CVS partially fulfilled order

Partial fulfillment of medication requested on 12/23/2013. After a 48 minute conversation with a CVS representative upon receipt of medications, together we compiled a letter to be sent to a CVS department handling subscriber concerns. After a week, I have yet to hear from and no additional medications were sent.
I am attaching a photo of the prescriptions that were requested. Note the renewal date and information. Three different employees admitted to using a previous prescription and not the one needed. Please advise me of the next steps I need to take as I have contacted my lawyer. All I am requesting is the medication for a 3 month supply at no extra cost to me. Thank you, Michal

CVS pharmacy staff rudeness

Addressing CVS customer complaint:
I have been a long time customer with CVS, mostly in the New York City area where I reside and I also have a resident here in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. When I'm here in Sunny Isles Beach Florida I use CVS pharmarcy store # 3630 which has a delightful and courteous staff which is always pleasant to come to. One early evening heading south on Collins avenue since I was in the area, Surfside, CVS store # 4182, I had my prescriptions with me and I decided to go in and have them filled there. My experience with the employee staff at the pharmarcy was a total shock of how rude, nasty and unbelievable disrespectful toward me for what ever reason was incomprehensible. There were three women working. When I arrive there were no customers waiting for assistance. I stood at the drop off window, one mainly, female in particular named 'Zinga' would not pick her head for one moment to say, ' how can I help you? or I'll be with you shortly'. It was as if I didn't exist standing there for more than 5 minutes she would not, I can assure you, she would not acknowledge my presence until I spoke up. She behaved as a complete snob or put it this way ' I didn't come here to work today.' I had to acknowledge my presence and she nevered spoke a word to me still. I even asked her how long would prescription take. I presented my two prescriptions to her and she still responding with pure arrogance. One of prescription required an authorization from my doctor which I never had a problem with it at CVS store in Sunny Isles Beach #3630. So I told her give the prescription back to me and I'll take it to my neighborhood CVS pharmacy in Sunny Isles beach and she flong it on the table. The other two female behave with the same disposition. When Zinga looked up the prescription on the computer, that would be filled she said it would take 10-15 minutes. Finally she spoke. I told her I would step out and I'll be back. About a half hour or more went by and when I returned to the picked up area, the prescription was not completed. Such bad attitude no simple common courteous. So much arrogance throughout the pharmacy with these women is totally unacceptable. I had to wait another 20 minutes. There was a female customer and myself waiting for pickup. I'm originally from New York City. I can assure you, New Yorkers would never put up with this type of behavier. The verbal attack would become so extreme that the employee would walk off the job. Since this is the south everyone expects one another to behave in a respectful manner. I could not believe in particular, Zinga is working with customers in this manner. She needs to be remove and retrained as well as the others.
CVS pride their business with the best in customer service and satisfaction. They go out their way to advise and help customer needs when it comes to their pharmacy department. I did a research online regarding this store and why not, was I not surprise. The reviews gave much of the same customer's approach at the pharmacy as well. It has a very poor rating that I didn't expect that continues everyday. I 'm bringing this to your attention so you can take the appropiate solutuion in handling this on going behavior at CVS SurfsideFlorida store # 4182. No customer should be treated this way when entering a well known retail.

CVS selling ususable product and not refunding my money

From the redlands mall cvs, i bought a bottle of red wine, a merlot. My first drink was really odd, then i tried it again and unfortunately there was no doubt that it was spoiled and rancid. I have had several bottles of this exact wine purchased from this store and i know it is an excellent wine. That certainly ruined an evening at home after work as i was expecting a good taste from that bottle of wine and ended up pouring at the foul tasting liquid.

I returned the bottle and receipt to the store today to get a refund. The store said it is their policy not to refund alcohol. That is understood, but they sold me an unusable product due to its spoilage. The store manager wanted to argue about whether or not the wine was really rotten or inferring that i just did not like it. There was enough liquid remaining in the bottle to detect the rotten smell or even taste it if necessary, but he did not bother smelling it.

I have been a customer of this store for many years, and they have that knowledge from their invasive tracking program. I find it despicable that an organization at the scale of cvs, $121 billion company, treats their customers so poorly. And it is even more aggravating to having spent my time returning defective merchandise and dealing with an incompetent manager who is so inept that he could not find a solution to help the customer. In essence, they stole my money since their manager did not refund my money!

I followed up with the manufacturer of the wine and cvs customer service.
1) cvs customer service – they were sorry that they stole my money, but it is their manager’s decision and they have decided to keep my money for an unusable product.
2) winery – great people, as my complaint is not with them, but the cvs managers’ ineptness and being a thief.
The winery was glad to either refund my money or replace the wine. I opted for more wine, as it is an excellent wine. The winery mentioned several handing methods of the wine that the cvs shelf stockers could not follow and the wine can spoil.

The winery knows the wine can spoil on the cvs shelf. The cvs manager is obviously inept as he does not know the difference between spoiled wine and a wine that one does not care for. And cvs continues to reinforce that they could care less about their customers.

over the years most of the grocery stores around here quit wanting the actual spoiled milk, cheese, meat etc. and only ask for the receipt. so i have gotten used to not having to return the product, unfortunately, i just bought a bad bottle of wine and felt that i got ripped off not getting to drink it or not geting my money back, . the time it takes to talk to the manager of the cvs and to contact the winery is way too much effort to get a free bottle of wine. there is such a thing as customer loyalty and having shopped at these stores for 15 years. i was not thinking to produce evidence for a court case as you all point out., i just will never forget opening a bottle of rancid wine and pouring it out because it ruined the moment and did not care for it stinking up my ktichen. thanks for your comments

yes, but most food stores around here do NOT want the spoiled food returned to their stores. most of the loyal customers don't make it a habit to try and get their money back fraudulently either.. it was such an unusual experience to buy a bottle of rotten wine, that I simply poured it out without thinking about their return policy oh well, what goes around comes around and am sure they will get their due reward. as noted, there was enough rotten smell in the bottle remaining to whiff and know. i just really was not interested in maintaining a full bottle of rotten wine in the kitchen after tasting it - it was rancid,

I do not agree with you. There are many positive reviews on yelp. I put one about a medical facility I used that misdiagnosed a life threatening condition 3 times! I wish I would have read other reviews before hand! I use yelp for vets, shops and other local stores. Why not have some idea of how other consumers feel about a place or a product before you spend your money on it? This is a complaint board! So why are you posting if you consider everyone to be whiners? Or is it anyone with a different opinion than yours? I have complimented and complained on yelp. I think complaining a doctor misdiagnosing and almost killing you, refusing to take the time to listen to your symptoms, is a legitimate complaint, or is that just whining?

CVS offers an awards card that basically keeps track of your purchases, the frequency of shopping, and offers coupons and discounts on certain items. It does not seem to me to difficult for the manager to check his account and inspect if the customer frequently shops at that CVS. I do think, ethically, and performing excellent customer service skills, the manager should have exchanged the bottle of wine for a new bottle. My family used to use CVS, but after my husband witnessed a pharmacy tech being insulting and rude to an elderly lady for not understanding their new computerized signature, he refused to obtain our scripts there. If other customers witnessed this exchange they might loose customers. Also, now he has written an online complaint, and might have on others, such as yelp. If I am going to use a new business I will look up the store and see the ratings of the place before I use it. I think this should push businesses to hire management that have strong customer service skills, and communication abilities. Which, I think in this tough economy, would be higher in demand. Instead, it seems as if it is a dying art. I have to be extremely ticked off to write a bad review for any business. But, I just choose not to return to a business if they are rude.

"The manger was being a jerk. He should have given the customer a new bottle of wine."

Yeah why not all of us go and buy some wine, and then claim it tasted awful, why don't we all then bring an empty bottle back to the store and when asked where it is say we want a refund because it was so awful that we had to dump it down the sink? That way we get as much free wine as we went. They have no right to question us and go out of business. If this man were telling the truth slynn1 he would have brought the rest of the wine back instead of "dumping it down the sink" Not it is his word against theirs.

The manger was being a jerk. He should have given the customer a new bottle of wine. It is just a case of I am the manager and can do what I want. I hate mangers that act that way, and unfortunately had to work under some of these types of [censored]s. CVS lost a loyal customer over a bottle of wine. How stupid is that manger. Now, there is a complaint on the store for other customers to see, so the store looses credibility and proves to have poor customer service. This was my penis is bigger than yours fights. In the end, the manager thinks he has the bigger manhood, but he discredits his store, looks like a petty jerk, and has nothing better to do than to take his petty need to feel superior out on customers. I guess if his great contribution to life is a manager at CVS, I can understand why he is so dissatisfied with his life he has to act like a nob.

Yeah nice excuse, if it were really that bad you would have returned it and shown them the proof.

Before calling anyone an "idiot" maybe you should learn how to use proper capitalization and learn how to spell the words "and" and "put"? How could you mess them up, they consist of three letters and you learn to spell these words in first grade?

CVS not familiar with coding

Went in for a flu shot and was I in for a rude awakening. Before going to the pharmacy, I contacted my insurance co., UHC to make sure it would be covered at this location and they insured me it would be covered as long as they billed it under my medical. So I go to CVS no thinking it would be an ACT OF CONGRESS to try to get a flu shot, but sure enough, the techs entered my insurance information and I informed them that it had to be filed on medical, they tried and said they could not do it that way and tried to used my prescription card and of course it was denied on the prescription card. I called UHC while they were on the phone with whomever, and the rep. told me that it had to be filed on medical, once again, I tell the CVS reps. what she said and they said it would not go through. I had one of the CVS pharmacist to talk to the UHC rep., which it appeared she was not enthused to talk with her and try to assist me with this problem, she just said they could not do it and the system was not accepting my insurance. Therefore, I went to Walgreens, across the street from CVS and their staff was very helpful and figured it out and I was able to get my flu shot today after 2 hrs. of frustration. Thank you WALGREENS! CVS needs to train their staff!

Update by RoyBoy09

That CVS staff did not know how to enter the information in order for me to get my flu shot, someone should know how to enter the correct information so consumers can get their flu shots. They did not go the extra mile to figure it out, at least Walgreens' staff did figure it out.

Update by RoyBoy09

Totally disagree, my insurer covered the flu shot. The staff at CVS did not know how to enter the information in the computer. Got it done at Walgreens, took a little time, but with their patience and knowledge I was able to get my shot.

CVS manager hires four of supervisor's close friends

One of the supervisors of my store has been a major influence in the hire of FOUR new employees within the past year. Now you may think it's nothing big or just a coincidence, but every one of these new hires have been promoted within days or months just starting the job while people who have been there for years are still in the same position. The issue is that this supervisor had a past relationship with one of the employees, the other employee is the best friend of his ex-girllfriend, while the other two employees are his best friends. This is WAY past unethical and basically, it's a scheme. What can we do? Is it possible to get this supervisor out of the store? This is becoming ridiculous. Like next thing you know, the whole store is going to be filled with his family and friends.

well, your first mistake is posting this on a public forum because if any of them see this, you can count on being fired soon.

If you have an issue with your job, you should deal with it internally and report it to upper management (District Manager )so it can be dealt with properly, not just complain on a website.

As a pharmacist probably what happened is that the pharmacist on duty at that location was too busy changing his or her depends from not being allowed to take a bathroom break or died of low blood sugar from not being able to eat (no scheduled lunch breaks per company policy) and that contributed to your prescriptions not being ready on time. Working 12-14 hour shifts with no meal breaks or barely a bathroom break is difficult. So stop being such a typical entitled American and thank your pharmacist for surviving slave labor type conditions to get your non emergent life-or-death prescriptions that you had to have immediately or your life will end. You always generally have pharmacy options if it is THAT bad or you can call and complain on the receipt survey like everyone else does. Make sure to lie.

I worked approx 40 hours in August 2012 as an overnight supervisors and was not paid. I have been to the store and spoken to several managers and employees over the phone but they have given me the run around and have not resolved my complaint or mailed my check. I received a w2 form which verifies that I was employees but it does not reflect the correct amount for the number of hours worked.

CVS prescription

I have switched from filling my prescriptions at a CVS pharmacy to filling my prescriptions at a Walgreen's pharmacy, because of convenience. When I last filled a prescription at CVS, I was told that I had to fill it 3 months at a time in order for my insurance to cover it. So I called my doctor and got a new prescription for 3 month increments. Then I switched to Walgreens. I was told that my insurance will only cover 1 month increments, so I called and got my doctor to send a new prescription for 1 month increments. Then I was told that I had to "opt-out" of CVS mail order pharmacy service. So I did. Just transferred a second prescription to Walgreens from CVS. Was told that I have to opt-out...again. So I called to opt-out and told them that I want to opt out for ALL future prescriptions, that I will never use the CVS mail order pharmacy (actually, at this point, I'll never use a CVS pharmacy). I was told that I couldn't opt out because Walgreens couldn't fill my prescriptions in 3 month increments. This is the definition of unfair and deceptive business practices. They lie to you, hoping you'll use their pharmacy service. The only reason Walgreens can't fill my prescriptions for 3 months at a time is because CVS Caremark won't allow them to. And then CVS Caremark tells me that I have to opt out every time I have a new prescription at Walgreen's because they can't fill them for 3 month periods.

Pharmacies count in 5s. No way to confuse 30 for 60. The ONLY way you would get only 30 of a 60 is if your insurance will only pay for 30, which would give you a bottle marked with ONE refill.

CVS lost prescription slip

On Thursday, Feb. 7, I drove through the drive-thru pharmacy service window. After waiting 15 minutes, I was allowed to put my prescription slips into their tube that delivers the prescriptions to the pharmacy tech. I told them to fill the prescription from the slip from my orthopaedist and only one of the prescriptions from another slip that had 3 medications on it. Last night, I picked up my medication. The medication that was on the prescription slip from my orthopaedist was not filled. Today, Feb. 9, I called the CVS Pharmacy to report that the medication was missing. The Pharmacy tech could not find the prescription slip. The best she could do was to contact my orthopaedist on Monday.
Losing a prescription slip is unacceptable. When a customer submits their prescriptions to the pharmacy, she trusts that the pharmacy tech is not going to lose the prescription.
The time and money I spent at my orthopaedist's office is pretty much wasted. I do not have the ability to remain calm and patient, as I am a mental health patient. This is causing me to have even MORE stress than I do normally.

CVS pharmacy

Why does CVS Pharmacy never go into the computer and look to see if there are refills or scripts on file for patients. They always send a request to Doctor and the Docs always tell them " look you knuckleheads they have refills!" Is their computer system that bad that they can't see refills! I will never go back to CVS because they like to waste the time of the consumer and the Docs!

Just got the scoop who you really are Ms. Tasha. Interesting...my last response to you. Love you! Mean it!

Ouch ! That hurt Tasha. I was going to ignore that mean girl comment however just to let you know I am a Health care Professional who deals daily with CVS. I take no meds myself and I know your come back will be maybe you should. Also looking at your many comments to other people complaining you sound very angry and perhaps lonely. It would be nice if we could vent without your angry comments.

I am currently perscribed a perscription that requires a daily timed dosage. Due to the incompitance of CVS pharmacy in Buddlake, NJ today I was unable to fill my script. Apparently this pharmacy has a limit as to the number of times I am allowed to refill a very expensive script. Therefore i was forced to go to another CVS pharmacy where I was told that there was NO reason I should have not gotten my perscription. This is total and utter discrimination to a patient being perscribed a narcotic med.I was told that Buddlake pharmacy deleted my perscription completely with 12 pills still left to be filled. I am very responsible and I take ONLY my perscribed dose, I pay out of pocket so I can only fill on payday...I should not be descriminated against because of this. I am embarassed and very angry that I had to deal with this major issue today and the way that this pharmacy treated me. No one should have to go through this mess just to be given what is rightfully theirs. I will never return to this pharmacy again and I plan to take further action on a later date.

my dr's office faxed a RX at 800 pm on fridy night when i showed up and 900 i had to wait for half an hour in line just so i could be told they did not have it, when i asked them to check the fax was told there was no fax and then they realized the fax machine was not even on. when they turned it on my RX printed out and after there negligence they told me i had to wait for an additional 30 mins, , and hour went by before they called my name leaving the pharmacy nearly an hour and a half later. this is not the 1st time i have experienced this, but because its a 24 hour pharmacy i keep using them, when i need an RX filled at odd hours.

Our CVS Pharmacy appears to be overwhelmed with business. Prescriptions are not filled according to automatic refill. You must wait. Wait times vary at this particular location. I have waited anywhere from 10 minutes to one hour, only to be told that my script still wasn't ready. One of the pharmacists is rude to customers and blames corporate for any difficulty the customer might be experiencing. I am taking my business to Clearfield Pharmacy, where the service is excellent.

The overall appearance of the Clearfield Pharmacy is that a tornado just blew through. Some pharmacy clerks are so slow at peak times it is ridiculous. Customer service is number one on my list when choosing where to buy, and sad to say, I must say goodbye to CVS.

Went to CVS to pick up a prescription for my elderly mother that had been called in several days before. Was told that there were no refills remaining, the doctor would have to okay a refill, they needed 72 hours. However, the bottle CLEARLY says that there is one refill remaining and when I checked the records online the record shows one refill remaining.

When I explained that the bottle showed one refill remaining I was told that I must have an old bottle and once again was told that the doctor had been contacted and that their computer showed no refills remaining. The Pharmacy Clerk kept calling me "sweetie" which I found to be rude and condescending. When I tried to explain the simple math to the clerk, she told me she had patient to help.

They refused to check the information on the label or explain why there was a discrepancy. It makes one wonder if they are scamming customers.

Idiots, Left on hold for twenty minutes. Called back, they asnswered and said hold on, waited 5 more minutes. I asked them to transfer a perscription from another pharmacy to them. he said i cant find your insurance information. I told him, I had been there 4 times and last time was two months ago. he found my name and what had been filled but could not find my insurance he asked me to hold on again. waited 10 more minutes and finally i hung up. what a garbage pharmacy.

On Fri. March 4, 2011, my mother, Mrs. BP went to have a prescription filled for a certain diabetic med and the staff in this store was very rude. My mom was treated rudely and I didn't like it. The staff involved was Pharmacy Techs Latosha Rhodes, Sharonda Pittman, and Joshua Herndon. What kind of people is CVS employing? Needless to say, my mom is not getting anything refilled there anymore, what a disappointment. I think that when you are dealing with the public, you should know how to conduct yourself approriately. I never used CVS and now I know why. CVS IS HORRIBLE!

Stephanie Wagner - has to be the most rude pharmacist i have ever had to deal with. I attempted to drop off a prescription when she told me "something was missing" i asked her what was missing and she acted like i wrote the script myself and would attempt to fix it. but in order for me to call the Doctor and tell them the was an issue, one would think i would have the proper info to tell them what the problem was, but thanks to STEPHANIE WAGNER i have no clue what to tell the Doctor... luckily the Pharmacist at KROGER did not see any issue with the prescription and filled it for me.

I was personally made to wait in a line that stretched to the front of the store, after being told my prescription was ready. Within seconds of making it to the front of the line, I was sent back to the end again, as they needed to do "more processing". I waited in the 20-deep line a second time, only to be told *the same thing* upon reaching the front, and was sent to the end of the line *a third time*. I tried to explain what was happening in a nice way, only to be met with blank stares and no help by the staff. At this point I left the store and shall never return. I've been going to this CVS for years; they'll never see my business again!

Dmpiet, if you are a Health Care Professional you already know pharmacies are allowed to call a doctor's office to confirm a refill if they suspect any irregularities. It isn't being lazy - a pharmacist may suspect fraud, or concern that the doctor who wrote the refill may not be aware of other prescriptions the patient is taking.

CVS prescriptions

Pharmacists are rude and impersonal. Be prepared to wait 12-24 hours for a prescription to be filled if they even have the drugs. They have used the excuse the computers are down way too many times.

A week ago I had the Drs. Office call in prescriptions for my fathers meds knowing that he had only a weeks supply left. When my brother went to pick them up he was told that prior authorization was needed. When I called the Pharmacy they claimed that they had faxed the Drs. office the week before, but had never received the authorization. When I spoke with the Drs. office they said they had not received anything. Since I have never had a problem with the Drs. office, but have had other issues with this pharmacy I know that the problem lies with them. There is a lack of follow through regarding medications and an obvious lack of caring from the Pharmacists in this particular CVS. When I watch the ad for CVS showing Pharmacists going the extra mile for their customers I find it ironic and see it as false advertising. I might add as well that when my brother was in the store he saw two elderly customers being turned away without their meds d/t insurance problems. According to their false ad the Pharmacist would have done everything in their power to get whatever they needed. After I spoke with the Drs. office the situation was resolved within three hours. CVS should be paying me for doing their job! It was not my job to check with the Drs. office to see if they had received the fax, CVS should have done that and it should have been done days ago. I am a Nurse and if I did my job the way they do theirs everyone would die! There is a need to follow through and check did they get the fax etc.

Pharmacists main responsibilities are to verify prescriptions, take verbal prescriptions over the phone, and answer pharmaceutical related questions (of course there are other things they have to do, including getting the drive up, answering all other phone calls, making sure everyone else is doing there job, sometimes help technicians to do their job when they get too busy) . Insurance problem is just a small part of a pharmacist job because it is not something the pharmacist can fix at the pharmacist most of the time. Especially when the claim is rejected due to the drug, quality allowed per month, or drug interaction. No there is no magic button they can push to fix everything at the pharmacy. Almost all the time these problems are resolved by contacting the prescriber (doctor's office) and the doctor will contact the insurance company directly because the insurance company almost always do not work with pharmacy for these type of issues.

Prior authorization (PA) problems are very common due to many restrictions your particular insurance plan have in place. They just needed to talk to your doctor before they will consider paying for it. I wish we are like Canada, then no one ever will be "turned away." I don't think "turned away" is the correct term to use here either. Everybody needs to understand that it is their choice of insurance and insurance does not pay for everything blindly, we really need to read the fine prints. Most people do not know their pharmacies do not just set a price to the prescription at the pharmacy, each prescription is actually billed to the insurance by computer and the pharmacy is provided with a price from the insurance company according to the drug, quantity, and day supply. And that only happens when no PA is needed.

I think their are many situations that the patients themselves need to take more responsibilities when it comes to their healthcare. For instance, pharmacists cannot give out free medication every time when there is a patient forgets to get a new prescriptions (first of all that is giving prescription medication without a prescription) when it is the patient's responsibility to contact the doctor or may be an appointment is needed before a new prescription can be given. Communication with your doctor & doctor's office is very important, and it shouldn't become an unpleasant task for your especially they are one phone call away. The pharmacy gets phone calls from doctor's office requesting PA info all the time if for any reason they did not receive the fax, why? Because the patient actually call the doctors themselves to speed things up, which is wonderful. It is physically impossible for a pharmacy to check every single fax by making calls to the doctor's office. If they do, you might need to wait a few hours before any type of prescription can be picked up and no waiting in the pharmacy either because they are tie-up with all the phone calls they have to make.

As far as your particular situation, I think the pharmacy has done almost everything they were supposed to by contacting your doctor because after the MD was contacted everything will be in the MD's office hands (their responsibility to talk to your insurance company directly). However, I think they should have offered to contact your MD by phone after you have notified them they had not received the fax.

It is absolutely NOT a pharmacy's job to call your dr's office to check up on your prior authorization-you are very misled there. We are not responsible for taking care of your insurance issues for you. We submit the claim online and they send us the reject-it is us doing you a favor by even faxing your dr asking them to call your insurance for you so that they can pay for your medication we're trying to fill. We can fill it anytime if you want to pay full price for it-it's you insurance that's refusing to pay for it lady. It is also up to the dr whether or not he wants to call for the prior authorization-he/she doesn't have to. It's YOUR insurance-act like an adult-grow up and take some responsiblility for your own crap-The pharmacy has enough to deal with without being your mother. It's not our job to deal with your insurance problems for you.

CVS bad resolutions

I work for a marketing company as a rep for local cvs stores. When i complained to a district manager at CVS for poor treatment at a particular cvs store where i was mistreated where i felt store employees where being racist and uncooperative towards me... i was told the manager would try to resolve the complaint at store level. After a week went by my company disabled my reporting portal and didnt tell me why and when i tried to contact the company they didnt answer. I was basically fired without any prewarning or even anyone saying anything to me or calling or emailing me as to why.i was fired. I believe my complaint towards the store was why i was fired.

CVS they sell prescription drugs that they buy from foreign countries

cvs is selling prescription drugs they buy in foreign countries. I use zovirax. It came from India. The tube is so bad, I can't squeeze the product out. I should be on Crestor but I had a reaction from 10mg. In the past I've taken 40mg. with no side effects. This 10mg. product came from Belgium. These are 2 examples. I can give you 10. I was told it is illegal for drugstores to buy from foreign countries. I'm going to contact the FDA and everyone else I need to stop this from continuing. Safeway does this with drugs also. What is going on?

CVS mistreatment and favoritism

I've been working at CVS for a little over a year now. I was fully trained in photo, I'm a cashier, and I've gone through two store managers. My last store manager literally did not listen to me at all. I'm a full time student who went to school 4 days a week. He'd schedule me on when I was in class, making me leave class early or skip class just to be at work on time. I sat with him numerous amounts of time to tell him and he said he was sorry and fix it and never did. I would have to talk to my professors and go in on my own time to make up tests and work that i missed from leaving early or not showing up at all.

My new store manager is very odd. She never talks to her employees, she doesn't help out, she leaves early most days and leaves everything up to the shifts to do. The shift manager makes the schedules and helps out more than the manager does. I never call out, I'm never late. One day I really was not feeling good. I was shaking. I was in so much pain and I asked my manager if i could find someone to come in to cover half of my shift would it be okay. she looked at me and said "well i dont know who you can find." and threw a post it note with a new coworkers number at me. I never got to leave early that day and when I was off i went to the hospital.

Currently I'm going to school 2 days a week. I go to school from 7:45am (have multiple breaks throughout the day) but my last class doesn't end until 8:45pm. (i'm a nursing major...) I've asked them multiple times if the day after I have class if i could work a mid and not 7-3 because i am exhausted. I also suffer from insomnia, and have spoken to them about this. I'm lucky if i get 2-3 hours of sleep a night! I am constantly put down for 7-3 shifts.

My mangers also only put the girl workers to open and to ring. The boys who work at my job get favoritisim and never have to open or ring. I've talked to one about it and his answer was "i've been working here for a year, i've done my time ringing. i don't have to anymore." my shift also has said "the only person who doesn't have to ring today is ..." Are you kidding me? I'm lucky that I can get away from the register for 2 minutes. I'm usually chained up there for 8 hours. The least they can do is split it up, it isn't fair to someone to be ringing for 8 hours straight. After a while I can't even see straight!

The shift will schedule you and leave you alone for 6+ hours until a backup is scheduled on. I was on from 9-5. I was ringing the ENTIRE shift. I asked my manager if I could take my break and she looked at me and shrugged and said " I guess if you really want one." I was almost denied a break from her. After I got back from my break, my coworker was in, shouldnt he have been the main cashier? Nope. So I continue to ring and its now 5pm. I'm ready to leave... she comes up to me and says "the girl I scheduled on for 5 isn't coming until 6 i messed up the schedule, can you stay?" and smiles hugely at me. I was EXHAUSTED, denied a break (i took it still, but unless i said something i wasn't going to get one), and had been ringing since 9am.

Should I call ethics or HR? this favoritism crap is getting old.

CVS manager

CVS pharmacy at the Longview location has really stepped up their service in the past few months all employees are very polite and helpful. When I realized I was over charged I went to the front register, this was my big mistake! The manager Mandie Parker at the front of the store is a young female who is very very rude she was standing on a top display decorating for Christmas yelling down at me that I was wrong about pricing on Dr.Pepper..I told her it is tagged at 88 cents, she said No you are wrong over and over, she finally got down and walked over to the Sale Tag and said OH SOMEONE MUST HAVE MOVED THE TAG... Then she said that's just too bad and she would not honor the price, she said I could return it if I didn't want it, . Mind you we are on talking a total of $2 I had 2 bottles. After I said OK and asked for her name she said OK I will honor it this time since its only a few cents. No apologies and still very rude! I will NEVER step front back in this store! I will transfer all my scripts next week.. I will not put up with this kind of disrespect. As a former retail store manager myself, no matter what the complaint you still need to keep it professional!

@Tasha10.. No that's where you are wrong! As a retail Manager of a BIG BOX RETAIL Store I realize wether the customer is right or wrong, you must still show respect when dealing with problems. That's what makes the difference between a GOOD MANAGER and a BAD MANAGER! My income is over 100k per year not my husbands mine! Its from knowing HOW to manage a store! If YOU purchase something priced one thing then paid more I guess you just ROLL OVER and let yourself get screwed! When I approached the mistake I was VERY polite saying ." I THINK I HAVE BEEN OVERCHARGED" Opening the door to fix the problem, I would have walked away if the Manager was polite and said Oh it looks like its been mislabeled! But instead she was like OH WELL THIS IS NOT ON SALE TO BAD FOR YOU! I have never been fired from any job, You sound very jealous of me, , ha ha I bet you work a $8 an hour job at CVS!

I've been a long time customer of cvs. Elated when cvs opened in our neighborhood. Yesterday my daughter and her friends decided to take the community bus for the first time to the smith haven mall. After an afternoon of shopping, took the bus back and decided to go into cvs. As soon as the four of them walked in, the mgr (blond hair, short lady named Bonnie?) demanded for them to check their lil Victoria secret bags in with her. As they walked in further, they all agreed how offended they all felt and decided to get their bags and leave. These kids are honor students, are involved with many community service programs and don't deserve to be treated like some thugs! I have been a customer service director for 25 years and deal with people from all different walks of life and from all over the world. I have heard many complaints about her from my neighbors, who do not shop there anymore because of her rudeness. Please either replace her or give her soft skills training. If no changes occur, I will not shop there and will get the word out in my pat meetings etc.

I thought the CVS here in Plainview Texas was the only one with rude employee's as well as their district manager but looks like it goes on at all the stores. Don't know how they stay in business but here in our town we're a small town and don't have a large number of pharmacies to chose from but I got yelled at by the regional manager and I don't take that from anyone so I'm trying to find out where my next complaint should be sent.

That is not how it went at all. Women should never be in management positions, the only good thing they are for is sex. They should stay in the kitchen and not be working. Yeah I admit I am the one who switched labels, but so what they still have to honor the price. The only reason that she agreed was because yeah I told her if she did not let me have it for the price I would slap her.

Since you were not there it is very clear your opinion is biased even more so than if you were present. Especially since your child is involved. Do you think your daughter would tell you if she was actually intending to shoplift?

"These kids are honor students, are involved with many community service programs and don't deserve to be treated like some thugs!" And this really offends me. People who steal items can look rich or smart or kind. They don't have a certain look. It is better to assume there is risk with everyone than to discriminate based on looks. How was the manager supposed to know your child was an honor student? They didn't do anything wrong and it was in their rights to request that.

I always say this and I'll say it again. I have been asked countless times to check bags and show my receipt, and I have been followed. It has never bothered me, as I have nothing to hide and never will.

I dont like it either when they check your receipt when leaving after you just purchased your goods, how ever working in retail for 20+ years I can understand why this happens. Your point about leaving their bags at the couter for me I would not care because then I wouldn't have to carry them through the store, my only issue is if they take items out of your bag. You can easily say to them I need to verify that everything is in my bag. If they get offended then they too may be up to no good.
However in defence of the business more that 70% of their shrink comes from external theft, so with them keeping shrink down you will spend less money on the goods you buy in the future. That should make you happy, people who steal should be shot in my opinion. And the myth that business' have insurance to cover such loss or shrink is false. Shrink (theft) is passed on in the price you pay for the goods you buy.
Don't be offended just be happy they are trying too keep the prices lower for us customers.

There are many retailers that will not allow customers to take shopping bags, even messanger bags, around their store. It is just common sense. Do you know how easy it is for someone to steal when they have a shopping bag in hand that they can easily stash something into? The policy is there for all customers. Do you know what kind of trouble the manager could get into if she picked and choosed who she asked to leave their bags at the counter?

BTW, the fact that your daughter and friends were offended by this tells me that they were up to no good. I've been asked to leave bags at counters many times and I've never felt "offended" by this because I know they are doing what is necessary to prevent shop lifting. I would hope your daughter and friends, especially since you went out of your way to point out that they are honor students, would be smart enough to know why they were asked to do so. Maybe they were "offended" and left because they knew they weren't going to be able to steal anything.

CVS electronic prescriptions to caremark cvs

I had a doctor send a prescription for Prednesone to CVS Caremark Pharmacy. The pharmacy checked my insurance administrator (CVS Caremark) and rejected the insurance billing. I was provided a rejection notice that stated 70-Product/Service Not Covered- physician -diagnosis required. Now mind you this was sent from a doctor with an EMR system (I know the code was in their system). But, CVS just rejected the insurance payment and didn't really explain why. I needed the medication and paid the out of pocket (a peasly amount). Perhaps that rejectiion code is a tipoff that it may be a drug covered by Medicare B. But as a consumer, how do I know. And, I was told that if it was covered by Medicare B, it would be handled by my signing an additional form. After two days of working with CVS Caremark Plan Administrators handling AT&T retirees, I'm still not clear why the insurance failed (company or Medicare). I know my doctor's system had the Medicare number. I know my doctor's system had the diagnosis code in it. Why wouldn't a company able to process a Medicare B prescription not have a fully functional EMR prescription interface? It makes me believe they have backroom problems with their systems (opinion). I'm still waiting for an answer. One today was maybe the pharmacist should have caught it. Maybe...but if we are all going to electronic records and drug ordering, should they have to when their focus should be on the correct prescription and not billing? I have no faith in the CVS Caremark backroom billing processes or their Administrative efforts. Why? Their processes are utter failures as discussed here. Unfortunately, as a consumer I'm locked into them as they are the plan administrators for AT&T (no real choice). Any company that goes with these guys, in my opinion, ought to have their corporate heads examined. Their processes aren't customer focused now. Just think when full EMR electronic processess gets really going! Even their website when you ask for a price of Prednisone, it comes back with physician diagnosis required. Unfortunately, there is no place to enter it on the site even if you do notice it. How does that help the consumer/your employees?

I also use CVS pharmacy, only because its so close to where I live.

I also have had numerous issues regarding the pharmacy staff telling me my insurance denied to pay. And the last time I did this, I actually called and spoke to a management member of my insurance company. And they told me this prescription WAS covered by my insurance and that they never even received a request for payment on this prescription!

So, I think its not a case of your insurance wouldnt pay for it...I think its a case of CVS trying to bilk people out of money by lieing to them and telling them their insurance wont cover something. OR, its because thier staff is SO lazy, they cant be bothered to check to see if your insurance will cover it.

And yes, I DO keep them updated on my insurance changes.

If it werent for the fact they are only half a block away, I would switch.

CVS no flu shots

I asked at the CVS Pharmacy "Where do I get a flu shot. A clerk who was doing nothing told me I had to get in a line of four to fill out an application. I did and it took twenty minutes just to get to the clerk..(So much for minute clinic) After I told the one clerk waiting on customers that I wanted a flu shot, she took my medicare card and then told me they ran out of flu shots. Why didn't the first clerk tell me instead of making me wait twenty minutes? It seems like the advertised "Come in any time" has turned into "Come in many times".
