Cymax Stores file cabinet order

Never have I posted a complaint before. This company is the absolute worst. The story is long, but I still have not received my lateral file. Canceled the order and now my account reads "cancellation declined." When I try to track the order, the shipping company does not exist. I cannot find a customer service email or a fax number. The most frustrating experience I have ever had.

DO NOT ORDER FROM CYMAX. YOU WILL EXPERIENCE THE MOST FRUSTRATION YOU CAN IMAGINE.

Cymax Stores order furniture

I ordered furniture a month ago and haven't heard a work my cymax, i checked my credit card and they got paid and i don't have my furniture all calls they go to customer service in india were in the u. S. Not india they don't know about shipping here in the u. S. A. I would never do business with this company again. Now i have to fight with my credit card company they had know business paying cymax or any other company ahead of time. I'm reporting them to the b. B. B.

I want my money back from cymax because they scam me out of my money now the credit card company will have to deal with them.

Don't bother ordering from these incompetent frauds. They must pay a lot of $$ because their on line ads are very enticing but they don't produce. They just take your money. I order 2 nightstands and paid over $800 ... they are very quick to charge your accounts...that was in June. I've called sent emails but no progress. They even stopped putting delivery information on my account. These people should be SHUT DOWN!

Umm I just redid my son's bedroom with a bed, side table, desk etc. from Cymax and everything was great. I had everything in two weeks, except a storage box, which was a few days late. But customer service rep was helpful and kept me updated so no issues there. Charged correctly. Furniture is in perfect condition. Would recommend them.

Ordered a headboard and 1- two drawer nightstand from Cymax. 1st shipment missing parts. Turns out, received the wrong nightstand altogether- not the one I ordered- got one with only one drawer! Will never buy from this company again! Takes to long to get the correct items- will keep what I have- but will order next time somewhere else.

I ordered a baby stroller on March 24. My credit card was billed on March 24. The item was listed as being in stock. Within days, the item was listed as back ordered. This went on through March, April and May. Meanwhile, I paid for the item before it was delivered. Had I known I would be billed before receiving the item, I never would have ordered with this company. I have cancelled my order and am awaiting a reimbursement check.

CYMAX SUCKS.
Ordered bookcase for over $1, 000 and never got it. Many excuses. Over 3 months now. Customer Svcs does not Nasser phones or email and does not have voicemail. Any email messages are not returned or broken promises.
RUN...DO. NOT. ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!

Ordered a futon. Received 2 frames and no mattress. I have called, I have emailed. My guests have come and gone and I NEVER got the mattress. They don't answer my emails, my phone calls, nothing. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

I ordered 3 desks. they shippied 2 and the legs of the third. Have been calling and emailing them for 4 months. Want my money back or the third desktop. Customer service is a joke.

Try to order furniture, after 3 month we never receive the furniture, after long hour on phone, with customer service, we cant get back all ours money without any reason why ...never i will make business again with this kind of ..., stay away from them

Cymax Stores damaged and poor quality

I bought a Hooker hall console online from Cymax using my Visa $698.00
It arrived in late jan 2013.The delivery truck done about $100.00 damage to my yard.
The box had a few holes that I looked through and thought the packing would protect the content.
Instruction were not to refuse delivery if damaged, so after truck left I opened box.
The lower part of console was busted . In a hurry I repackaged the console which took 2 hours to do so
thinking they would take care of the problem.Also the finish was teriable.Seven weeks later it sets on
my porch in the box where they left it .I want Cymax to come and get it and give me a refund.

Cymax Stores awful service

I am very very disappointed with Cymax online furniture store. I ordered a bed frame online which cost me $140. When I placed the order my billing and shipping address did not match hence my order did not go through. They sent me transaction cancelled and pending emails. So, then I thought my transaction has been cancelled and I bought a bed from another company. A few days later without any email confirmation, I got an email that the bed has been shipped. I had already ordred another bed from a different company and they had shipped the bed too. Now I get charged for the bed that I thought was cancelled and on top of that, the bed was shipped in my billing address which is a different state than my shipping address. There is no way I can get hold of the bed any time sooner. I emailed the cymax inquiries a couple of times and they replied to me saying this:

I hope that this email finds you well. Thank you for your reply.
Would you be able to forward the emails you received stating that the order was rejected / pending as we have no record of this. Once we receive the emails we can then progress further with your return.
Thank you for your patience and co-operation in this matter.

Then i emailed them with the emails that I got from cymax about pending trnsactions which are below:

I have been trying to solve this issue and waiting to hear back since past 3 weeks but no luck. I am an international student and $140 is a big deal for me. I feel like I have been scammed.

Hit my credit card a month ago and won't ship item. Told me 3 weeks ago item should ship within 2 weeks. I finally canceled order. I think they just want to use my money interest free with no intention of delivering product. I don't know how long it will take to refund money but I expect delays there too.

Cymax Stores refusal to cancell order

Order placed at 1:00 Eastern time, Cymax opens at 8:00 AM Pacific Time. They were called and I spoke with customer service to cancell. This call was made at 11:20 Eastern time and 20 minutes after they opened. So within 10 hours the call to cancell came in. I was told they would email me within to days with a response.
My email came and I was told the order was place to the manufacturer and that it could not be cancelled. When I originally placed the order they advertise a price match. They did not honor this claim.
Please stay away from this company, they are bad news.

Cymax Stores horrible customer service

We ordered a $1K bed for my daughter on this website promising 7-10 days shipment. After 1 month we still do not have the product! When we call to get a status, there is a 31-38 min wait for customer service (clearly other people are having similar issues). I called my sales rep Jennifer back to complain and she hung up on me! We are calling our credit card company tomorrow to cancel the charge. Buyer beware! Do not purchase from this merchant!

After ordering an Item online they give themselves three weeks to get the item to you. That's their first mistake. It should take no longer 10 business days to receive a product that is supposedly in stock.

Second of all they have no idea what is actually in stock or not. There is no communication between them and their suppliers.

I ordered a large DVD case from them that was never indicated to be backordered or anything. After waiting their rediculous three week time period to receive the product it never came. When I called they checked on it and decided that product was no longer being supplied and the website just hadn't been "updated".

This is something that should have been discovered when the order was processed 2 to 3 weeks ago. It is my belief that they never even did process it or I would have been notified. I spent 3 weeks waiting for somthing that never even had a chance of getting to me.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use this company if you value customer service or business in a timely manner. I just hope my money gets reimbursed sometime this decade.

Cymax Stores worst return policy in the world

I ordered a chair from CYMAX. a recliner. it came while I was gone and a friend let them in. I came back from
vacation and didn't like the chair. nothing wrong with it..it just was uncomfortable. The man i spoke with at cymax had
told me that i could return it if i didn't like it or any thing was wrong with it. YEAH right. you can return it and get approximately 25% of your money back. They charge you a fee for "restocking" a fee for the first shipping. and then you have to pay to have it shipped back to them. I paid $650 for a chair and it would get back about $200. What a rip off!
I would tell anybody...Do NOT buy from cymax!

Cymax Stores false claims/terrible sustomer service

I saw a desk and hutch online at Cymax.com. I called them to check it was in stock and how long would it take to recieve them, he said 2/3 weeks. I also asked what happens if I recieve it damaged. So I hung up and made my order, the site said it ships in 3-5 days. Two days later the site now said backordered, I called them and they said this did not pertain to MY order, that mine was in stock. Two weeks past so I requested a tracking number through the site and recieved an email stating my two product would be mailed on 10-18-12, at which time i would recieve a tracking number.
I had a very uneasy felling because things did not make since so on 10/15/12 I called Cymax and asked for an update on my product the woman said it is back ordered until 11-9-12. I said that's crazy, give me a manager. I spoke with ----------, him confirmed they were back ordered until 11-9-12. I said I found an online site of 79 plus complaints regarding their terrible customer services, late delivery and keep up to half of customer money for good not recieved. I told him I no longer trusted this company. This I was lied to since the beging about my order being in stock, to cancel my order. Told them they had no rights to keep any of my $813.00, or I would take action. I am waiting to see if they refund my money. After reading complaints on Cymax compaints, I don't dought problems a head!

Cymax Stores ordered desk a month ago, never arrived

I ordered a desk for my home office through Bush Furniture, one of their websites. Ten days later, I receive a shipping notification with tracking number. Apparently the desk was damaged and was never delivered to me. I call the company on day #15 to ask about my replacement. They tell me that I should hear something in 2-3 business days. On day #20, I get an automated email about a replacement desk (that also instructs me to save my original product!). On day #29, I email a request for an update. No reply.
Based on what I see online now (wish I would have looked before this), I doubt I'm getting a desk. Time to dispute the charge.

Cymax Stores return problem

Biggest pice of junk ever. Quality Control sucks.
Leg holes drilled off center nothing fits
Customer service but no help.
Request a return this will take 3 to 5 business days. You know the problem issuse me a return nuber and pick it up.
It took 3 weeks to get hopefully wont take that long to return.
Ordered 28 Mar recieved 12 Apr Could not complain until 14th Web complaint not working. Finaly git an answer 24 telling me that they have forwarded my problem to the company that made the table. Still no return It's 4 May know over 30 days They have not answered 1 E-mail an the avarage wait is 40 minutes on the phone

Cymax Stores company refused cancellation

Made order for computer furniture from Cymax. The next day I realized that I had ordered the wrong keyboard for the desk, and had it cancelled. 1 hour later I attempted to cancel the entire order. Didn't get an answer. The next day I got an email saying that part of my order had been shipped even thought I had placed the cancellation. I called the company and was told by them they they would place a return. 3 Days later i received another email that the remainder of my order had shipped. Of course I refused the order and was told that I had to pay shipping charges and restocking fee. Total payment for shipping and restocking $500 + dollars. The company is a rip off artist...I would certainly tell everyone that I come across not to do business with them.

Cymax Stores unacceptable business practices

Sells items that are either not as described or damaged. The customer service 866# is a major waste of time as they generally give you an e-mail address to customer service and tell you you need to open a case via e-mail. They make you send the item back - AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE, for their problem, such as damaged goods or an item not exactly as described. They try and shift blame onto the manufacturer. And some of this stuff is very heavy and costly to have to ship back at your own expense.
They take several weeks to respond to just 1 e-mail, and their e-mail responses and chains are generally long (months upon months) and exhausting.
Based on countless online reviews, this company has a long and consistant history of BAD products and customer service to match.

I resently placed an order with Cymax and entered my billing address as well as sent to address and to my amazement, they sent the merchandise to my old address in which they had in their system. After not receiving the product, I then was informed that it was sent to the old address and that I would have to pay an additional fee to tried and retrieve it back. I disagree with their options and requested a refund. As of now I am not happy with this type of business, because it doesn't appear to be any due process here. My option to pay additional fees isn't an option for me.

Cymax Stores deceptive business practices

I ordered a bed from this online retailer on Sept 10 2011. When placing the order I had the sales person check the inventory so as I did not have a problem getting the merchandise. I was assured there were many in stock at the manufactures warehouse in California and it would be shipped out within a few days. Cymax had the Modus Furniture in stock inventory on their computer. I ordered the bed, they charged my account that day and I have been waiting for the item to arrive. I was given a delivery date of Sept 26-28. On Serpt 29 I called as the ordered showed "in process" on Cymax website, promised a call within 24-48 hours on status. Called back Oct 3 and was told wait another day as I was sure to get the email. Called today 10/5 and was told the item was back ordered until Nov 30th.

They have had my money for the entire time, and will refund me the credit in 3-5 business days. I have paid interest on the amount and requested a small credit of $5.00 for my carrying costs and they said no. This company makes money on charging credit cards, getting the cash when the may well know the item is unavailable. Do not trust them.

Cymax Stores delivery&customer service

On 2/14/2012 I ordered a California King 3" gel mattress topper. I received a confirmation e-mail with a reference number. They said I should receive it by 3/2/2012. It is 3/8/2012 and I have nothing. I attemped to call twice and the recording said that the wait would be over an hour each time I called. Who has time to wait on hold for an hour? The site said that I could check "my account" on line for the status of my order...WRONG! If doesn't even show that I had purchased anything in "my account." I finally located an e-mail address, so I e-mailed and received a response. It indicated that my item had shipped via UPS and gave me a tracking number. I checked with UPS tracking, and it was not any tracking number of theirs. I have since e-mailed twice and have yet to get a response from anyone. I wish I had read all of the complaints before I purchased anything from them. I would have shopped elsewhere. What they are doing to people is absolutely NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS! I hope I am not just "out of luck." If I have to cancel my order, it will probably take an "act of congress" becaues the site says to contact them. I have not been able to do that yet, so I don't hold out any hopes. This lack of customer service is is frustrating and just plain wrong!

Cymax Stores refund policy

Ordered TV Media Console 62x30x19 and refused delivery when it came in huge flat box... I discussed definition of "some assembly required" and it was nothing the flat box I got. Getting a refund is proving frustrating... they have no intention of doing the right thing here and instead offered the following... Cymax uses shady business practices... I feel RIPPED OFF in Carlsbad!

Cymax Stores partial delivery

After waiting more than 2 months past the initial delivery date in Nov. 2011, we finally got our $1400 sofa- or so we thought. The sofa came without the chrome legs & instructions. The cushions have been sitting on our family room floor for a month while Cymax claims that it must confirm with the shipper that the parts weren't delivered. Hello! Why would we call & email if they were delivered! They have kept our money since October while they continue to delay. We asked them to refund us & pick up the couch, but we have received no response. They don't answer the phone- at this point, we are ready to look into our legal options since this company seems to be getting away with fraud.

Cymax Stores defective product material

DO NOT PURCHASE ANY MERCHANDISE FROM CYMAX OR COASTER fine Furniture
I recently purchased a Coaster TV Stands Contemporary TV Console with CONNECT-IT Power Drawer from Cymax. Once I started assembling the console, I noticed upon inserting the nails and screws in the material began to crumble. Once the "so called legs No. 6 were place on with little stability support, I noticed it could barely stand up. I have never, ever brought such a low quality product before. This was my worse experiment. I called Cymax and complained to them what was going on. I was told and I'm inserting Cymax email to me, ----- Original Message -----

My only regret I have is not reading Cymax and Coaster Product Review. That was a NO, NO for me.
Based on reviews from other customers regarding Cymax and Coaster they seen to be in the business of ripping off consumer. Both companies need to be sanctioned or perhaps put out of business for selling defective and poor quality merchandise.

I ordered dining room table on line on 12/06/2011 they gave me hard time about delivery, I live in an apt. they asked could office manager sign off on receipt, I told them no, I want to inspect product, then they said they would see if they could deliver on Sat, finally on 12/14/2011 my husband went to warehouse of shipper in our area picked up table, it had a glass top which had to be taken out of box to fit in our SUV the glass was fine, the other table parts were in a separate box, so later when we opened box for assembly, a stainless steel ring that goes under glass top was bent & discolored, I emailed Cymax from their website described problem. On 12/15/2011 5:29 EST i called to make sure they received email spoke to Rod, of course he said Cymax did not receive email. Rod assured me I would get a replacement part & confirmation email, I have not. called on 12/19/2011 spoke to Gina, she told me I could not receive part, they needed picture, I told her I do not have camera, however, took pic on my cell phone, she said I needed to send pic from phone via email I explained I do not have email on my phone, she said i could not send it to their phone. I asked to speak to supervisor because Rod told me something different, she was very nasty & combative, kept me on hold for over 20 minutes, I was disconnected and no one returned my call they had my number Gina indicated that from initial phone conversation.

On 12/21/2011 I called the wholesaler of the dining table named Steve Silver [protected] ext.1105 spoke to Suzanne who told me she would connect me with Francine who is in charge of Cymax Orders. Francine said I did not need picture for a replacement part and to call Cymax back give them her name & phone number and she would verify she spoke to me and authorize them to send part replacement. I then called Cymax 5:40 EST spoke to Carly, she said, she showed I spoke to Rod on 12/14/2011 & replacement part was on order, I explained she needed to call & verify with manufacturer/wholeseller Steve Silver said she could not asked to speak to supervisor, she put me on hold came back after 10 minutes said her supervisor called Francine at Steve Silver and verified I receive replacement part, Carly was polite and assured me I'd receive email confirming part replacement and it would be goin out to me. Today is 12/31/2011 to date I have not received any email they do have correct email address she did reiterate it back to me. So what do I do just spend $300 something dollars & just live with defective part.

Cymax Stores take order, get no order, but they take the money!!! dont order from this company!!!

I too have never posted anything about a company so bad, but every company I have ordered from has been okay except for this one. CYMAX IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER ORDERED FROM. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. FIND IT SOMEWHERE ELSE. This company is awful. I ordered something on 10/1/2011, still, to this day, 12/28/2011, havent had the order delivered. They took my 600 dollars the day of ordered and still nothing. I tried to cancel twice and each time, they said I couldnt, that it was delivered. And then they said it was an internal processing error and would let me know. Then I would be on hold with the delivery place for a half hour only to be told they never got the piece to be delivered...than another hour on hold for this crap place. I swear to God, please do not order from them! I hope people check this out. AWFUL, FRAUDFUL COMPANY AND I WILL BE FILING CHARGES AND REPORTING TO BBB. HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINES SOON TO SAVE EVERYONE FROM THIS AGONY! :( BAD, BAD, AND WORSE!

Cymax Stores promised delivery date

Because I wanted a specific comfortable computer chair for my father and could not find it elsewhere for delivery before Christmas, I ordered from Cymax, because they promised delivery by 12/23. They appeared to be a legitimate website. AfterwardsI read about the myriad of complaints about Cymas online when I went to find their website so I could contact them.
On 12/22, I called them and they advised that it would not be shipped for 2-3 weeks. When I began to discuss the promised delivery date, they hung up on me. This was after 25 minutes on hold.
I canceled the order and will be disputing this through Paypal. I will NEVER purchase anything from them again!
Also, I have never had a problem in the past with any other online company or delivery.
