov

This is a scam. First, I have deposited $4 and invested again as well as the interest. It became $24 so I decided to withdraw an amount if $20. I checked my solidtrustpay but no money was found, so I contact the support. I have received a message from paypalinvest that I need to pay them an amount of $15 to activate my frozen account. And when I pay them $15, that's the time that I will receive my $20... This is really a scam.. I have told my friends that this is a good site...But its not!

PayPal terrible company to deal with, very unprofessional

Terrible company to deal with, very unprofessional ... All they seem to do is keep your money...on the same day I sold something on eBay worth £150 I also got a car loan for £15000 within 10 mins.. PayPal held m money for 16 days, then after providing I'd etc they kept £100 of it for another 16 days, apparently because of possible chargeback and I thought that's what the fees were for, silly me...

PayPal paypal

On 07/13/2012, I received an e-mail from “PayPal” ([protected]@ppmediauslawregulation.com) with the subject line “Please update your PayPal account ( US Laws and Regulations )”. The e-mail read:

Please note: This is a service notification from PayPal regarding important information about your account

Dear PayPal member
We need to confirm some of your account information or collect further information. Please complete this by 15.07.2012. If we don’t receive this information in time,
PayPal is required by law to limit access to your account.
What should I do?
Please follow the link below and login to your account and renew your account information
Why is this required?
US law requires financial services firms like PayPal to confirm the identity of all our customers. This is necessary to provide a safer platform for our users and to help prevent the illegal use of our services.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your assistance in helping us maintain the integrity of the entire PayPal system. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Thank you for using PayPal!
PayPal Support

When I clicked on the link, it took me to http://ppmediauslawregulation.com/paypalupdatedatabaseUSLAWSANDREG/index.html. This page had a link to click to log in and supply the information. That link took me to http://ppmediauslawregulation.com/paypalupdatedatabaseUSLAWSANDREG/webscr2.htm. The webpage didn’t ask me for my PayPal user ID or password, but it did ask for my bank account information, including the routing number and account number. I believe that this is a scam.

PayPal paypal is illegally holding my money - reporting to bbb, california office of the attorney general, and united states federal reserve

Paypal is illegally holding my money - reporting to bbb, california office of the attorney general, and united states federal reserve

They are illegally holding my money for 180 days, I have history of disputes, chargebacks or complaints. I have been denied 'appeal' which I was not even in. I cooperated with paypal in sending them my id, my bank account statement and also provided them with my social security # in an effort to confirm my identity. 3 days later and $50 payment from a friend and my account is limited!

This is a copy of the e-mail I sent to paypal.

"hello,

I understand paypal’s need for holding funds for credit card charge back purposes, however a review of my account history will reveal that there is no charge back rate or disputes what so ever. My account was open for 2 days before you put a limit on it.

There is no charge backs, disputes, or complaints what so ever. This is not going to happen, my attorney has been contacted and he's advised me to send out this e-mail to you one further time before we report you to all the proper agencies listed in this e-mail.

I feel that any reasonable person would conclude that holding my entire balance for 180 days is excessive and may be viewed by some as punitive or as already stated, an unnecessary abuse of power and perhaps even contrary to the laws of some states.

Please be aware that replying with the standard “this is part of the terms of service that you agreed to” will not satisfy my request, or deter me from filing my complaints with the agencies listed above on the morning of wednesday june 27.

It will be up to those agencies to determine if paypal is operating within the law, abusing power, etc. I am simply seeking a resolution that is fair and in the best interest of both parties.

Thank you for your time again in looking into this matter. I appreciate your help greatly."

Paypal is illegally holding my money - reporting to bbb, california office of the attorney general, and united states federal reserve

If paypal is illegally holding your money too lets get together and report them to the bbb, california office of the attorney general, and united states federal reserve

I will be filing complaints with the following agencies on wednesday morning, june 27, 2012 if I am not satisfied with paypal’s response to this request to release my funds and my account:

The california office of the attorney general

http://ag.ca.gov/contact/complaint_form.php?cmplt=CL

The better business bureau:

https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/complaintlink.aspx

Additionally:
The united states federal reserve

http://www.federalreserveconsumerhelp.gov/complaintinfo.cfm?info=1

(I understand that paypal does not operate as a “bank” which is precisely why they may be interested in such complaints.)

All complaints will be filed “online” wednesday morning june 27, 2012 and written copies will also be sent via certified postal mail. If you are being taken advantage of I urge you to do the same! Remember to fight back and show these big corporations they're not invincible to the law!

PayPal deceptive advertizing

I was going to travel internationally and wanted to use my PayPal debit card to withdrawl money while out of the country. When I login to PayPal to do a bank transfer (which takes 3 to 5 days) I also see the option to use MoneyPak indicated as "You can add money to your PayPal account from MoneyPak on the secure Green Dot website" PayPal even goes as far as to indicate that the "Processing Time" is "Instant." I have found all these statements to be false and misleading thus constituting deceptive advertizing. When I attempted to use the MoneyPak to add funds to PayPal I was given a non-descriptive message "Due to technical difficulties we are unable to process your request. Please try again in an hour. We apologize for the inconvenience." I wait an hour, actually it has been exactly 2 hours and 38 minutes since the MoneyPak was purchased and I have tried at least 8 times to use it. When I called their customer service at 8:30 PM they were very unhelpful: they could not give me any explaination as to why I would be recieving errors and told me to wait an hour and try again. I did and it still didn't work and they were closed! For whatever reason their site is able to pull up the card # and see the balance, but I can't actually use it!

So in the end I have spent $804.95, MoneyPak has my money, name, phone number and social security number and I have absolutly nothing to show for it.

I would have NEVER used green dot if paypal didn't recommend them - I feel that's its a total fraud. So I am out money - green dot has my social security number, and I nothing... PayPal paypal withheld my refund!!!

I purchased an item on eBay via my PayPal account. My only funding source that PayPal had on file is my MasterCard credit/debit card. And that was the card from which the funds were withdrawn from for the eBay purchase. However, when I received the item on purchased on eBay -- the product was BOGUS...And I filed a PayPal dispute for a refund. Eventually, PayPal did find in my favor, however, in order to get my money back, I learned that I WAS RESPONSIBLE for paying for the shipping fee in order to send the item back to the seller. In my opinion, if the seller is at fault, he/she should have to cover the expense for having to ship back the faulty item. So, I went to the Post Office and had the package shipped back to the seller & provided PayPal with the tracking number...And once it was confirmed that the seller received the item -- I then was supposed to receive my refund. However, days went by, and I checked my online banking statement, and I did not see the money credited back to my credit/debit account...So after about 9 days when I still didn't see the money refunded back onto my MasterCard account, I then decided I needed to call PayPal and inquire of what's the problem. First, I logged into my PayPal account online, and was surprised to see that my PayPal balance stated that the dollar amount that was supposed to be refunded back to my credit card was actually listed in my PayPal account as my PayPal balance! I did not understand why the money was shown in my PayPal balance, and not on my MasterCard...So, after seeing this, I called PayPal and spoke with some guy. I told him the whole situation of how I was supposed to receive a refund to my MasterCard, and I never received it...And I asked him why the money was listed in my PayPal balance instead...To my dismay, he told me that because I used a debit card, that PayPal will not credit the money back into the debit account! He said that instead of a refund, PayPal issued what they term a "reversal" where they had just posted my money to my PayPal balance! I told him this sounds fishy to me and said that in the past -- whenever I needed a refund, it was refunded back into my MasterCard, in spite of the fact that it just so happened to be a debit card. He then put me on hold and came back and said that on May 21st, PayPal tried to refund my money back to my credit/debit card, but that the credit card company (my bank) DECLINED the refund...I then was STUNNED at this information! I then asked him what was the reason my bank gave PayPal for the Decline, and he said there was no reason given, and then he got quite abrupt with me, and it seemed as though he wanted to dismiss me off the line immediately. So when I got off the phone...I was very frustrated and disturbed by what he had informed me of. Something just didn't sit right with me...

So today, I called my bank today and spoke with the Bank manager and told him everything that was discussed with that PayPal rep the night before. I told him how the rep told me that PayPal tried to refund my money back into my debit card, but that it was declined and for which the bank manager essentially said that did not/would not happen! I was BLOWN away! The PayPal rep LIED to me, and MADE up the WHOLE thing about my credit card company declining that refund! HOW SHADY! So towards the end of the conversation, the bank manager suggested I pull off my debit card OFF of the PayPal site. So after I spoke with him, I decided to call PayPal back, to tell them what I had learned from the Bank manager -- and to also attempt to get my money OUT of my PayPal account. I reached a lady rep this time...And she gave me the same song & dance with regards to why PayPal didn't refund my money back into my MasterCard account...She stated that because my payment came from a debit card, PayPal will not refund my money back to the MasterCard that was used to make the purchase!
I was furious at this point...and FED UP with bogus excuses for why I don't have my money in the proper place where it should---> in my DEBIT ACCOUNT. She insisted that PayPal doesn't refund money that comes from a Debit card (even though it's a MasterCard for which can also be used as a credit card) and that PayPal just posts the money into my PayPal balance instead. So I then asked her -- well how can I get my money back TO ME? She told me they can send me a check...and I said that would work ('cause at this point, I'm at the end of my rope with PayPal) so she walked me through the online process via my PayPal account online...And then I saw on the page before I hit submit - a message stating that PayPal deducts $1.50 for checks that are sent! So, in order to get MY MONEY, I had to agree to let PAYPAL TAKE A PORTION OUT OF IT? WHAT THE HELL? I told her that was ridiculous, yet I agreed to it, 'cause I just wanted to get my funds OUT of PayPal! I told her that I am really upset about all of this...And I told her I will withdraw my MasterCard off of the PayPal site (for which I did do) and soon came the end of that conversation.

The practices going on at PayPal seem unethical and bogus. Oh--and after speaking with the 2nd rep, I went and searched through PayPal's online "Help" pages (regarding how refunds are issued) and discovered where PayPal states the following: "If you paid with your debit card or credit card, your payment is refunded to your debit card or credit card. It may take up to 30 days for the refund to appear on your card statement."...So what on earth are these PayPal representatives talking about that PayPal won't refund my money back to my debit card? I even called back a 3rd time to PayPal after I read that statement on the help section stating that PayPal does issue refunds back to debit cards...And yet when I mentioned that to the representative -- I got nowhere and heard the same exact thing that was told to me by the previous reps. This whole mess definitely warrants a report of PayPal's practices to the Better Business Bureau. Let this be a lesson to ALL for those that are using their debit/credit cards via PayPal!

PayPal signup charge!

I did my research before signing up for paypal, online and asking friends and reading most of the paypal contract and was feeling fairly confident so i did it. My understanding was a dollar maybe two would be charged to me credit card to complete that part of the processes, thought ok whatever. Than right away i get a message from paypal that says this...(keep in mind i have not made any purchases or sold anything, never used the account at all) " PayPal: Payment not completed. Invalid phone number or email. Include area code and please try again. Example: send 34.99 to [protected]" WTF is this all about? First of all, they sent me an email confirmation prior to this text, which i followed thru on and they sent me this to my phone so obliviously they have my phone number right and most importantly i just gave they have my credit card info... what do you bet they figure it all out and charge my account before they respond to my squibble about the bogus charge. I looked on lie and the exact amount 34.99 has been deducted from other peoples credit wards for match.com without their knowledge and the fees are not being refunded because there is a deadline for reversals of three days. Why didnt i find this out sooner! Just wait til my jealous husband finds this on our bill!
Granted i maybe ### prematurely but this is the kind of ### that happens to people all the time. This is why i try to research before i buy.
Any ideas how to get myself out of this mess before its too late?

PayPal don't use them

Don't use them, you will loose your money and time. I bought a package from them to make up to $5000 per month with google adsense. Almost a month passed and I still haven't made a dollar. So better don't use them!

I also bought a package of 2 domains before 3 months. I haven't made any money. It is totally scam business. They will not link your websites to text-link-ads as they promise on their site. The content on the site is duplicate and they have made hundreds of similar sites. So don't use it and loose your money.

PayPal catch-22

I wanted to register for a seminar. To pay with a credit card, I was forced to set up a PayPal account, even though the credit card should have been enough by itself. PayPal took the information and failed to pay the seminar organizer. Since then, PayPal has sent me dozens of messages demanding that I verify the account information etc etc etc. To respond, I am required to use a log-in, which doesn't work. there is supposedly an option for new members who can't log in, but if I do so, I get an e-mail back saying that my e-mail doesn't match their idea of who I am, therefore they will not respond to my attempt to cancel the stupid account!
I hope PayPal is so swamped with non-existent accounts that they have a virtual denial-of-service brought on by their own arrogance and stupidity. Who needs them in the first place? And even if they were a great service, this catch-22 is the worst I have ever encountered. I will avoid buying or doing ANYTHING that requires PayPal, even if it is a product I desperately need.

Paypal Catch-22. My account is over 10 years old, I know longer have the same phone number and of course cannot add a phone number to receive a confirmation text/phone call. To email Paypal I have to log in. Tried calling several times and at the same point, I hear a bunch of Spanish and the line is disconnected.
