CT Coachworks / Beware

1 United States

BEWARE anything that looks to good to be true especially if from an RV dealer. We saw the sticker (big reduced price) and were suckered in!

We purchased a new 2008 Siena Coachworks in 2009. We are long weekend campers that dont drive more than 3 hours from home. EVERY TRIP we have to take the RV to the shop for repairs. Repairs include: Garbage disposal replacement, catalytic converter replacement, generator battery not charging (still working on that issue as shop can't figure out how it should be wired), cosmestic issues like defroster plate broken-AC vent screw stripped-ripped seats prior to purchase-clock taken prior to purchase (left wall mount), rear air conditioner leaking on bed, AC and outlet fuses blown, wheel bearing leak, various screws loose and falling out, drawers need tightening (then shop over tightened), coach and chassis batteries failed to restart after winter storage, front carriage suspension broken which required welding that didnt hold and second repair they created a bolted brace of sorts to fix break, and board for King Dome satellite had to be replaced.

Mechanics say "this comes with owning an RV". I think that is garbage. We owned a 2001 Winnebago and had only a couple of very minor issues in the 3 years we owned it. The Siena is turning out to be a beautiful looking LEMON. I love the interior features but am getting fed up with the constant issues especially when it hampers our camping experience and may start costing since we have passed the one year mark. I am VERY glad we purchased the extended warranty with this unit.

The Siena has spent more time in the shop than in a camp ground so far. I would never recommend the purchase of this RV to anyone---not even a hated enemy.
