I went through a rough divorce and found myself in a mess of debt and was looking for a way to maintain my responsibilities and not file bankruptcy. The company claims they will have all calls and judgements against you stopped immediately and they would handle all communication with my creditors to work out a settlement so that I met my obligations with Peace of Mind. Well the nightmare began soon after signing the paperwork and after sending all the required certified letters with return receipts I was still getting the calls and judgments. The Sheriff came to the house 3x to serve me. What CYDebt does is tell you they are going to work with your creditors but they don't tell you that it does not begin until you pay them 10% or more of the settlement amount which could be $10, 000. Well they were taking almost $900 from my account every single month and finally when I saw they were not doing anything and a couple of creditors telling me they have never been contacted by them well needless to say I stopped the transactions coming from my account and asked them to return almost $6000 that they had taken from me. THey did not return my money which should have gone to my creditors to work out settlements and they never contacted anyone. They make you feel like they are working on it when you do all of their work for them in filling out the needed paperwork and sending letters to each of the creditors but in reality they are a scam. They use a religious theme that they are Christian people trying to help but they are messing with a person's state of mind and roller coaster emotions and making them think that it will be okay. At one point 'Ryan' Cydebt representative stated that they cannot arrest me. Well the Sheriff made it quite clear if I did not show up for court there would be a warrant out for my arrest. Yes Cydebt lied! Do not trust them. Since I had to appear in court I told the judge about trying to pay off my debt through Cydebt and he told me outright that I should seek advice for bankruptcy. Even the lawyer for the creditor told me to file bankruptcy. Stay away from all debt consolidators especially cydebt. I had to file bankruptcy and nearly lost everything I had to the point where I nearly commited suicide thinking it would be better for my husband and child. I am back on my feet again and will never ever trust any company again. I am still out the money and from one report I saw from an ex employee they stated that CYDEBT although started out with good intentions they soon began to take people for all they had. So they rip off people like us and still get tax breaks. What about my 2 year old son who at the time was just born and there were days where I only had enough to fill up my tank $5.00 that would carry me to the next paycheck. I despise this company for what they did. I have emailed and called and they have not replied to me whatsoever. I hope you stop these people from ruining other people's lives as they did mine. Now I have the bankruptcy on my record.
