Dairy Queen everyday customer

I want to start off by saying, I love dairy queen. However, I am a "valued customer". Meaning I go their at least once a day. If I can. I order a turtle pecan cluster extra pecans, and light on the chocolate. If anyones knows, it is an extra $1.00 for anything extra to be put into your blizzard. So by time I walk out of there, I pay $5.00 + for a medium blizzard. A medium! And on top of that, there never is extra anything in it. Never! It pisses me off. Not only did I pay extra, but I paid an outrageous price as it is.. So, to solve this little problem, I drive any extra couple miles away just to go to one where they actually put extra stuff in the blizzard. Ridiculous isnt it? Just for them to forget once as well.
On my way to work today, I decided to go to the one on thompson & emerson ave. This old corn fed woman was so rude. She didnt speak to me, nor did she give me any pecans.. Oops I take that back there was maybe 5. I am so aggrivated by this. I just want them to please start adding extra stuff. It isnt personally coming out of your pocket like it is mine so please quit being so greedy with the shhhh... Lol

Dairy Queen unclean, unprofessional, uncaring

As an employee of Dairy Queen for almost 2 years (sadly), I've witnessed a great many sights that will ensure I never spend money at this certain Dairy Queen ever again (and possibly every other DQ will be boycotted). within a few months of starting, I was told that I needed to supply my own vinyl gloves in the kitchen, at a cost of roughly $16 a week. over the course of one calander year, I spent over $850 on gloves. So I try to get a form signed so I can get reimbursed with my Taxes (as a work expense), and the owners claim they won't sign it because they are afraid of an audit. just a bit shady? I've also been denied pay raises because the store doesn't make enough money to properly pay its hard-working employees, just enough to send the owner's on several world vacations every year (I've seen what we make in sales on a daily basis, it's not chump change). We are forced to work with utensils and containers that are broken, and stained with foodstuff. The owners treat the food stock in the store as their own personal fridge, allowing not just the owners, but the owner's family members to walk into the back, and handle food without washing their hands. the manager, and the bosses will stand in plain sight of customers -and- employees, chatting and playing with their phones, then going straight to food prep or serving. There's an infestation of mice underneath our outside freezer and cooler, and the traps they have, have been sitting in the same place since before I started 2 years ago. we constantly deal with leaky faucets, leaky pipes, leaky dishwashers, leaky deep fryers, and leaky ice cream machines. Our weekday morning kitchen person refuses to do even basic cleaning while she works (preparing cheeseburgers on bacon grease, and not caring if shredded cheese gets on a burger that was specifically NO CHEESE, are just two examples). I have also been told to use less and less when it comes to all the fixings on burgers. the latest one, was when the district representative was in the store, I was told that our grilled cheese sandwich usually has 3 slices of cheese on it (what I was taught) and that when the district rep is there, do that, but when he's not there, only use two pieces of cheese. first of all, saving 15 ###ing cents?! secondly, that not how Dairy Queen wants it. I was trained to make burgers and chicken to a certain level of quality (the district rep even said I make picturesque burgers, worthy of commercials), and I take pride in what I do. I don't take pride in over-charging the customer, and skimping out on their meal. we also have a manager that seems to think he's god's gift to women, and has had several sexual harassment complaints from the girls that we work with. However, there hasn't been any repercussions for his disgusting acts.
This is just a short list. if you'd like to hear more, I'd be more than happy to go on and on and on about all the crap this certain location puts not only it's staff, but it's customers through.

LeesAnn, to handle food you have to wear gloves. It's a health code. Another health code is the mouse traps, Dairy Queen stores aren't to use them.

What does this guy think? First of all, Why do you need to wear gloves? Do you have some kind of disease or a health related issue? If so, Then you should not be handling food, Damit, You shouldn't even be working at a restaurant, You probably should be working at Penny Pinchers... The owners and managers must be doing everything by the book as they are periodically inspected 3 or 4 times of the year. Talking about mice underneath the OUTSIDE Freezers and Coolers, where are the mice supposed to go? The freezers are located "OUTSIDE" what the hell are you smoking? The mice are NOT in side the Building! Get a fricken life dude, If you don't like working at DQ then go somewhere else. By writing a complaint on here, what satisfaction do you get?
By the way, how is your new job?

Dairy Queen unprofessional manager

So i work at the Bellefonte Dairy queen, My manager is the most unprofessional manager i have ever encountered! She loves to leave snotty messages on my voicemail, blame me for things she has done wrong, and just be absolutely rude to customers. Like a few times i have worked with her she has been on her phone or stuffing her face not even paying attention to the customers, then when i'm the one trying to gain her attention that i need help she exclaims "I'm on the phone, Don't be rude"!? Also too, i've expressed on more than one occasion that i'm allergic to the powder from the gloves and she simply tells me "Well, i don't know what to tell you" I find this absolutely disrespectful and unprofessional. Can anyone PLEASE help me, or tell me how i can report this?

Freak'en funny. 123321

F_ckthis22: this current employment i'm sure is not the employer you plan to retire from, with that said you have two options.
1. Tolerate the stupid manager and learn by not doing what she is doing, 2. get the heck out or start looking for a new job.

being alergic to rubber or the powder is your only real complaint, if you are truely alergic and she doesn't buy the non-powedered kind I have a suggestion for you. If you can e-mail her ask her in an e-mail and if you are blown-off just wear the glove she has provided and if you get sick then you can go to the doctor on Dairy Queens dime. The manager will get into trouble because that will push up their workmans comp. Sounds like crap advice but that is all you have, a manager can be a jerk as long as they don't cross the line. I know you are trying to do the right thing just think your way through to a solution.

Dairy Queen lying/failure to take care of complaint

I ordered a chili and cheese frito hunger buster meal and asked for NO mustard or mayo. The manager that was taking my order stated to me that all that one comes with was chili and does not come with mustard or mayo. I said good. When I get my food it has mustard on the top bun. So I brought it back up there and handed it to the manager and state that there was mustard on it. He didn't say anything to me and turned around to get it fixed. A young lady walks to me at my seat less than 1 min of bringing up there to bring it back to me. I had a suspicion that it wasn't fixed properly because of how quickly they brought it back out. So I looked. No mustard on top so I turned over the patty and there is the remaining mustard on the patty. So I bring it back up there again! The lady that brought it out the second time asked what's wrong and I told them it still has mustard on it. They didn't say anything. I go sit down again. The manager came to me staring at me as he was walking to me and handed the basket to me and I simply said to please wait so I can check it. He interrupted me and said snappy that it was a new sandwich, new basket, and new tater tots. He also said he told the cooks not to waste so thats why they scraped the stuff off instead of making a new one to make me happy. So I looked at it... It was two pieces of bread with a smear or chili... No chili or fritos... And the same patty that had mustard still on it! I then said "I want my money back". He snatched it out from the table and walked to the cash register. When I walked up there, the guy in the back that was I guess cooking said out loud, "doesn't he know it has mustard on it." I at that point just stared at him then looked at the manger that was giving my money back and shook my head in disgrace.

Dairy Queen unfair treatment of employees

As a former employee of this Dairy Queen I have a complaint about the way they treat there employee's. I have never been written up or reprimanded on my performance at work had called in sick and was cut hours and encouraged to seek employment else where. I believe that employers who treat there employees with this type of disrespect can only reap what they sow. I AM HAPPY TO KNOW THAT IT TAKES THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIORE TO BE RICH I GUESS I WILL BE POOR. I BELIEVE YOU SHOULD TREAT PEOPLE LIKE PEOPLE.

Dairy Queen rude behavior

I went through the drive-thru and my order price seemed to be incorrect. I asked and was told it wasn't. The attendant was rude from the start. I told the attendant (middle-aged, grown woman named Deb Hasselmeyer) I really felt it was wrong and did the calculating on the back of the receipt to show how it was off by nearly $5. A conversation about this (rather, a debate) ensued mostly with the attendant just interrupting me and insisting I was wrong and all the reasons why. The attendant showed me that her cash machine receipts didn't itemize, and, ultimately, she asked me to come inside that she was "too busy" for me to "block the line" as "she was really busy". I left my three children in the car and went inside. She continued to make me wait, for probably another ten minutes while she handled other customers. She didn't even address that I was there until I asked when she might be able to help me; she said she "was busy". I told her I had three children in a running car and that our food was getting cold and that I was a customer also. She then came up to me, got in my face and asked if I "had ever worked in fast food"? She was touching my arm. I was astounded and, actually, got into the conversation with her telling her that I had. At this point, several other DQ workers (h.s. age) started harrassing me telling me that I must "have forgotten about the sales tax", etc. Finally she told me she'd re-run it so I could see the itemization. While she was running it, one particular worker told me that "everyone else in the restaurant seemed just fine" and about five staff members were all standing around giving me nasty looks. I asked this worker, who had already told me she was the owner and manager, if she felt it was approriate how her staff was talking to me. She wold not respond. Finally she rang it again... very exageratedly repeating every entry... and, like I knew, it had been rang incorrectly by almost $5. I told them to donate the money to Riley (a charity Indiana DQ's support) and I told them I was astounded by their behavior as I left. Upon my departure, one of the girls came out into the parking lot and gave me the finger. No one ever apologized for the mistake or, more importantly at this point, their behavior. As I drove away I could see most of the workers laughing in the restaurant.

Dairy Queen not acceptable

My nephew entered the store (in his underware) after being seen by the ER here, he was given a coupon for a free ice cream. The cashier was very rude and refused to him. I do understand the policy...I really do. However that does not excuse the way the cashier treated him. After they left my wife decided to go right back in and redeem the coupon. When she when in the cashier was going off (to the customers that were still in there!) that she wouldn't server him and she didn't care who he was. My wife redeemed the coupon and complained to the shift supervisor about it. However my wife dosn't seem to think she took is seriously. I do understand why she refused service...but not how. A 3 year old walks in with burns on his arms, I'm not gonna be rude about it. I may ask them to wait outside and I'll bring it to them...but I'm not gonna refuse service and then turn around and try to rally the customers to my side after they leave. It's cold...mean and just plain inhuman. This happened on 8/23/2010 between 8:00pm and 8:30pm. Theres nothing like making an wounded child cry...

perhaps the staff is just lazy or they gave you the wrong salad. did you ask about the missing ingredients? that is by far the worst case of false advertising from food advertising that i've ever seen. ususally you can expect the actual product to look very different from the picture, as it is their job to make it look better than it is, but that is deplorable!

Dairy Queen - I love dq ice cream but they have gotten so expensive I won't go back

I was astounded at the prices at my local Dairy Queen in Eagan, MN. We ordered supper for 2 people (sandwich, burger, fries, 1 med. ice coffee, 1 med. blizzard) and it was $22! That is as much as going out to a sit-down dinner! Or a year ago it was. The "medium" size blizzard comes in a cup 4 1/2 inches tall. I thought it was the mini-size but was told that...

Dairy Queen poor product poor service

Where has the customer service gone? What ever happened to the customer is always right? I wish I knew but they do not exist at Dairy Queen Jackson Center Pennsylvania! My family and I like to go out to DQ 2-3 time a month, maybe for ice cream maybe for a meal. I drive about 6 miles to get to this particular DQ and expect when I get there that it is not an inconvenience to serve my family. In the last couple of months since opening for the season the service and food has been terrible! A few weeks ago my daughter and her friend each got a chicken wrap and fries. Well lets start with the chicken was cold and there was very little of it. There was also only a couple shreds of lettuce and one tiny spot of dressing. When she called to complain she was told that was too bad but there was nothing they were going to do about it! They would not replace them or even fix the ones the kids had! They would not put any more lettuce on it and give no more sauce. We were basically told oh well deal with it or don't come back! No I ask what kind of customer service is that?! I got a burger there three days ago and basically the same thing hardly any toppings and a spot of condiments. When I asked for a packet of ketchup for the burger the acted like I was wrong and it was a major inconvenience to give it to me. Now today my wife stopped to get a Moolatte and she asked when it was handed out to her if it was mocha because it was very light, she was told it was. When she tasted it, it was bland with no flavor. She asked them to fix it and they very rudely said "I will try to make you a better one" again the customer service is not there! When she got the second one she asked if it was a chocolate milkshake because it was so dark and it wasn't even mixed properly, it had so much mocha it was sickening! One extreme to the next! She asked for her money back and was met with a lot of resistance. In the end she got her money back and drove another 12 miles to Mercer PA DQ and got a perfect one. So bottom line is I will drive the extra 12 miles to Mercer from now on because I have never had a problem there. I just go to Jackson Center because it is closer, Well NO MORE! Besides the prices in Mercer are a lot cheaper, I'm not sure why I guess Corporate does not set the prices, the owner charges what they want. The money I spend in gas to go to Mercer I save in cost of food and EVERYTHING in Mercer has always been great. Product and customer service. Too bad Jackson Center DQ a sorry performance gets you an F- ! So Sad.

Dairy Queen food is low quality + orders are wrong.

We went in on 04/10/2010 at Register 1 at 12:02 PM.

Last week we ordered food and got the wrong order to go, for some reason we got another customer's order and then when they gave us our order they forgot 2 things and we had to wait a very long time to get them finally, making the ice creams we had melt and it was all a big mess.

We decided to give them another try because the Dairy Queen's in our old hometowns (Mt.Vernon, IN and Henderson, KY) were really good.

So we go back today, get another order to go. First off, they didn't put WHIP CREAM on my Moolatte! I have never had to additionally ASK for whip cream, my Moolattes just came with them. Someone told me they were out of whip cream, but I think they lied because another customer came in and ordered a banana split and got whip cream on theirs!? I am a quiet, nice person so I just didn't say anything. Out of whip cream at NOON on a SATURDAY? Yeah right. They just didn't want to remake it for some reason. :( The whip cream is my favorite part.

My husband ordered his burger plain and they slopped it with a bunch of crap. When he told them he wanted it plain, they seemed to have an attitude about it because this was our second complaint about our meal.

ALSO, they made our kids' sundaes first and let them sit there while they cooked my husband's meal and by the time we got everything the kids' sundaes were melted and nasty looking. :(

Extremely disappointed in this Dairy Queen and I WILL be spreading the word for people to not go there. So if the owner happens to see this, it would be great if you could offer me something to change my mind about this place, but you probably don't care which is why your employees suck at their job.

Oh yeah, I'm a "child" because I'm complaining on a COMPLAINTS BOARD! You either work there, or are associated with the place somehow otherwise you would be minding your own business instead of trying to argue with someone over the Internet. Child.

People make mistakes yes, but seriously who wants to throw their money away on garbage like this, people should be warned. I know all Dairy Queens are privately owned, so I think the owner of this one isn't running the business right, or just isn't aware that their employees do such an awful job.

And what the hell are you talking about, what "other" worker have I attacked because of my experience?

But as for the complaint, I agree this Dairy queen is [censor]. They were always rude to me when I went to drive thru and tried to hurry me like I have their entire menu memorized as soon as I pull up. I mean can I have 45 seconds to decide what I want. And then I would literally wait in line for 20+minutes. I stopped going there too.

I eat at store number #4264 this store is located in Pulaski Va. at exit 101, off of interstate 81. The place was dirty and the staff hide in the back laughing and goofing off while people was lined up to order. I ordered a chicken basket and the gravey was just warmed milk. Dairy Queen slow service in a long line

We tried again going to this dairy queen after trying it a few weeks ago. Again we waited in line for over 30 mins then with 9 cars behind us I gave the cashier my debit card and low and behold had to show my drivers license and sign for this $5.11 purchase. Number 1 is this store in the dark ages? Everyone uses a debit card and the purchase is approved or disapproved so why is it necessary to take the time for a signature? I asked the cashier why it was necessary for a signature when you can go to a grocery store and never sign for your purchase unless its over $50 she was very non-customer friendly... No wonder the wait is so long everyone working there was running in circles and not accomplishing getting peoples orders. Very poorly managed!
We have used the dairy queen in omaha and never have had to sign after using our debit card?

I do agree it's a little absurd to have to sign for that purchase. One thing you do have to understand though it Dairy Queen is not Mc Donalds where you get fast low quailty food. Everything is made right when you order it at DQ! I'd take quailty over speed any day=)

Dairy Queen mushroom swiss burger

6/26/09 Ordered a Mushroom Swiss burger Solo. They did ask me, did I want "extra mushrooms?", I said, I want your Mushroom Swiss Burger (solo) as opposed to a meal deal. I got my burger and left, then, and only then did I understand why she apparently asked me if I wanted "extra mushrooms?" The burger was fine, the Swiss cheese was fine, the bn had no dressings except on one side was about a TABLESPOON of what appeared to be a Glop of Campbells Mushroom soup mix, literally a gray glop with a couple of miniture pieces of mushroom! That is apparently their concept of a mushroom swiss burger, no joke. A doggone Gray GLOP of mushroom soup, like what you see in a Campbell's soup can of Mushroom soup. It was gross simpson Avenue in Aberdeen Dairy Queen. I've been to Dairy Queen's before, I've never had this sort of thing occur.

Dairy Queen no hand washing before preparing food

Today may 27 2009 At the DQ (Dairy Queen) in Perth Ontario, Canada.
My guests and I had the unpleasant experience of having a food preparer prepare our hot dogs with out first washing her hands after handling cash at the register. As she was preparing our food we mentioned the non had washing and was curtly ignored. Her attitude went from consumer friendly to consumer acidic and we were given the impression that they did not care and were not concerned with our opinions about personal cleanliness while handling foods. We promptly canceled our orders and went to the Wendy's Restaurant down the road for out treats instead. I will be thinking twice about going to this DQ again.

Aside from personal parts in a public washroom, money is the next dirtiest thing that one can handle in a restaurant and has been tested and found to have fecal matter on it among other things at any given moment. Next to not washing your hands the handling of money is the next biggest culprit for passing germs and disease between people in our society. Furthermore;

I personally do not mind if food preparers at restaurants have touched my food before I have to eat it, as long as they have washed their hands before said preparation of foods begins. This simple process of cleanliness should be second nature to people who handle food for a living, and when it is not it may indeed be a direct reflection of the poor quality of service one can expect from a restaurant that does not train their employees to comply with basic food preparation and health standards. Those little plastic gloves are the worst idea ever in fast food chains. Once an employee puts them on they think they can touch everything with them on. Take notice next time you have a sandwich made how many things are touched when a food preparer is wearing a pair of said gloves. Makes you not want to eat any food anywhere at any time. In my opinion Hand Washing is the best practice, this way at least you can be some what assured that germs and dirt are not being transfer to your food on a regular basis.

I understand that money is really dirty, but i think when you go to a fast food restaurant you have have much lower expectations. At places where food is dirt cheap and the employees get paid minimum wage, i think your expectations are way too high. I work at a fast food restaurant. We are required to wash our hands when we arrive and after using the restroom or dealing with trash but that's it. We constantly go back and forth between taking orders/money and making food. Especially during rushes when we deal with impatient customers, doing this could mean washing hands more than five times in ten minutes, which would take time and make customers angry.

Dairy Queen got sick from undercooked food

I spent and entire day in the bathroom throwing up yesterday after I even sent my food back the 1st time for being under cooked. They got the order wrong to begin with and kept trying to give me an ice cream cone instead ot the oniion rings I ordered. The fries still came out undercooked and I spent the day at work running to bathroom as I am today but just because what ever I got from this food is working it's way through my system. I have vowed never to go into a dairy queen again... Now I know why the one in apollo beach, FL closed..

Dairy Queen bad management & service

What terrible service and image of the great dairy queen and our town is stuck with it.. our other towns within a hour away have great dq's... and service. beaver dam's dq however is terrible.. short hours.. when waiting in line — oh it is 9:pm we are closing sorry..
Or the other nite at 8:30pm — oh sorry we ran out of ice cream. — drove everyone away.. drive up closed often and just very bad representation of the dq's anywhere & we are stuck with it... oh drive 40 minutes to fond du lac and have great little place and personal as well... open until 10:pm + if we are waiting in line - that goes for sun prairie too...

On Aug 4, 2009 I went to our local Dairy Queen store in ROLLA, MO to purchase an ice cake for a birthday. When I got home I served the cake to three other people and we all noticed that the cake tasted funny. I have bought several ice cream cakes before and they have always been delicious. This one just tasted like something I have never tasted before. I then called the store and spoke with the owner MARGO CREMER. I nicely explained to her the taste of the cake, she then preceeded to tell me, "Honey, Ill be the judge of that." I am 46 years old and work in the customer service field and was shocked that the owner and your representive of a DQ was so rude and spoke so childish. I then went to the store with my reiciept and the cake. She then walked passed me and preceded to come back and snatch the cake out of my hands. Took the cake onto the counter in front of several customers and became very upset and told me there was nothing wrong with that cake and it was fine, after she took a very small sample from the side of cake. Margo Cremer was excessively loud, rude, and very uprofessional. Dairy Queen in ROLLA, MO just lost alot of customers due to her poor profeesionalism as a business owner.
