Current Auto / sold me a bad car then &pretended& to fix it. Took my money.
This man (Micheal Walker) sold me his girlfriends car. I asked him to make sure the car was in good working condition and that no major repairs were needed before I just shelled out $2000.00. He said he drove the car and tested it and that other than a minor tune-up (and some clicking that cost around $200 to fix) and needing new fenders, it was a pretty good deal. So I trusted him and bought the vehicle. He insisted on $2000 CASH. Again, I trusted him because he was a friend of a friend and a mechanic. Over a period of months the car kept breaking down, the engine light stayed ON constantly. He would have me bring it in to fix several times over many months and I would pay him ($250 here, $140 there, etc.) only to have the same problems with the car. Finally I took the car to 2 reputable mechanics who both told me that the car was in such bad shape that not only shouldn't I drive it but that my safety and that of my family depended on it!!! I called the original mechanic in the Bronx and told him what the other mechanics said. He never returned my call to this day. I now have had the car for almost a year and I'm still spending money to fix it. This mechanic also state certifies vehicles for emission tests without even looking at the car!! I told him that I needed an emissions test for my car, he had me fax him a copy of my registration and plate number. Them when I got the, he just put the sticker on my car!! When I asked him about it he said he would do a "proper" check later in the week. He never did. My car now requires about $3000.00 worth of work.
